Unit conversion Error during initialize planning area

Hi,
When the dependent requirements planning area initialized for version 700 after filling BOM for Finished products for a Plant, system throws error message u201CUnit conversion not possible for product XXXXX (KG=>KM) u201D. The planning area UOM is KM and the finished product uom is also KM. The components uom is KG and EA. Why this error is thrown.
We can't maintain a alternate UOM measure for the component for EA and KM conversion.
Can someone explain how to overcome this error.

Please check the specific product on your system if they have same base UoM both ECC and APO. Also do you have user-exit for unit of measures implemented on your system?

Taking long time to initialize planning area.

Hi All,
Few questions on initalizing planning are. We have about 500000 CVC and 8 millions records in it. We have recently upgradd to SCM 7.0. I am noticing now that every time we run background job to create CVC and initialize planning are, I noticed that hob SAPAPO/TS_PAREA_INITILIZE is taking lont time about 1.5 hours . Dont know why is it something to do with Memory or can we do any setting to improve performance.
Also please advice if we have to initialize planning area every time we create CVC'c or Realignment. Or just during month end job.

1) Housekeeping of your existing data by archiving or deleting unwanted
data and keep your system free from all inconsistencies could be your
primary solution to resolve this issue
2) To keep the size of time series objects to a manageable minimum it makes
sense to initialize planning areas by scheduling background jobs that run
periodically. This is sometimes known as working with rolling horizons.
3) If you want the system to roll over periodically without scheduling the
same job repeatedly, you should use selection variables to enter relative dates.
The system then calculates the start and end dates each time the report is
executed. For instance, you specify that the initialization period should be
from 12 months in the past to 12 months in the future. If todayu2019s date is
July 1, 2003, this means that the initialization period starts on July 1, 2002
and ends on June 30, 2004. If the report is started anew on August 1, 2003,
change the dates to August 1, 2002 and July 31, 2004.

DB13 error: 0003 Error during initialization

Dear All,
Since last 2 days, Production backup is getting failed with error "0003 Error during initialization".
Strangely, there are no related logs to investigate further... Nothing was changed in backup related configurations.
We are using Tivoli (TSM) backup solution..
System Details: HP-UX 11.31i, Oracle10g (10.2.0.4), ECC 6.0
In DB13 Action logs, it is showing following details only...
Action: Whole database offline backup
Brbackup logfile : bedjjsnb.log ##### Actually it should show filename something like "bedjjsnb.aff"
Return Code : 0003 Error during initialization
When I click on "Show Actiion/Detail log", it shows nothing... (Log file does not exists..)
There is no file with above filename in /oracle/<SID>/sapbackup and in back<SID>.log
I have checked below things :
1. BRTOOL permissions (As per note 113747 - Permissions for DBA tools BRTools and SAPDBA)
2. /oracle/<SID>/sapbackup permissions (it is 755 with ora<sid>:dba ownership)
3. I have checked /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log, but there is no error.
4. Test for communication between SAP server and Tivoli is OK.
5. TSM Session query is also returning desired result.
6. I made sure that there are free and scratched tape in TSM for SAP backup pool.
7. No other backup was running at the time of SAP backup.
I have tried taking backup on DISK which is successful without any errors or warnings.
What else I can check ? Am I missing something ?
Any inputs will be highly appreciated...
I will try to fire backup manually later in the evening after business hours to see what exactly going wrong in between.

Error during Network Planning (SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME)

During Interactive planning in SNP when releasing the forecast to network (thru transacction /sapapo/snp01) we are getting an runtime error "SAPSQL_INVALID_FIELDNAME"
Please help. Error analysis appearing in dump is mentioned below
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYNAMIC_OSQL_SEMANTICS', was
     not caught in
procedure "SELID_GET" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
    exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    An Open SQL clause was specified dynamically. The contained field name
    "SEL_9AACTNAME" does not exist in any of the database tables from the FROM
     clause.

Yes you are right. The forecast is already released to SNP and the team is now doing network planning. We are facing the error here.
Our technical person has done the analysis and it seems that its due to some Local objectcs that are implemented in system.
Will update once the issue is resolved.

Error While Copying Planning Area

Hi all,
I am in the process of creating a new planning area by copying 9ASNP03. But while i copy the system throws the following error "Planning Object Structure ID 9ALA is invalid". Also 9ASNP03 is not active.
Please help me out with this error.

