Unique requirement
Hi frenz,
There is a unique requirement from the client.
For PO returns we are following the sales process.
i.e treating the vendor as customer and selling the return material to them.(this is done for Excise recoverable)
They want Sales Account to be determined into Purchasing account.
i.e they want to assign a G/L account of Consumption/Purchase group in the Revenue account determination.
Is ther a way to do it.

Hi Sathya,
Check the setting in OB40
Check the G/L account assignment in the tax code maintenance in FTXp transaction.
go to FTXP transaction enter your tax code then go in to the details of the tax code in the detail screen you place the cursor on tax Condition type then click on tax account tabs here you check G/L account asigened or not
If not assigned do the assignment then try.

My requirement is to create a new movement type which can not hit regular GL both the Finished goods and COGS (which is mentioned in the above entry) when PGR done, to hit separate GL. Kindly tell me how to create a new movement type which is supports the above requirement and where i can assign new GL.
Pls tell me its very urgent.I dont think its possible, as what u r thinking
Movement type only gives u the transaction keys
and in OBYC this transaction keys gl accounts are attached.
more over u can not make ur own movement type. U will have to create movement type by coping the std movement type only .
so when u copy this transaction keys are also copied. and this u cant change
look in OMWN u cant chang any thing hear.
so i think its not posible to by creating new movement type

Parallel Processing in ODI with Unique Requirement
Hi All,
I have a unique requirement. I have a scenerio which i have to run multiple times in parallel with different user inputs.
Eg Suppose user inputs A,B,C then i have to run the same scenerio 3 times with input filter as A B and C respectively in parallel.
If user inputs A,B,C, and D then i have to run the same scenerio 4 times with inputs A B C and D in parallel.
Does any one know a way to achieve this.

Sales Returms - unique requirement
Dear Friends,
The following is my unique requirement to process Sales returns. For sales returns i am using order type RE and movement type 655, 653 and 651. By using this movement types and order types PGR (Post goods receipt) will happen, stocks are moved in to unrest. use or QI. Upto this well and good. My requirement is the value of material is make to zero.
when PGR is done the entry is
Finished goods Dr Eg. Rs1000
COGS Cr Eg. Rs.1000
The above price is maintains in material master (VPRS), When ever PGR done this should be make zero it means that particular GL should not contain any value. If any body knows please tell me how to do the same. This is very urgent for me, kindly tell me.

VPRS condition works as per requirement routine,the logic of this routine is
--Plant should be entered in the line item and there sould not be any billing plans in the order then only the requirement will satisfy and the condition type triggred during sales order creation.
Solution1:
You deactivate detemine cost check box in the return item category REN and try it.Iam sure it works,if it not works follow below,
Solution2:
Now if you do not want this to be determined during return sales,then you make customized routine and assgn this at requirement of pricing procedure without distrubing std. code. based on SD document category(for ex:H),so that you can arrive solution.

Unique Requirement: No Financial entry only Inventory posting.
My client has a unique requirement.
He wants that for one of the Item Groups there should be no financial posting ie it should not reflect in Excise Registry but they want the same Item Group to have all inventory postings and records.
How to solve this
KhushwantThere is an item named "subcontracting" which my client is calling to all the outsourced job alloted to my clients from its Business Partner.
Their job is to do the job for its business partner on turnkey basis. They use to get the Raw Material from their Business Partner only and Finished goods are then forwarded back to my client's Business Partner.
In all this transaction no exise are affected although the items are excisable actually(in real world) but not in SAP.
So they dont want the Financial Entry to occur but only Inventory Tracking provision should be there in SAP.
Kindly Solve the issue if possible.

in our existing scenerio, we have one vendor and one customer. thus in vendor master, we are maintaining in customer account field as single customer.
we also have a case of mutliple vendor one customer case which is also working fine which works fine by maintaining customer account field ( of vendor master) as single common customer.
in the present requirement we have one vendor but multiple customers. how to configure the same.

Unique Requirement regaridng SY-UNAME
Folks,
We have been on SAP system for 10 years. The SAP login user name till this point are made up of names. Now they want to change it to alpah numeric one that includes personnel number. Almost all the transaction data in SAP records the created by information which until now is based on names. After the conversion, it will be a number.
Since it will be difficult to recognize a person based on the number, the business wants a conversion to happen that translates the number into a name format.
We considered using screen exits. But it will help hand picked transactions. Owing to the volume of changes, we are considering implementing <u><b>CONVERSION EXITS</b></u> and change the domains of system fields like UNAME, XUBNAME, UBNAME, etc.
Your opinion on this matter is highly appreciated.

1. I personally feel that
such requirement should not be encouraged.
2. Tampering with the user Id/ user names
either for data purpose / display purpose
is not suggested. It may create confusions.
3. Regarding personnel number,
sometimes it happens that due to business
circumstances, a new number is given
to the same person.
(The old number is shown as resigned)
4. Moreover,
whenever we look at a screen,
and we see the user id,
then from the name (user id)
one can somewhat know about the actual person.
But from personnel number,
it is practically impossible.
5. Tampering with the source information
about the userids,
(the information is almost 10 years old - as u said)
is practically not advisable
in my opinion irrespective of
whatever trick/conversion exit/data manipulation/etc
we use.
6 This requirement is almost like
changing 10,000 material codes in the system,
chaning the company codes so that
the code Looks & Feels Nice!
etc etc.
Afterall , what is the point in doing that ?
what will be the gain ?

A unique requirment for business process
I have recd. a unique requiment for GRs. My clients wants to block selected GRs for parking the invoice. No one should be able to park the invoice against such GRs without permission from authority.
Can we map this procdure???

