Unit of measure problem between Order UOM, Base UOM and Inspetion UOM
Material: ROH-001
Base UOM: Meter
Order UOM: Kilogram
Inspection UOM: Roll
I have already maintained conversion factor in material master between meter and kilogram.
Is there any way to maintain KG in inspection plan header level and Roll in inspeciton plan operation level?
I tested, but the sample quantity is not as expected. Below is my testing data, please advise, thanks.
10 KG = 1,989 M
100 KG = 1 Roll
GR: 100,000 KG = 198,900,000 M
Sample size = 200 Roll (My expected sample size is 50 Roll)
Sampling plan:
Lot size Sample size c1 d1
8 5 0 1
15 5 0 1
25 5 0 1
50 5 0 1
90 20 1 2
150 20 1 2
280 32 2 3
500 50 3 4
1200 80 5 6
3200 125 7 8
10000 200 10 11
35000 315 14 15
150000 500 21 22
500000 500 21 22
10000000000 500 21 22
sorry, my mistake.
This is applicable.
Problem solved.

Unit price validation in Purchase Order, Goods Receipt PO and A/R Invoice
Hello!
I want to have validation of the Unit Price field in Purchase Order, Goods Receipt PO and A/R Invoice documents.
This means that user has to get some kind of message if she/he do not enter the Unit price in above mentioned documents.
I can not use the price lists for this, to get the field populated automatically, because I do not have all the prices...
I am no longer newbie when it come to SAP, but this really puzzles me
Thanks,
DejanHello guys,
I have tried to add this code to check if the field Unit Price was empty in the Purchase Order form (Object ID 22)
But it gives me an error message - Error converting data type varchar to numeric (CINF)
I am getting the same error message even if I have some value in the Unit Price field...
I am really confused - what is wrong with it???
Here is the code from the Transaction notification
IF (@object_type = N'22' AND @transaction_type in (N'A', N'U') )
BEGIN
IF EXISTS (SELECT T1.DocEntry FROM OPOR T0 inner join POR1 T1 on T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
WHERE (T1.PriceBefDi IS NULL OR T1.PriceBefDi = ' ') AND T0.DocEntry = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
BEGIN
Set @error =1
set @error_message = 'Unit Price cannot be blank'
END
END
Thanks,
Dejan -

What are you talking about? If I'm not not mistaken the iPad was released in April 2010 so there is no 2009 iPad version.

ALternate Unit of Measure as a Order unit in PO
Hi everyone,
I have a problem while ordering the Quantity in PO with alternate unit which is maintained in MMR. The problem is
in MMR, I have maintained EA as the UOM and PAC as the Alternate unit of measure.
while in PO, i am trying to give the 'Order Unit (OUn) as the PAC which is the alternate unit maintained. But it is not accepting and
again reverting back to EA. i couldnt find out the solution. But some POs for that material is already ordered as PAC unit.
Could it be problem with the MMR ?
Regards
SivaHI,
Go to Inforecord of that material with that vender on that plant.
Change Inforecord(me12)...here in general data...change the order unit.
system will give the conversion factor as u defined in material master.
Hope Help U !

Adjusting the behavior of sales unit of measure on sales order
Hello Everyone,
I have a question regarding adjusting the behavior of sales unit of measure (UOM) on sales order (SO).
We maintain 3 UOM on material master u2013 A, B, C; where A is base UOM and C is sales UOM.
If we change the material on existing sales order in VA02, system also always changes the UOM on SO to C as well because C is sales UOM on material master. Sometimes SO quantities are in A or B UOM and we do not want system to change them to C when material is updated.
We know it is a standard SAP behavior and the question is if it can be adjusted somehow (in configuration or some other way), so system is not changing the UOM on existing SO to sales UOM when material is updated.
PS if we leave sales unit of measure field in material master blank, when material on SO is changed system is still changing the UOM, now to the base UOM A
Thank you!
AlexANSWER: According to SAP there is no way to change the behavior without taking the risk of breaking a lot of stuff.

Alternative Unit of Measurement Problem
Dear Gurus,
My problem is once I activate altyernative UOM in material master, while issuing materials it is accepting any UOM along with the UOM which is mentioned .
For example my Base unit of measure is TO and my alternative UOM is FT3 . But while i am issuing material using HL or CD3 it is accepting and post the entry without any message.
Kindly help me out to restrict alternative UOM which i am defined in Material Master.
Thanks in advance
Best regards
SoumenI am not getting what u are saying. We are using ECC 6.0.
In bottom left under conversion block
Numerator
Denominator
Exponent
Additive Constant
Decimal Pl rounding
Unit of meas family
And one more block Convert unit of measuremnt
Value entry 1.00 TO
Conversion to target unit 1000.00000 KG
Conversion to SI unit 1000.00000 KG
Apart from this anything is ther kindly describe me the path how to find out.

