Unique frame conversion problem.....

alright, so I have semi-progressive footage(you can ask how if needed) that gives me 29.97 frames a second in this cadence, PPPIIPPPIIPPPIIPPPIIPPPIIPPPII
If I could remove the two interlaced frames and replace them with one progressive, it would be 24P, if I remove all the interlace frames I have 18P, but if final cut handles the footage without any modifying, it gives me 29.97 with the 2 interlaced frames being just the same frame played twice. So I've been messing with reverse telecining and motion compensation in compressor, but if anyone has any good ideas on how to fix this footage to be 24p with this irregular 3 progressive, two interlaced cadence, please let me know. I'm writing here because I considered shake could some how remap the clip or retime it to make the two repeated frames play as one or something. perhaps there's something to be done as an image sequence?

Sorry for replying so late, I usually get a notice when someone has replied.
Nope, I wish it were that simple, but it's a completely new cadence that even Black Magic (intensity Card creators) hasn't seen. the cadence is literally 3 consecutively different progressive frames in a row followed by 2 interlaced frames before starting over till the 5 frames make 30 fps. I think I may have fixed it with compressor through a specific combination of video settings and compressors smart reverse telecine. We'll see if this holds up, this method gives me uncompressed 422 HD progressive footage, but ends up about 9 gigs per minute. I want a Hitachi darkstar sponsorship on my figurative nascar.......

for example I have avi video It's frame rate is 25 fbs ,my image processing code is very fast that can process more 25 fbs,so I want to accelerate video acquisition

I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.

Conversion problem in PURCHASE ORDER

wrong conversion was done in Quantities/Weights tab of item overview during creation of Purchase Order,instead of putting order unit " 1 tonne = 1000kg" it was wrongly fix as "5 tonne = 4536kg", the order has been receive and issue , but during stock taking this conversion problem is giving wrong Quantity for the material in MB5B . Pls what can i do to resolve this.

1.Cancel material docuemt---MBST (Material document no and fiscial year)
2.Delete the P.O line items --Me22n
3.Enter the fresh line items in the same P.O
If partial stock Exists then do the Physical inventory process to adjust the Stock

How to debug file content conversion problems?

Hi,
I'm trying to debug a file content conversion problem. I'm mapping a few nodes in an IDOC to a file of fixed length fields. I'm using the "<Node A>.fieldFixedLengths", "<Node B>.fieldFixedLengths", "<Node C>.fieldFixedLengths", etc. parameters to specify the fixed length records.
However, a certain node (for e.g. Node B) is causing a problem and if it is present in the IDOC, the output file does not get created. Upon checking the XI monitor, I notice that the file gets mapped correctly and thus the problem lies when the file adapter does the file content conversion. How do I debug this because there is no descriptive error in the XI log? If this node is not present, the file gets generated fine.

If your SXMB_MONI shows, success status, then go to RWB->Message Monitoring->Message display tool and then check Audit log for the analysis,
So it wil help you debug the situation.
If there is no error, then check RWB->Component Monitoring->Adapter Monitoring for you file communciation channel..

Oracle to Mysql character set conversion problem!!! PLZ IGNORE

Hi Experts,
I have created a database link from Oracle 10g to Mysql 5.
I have installed Oracle Gateway 11g for this purpose.
When i retreive the data from sql plus the text is displayed as question marks.
Oracle 10g Database character set is WE8MSWIN1252
Mysql character set --->latin1
Character set of ODBC connector for mysql is latin7
Character set in the parameter file of HS folder is WE8MSWIN1252When i retrieve data from sql developer the text is fine(as i think it directly takes the character set of target) but
when i login from sqlplus i get question marks!

Regarding the problem itself, make sure that SQL*Plus has the right NLS_LANG setting in the environment. On Windows, in the Command Prompt:

Codepage conversion problem

In a DB to DB scenario, I am getting this error "Error: Unexpected error converting database resultset to XML, codepage conversion problem?" on the side of the sender adapter. I am not able to see any messages or trace in IE-Monitoring. Is there any log wherein I can find out the problem as to where it is occuring?

The JDBC sender adapter returns the rows selected from the database in the follwoing format.

Raw conversion problem

I have Photoshop Elements 6 (Camera Raw 4.2) and a Nikon D7000 (Camera Raw 6.3 minimum). I am using DNG converter 8.1 to create DNG files, but these still will not open in Elements. I am selecting compatibility of Camera Raw 4.1 in the conversion program. What else can I do?