Creating invoices (invoices, credit memos, subsequent debits, subsequent credits) in Logistics Invoice Verification
Parking documents in Logistics Invoice Verification, and making changes to these documents, for example, deleting them

need some great favour from you all. Please help me with your valuable inputs.
I have R/3(ECC 6.0) and SRM5.0 systems.
Now my communication is between R/3 & SRM-EBP(Component of SRM).
I will have to send the PO data along with its attachments to SRM-EBP from R/3.
Normally if only PO data, we have two ways to do. By standard ALE/IDOC or handle through XI. But the problem is even the attachments stored in those POs should be transferred to SRM-EBP.
More clearity on attachments in PO:
Normally they attach some documents like PDFs, txt file or even mails also to maintain some PO history or rather kind of versioning in R/e. You can see this by clicking the button "Service for Objects" on the Top Left hand corner.
First of all, is this possible through XI?
If yes, how?
If no, atleast by anyother ways?
Your inputs on this very highly appreciated.

as far as i know IDOC doesn't support attachments,you need to use proxy for this,ABAP proxy supports attachments.

AR - Requirement to split the receivable line
As part of implementing OrderToCash for an international shipping company, we have a unique requirement to split the receivable line with respect to the number of revenue lines.
Due to the accounting doc having one receivable line, we are facing challenges in applying cash and disputing at the individual line item (shipment level).
We effectively need there to be a 1:1 relationship between a Billing document line and an AR invoice line (currently the AR receivable line is a cumulation of the Billing lines). This said, is there any configuration or user-exit on the SD or AR side to split the receivable line (at the time of releasing it to accounting) even though it is hitting the same reconciliation account?

I know that when you enter FI side invoice we can use the 'Amount split' tab on FB70 or FB60 screen after entering the total amount in the 'Basic data' tab.
But I am not sure how to enable it when using copy control from delivery to billing to accounting.

I need some help in setting up some unique requirements of my client.
1. How do I have exception color coding for a characteristic. I have the following - risk number ( KF ) and I need to show 1- "ATTN" / 2- "Normal" / 3- "HIGH" based on the risk value with color coding of red , yellow and Green. I understand I can have exception color coding for the risk number but how do I acheive this?
2. I have a requirement to have a RRI jump on single click. I did find an onclick provision in the web template - but is there any api for using the onclick functionality through javascript.
3. One more requirement is to have comments displayed in the template . my options are :
a. use an ABAP report
b. somehow show it in BW web template - the scenario is that the user( project manager) will give comments on project overruns and that has to be displayed on the template for everyone else to see - the size of the comment is restricted to 255 characters and stored in a table in R/3. How do i handle this?

1. Exception reporting is for a KF and I have to highlight a Characteristic - This topic was also discussed earlier but am unable to find the thread.
2. If you select view source for a web template - you will have each value with a onclick=; which means that there is an API available for the same - I am trying to find the same. I can do it with crystal reports but it would involve changes to the setup we have with respect to EP Integration etc.
3. A dummy characteristic can accept only 60 characters , I have to show atleast 255 characters - and as of now the only available solution seems to be ABAP - any ideas on how to do it through BW - one option I read about was :
1. Split it into pieces of 60 each and then concatenate them in the cell definition in the table modify class - but this will not work if we are to have drilldowns - and with regard to using documents - the client does not want to click and get the data - h/she wants to see it on screen. Also how do I show documents for all values rather than only at the header level ?
2. Change the translation length or something like that to allow for 132 characters - but was unable to find the same.
Any other options ? -

I have a very unique requirement as such we have a form and in the "TO" string field where we specify the email address of the receivers, now we want to send address memo to multiple users, however in our search window we can search only one name at a time & need to open search window every time for every new user to be included in the address field. We need to have AJAX type of functionality such as AJAX does asynchronous calls to the back-end and get help values dynamically even when the user is entering help values.
In my case if I start typing S in the manager filed, an event should get triggered and return back the names of all managers who start with the letter S,
If we go to Google.com and start typing, as you type,e Google gets help values and displays them below the input field. This is based on making asynchronous calls to the back-end.
We want to send interactive adobe forms to the multiple users for their approval or information. while entering email ids of multiple users, we need to have functionality as described above.
I'll appreciate if anyone can help with some clear steps, document link or working code sample etc.

Inventory posting - stock in transit G/L account
Hello!
We have a unique requirement that we need to post the stock in transit inventory only if the delivery is for one particular customer (sold to party). It is our own company but not on SAP hence, on the books, an inter company transaction. All that is different in this case is the account assignment group of the customer which basically is no help in configuring OMWB (G/L account determination for inventory postings).
The material/plants/movement types are all the same for all transactions, thereby providing us with no 'uniqueness' in this particular transaction to post these stock in transit inventories to a different G/L. I could possibly look at having another movement type if that can help but then again, how will that be valid only for a particular transaction with this customer, I am not sure...
Can anybody provide me with a step by step instructions on how can this be achieved, if it indeed can be? Appreciate any help or posting here if anyone wants any more clarifications on the issue...

As you might already know that the G/L determination happen based on Movt type and the valuation class. in your case as the movt type and the val class are same, you willl not be able to customize to post it to different account
so for this you do 2 ways:
1: you create a new delyvery type and a new movement type so that you can configure the account determination (OMWB).
2. you can influence the account determination by writing a code in the user exit ZXMBCU02 here you can force the system to post it into the different G/L account.

in this scenario I wouldn't use the help service. The help service is more suited if you need to interact with your web application later on (meaning the state of the web items or data provider changes) or you need the state of a Data Provider or web item in your application. In your case it's just write something to an ODS. Why not just include a form in your Web Template. When submitting a form just call a BSP in a new window. In the BSP read the transfered parameters and do whatever you like.

(1) If merely restarting your Mac does not correct the problem, try all relevant suggestions from:
