Try to locate the oemXX.inf file in Windows\inf folder. XX could bee any number, in my case it is 37.
You should see following on the first lines of text in the file.
[Version]
Signature="$WINDOWS NT$"
Class=Bluetooth
ClassGuid={e0cbf06c-cd8b-4647-bb8a-263b43f0f974}
DriverVer=10/17/2002, 5.1.2535.0
CatalogFile=BTDongle.CAT
Provider=%WHQL%
Remove this inf file and the related pnf file file from the inf folder.

  • Windows XP SP2 - Camera driver will not load

Have the same problem on two different machines. iTunes sees the phone and all the things in it sync as expected, Contacts, Calendar, Pictures, Music, etc.
The first time I connected the phone after taking a picture, I get the pop up showing that Windows sees the Digital Still Camera. Shortly after that I get the "Windows encountered a problem" message stating that my new device might not work properly. The phone is connected directly to the PC's USB 2.0 port using the cable that came with the phone.
Device manager shows the Digital Still Camera with the yellow exclamation mark on the icon. The device status reports...
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware
because a previous instance of the device driver is still in memory. (Code 38)"
I removed iTunes 7.3.1 and reinstalled it. I removed the camera driver, rebooted, and let Windows re-recognize the camera. Same problem, both machines, both XP Pro SP2.
    Any ideas?
      Windows XP Pro

Resolved. No wonder I'm the only one that encountered this.
I use a Visioneer Strobe Pro USB sheet fed scanner.
    http://support.visioneer.com/products/mobile/EOL/StrobePro/
In Device Manager under Imaging Devices, it was showing Digital Still Camera (with the yellow exclamation mark) and Visioneer StrobePro USB Scanner.
On a whim, I decided to unplug the scanner. Then I closed the scanner driver via its icon in the system tray. Within a few seconds, Device Manager updated itself, Digital Still Camera had changed to Apple iPhone. Right away I got the 'Camera connected' dialog asking how I wanted to retrieve the photos from my device. It also shows up in My Computer under Scanners and Cameras. Problem solved.
Next I plugged my scanner back in and now it's got the yellow exclamation mark indicating a problem with the driver. No big surprise.
Once I disconnect the phone and plug the scanner back in, Device Manager updates again and the scanner driver shows back up without the yellow icon. Lastly I reload the scanner driver.
I'm not sure why these two conflict. Don't know if Windows forbids more than one imaging device to be connected at a time or what. Maybe the scanner driver is so old that it doesn't behave properly...it's certainly not certified on XP.

  • Can't Install bluetooth driver on Windows 8 64 bit. MSI GE620DX

I cant install the provided  Windows 8 64bit Bluetooth driver from the MSI download page. Tried many times, Reboot Uninstall current driver, install again, and ETC.
I had sent a question to MSI already, it's been a month already since I sent a ticket and I still got no update or fix from MSI Support.
Does MSI support usually take this long to provide fix or reply for this kind of issues? I felt disregarded cause I haven't got any reply aside from the advise to download the driver on the MSI download page; which is the driver that is not working. I've already sent them a message that It won't work. -_-
The Bluetooth function of my Laptop is useless as of now.
Does anyone here encountered a Driver problem similar to mine?

I finally got this fixed. I uninstalled all Bluetooth related drivers and programs using Ccleaner and clean all its traces in the registry as well, rebooted and tried installing the provided Bluetooth driver provided on the MSI Download Page and succeeded.

  • Bluetooth Driver "Disappear" after waking computer in Windows XP SP2

    Hello,
This has always happened after waking my computer up from sleep under Bootcamp. I am in Windows XP, I put it to sleep. I come back later, and occasionally my bluetooth driver disappears.
This can be better illustrated with the following screenshots. The first shows the driver information missing.
    http://students.cup.edu/coo9893/pics/UO0001.jpg
The second shows that anytime I try to change the settings of the driver, it won't allow me.
    http://students.cup.edu/coo9893/pics/UO0002.jpg
Has anyone else shared this problem, or know of a solution? Rebooting into Windows XP solves this, but it's a very frustrating process if you were in the middle of some work.

I would try SP3 to see if its fixed in SP3.
I know it was a bug in Vista RTM: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929577
There are more complaints about BT disappearing on the MS site.
Kinda makes you happy running Mac OS X, you would think a company would fix it prior to shipping.

  • 8800 Bluetooth connectivity & windows XP SP2

    Please can someone help.
I have just been given an 8800 for Xmas and I want to connect it to my PC.
I believe the only way to do this with an 8800 is via bluetooth. However I know absolutely nothing about BT.
I have windows XP SP2 which I have read on WWW that it supports BT, but do I need to do something else in order to connect because when I try using the Nokia PC Suite it doesn't find my phone.
Do I need to down load a driver?
Do I need some other form of connectivity - I have seen dongles(?) mentioned elsewhere, do I need one of these?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am very keen to make the most of my phone.

    Supahoopsa,
You just need to have a bluetooth installed in your laptop. If it is not internal, you can buy one for like 20dollars. Its like a USB Key.. install that on the PC and then turn on the BT on the phone,
You can now connect the two.
You may need to look at the manual that came with the BT (for the PC) to check how to pair devices.

In Windows 8.1 Bluetooth Not Working

    Hi @iamvinod34 ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Pavilion g6-1318ax Notebook and needing help with Bluetooth. Here is a link to fixing Bluetooth issues.
If that does not help try looking at the section in this document Labeled: Make sure that wireless communication is turned on. Sometimes just turning on and off the Bluetooth helps.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system. If an updated is needed this could cause this issue.
    Hope this helps.

I am glad to hear that your issue has been resolved after uninstalling the graphic driver, and now your query is that you wanted to if your system is shipped with additional graphic card.
Below is the link where you can verify the system hardware configuration by giving the complete system MTM (Machine Type Model) number, if you provide us the MTM number we can assist on that.

