Unistalling adobe acrobate 8

Hi peeps, I wonder if you can help me with the below. I have a version of adobe acrobat pro 8 on my machine, but because I am leaving my current job I need to have all the software unistalled and deactivated from my machine. Now, how do I find the product number of my adobe acrobate 8 (we have quite a few cds so I don't know which one is mine and need to find the right product number) and how do I deactivate it please?
thank you

Hi there,
You can get the first 20 digits of your serial number by choosing Help > About Adobe Acrobat.  You can also deactivate your software prior to uninstalling by choosing Help > Deactivate.

  • I need to configure Acrobat to display PDF files in Safari, but I have a lot of troubles to do it.I have OX S yosemite, I unistalled adobe acrobat, I closed safary and I installed the new version of adobe acrobat.

    Dear everyone
I need to configure Acrobat to display PDF files in Safari, but I have a lot of troubles to do it.
I read a european commission document explaining that
    http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/support/sep_usermanual.pdf
If Safari does not display pdf forms in the browser window, uninstall all older versions of Adobe Reader and download the most recent one. First close Safari and then install Reader. Launch Safari and you ought to be able to open the pdf files inside the Safari window. If you install Adobe Reader 10.1.x without first closing Safari, Safari will not display the pdf file inside its browser window until it is re-launched. For further help, please see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-safari-plug-acrobat-x.html
I have OX S yosemite, I unistalled adobe acrobat, I closed safary and I installed the new version of adobe acrobat
but when I open a web page that I need to allow me to display and modify PDF files it is not working.
I checked the following web page
    Troubleshoot Safari plug-in | Acrobat X, Reader X
    that is recommending the following:
The AdobePDFViewer plug-in is used to display PDF files in Safari using Acrobat and Reader.
This plug-in is installed as part of the Acrobat X or Reader X installation. The location of this plug-in is:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins/AdobePDFViewer.plugin
but after the new installation with this folder is completely empty and I am still
    unable to open these pdf.
Does anybody knows anything else I can do?
    Best regards
    Ramon

  • Unable to unistall Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Trial for Mac

I downloaded the Adobe Acrobat Pro XI Trial for Mac on my MacBook Air.  I decided it was not worth the money to purchase.  How do I get rid of it?  It has expired, but now I cannot open my regular Adobe Reader?

  • How do I reinstall Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

I unistalled Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  I am a Creative Cloud member.  I want to reinstall Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.  HOWEVER, my Creative Cloud app manager shows that I already have it and I can't reinstall it.  I've signed out of the CC desktop app, and signed back in again.  It still shows that I have Acrobat XI Pro.  Help!

Maybe an Adobe employee will come along with a better solution
While waiting, go back to http://forums.adobe.com/community/creative_cloud and, in the area just under Ask a Question, type in
    reinstall

  • Uninstall Adobe Acrobat X Standard

I have Adobe Acrobat X Standard and I use Windows 7. These errors started on Friday 12/13/13.
When I convert an excel or word document using "create PDF" add-on I am now getting a error that the page contains renderable text. When I go to preferences and try to choose the Advanced settings I get an error 5 - Access is denied, unable to create the temporary folder. I am still able to create the PDF but again, the errors are new.
These are new errors to me. I have always been able to scan documents to a PDF then OCR the text and now I cannot.
I tried to uninstall the program and it stated Error 2203. Database C:\Windows\Installer\150159jpi. Cannot open Database file. System error-2147287035.
I did run the Repair and the Uninstall features on the disc and it states the same Error 2203 as above.
How can I unistall Adobe Acrobat so that I may reinstall it again?

You can use the cleaner tool to uninstall Acrobat X Standard - http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Corrupted Fonts In PDF

I am hoping that someone can help with this issue that I am having. I have been using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for most of the year without any issues until recently. When I have been creating PDF from Internet Explorer 9, some of the text in the PDF is correupted, while other text is not. It displays properly in the "Print Preview", but after the PDF is created it is messed up. It does this on both the 64 and 32 Bit IE9. I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit as an O/S. Any idea as to why this is doing it, but more importantly how to fix it? I have tried to unistall and reinstall the software, but that didn't fix the problem. Please help!
    Laser_Guy-2001

If you use ctrl-D>Fonts you can see if the fonts are embedded and if the original font or a substitute is being used. I would guess that the fonts are not embedded and that is your problem. So, to help you trace the problem give the version no. of IE, the sub-version of Acrobat (like 9.4.5) and how you are creating the PDF (like printing to the Adobe PDF printer). For the creation, what job settings are you using. Standard is the default, but you might want to try the press or print options.

  • Help require with installing Adobe Acrobat onto my Macbook Pro Retina.

Help require with installing Adobe Acrobat onto my Macbook Pro Retina.
I have successfully installed all of my creative cloud apps with the exception being acrobat.
I cannot print from Indesign to PDF.
I have unistalled, reinstalled and still no Adobe Acrobat.
I now have to go back to Windows 8 and create the PDF's there.
Any one know how to get around this issue?
    Thanks in advance
    Kelvin

OSX has effectively killed the ability to print to pdf, (print to pdf eliminates most of the "Rich features" of current pdf).
Export from InDesign, always, excpet for the 1% of the time where you know why print to pdf would produce a better result.