Sorry it took me a long time to reply. If I send to dropbox (which I can), can I restrict the images to specific email addresses, or will it be accessible to anyone? Not that I care about the image particularly, as it was only a test.
Once I have an idea of this, I will do a final test & send the data to dropbox.

It seems like you're doing everything that you're supposed to be doing, and it is not working. I don't have an explanation why that is, but can you share an original NEF and its DNG via www.dropbox.com or similar and others can test with a newer version of ACR to make sure there isn't something corrupted wtih the files.

Journals conversion problem.

We have a currency conversion problem with the journals table.
Steps:
1.- We insert a journal in Local Currency (LC) with the journals functionality. Both convert at average rate (for example), so when we run currency conversion rules the value is converted in Legalapp application, but not in Journal Table. So if the users or auditors need to see all the journals in EUR is not possible to extract with the journals reports.
2.- Also we have the problem when we apply the carry forward rules for the next year, and the RE-Open functionality. Example, the flow of the year N applies at average rate, when we make the carry forward rule it goes to Opening Balance flow, and this opening balance doesn´t have currency conversion rule (AS-IS)(we cannot use an OPEAVG rule because we need the historical value in the opening balance flow). So we lose the EUR position value because we don´t have a journal to apply the RE-OPEN functionality.
3.- We have the possibility of inserting the Journal in LC and EUR (Group Currency) also, but here you are obligating to the users to manually convert the values of each account of each journal, and can be mistakes of the value that the user insert in the Journal Entry, with the values of the application (converted with the currency conversion functionality).

1. Journal tables contains just values for LC and only the posted journals are converted.
The Corrency conversion will be applied just for journal posted not for all journals.
You can see the value reflected into application just checking the the reports for special Data Source used by journal.
Journal module is used for adjustment which means the auditors can see the adjustment into local cuurency and just the final value posted. The rest of journal not posted has no importance because they don't have any impact for database values.

When you input the journal you will execute default logic or you can execute journal.lgx logic.
In any of these module if you place currency translation you will have your figures automat converted.

Dreamweaver cc html entity conversion problem in mac -NO utf-8 related answer please

I probably am fighting against a bug existing in DW for a while, and i'm really on the edge of bursting out!
Here are the specifications:
Dreamweaver CC from creative cloud (also tested w/ CS5.5 too) installed on mac, OS and DW user interfaces are english, and on mac turkish keyboard layout is also installed.
I have been using DW for maybe 15 years, since it was macromedia.. But was always on windows. This is the first time I use it on mac. Here is my problem step by step:
1- Dreamweaver > Pereferences > New Document > Default Encoding: Western (ISO Latin 1) (NOT UTF-8 PLEASE, IT KEEPS THE CHARS UNCHANGED, ISO LATIN1 IS IMPORTANT)
2- Go to Design View,
3- There are 6 special characters in Turkish (times 2 for the caps versions of course), type:
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
4- Go back to code view, what i should have seen was:
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
But I see:
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
There are 3 chars (and capital versions) NOT converted to html entity at all. Which were: ĞŞİğşı
But I should have seen them as: ĞŞİğşı
Any help would be appreciated, I do not want to leave my old friend DW just because of a weird conversion problem...

Ok, when you look at the code view, what do you see exactly?
do you see unconverted
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
or converted
ĞÜŞİÖÇğüşıöç
Here is one of my reasons:
I sometimes create newsletters in turkish for my customers, and the html files i prepare are sent to customers attached as inline through various versions of outlook or thunderbird, or through i completely different email sender company (none is sent by me, i only create the html file). And most of the time the headers and some coding are cut off from the code when used to send as newsletter, and i have no control at all on it. so i have to create absolute correct viewed/rendered html files since i have no control at all on which sending method will be used or which os or browser or mail system will be used to open it...

Sync and frame rate problems importing video to Flash CS3

Just like the subject states, I am indeed having frame rate problems importing video to Flash CS3.
When I export a video from Premiere with the settings:
1280x720
frame rate of 23.976
using H264 or Animation (basically every codec produces the same results),
"embed video on SWF and play in timeline"
When I do this the file exports fine. Playing it in Quicktime works fine and the audio syncs up no problem. But when I import it into Flash using the same settings, for some reason the movie clip is now too fast in that the video does not match the audio and seems to be at more like 12 fps now (just a guestimate). The action of the video is over long before the audio even comes in.I have verified that the frame rate is correct in Flash so it's not that.
I've done this literally hundreds of times in the past and suddenly it does not work and I can not figure out why. I'm not even really using video, but actually artwork that I am putting together as an animatic for an animated piece so the video could not have been imported incorrectly or digitized wrong either. Can someone out there please tell me how to make this work? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks for you quick response however it really doesn't apply to what I am doing in any way. I will not be uploading the video to a server. I am using the imbed function so I can use it as a layer and then animate over it. It is just reference and will ultimately be deleted. The Fla file does indeed carry the same specs as I stated in my first post. I have done it this way dozens of times and I am trying to figure out why it suddenly will not work.

