Unit of Measures missing in Crystal XI

Crystal Reports XI fixpack 3.2.
I'm designing a crystal report that contains a distance field with a measurement and unit of measure. In bex the value displays correctly,eg. 104,000 KM. In crystal I have three options for my key figure: Value, formattted value and Unit.
The value field contains 104,000, the formatted value contains 104,000 KM and the Unit field should contain "KM" but it's empty.
I don't get anything from unit field for any of my data rows (about 100 rows returned).
Do I need to make some setting adjustment or something? Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Thanx,
er

Upon further review I noticed that the Unit dimension is being correctly populated when the value is a monetary amount. For example $100 CAD, the CAD is populated in the Unit dimension for this key figure. The distance measurements (all KM) don't have anything.
The UOM is present in both key figures in the bex query when run in Bex Analyzer.

  • Unit of measure missing for LagDuration in ES for Project Network Activity?

    Hello,
I just tried the Enterprise Service "Read Project Activity" (ProjectProcessingManageProjectIn) from ESM ERP 604 in the ES workplace. The field LagDuration in the NetworkRelationship consists of only a number, but no unit of measure. I changed the unit from Hours to Seconds via the Web Portal and watched the results of the Service: the number did not change although one hour should result in different lag time than one second. IMHO the unit of measure is missing in the service definition. Or am I getting something wrong?
    Regards,
    Uwe.

It is even worse: There are several duration fields in the "Manage Project In"  Service Interface (e.g. Activity BaseDuration). In the responses these fields always contain a naked number (no unit of measure). In the WSDL these fields are of type "Duration" which has a pattern restriction of "PnYnMnDTnHnMnS" - not an int type! In a request if you pass e.g. "PT20M" (which is a valid Duration according to the samples) you will get a nasty parse error. Can anybody explain? Has anybody worked around this issue?

  • Unit of Measure missing in Shopping Cart

    Hi all,
Currently, we have implemented BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER to map Unit of Measure from z-table, based on shopper's backend system. The mapping is done successfully when it return to Shopping Cart (e.g. PAC (catalog UoM) -> PAK (backend system's UoM)).
When I am at "Step 2: Shopping Cart", I've tried to view Item details (click on Magnifier icon in 'Action' column), and I noticed that mapped UoM 'PAK' is still there. However, when I click on 'Check' button, I found that the following error message returned:
    "Enter a unit of measure"
I am wondering why UoM will be missing, and I notice that when the time I click on 'Check' button, it went through to BADI BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI of Method BBP_SC_CHANGE. I have checked import table IT_ITEM and found out that IT_ITEM-UNIT is missing.
Although I have put an breakpoint in Method BBP_SC_CHANGE, I discover that IT_ITEM-UNIT is missing ONLY when I click on 'Check' button from Item detail page above.
Is there any steps missing in config, or otherwise?
    Many thanks.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Muthu,
    Thanks for following up.
There is no 'Incomplete PO status', and what I can see in History is that (there are two line of messages):
      - First message, "Follow-on Document Created";
      - and second message, "Error in Process".
I have checked tcode CUNI (under Unit of measurement button with No Dimension from drop-down menu), UoM 'PAK' is exist with the following info:
      - Internal Measurement Unit = 'PAK'
      - Commercial = 'PAC'
      - Technical = 'PAC'
      - ALE/EDI --> ISO Code = 'PK' with Primary code checked
with the above, the Catalog Item's UoM is "PAC", when it comes to BAdI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER, table CATALOG_CONTENT has the UoM ISO code of 'PK', which mapped from Commercial 'PAC' based on CUNI config.
If I removed my code (bespoke table mapping) in the above BAdI, Internal UoM "PAK' is being picked up. When it returns to Shopping Cart, PO is still managed to be created.
Do you have any idea on this?
    Many thanks.