Hi Arun,
Please activate the POS 9ASNPSA linked to the Planning area 9ASNP03 or any copy of 9ASNP03.
Once you activate this POS 9ASNPSA, you can just copy the inactive/active Planning area 9ASNP03 to custom.
This would solve your error "Planning Object Structure ID 9ALA is invalid"

Error during EPMA planning app deployment

Hello Experts,
I am trying to deploy an EPMA Planning application through Workspace. EPM version is 11.1.2.3
Below is the error that is getting thrown while deployment (with selecting options - "Refresh Outline", "Create Security Filters" & "Full Deploy"):
Creating Security Filters...: Index: 1, Size: 1 An Exception occurred during Application deployment.: Index: 1, Size: 1
Any idea what should be exact meaning of this error/exception?

Does it deploy if you remove the Security filter option, what is the error message if you deploy just the security filters from within the planning app and not epma, if it is generates an error from the planning app there should then be some information in the planning and essbase logs.

Before passing this unit to the program
check the conversion Exit in the Domain of the Field
and use the fun module
CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT and pass that value and see how it takes
otherwise use the fun module UNIT_CONVERSION_SIMPLE and pass the value to program

Character to number conversion error during uploading csv

I used a code from otn but it does not work to the number datatype value..
It gives an error like number to charcter conversion error am not able to resolve it.

If u r giving alternate UOM in Material Master.
first u need difine the conversion factor.
in basic data view u will have addtional data tab.
in that u need to define conversion factors first.

Decimal Conversion Error During Export

We are migrating our production system from HP-UX to SOLARIS and Informix to Oracle.
During the export phase for the process SAPAPPL1 terminates with error :

Inplace unicode conversion - error during import in step 2

We are having problems when running the unicode conversion import in step 2: Load Kernel Library. The problem occurs when SAPINST runs the FIXR3OWNS program. We can run FIXR3OWNS manually when logged in with QSECOFR.

Thank you very much. Stupid error :-).
I also did step 2 with fixr3owns yesterday with SAPINST and then it worked. I got to step 3 "iSeries Installation Step", but got an error in SAPINST when "Creating infrastructure for SAP system BND". I logged off SAPINST, patched CRTR3SYS and started SAPINST again and then got the error in step 2 wirh fixr3owns.
I´m now past step 2 and in step 3 "iSeries Installation Step". And I get the same error as I got yesterday...
From the job log:

If anyone interested, we have manually validated and deployed the application. From then on the batch was working fine again. It looks like validation has been failing during the batch, but once we did it manually, it seems to have cleared itself.

Routing Entry error during Inspection Plan creation in BAPI

Hi,
A Material has an task list created manually thorgh QP01. Am trying to created another through BAPI BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE , changed the group counter to 2, but left the Task list blank. The change number field is also BLANK. Other data are populated for structures.
While executing the BAPI I get the error "For further processing, the routing entry is missing", the Operation number is passed correctly. Which routing entry is it referring to ?
Help with some pointers.

I could execute the BAPI BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE for a Material with already existing Task list.
But i had to pass the Change Number, Set the Change Rule to 1 (With Change Number) and Change Value = 0.
But the new created Task group counter does not allow any more changes beacause of the Change rule = 1.
Can we not create a task for existing Material without the change number?
Even if we create with change number how can we allow it for changes?
What has to be the value combination for Change Rule and Change Type for allowing the change to task?

Conversion Error During the Execution of SQL Server Job

I have a production SQL server and a test SQL server that mimics the production server. On the production server all the jobs which do a variety of things using Transact SQL and SSIS packages work flawlessly. However one of the jobs on the test server fails
at a step and issues the following error:
executed as user: DomainName\administrator. Conversion failed when converting datetime from character string. [SQLSTATE 22007] (Error 241).
The step failed.
Here is the code contained in the steps Command window (same exact code that works fine on the production server):

I don’t see anything preventing this code from executing. However, I am not a programmer. My SQL Server version is below:

Could you run this query from management studio in test?
select convert(varchar,max(ProcessDate),101) from I_Loans
It could be something to do with the ProcessDate value which had issues to convert

There was an error during initialization. Failed to load an application resource (internal error).

I get this error 4 times when I open reader and can;t repair or uninstall it 11.0.06 (Mircrosoft windows search filter host needs to be closed).

I haven't installed any third-party plugins. However, looking at the list of plugins, I see that there are two copies of ECMAScript: EScript.api dated 12/18/12, and EScript_AVG_RESTORED.api dated 1/21/13. So my bet is this is a side-effect of my anti-virus blocking the JavaScript security hole that was fixed by Java 7 Update 11. I deleted escript*.* from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe and the errors have gone away.
