United Kingdom v UK why the constant conflicts
With 4000 contacts in my AB syncing with MobileMe it is getting a little annoying to keep getting conflicts sometimes upto 2900 at a time when AB says United Kingdom but Mobile Me says there is a conflict because MobileMe is set to UK?
How can I get rid of this?
Is the billing address for your card UK or US, and where are you residing?

Why the const char* filename can not open file?
the jni pass the string, I then convert it to the
const char* filename = env->GetStringUTFChars(fname,NULL);
then I use the filename to opent the file but fails, what is the problem???

Why the constant signing in to iTunes?
This question has arisen once or twice before (around 2008) but the replies seemed uncertain and I am hoping more positive details are now on hand.
When I go into iTunes, I am invariably presented with the following prompt ...
Sign in to use this computer for automatic downloads.
Enter Account name and Password.
If I click cancel twice running, the prompt goes away and I can play music or download App updates to my heart's content.
So why the irritating prompt, especially as 99% of the music on file is my music gleaned from other sources and had nothing to do with Apple.Thanks for your interest, Limnos. I haven't really looked (but will later on). But as I see things, that's a pretty authoratative statement and not something one would expect a disabling option for.

my name is Al-Ameen, Am from Nigeria,actually my brother from the united kingdom sent me an iphone5, So when i insert my Sim card i discovered the iPhone is locked.
So the reason why am sending this mail is to ask for the procedure of how to unlock an iPhone from another country the amount paid and all the other information about unlocking an iPhone.

Al-Ameen.You need to contact the carrier to see if they offer unlocking and if you qualify. You may need to talk to your brother about this.

United Kingdom Regional Format sets Monday as the first day of the week.
With the Region Settings (Settings -> General -> International -> Region Format) set to United Kingdom, Calendar displays Monday as the first day of the week. I have seen other posts whereby it was suggested to change to US Internationalization but this will also change the date and telephone number formats to US settings, far more frustrating.
Have I been sheltered from properly formatted calendars all my life or is this a mistake and it should start the week on Sunday. It is consistent in both the Week and Month view.
Am I crazy or does anyone else agree with is?Same here. One of the first things I do in this sort of application is switch week start to Mondays.

Maybe... Is this a laser printer or an inkjet? What model? If it is a laser printer then the fuser and other internal parts are likely set to run at 120V and will not be compatible with the 220V in the UK. For inkjet printers you may have regionalization issues that cane be resolved with a call to support. The inkjet pwer supplies are typically universal, allowing input from 100V-240V. You would likely only need an adapter for the plug or a new cord.

hi all when i ask siri weather report says cant tell me as doesnt know my location and telling me to go to location settings ect but the location setting is on,also when i ask for neares take away ect its says as im in usa cant answer that question but on the siri set up am english united kingdom???????
Currently, Siri's location based services are only available in the U.S. Additionally, even if you are in the U.S., if you change Siri's language to another country's, including U.K. English, the location based services will not work.

I have moved counties (Australia to UK). Everytime i try and change the settings so my country of region is United Kingdom, the writting appears in arabic. (i have tried this several times) Is this normal or an error in the settings?
If the address and the Country/Region on your account is the UK (it should be on the first screen that you go to when you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Apple ID) then the payment details screen should be UK based - if I select Visa on the payment details screen then it defaults to my name and address (with UK) on my iTunes account.
Does that first show UK as your country ? -

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
The payment methods that are available in your country will show on your account. If debit cards aren't available on that screen then you won't be able to use it as your payment method.
