Unit of measurement in CUNI.

Hi All
In Cuni transaction
For unit of measurement= Volume and  SI = M3,
But due to some changes happend and now SI = KL,
Now my question i  want to change SI=M3 again in Volume ,how it will be  possible , i tried it by new entry but the field SI is disable . is there any option.
Rgds
Ana.

Hi,
Transaction = CUNI.
Unit of Measurement -> select Volume.
On the top toolbar, you would see options Display, Delete, Transport, Create. Next to it is a button called "Declare SI unit".
Click this button. In your case you should see two entries : one for KL & one for M3.
Select the radio button for M3 and press SAVE.
Hope this solves your problem.

  • Unit of measure with language Key

    Hello Guruz,
WHile creationd of purchase order, there is a check kept which compares the vendor communication language which gets updated in the Po header - Communucation tab with Db table T006A which holds the Unit of measurements with Language Key and pops up an error message.
It cheks the order unit in the PO, and the T006A whether the unit is maintained in the Language key as in the PO header - Communiction tab.
But while creating a unit of measurement in CUNI, we dont have the option to maintain the language key for the UOM.
In CUNI, it defaults the language key as EN in table T006A.
I need a prompt support from you guys on this issue. Please suggest how to go about with this?
    Best Regards
    Greg.

    Hello,
When i am trying to go for the language key in CUNI, it says that the said language is 'not available in server'. I guess it is checking whether the language patch is updated in the server.
But it doesn't sound logical to maintain all the unit of measurements in all the vendor languages. Suppose if we are having vendors with 75 communication languages and we are having 50 units os measurements, so does that mean that we have to maintain units of measurements 75 X 50  times ?
Kindly provide your inputs on the issue. We are facing lots of issues with this control kept in PO header checking for the T006A with the vendor communication language.
    Regards
    Greg

    Hi,
I am trying to maintain unit of measure translations using CUNI transaction.
When I save the translation detail system doesn't ask for transport request number.
What could be the reason? Any idea?

  • Error  while creating PO --   Unit of measure not defined for lanuage  ZH

    Hi all,
i  have created the PR with EA as UOM. Then while creating PO, i am getting error like
'  Unit of measure not defined for lanuage ZH' .
    Then  I execute CUNI
Then menu is GOTO > Translation > units of measure
enter source language and target language . After this i am getting the below message
--->  Language not available on server
Please suggest what i should do. Thanks.
    Thanks
    pabi

    HI Pabi,
Go to material master for material in purchase requisition, the Go to Additional data and maintained language as ZH in material master data.
Also the other possibility, that if in your case purchase requisition are converted to purchase orders through background jobs,
then check the background job execution in SM37 whether that background job has been triggered twice parellely in the background, which could have resulted in locking of same purchase requisition at same time and hence your are getting the Error.

  • Unit of Measure PCE is not an ISO Code

    Hi MDM Experts,
We experienced problems in transferring the Catalog item to the shopping cart. The following error message appears:
"Incomplete items in catalog. Only complete items were transferred "
I checked SLG1 for the OCI error message and found this log:
"Unit of measure PCE is not an ISO code. Item will not be transferred"
I checked table CUNI in both the ERP and SRM server and I found out that PCE is indeed an ISO code. How can I resolve this error? The system is saying that PCE is not an ISO code but the table shows that it is. Is this a bug or something?
Would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!
    ADP

It turned out that in ERP and SRM, ST is the ISO code used for UOM piece. The ISO code in the Data Manager was changed to synchronize the three systems.

  • Unit of measure ST is not defined as a commercial unit

    Hi Experts,
While doing Punch Out catalogue in the Maintenance Order, i have received the following error "Unit of measure ST is not defined as a commercial unit".
I have checked in the transaction CUNI, and ensure that the above UoM is maintained.
This is a standard error message M3 491.
    Any pointers will be appreciated....
    by
    Prabhu

    Hi Prabhu,
    GOTO CUNI
Check whether Commercial meas.unit field is ticked or not in application Parameters tab.
If not maintained, maintain here the tick

  • How to correct CIF error Base unit of measure does not exist?