    Hi Experts,

When converting this PR to PO the vendor entered has the language German(DE) and system throws out an error message mentioned in the subject.
I have checked in SPRO under UOM settings and found that this has been maintained for all the languages the path I have checked is SPRO --> SAP NetWeaver  -->General Settings  -->  Check Units of Measurement -->  ISO Units --> Select the UOM (BOX) and then in Menu options (Goto --> Translation).
Can anyone help me out what can be the other possible reasons.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Partner profile LI and unit of measure

    Hi gurus,
I am experiencing a weird situation and probably you have any clue about it.
I have configured an output to send the Purchase order information via EDI. I have used the standard function and programs to create the output. I have created the condition record for that particular vendor and output.
Then i have created the LI partner profile in we20 with the vendor number and the message types ORDERS and ORDCHG and I have also included my output with the ME10 and the ME11 in each of the messages.
When i create the PO and the output is sent I have the PO number but then i have the standard error message " Update was terminated"  with the error "There is no conversion factor for material and unit of measure !" I have reviewed the PO and i have used a UoM PC that i have as an ISO code.
the point is if I use a different LI partner profile with exactly the same information then the idoc is sent without any problem. I have deleted the partner LI that I orinally created and i created it again as a copy of the one that is working but without sucess.
I have reviewed the vendor master data...but all is exactly the same.
I think or there is some config missing or that I have created the partner profile incorrectly. But it is rare that the partner profile has any link to the UoM.
Do you have any idea what it can be?
    thanks so much

I understand from your mail, you have maintained the ISO equivalence to your UOM. When you change your vendor in WE20, did you change that information in MN04? This is the place where the right output type is triggered.
Other than that make sure you configured all the necessary items in WE20 -> Outbound Parameters -> process code and all otehr necessary settings.
Let me know, how it works?

  • Rounding off unit of measurement

    Hi Experts,
IWe are currently implementing ECC 600 for one of our client.
Most of there products are items with unit of measure as Each (EA).
Each unit is used for parts and hence it should not allow any decimal places like 1.4, 0.5, etc if the unit is EA.
But in the standard SAP system available this check is not there and it allows to create PR, PO, GR, etc for such quantities. Allowing such unit of measure can cause problem later on.
We need to block decimal place to be allowed for EA but could not find any settings for restricting this in Config (t.code CUNI). The field for decimal places is already blank and we have made no changes in the standard unit of measures.
Kindly suggest how to achieve this, is there any setting we are missing?, is it that it is a bug in SAP and a note is released for the same?, if none of this than any work around or exits available.

if your EA would be physically really an EA then the user would post any fractions.
I personally feel that you have just used a wrong unit.
a Wheel would for example have the unit EA, even it is technically possible to post with decimals, no user would really do it as it does not make any sense.
but if you have a drum with 200 kg of a material, then you better use KG as base unit in case user remove the content from the drum partially.
Technically SAP will always post with 3 decimals in inventory managment. you can hide the decimals from beeing displayed with settings in CUNI, but you cannot really restrict it.
Better educate your users and talk to the guys who have done the movement which caused decimals to get knowledge why they have done it this way.

  • Batch specific unit of measurement.

    Dear Gurus,
My client is getting raw materials in ingots by unit of measurement in Weight.
But at the time of issue we have to consider  lenght and weight. we can not use unit of conversion for the same because iron ingot diameter varies slightly, so we have decided to use the batch specific unit of measurement.
But after creating class and characteristic system is not showing the same in proportion unit in master data.
I think there may be somthing missing in the customization.
Kindly elaborate customization so that i can check and correct accordingly.
    Thank you,
    Anup.

maintian organisation area - S in the basic data of class( CL02) and also maintain same value (S) against the particular characteristic in the char tab .Now it will appear in the material master .

