Uninstalling Windows 7 and Reinstalling Windows 7
My HP Pavillion (p7-1254) Windows 7 operating system is corrupt and I was told to "Uninstall Windows 7 and reinstall Windows" using the backup/recovery disks made for me at the time of purchase. I need step by step instructions to do this and need to know how/where to find such information. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Doublechecking. Did you just uninstall iTunes, and not the related software and components?
The 7 can be caused by damage to one of the other software components associated with iTunes (most commonly Apple Application Support). If that's what is afoot, a complete uninstall/reinstall may be of some assistance:

My Windows 7 Professional desktop system hard disk got corrupted and I took the opportunity to install an SSD for a new system disk and reinstall Windows. The system is up and running on the SSD, with my old system disk now used for storage as it is still readable. The only Adobe product I have reinstalled so far is Reader XI but I would like to reinstall Elements 8 and Acrobat 9 without taking up more licences as both are also installed on my laptop. If you have the two allotted activations already and one was lost on the hard drive that failed then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

Can I format HDD and reinstall Windows 7 on Qosmio F60 without CD
I think my hard drive is failing on my Quosmio F60 so I want to reformat the hard drive to see if that will fix it. But I don't have the original packaging and information with me at the moment so I'm not sure if it came with a windows 7 CD or not. Either way, I don't have the CD.
I found on the net that most manufacturer's who deliver without a CD include a "recovery partition" or "factory image partition" that you can access during boot up. Does anyone know if the Quosmio F60 came with a CD or if it has this recovery partition or factory image partition? Or do you know if there's a way I can check if my computer has it?
If you have any other information on formatting the hard drive and reinstalling windows 7 without the CD please let me know.
Thanks.The notebook did not come with an Windows disk because there is an tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator which create the recovery disk.
The recovery partition was available and it allows you to recover the notebook without the usage of recovery disk but this does not work if the HDD has failed.

So if you dont have a recovery disk and cannot recovery the notebook using HDD recovery then you have two options:
- You will order a new recovery disk
- You would install Windows OS using an Microsoft disk -

Hey everyone, I just re-formatted my computer and reinstalled Windows XP, but I can't seem to connect to FIOS. I have the modem sitting on my desk next to me, and all the other computers in the house are connected to it by wire just fine, but when I replugged my wire back into my computer, nothing happened. I tried making a new internet connection, but it wouldn't let me do that for FIOS. The only thing I see under Network Connections is a 1394 connection, and it say Connected, Firewalled. I do not recall getting a CD or anything from the FIOS guy who installed it in our house a while back, so I have no clue what to do. Can someone please help?

It under network and is listed as "broadcom driver". Broadcom, Intel, Marvell are three companies that make network adapters. Since Broadcom driver is listed under network on the dell webpage I would assume that your machine has a broadcom network adapter. I would install that and see what happens. -

Formating and Reinstalling Windows Without a Recovery CD
I do not have access to my recovery cd as I am currently overseas, and im looking to format and reinstall windows. What would be the best way to do this? Are the recovery cds completely integral to the reinstallation of windows?
I just dont want to do the reinstall and find I have no screen etc.Hi
Well, if you have no Recovery CD you can install the Windows OS from the original Microsoft Windows CD. Then you can try to download the all necessary Toshiba drivers from the Toshiba download page.

But note: You should update the drivers in the right order. The drivers are placed in the right order and this is very important for the new installation.

Today, 01/23/2014, I tried updating iTunes, as I got a messsage that update was available. The update did not download correctly I got the message to uninstall iTunes and reinstall it. After the uninstall and reinstall I got an error message, that stated: The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program fo fix. then I got the message, iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. I had this problem as well but found the soultion on another post from turingtest2 - it worked for me:
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selectingRun as Administrator.

If you need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, your music files should not be erased or affected in any way. It is always a good idea to back up your data before making any changes to your computer, though.