  • Setting Adobe Acrobat as the default viewer of PDF's in Internet explorer rather than Acrobat reader

I have searched the support for quite a while to no avail with this problem.
I am trying to view PDF's in Acrobat Professional 9 when I open one from a website for markup purposes such as stamps, etc. For some reason, when I open a PDF in IE7, it opens in the viewer program and none of the markup tools are useable. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I have unistalled the viwer software and repaired the Acrobat Pro installation.
    Thanks
    Ryan

I think this good old tweak from Reinhard Franke still is worth a try:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b6778d
    "[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe]
There you will find the full path to the program IE will use (Acrobat or Reader exe)."

  • Can i reinstall adobe acrobat on another system?

I want to buy adobe acrobat reader and want to know few things
    1. can I reinstall the adobe acrobat on a new system which I intend to buy in near future ( if yes how many times I can do this)
    2. can I save the download version of the acrobat reader for future use

Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat are two different programs. The first id free, the second isn't. If you buy the non-CC cversion of Acrobat, you can have it installed in two computers provided you don't use it both copies at the same time. Also, you can uninstall and reinstall it as you please, provided that you properly unistall it from one computer before installing it on another. I am not clear what the situation is with the CC version.

  • Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) and Adobe Acrobat 7.1 Standard Issue

I am running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit and IE9.
I have had Adobe Acrobat 7.1 Standard installed on my PC for a while without any problems.
Today, while trying to open some forms on a government website, I received the following message:
I clicked OK to install Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) and restarted my PC to complete the installation.
Once I logged back into my PC, every single icon on my taskbar, start menu, all programs, etc. had been changed to the Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) icon below, and when I clicked on any of them, I received a message that Adobe did not support that file/application.
The only way I was able to resolve this issue was to unistall Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) from my PC and everything went back to normal.
Is there a way to have both Adobe Acrobat 7.1 Standard and Adobe Reader X (10.1.2) installed on my PC without experiencing the above issue?
Please note that I need to have both programs, but I cannot afford to spend money to upgrade my current version of Adobe Acrobat.

Thanks for your input Michael Kazlow.
However, it appears that contrary to your statement, it is possible to run different versions of Acrobat and Reader at the same time.
I have found this Adobe's article outlining 4 diffent solutions to resolve the issue I was experiencing in my original request on this forum http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/860/cpsid_86069.html
In my particular case, I was able to resolve my issue by following the first solution in the article.

  • How to get rid of French on Adobe Acrobat.I need English to use this software on my brand new laptop

Hi, I need English instructions for my Adobe Acrobat, I have a brandnew HP laptop with windows 8. Do I just need to simply unistall and reinstall the soft ware from Adobe site?
    Bapak Daud

For Reader, yes. As far as I know (I only have version 10) Acrobat Pro installs in a multilanguage pack that includes English, French and German, maybe Italian too. Reader installs in only the language selected for the download.
You can download the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

  • Adobe Acrobate 8.0 Professional trial uninstall help

Good morning, I downloaded a trial of Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional & I've decided not to purchase at this time. I would like to unistall this trail as I'm now unable to use Adobe Reader as the Professional version gives me a pop-up window saying I cannot use it without purchasing Adobe Professional. I've tried to unistall with "Add/Remove programs" & I get a error msg "error 1402.could not open key: HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Classes\adbanner.adbanner\CurVer. Verify that you have suffcient access to that key, or contact you support personnal." Please help - I have Windows XP.

You need to be logged in as the administrator to uninstall the package. Sometimes you have to reinstall before you can uninstall. Even after you uninstall, you may have to use the MS clean up utility mentioned in other topics and reinstall Reader (the uninstall will like break Reader).
Strange that you have been running AA8 Pro trial. It has not been available for almost a year.

  • Can't download Adobe Acrobat Reader

    I'm using Vista.
I used to have Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.2.1 but accidentally deleted 1 of the 3 files on the Uninstall Program. I was still able to open a pdf at that time.
I've decided to upgrade it but it wasn't completed, it's looking for the installation package, AdbeRdr812_en_US.msi.
We've tried the System Restore, not successful.. I'm not able to open any pdf at that time anymore.
Tried to unistall the program, it was still not successful.
I was able to uninstall the program using Advance System Care.
Now, I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 9, got an error: 1606. Tried to use MS Fixit, still got the same error...
What happened? Will i still be able to download it?
    Thanks!

Thanks for helping me. Although I cannot download the 9.3 version, I can now view a pdf file although i really have to save the link first.
I've entered "Windows Installer Cleanup Utility"  on google chrome & I was able to download a software: RegCure.
I really don't know what happened next, but after that I'm in the process of installing Adobe Reader 8.0 then had a shortcut on desktop.
Tried to open a pdf file by opening the application & it was successful.
Tried to view a pdf file online but it's prompting me to install version 9.3, where I'm getting the error :%APPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat\PREFER~1.
I think this is better rather than unable to open a pdf before. I'll not insist in upgrading it anymore.. Thank you very much and thanks for your patience. =)