Hi,
A material has its base unit as "Number" & additional unit as "KG" while creating PR it takes only NO not KG and same follows in PO. How can that be solved?Hello
It will take NO while creating the PR even if you change in Material master purchasing view. i.e. Ordering unit as KG and also in info record. while creating the PO, the unit will be changed to KG based on conversion factor. After Gr, the system will show the stock in NO as NO is base unit of measure. (stock keeping unit).
If you want to change the base unit of measure, then please refer the following poitns :
As per the SAP standard functionality , We want to change the base unit of measure (base unit). for material master, during the change, the system performs extensive checks in order to avoid inconsistencies in the applications which use the material master .
In particular, the following checks are performed:
The base unit must not be defined as an alternative unit of measure for the material
No International Article Number must be assigned to the base unit
No proportion/product units must be defined for the material
No configurable material must be assigned
The material must not be used as a configurable material-
Stock must neither exist for the previous period nor for the current period -
No physical inventory must be active -
No reservations or dependent requirements must exist for which the deletion indicator is not set
No planned orders must exist -
No purchase requisitions, purchase orders or scheduling agreements must exist for which the deletion indicator is not set-
No WM transfer requirements, no WM quants or no WM posting change notices must exist -
The material must not be a bill of material
The material must not be contained in a bill of material -
The material must not be used as a production resource/tool -
The material must not be used in task lists -
No standard cost estimate must exist for the current or future period
No production orders must exist
No planned independent requirements must exist
No run schedule headers must exist
If the base unit has dimensions, no serial number profile must be assigned
No sales and distribution documents must exist which have status Not processed or Partially processed
Other alternative solution in case of Urgency:
Creation of a new material master similar to the current material and using the new code for further usage.
Warm regards

How can i change unit of measurement in sales order on header
Dear all,
I have material master with base unit of measurement " Ea ".
I have to take unit Pc in sales order.
how can i change unit on header in sales order.
i changed unit on line item in sales order by setting in sales unit field in material master.Hi,
You can very well do it, please do the following steps,
Go to material master and select the Sales Org.1 and 2, here maintain the sales unit PC and
it will ask you for the conversion, so maintain your conversion for PC to EA. Then maintain
the Division, delivery plant, material pricing group and account assignment group(if not maintained) and save it
Now create the sales order for that resp. material, you will find that system will pick up
the sales unit which is maintained in the material master's sales orgnization tab.
For this you need not to change at the header level of sales order
Please check and revert.
Thanks,

Decimal places in unit of measure in Sales order
Hi,
In the Sales Order application in PCUI, when I create a create an order for customer XYZ, and add product ABC for qty 1 which uses unit of measure PC, the qty is displayed with 3 decimals as 1,000 whereas if I use the unit of measure EA the quantity is displayed without the 3 decimals as 1. I need the unit of measure PC to not have the decimal places like in SAPGUI.
Could anyone help me understand how this can be achieved?
Thank you for help in advance.
Regards,
PriyaTo elaborate better.
Again, use Tcode CUNI - Unit of measurement : Initial Screen.
At initial screen, choose TIME from the list (where by default AAAADL- no dimensions is there).
And click on UNIT OF MEASUREMENT button.
In that you will find MON - Month.
There go for details by selecting MON or select MON and press F5 from Key board.
For MON unit maintain following parameter as per your requirement:
-Number of decimal places for number display
Use - This parameter determines the number of decimal places with which this measurement unit is displayed.
-Base ten exponent for floating-point display
Use - This exponent determines how the values for this measurement unit are formatted as floating point numbers.
Examples - If the exponent is 3, the floating point numbers have the format xxx.xxxxE3.
And deselect commercial meas. unit in application parameters section.
I would suggest instead of changing standard settings of MON, you create ZMON in TIME dimension.
Thanks & Regards

Unit of measure in Sales Order
Hi All,
We have maintained base unit of measure as EA. the sales unit is not mentioned and hence system will take EA as sales unit also. We have maintained alternate unit of measure as BOX and a conversion factor for the same wrt EA.
When user enters sales order as 1 BOX we want tha system should convert the same into appropriate qty of EA. Right now the Unit is captured as 1 BOX if enterd as BOX. How to map the conversion of this BOX into EA immediately so that always the order is saved in unit EA.
Regards,
PrashantHi,
For this you should use the sales unit and it's conversion of each sales unit = how many no of base units and save this data at master level(MMR sales area data1).
once this mapping will done system will take default measurements of sales units and user can change this to the needed alternate units in the filed of "SU" after order quantity in sales order. -
Batch specific unit of measure in process order
Hello,
I have a BOM with a component with active ingredient.
Batches are classified and transaction MMBE shown stock correctly in both units.
But when creating the process order I get two items with same item numer in the material list.
One for batch specifiv unit of measure which is fine.
I also get another line in the base unit of measure.
In table RESB both records have movement allowed so they show up in MIGO.
This increases the total requirements for the component.
What is happening??
Best regards,
TOrThanks for caring!
As for transaction MMBE it all looks fine. So basic definitions must be OK up to that point.
I think the point is to set requirement for the amount of active ingredient.
Do the batch determination for this.
Do the goods issue in physcial quantity which is the base unit of measure.
I did try now with KG in the BOM. I still get double items in the process order. Now both in KG.
One line is correclty copied.
The incorrect line which is the same in both cases says 1 KG. which is the correct conversion from 0,01KAI.

Material upload: alternate unit of measure problem
Hello,
I'm uploading materials using LSMW (BAPI nethod: BUS1001006). I have a problem for the records with alternate units of measure. I put the units in a separate file and map the ISO code and the Numerator. However, I receive an error M3333 for the materials with 2 rows (one basic UoM and other alternate), which says that I have to maintain conversion factors for the alternate UoM. I thought, I'm doing so by providing Numerator (E1BP_MARM-NUMERATOR), but somehow it's not enough.
Any assistance will be highly appreciated
Thanks in advance,

I have maintained Uom as PC for an Perishabe item but system is allowing .5PC for issue.(i.e. fraction of PC)
I want to restrict it as PC only. How can I do that?
Thanks in Advance
ShuvanHi,
Go to transaction CUNI and select dimension first and then go to unit of measurement and then select unit and thr in display make decimal places as ZERO.
So that system will not allow fractions , only whole nos.