Ghosting effect - Is it a frame rate problem?

I've just made a music video lyric video (I'm still really new to movie editing) and there's this ghosting effect. Does anyone know what may cause it? Is it a frame rate problem, or the frame blend thing?

Soooo, you didnt export ntsc and it looks like you upscaled to 1080p but a different fps than original also.
In gereral if you start at say 24fps and make it 30fps, your editor has to "make" new frames ( add 6 per second ) and it does that by creating new frames out of what you have on timeline. Sometimes a VBR 2 pass will give you better results than 1 pass, but you have to experiment a bit ( just export small section of timeline for tests...and try to use area where you see your "ghosting" ).

Frame rate conversion problem

I need to edit a Keynote presentation into some footage of a workshop. The workshop footage is h.264 from a Sanyo camcorder that I've transcoded into Apple Intermediate Codec at 29.97fps. The Keynote presentation is a ProfCast recording made during the workshop, so the two should be in sync. I'd like to combine the two into a multiclip and switch from one to the other. But the Profcast recording is 30fps and FCP won't let me make a multiclip because the clips have a different frame rate. I've tried to export the Profcast to 29.97 in QTP but it always comes out as 30fps,
How can I translate the Profcast footage from 30fps to 29.97?

You have mentioned DVD and now 24p Broadcast.
"I trust this more than letting FCP's rendering engine do the frame rate conversion."
Somewhere this will happen.
I don't know of any broadcasting in 24p?
If someone knows please set me straight. If you're outputting for broadcast it most likely will be (HD Cam) 60i or 50i.
I do understand a lighter load for Compressor (20%) and that is logical.
As far I know 24p is just for a film out.
I do hope you find the answer to your questions and report back as to what works for you and how you delivered this project.

Exchange 2010 Content Conversion problem

Hi All
Since a bunch of month, i've started to see some email stuck in the submission queue with this message:
400 4.4.7 The server responded with: 550 5.6.0 M2MCVT.StorageError; storage error in content conversion. The failure was replaced by a retry response because the message was marked for retry if rejected
It's always journaled emails that are stuck. Each time, i've extracted the message and opened it and each time it has a file called not supported calendar message.ics.
I've opened this file with notepad and it's always something similar (UID changes):

When it comes to this issue, I would suggest the following:
Verify that you have the latest build of Exchange, Outlook, and mobile device OS/Application
Seems to be multiple SP/update levels with 2010 SP2 UR 5 & higher
Verify that the messages are not from external users which might be sent thru an antispam firewall -OR- have a disclaimer stamped (which can cause corruption in some instances)
These are journal reports and they all originate internally (database reports versus hub). Messages are sent through my external "Virus Firewall" (Trend Micro IMSVA) and then are delivered to my external, hosted mail archive.
Check the message for anything unique or unusual (ex: date, timezone, attachments, addresses, message-headers, language, etc)
The journal reports are sent from the address "[email protected]". This domain has its own send connector. The only messages that get hung-up are journal reports of Calendar items and the various acctions (accepted, tenative, etc).
Save the message and try to replay it in a test environment that does not have journaling enabled. Does the message replay if journaling is disabled vs when it is enabled?
Hopefully this will help narrow down the issue
The messages themselves are fine and are delivered without issue. The
journal reports that are having the problem, so I don't think there is a need to try this step.
That all said, do you have any thoughts?

Make frame freeze problem

Two problems I have....
1st problem...when I make frame freeze, the filters disappear. How do I keep those clips with filters stay look same. Some clips are fine...no problem. But other clips when freeze, filters gone.
2nd problem...I decide to use QT conversion to save still image but the pixels ratio into 4:3 which it should not be.... video is 16:9. How do I keep 16:9 when export still image?

My freeze frames usually take on the appearance of my clips with whatever filters I have applied. What you see of the freeze frame is often affected by which tracks are auto-selected in the timeline.
As far as the pixel aspect ratio is concerned, if you are staying within FCP, the pixel aspect ratio should be compensated for. However, if you need to create a still that looks correct at square-pixel dimension, you'll need to resize it in photoshop (don't forget to de-interlace it as well). The square pixel image size I use for 16:9 stills iis 864x480.