  • Multiple units of measure (UoM) inventory 8.8

Anybody have any documentation on the multiple units of measure feature in 8.8.  I have done the delta training but I can't see it in the current version I have installed (PL09).
Do I have to update to PL10 to get this feature?  Does it not exist anymore?  Or am I missing something?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Thank you for trying to help but unfortunately you are all not exactly correct on this...
I spoke to SAP and the functionality described in the 8.8 Delta video using strawberries as an example is misleading.
The new feature allows you to change Items Per Purchase Unit / Items Per Sales Unit on the document dynamically even if there are transactions to the item.
2007 and below locked the items per purchase / items per sales unit after a single transaction.
So the setup for this is NOT in the item master data it is a field called Items Per Unit in the marketing documents.  The items per unit becomes the default but you can modify it for each document dynamically.
I made a simple dropdown list UDF and an FMS that allowed me to select different lengths and whatnot.  And the FMS would input the correct conversion rate into the Items Per Unit field.
So for a purchasing (in this case a purchase order) example we store this particular unit in metric tonnes but we occasionally buy it in 25kg bags / 2200kg totes, etc. For the 25kg bags each bag would be 0.025 metric tonnes (mt).  So when the dropdown says 25kg bag, the FMS inputs 0.025 in the items per unit field.  Then when we say 100 bags, it would put them into inventory at 100 (qty) * 0.025 (items per unit) = 2.5 mt.  In this case we inventory the item in metric tonnes and sell it in metric tonnes so it's a simple example only on the purchase side.
The only caveat to this is that the price doesn't dynamically change with the items per unit, but you could either make an FMS for that as well, or simply type it in manually.
This is for 8.8 ONLY not 2007.
There is no real documentation or training on this currently but I have confirmed this with SAP and used it in the system.
    Hope this helps,
    Mike

  • WM MF60 different unit of measure

    Hi all.
I am trying to move material from raw material warehouse (managed in WM) into production warehouse (not managed in WM). In production warehouse production order exists for manufacturing.
For transferring components between both warehouses I am using MF60 trasaction.
There are some materials that are consumed in one unit of measure (ST) but transferred in another one (CRT). Although the requirement is to transfer 1 unit for one production order, one box (containing 60 units) will transferred and this will cover the production of the next 60 production orders.
For this purpose I maintain WM unit of measure including CRT and as base unit of measure ST but the 311 movement is made based on ST unit of measure and so the TR and TO.
Did I miss any customizing? Should I use the issue unit of measure, not enough with WM unit of measure?
Many thanks in advance and best regards.

Note 880211 - Alternative Unit is ignored while transferring PDS

  • Unit Of Measure Conversion in the SNP Planning Book

I have a problem in (a copy of ) the standard SNP Planning Book 9ASNP94.
I often need to view data in different units of measure however, but would like to avoid having to set up multiple Planning Areas.  I know how to change the Unit Of Measure on my User Settings and for specific Selection IDs however, the conversions only ever work for a single Location/Product combination.  As soon as I select 2 Products, the Key Figures all revert back to the Planning Area UoM.
Is there anyway round this or do I have to create new Planning Areas? If so, what are the issues in running multiple Planning Areas - does this cause performance problems?

    Hi
My feeling is when you do conversion on aggregated level(multiple products), if any of the product has UOM missing then you coversion fails on aggregted level.
It looks strange that UOM conversion looks fine when you do conversion on each product.
I suggest you to check whether the UOMs (that you want to convert)are updated correctly on each product on their repective location in the product master under UOM tab.
    regards
    Vijaya.

  • System is not converting unit of measure ment while doing cost estimation.

    Hi All,
System is not converting unit of measure ment while doing cost estimation.
Now i am explaining system setting. based on this kindly help me.
Our Base Unit of Measure Measuremnt in Material Master is M2 (meter square) and We have maintained Unit conversion in Master as  1 PC is <=>2.5 M2.
We are running costing for 1 M2.
Producion we are doing in Peaces (PC) .  and i maintained Std Value for for Machin and Labour for PC only. and we maintained charge quantity in phases also.
While running cost estimation system is not converting std value of machin & labour into M2.instead it is showing full machin and labour time and value.
System showing PC value for M2 Cost estimate.
Can any one let me know where i am missing.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Sahil

    Hi,
as per your explanation: 1 PC (piece) = 2,5 sqm (m2), standard values for "labour / machine" maintained per PC.
I guess within T-code CUNI, the unit PC does not allow any decimal places (means there can be only 1 piece, 2 pieces, 2 pieces but not 1 and a half pieces, 2,63 pieces,...)
Now if you are running plan cost estimate for quantity 1 sqm (m2) SAP picks the "labour / machine" values for 1 PC (and not for 1 / 2,5 = 0,4 pieces) as decimal places for unit pieces are not allowed so its up-rounding.
Run cost estimate for 10 sqm (m2) which should be 4 PC and the result should be fine.
    Best regards, Christian