  • Re: Can't reinstall windows 7 bluetooth driver

I have a new Portege T210 laptop. Bluetooth was working and then stopped, saying it wasn't enabled when it was. I am using the in built bluetooth.
I did a System restore and now when I turn on bluetooth, windows 7 home premium prompts me to install the bluetooth driver. However when it starts the progress bar it stops a little way in, and just stays there saying please wait.
I have tried several times, including rebooting machine.Thelongest I have waited is more than one hour, it just sits there saying it is installing the driver.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
I really don't want to do a system recovery.

I appreciate the input but I have already doen two system restores for other reasons. I have too much setup now to go back to square one. Windows 7 is causing me no end of problems. I can't install any anti virus sftware except Windows Security Essentials, email pop 3 software doesn't work and peer to peer software (VUZE) doesn't work either. All the programmes can't contact the server, Win 7 seems to be blocking everything except its own programmes. Email programmes I tried are Thunderbird, Eudora, Outlook and the Win 7 one.
This machine is starting to look like a lemon.
A system recover seems ridiculous, the machine is 2 weeks old and the shop where I bought it alrady did a system restore back to their OS installation point, then Norton didn't work at all and I can't uninstall it. I have always found Norton to be hopeless and would never install their software. That may be the problem I guess.

  • Problem with bluetooth driver (bootcamp windows 7) ! Can't connect any bluetooth device...

1st word, so sorry about my poor English !
My device here is : macbook pro mid 2012 MD101 (MacOSX & Windows 7 Ultimate, my question here's on Windows 7) !
I have a bluetooth mouse and a speaker, at my workplace I need to use 2 devices wireless, although they have both got wires (for aesthetics ya know )
I've also installed full bootcamp drivers, but bluetooth driver's still not work at all ! So can someone show me how to install bluetooth driver correctly, please ?
Many thanks to ya all !

There are a number of posts related to accessing and/ copying issues between Windows Vista / 7 and AirPort Disks. Two potential solutions being forwarded are: 1) Changing the LAN Manager authentication level, and/or 2) Disabling the Windows Search feature.
To change the LAN Manager authentication level:
From the Windows Vista / 7 desktop, click Start
    Search for: security
    Click 'Local Security Policy'
Goto Local Policies > Security Options
Under Policy, double-click 'Network security: LAN Manager authentication level'
Change level to: Send LM & NTLM responses
Under Policy, double-click 'Network security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP based (including RPC) clients'
    De-select 'Require 128-bit encryption'
    Click OK
     To disable Windows Search:
Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features
On the right-hand side, click "Turn Windows features on/off"
Scroll down, and de-select "Windows Search".
Press OK, close all windows and restart.
A third "solution," that has worked for me, is verify that both the AirPort base station and the Win7 PC are using the exact same Workgroup Name. In my case, I use "WORKGROUP" (without the quote marks) for this name. From the AirPort Utility, you would enter this value on the Disks > File Sharing tab. On Win7, Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System > Change Settings > Change > Workgroup

I grasp that after updating to Windows 8.1, your Bluetooth is not functioning.
Have you ran The HP Support Assistant ?
Have you tried  Using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 8) to overcome this issue?
The wireless button driver affects the Bluetooth on your system. When I checked for an updated Wireless button driver for you unit and Windows8.1, I did not see one listed.  I  have located one that should be compatible with your notebook and Windows 8.1. Would you please try installing it. sp63752.exe
Here is a link to Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 8) that may also be useful.
If the issue remains try these steps.
Step 1. Go to device manager
Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that you want
Step 3. Select "Update Driver Software..."
Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Step 5. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
Step 7. Select "Microsoft" at "Manufacturer" list
Step 8. Finally select "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link".
If you are still unable to pair with a Bluetooth device try the following:.
Step 1. Search for "Change device" in the Windows 8 Start menu.
Step 2. Click on where it says Change device installation settings.
Step 3. Select the No, let me choose what to do option.
Step 4. Check the automatically get the device app option
Step 5. Click Save changes to save the settings you just chose.
As well you can try this.
Step 1: Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type “services.msc” and Enter
Step 2: Now find “Bluetooth Support Service” and double click on it
Step 3: Now click on Log On Tab and Type in "Local Service" without quotes
Step 4. Click on “This Account”
Step 5: Now remove any passwords leave the password field blank
Step 6: Underneath the upper left title should be a hyperlink "Start" Click it
Please let me know the results.

  • Activesync doesn't work - How to use Windows bluetooth driver?

Well, I have nearly given up on trying to get the Toshiba Bluetooth stack to work with my QTek PDA Phone. The reason for this is that the stack does not correctly enumerate all the functions of the device and therefore I can't configure the activesync program to use the correct com port.
Frankly, I'm disappointed that Toshiba chose to ship their own ad-hoc bluetooth implementation for Windows when Windows has their own.
So the question I have is, is there a "Correct way" to completely remove the Toshiba provided bluetooth stack (without using the Ghost image I made before installing it) and get a proper Windows bluetooth driver?
As for bluetooth security, the only added security I've seen using the Toshiba stack is that you can't actually make it work with anything so you aren't at risk.
P.S. I've tested with other Windows CE bluetooth devices as well, same problem.

Well I don't like it because it doesn't actually enumerate the serial port devices of my telephone and therefore I can't configure Microsoft ActiveSync to work with it since there is only one com port configured instead of 2.
I need the Microsoft Bluetooth stack so that I can have a standard configuration.
So it's more than just removing the Toshiba stack, it's also about installing the Microsoft stack, or getting the Microsoft stack to recognize the hardware.
Thanks for the info so far, but do you know if it's possible to enable the Microsoft stack?