    Dear experts,
I'm trying to cif a location product with base unit of measure KG in R/3 and alternative unit of measure well maintained.
it gives me a CIF queue saying that
"Base unit of measure ZXX does not exist (Product 0000000000000XXXXXX has not been created)"
I do not understand why, the unit ZXX does not exist in the alternative unit of measure for any of the materials managed
I also checked CUNI table and ZXX is not there neither in R/3 or APO,
    Thanks for your help
    E

Looks like the Alternate UOM --Zxx is not maintained in APO.
    2 ways to do this:
    (1) program- RSIMPCUST
Re transfer all your UOM settings from R3 to APO
    (2) Manual Maintenance in APO:
    SPRO>SAP NETWEAVER>GENERAL SETTIGNS>Check UNits of Measurement
    Thanks

    Hi
Please maintain the translation in the Following Configuration
Logistics - General->Material Master->Configuring the Material Master->Define Structure of Data Screens for Each Screen Sequence
Select the Specific Screen Sequence & Maintain the languages
Similarly please maintain the Translations in the Transaction CUNI for the Base UOM in respective languages
I hope currently in your system only Language EN is maintained
    Thanks

  • Unit of measure is not an ISO code

    Dear Expert,
Unit of measure M has ISO code MTR and Dimension length.  the UOM is in sync with ECC6 . However when trying to order from srm it bounces back with error message Unit of Measure M is not an ISO code.  Further checking in CUNI shows that the SI Unit is defined as the same as the UOM.  I have tried to convert this but it is not allowing me to.  Some uoms are unavailable in SRM such as KM and CM which may have something to do with it.
Can anyone advise what action to take.
    Many Thanks

    Hello,
In my system I have the same configuration. Are you creating a cart from catalog?
If so, you could try the following:
    1. If it's possible, change the UoM in the catalog to match the ISO Code. In this case MTR.
    2. If the first option is not possible, then code the BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to convert the provided UOM to match the
ISO Code of the SRM system.
Remember that the check on the ISO Code takes place before the BADI is called so you need to clear the error message regarding the ISO Code from table et_messages.

  • Unit of Measure 'EA'

    Hi,
In Purchase Order PO quantity is accepting decimal places. To restrictr this, In CUNi transaction i have put decimal places as 0. But still decimal quantity in PO is not getting restricted. How to restrict decimal place in PO. Is there any setting or any error message setting.
    Thanks
    John

    Dear John,
You should be able to restrict the number decimal places either with transaction CUNI or in IMG under
SAP Netweaver -> General Settings -> Check Unit of Measurements
Set the number of decimal places as blank and save.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Unit of measure EA allows transactions in decimals ? Is EA indivisible?

Unit of measure EA allows transactions in decimals ? Is EA indivisible?
There are two scenarios. While creating a Bill of material - based on the configuration (see below) if you enter a quantity with decimals for a part number for which the Basic UOM is EA the system displays a message "Unit of measure EA does not support decimal places" THIS IS GOOD AS EXPECTED
While transacting using MB1B, MB1C, MB1A, MFBF, MIGO or other transactions the system DOES NOT check and it is currently allowing us to post with decimals (1.25, 1.312) for part number for which the unit of measure is EA.
Was not EA supposed to be an indivisible unit of measure? why is the warning message getting activated while creating or changing a BOM and why not while transacting stock?
We have configured EA in the CUNI transaction as follows:
    Int. meas. unit      EA
    Commercial           EA              each
    Technical            EA              each
    Decimal places
    float. point exp.
    ISO code             EA
                                          Primary code
    Numerator            1
    Denominator          1
    Exponent             0
    Additive constant    0.000000       X Commercial meas.unit
    Decimal pl. rounding                 Value-based commt
    Unit of meas.family

you cannot restrict this behaviour with CUNI customizing, you can only check and stop this in a user exit.
SAP inventory managment allows and stores 3 decimals for any unit of measure. You can only define how it will show the value to the users and how it will round the decimals if it calculates the conversion. But if you enter manually with decimals, then SAP will not round this.
please read OSS Note 931971 - Decimal places in stocks and stock postings
    and
Note 77525 - Quantity unit conversion in inventory management

  • Unit of measure not defined for language ZH

    Hi,
We were creating a PO when we encountered the error which states "Unit of measure not defined for language ZH".
We executed CUNI to translate the units of measurement to our target language. System prompted "This object was segmented. Only new lines evaluated." What does this mean?
We tried creating the PO again, however we encountered the same error that the unit of measure was not defined for the language.
Please recommend action/s that we should take. Thank you.

Take a look at the below threads. Your problem has the solution.
