Unity 4.2(1) and CME 4.1(0) Error - CME ports reregister every 60 seconds

Hello,
I have an integration between Unity 4.2(1) and CME 4.1(0) which, until Friday last week was working fine.
I got a complaint that users couldn't get theri voicemail and have found that the ports on CME unregister and register every 60 seconds (see below)
Has anyone seen this before and knows a solution.
I've checked that the TSP v8.2(1) is supported for both and I've completely removed the config from CME and redone, but no change.
Any Ideas ?
Thanks
Chris

Hi,
I have already booted the server, had no choice as Unity shut down completely when I made a change in UTIM !
The only events I see are in the App log of EventViewer and they're merely telling me via a TSP error that a port has unregistered.
The Unity server has multiple integrations, ports : 24 to CM4, 6 to CM7 and 2 to CME. (32 ports in total)
Only the CME has any issues and it was working perfectly well for the last 3 months !
Any thoughts?
Chris

    If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
    The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
    The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
    Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
    Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
    Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do.

    I downloaded the same songs on another phone working in IOS 5.1.1 and there is no problem.  Is this a bug? or is it my imagination?

    I've spent most of the last two days trying to restore from back-ups and set up as new and neither worked. iTunes stopped recognizing it AS an iPod at one point so I tried reinstalling iTunes to make sure it was all up to date but it's still doing the same thing. Freezes or disconnects during sync or throws up an error message and 95% of the music that "has" synced is greyed out and not playable. I'm assuming the update has a bug cos these forums are full of problems people are having since the update, I had no issues with anything before this upgrade was installed.

    I clicked on iMessage on my Macbook Pro today for the first time, and now NOTES keeps opening up every 5 seconds, with a new note.  I cannot stop it from opening. If I close it or force close, it opens again in 5 seconds.  I can't get rid of it.  I have tried to clear out the iMessage settings I had put in, and I've tried to adjust the Accounts to not include notes to synch.  But, Notes will not stop.  It opens a new note, and even if you ignore it, it assumes preference every 5 seconds, and the Mac is impossible to use.

    Do you have any Boot Camp or other secondary partitions set up on your system? If so then try running a disk verification routine (chkdsk, etc.) in Windows to repair the disk. While I've not heard of it happening recently, in the past errors in these partitions have resulted in stubborn ghost files appearing in OS X.

  • CCM and CME integration, SIP

    Hello,
    This question probably was asked many times, but I'm still not able to figure out how to setup a SIP trunk between CCM (v.4.1) and CME. I read all articles about IP-to-IP SIP protocol, played around with different setting, but no luck. Can you point me to the right direction? Example configuration will be very helpful. Basically I need to make calls between 4 digits extensions between offices and to route OffNet calls.
    THANK YOU!!!

    Hello,
    Thank you for your help. I was able to create the trunk and I'm able to make calls between CCM and CCME.
    Here is my config:
    SIP trunk on CCME router:
    dial-peer voice 20 voip
    destination-pattern [area code]80823..
    session protocol sipv2
    session target ipv4:10.181.0.200
    session transport tcp
    dtmf-relay rtp-nte
    codec g711ulaw
    no vad
    The Trunk on CCM is simple:
    - Call Classification - OnNet;
    - MTP - checked;
    - Destination Address - IP on CCME;
    - ports - 5060, 5060, TCP, 711ulaw;
    - significant digits - 4;
    Thanks!

  • Single Inbox Issue with Unity Connection 8.5 and Exchange 2003

    Hello Unity Gurus,
    I recently upgraded our Unity server to Unity Conenction 8.5. We are pressing hard to have unified messaging. However theres always problems it seems.
    We have several 2003 exchange servers, two of the exchange servers split up our organization and one has half of the users mailboxes and the other server has the remaining half. So far the only way that I can get Unified messaging is if I create two separate Unified Messaging Services one for one half, the other for the other half.
    This becomes a problem since now when I create the Unified Message account I have to know what server the user is on and the problem being is that I have 700 voicemail users ill have to look up. Not only that but, if our employees move from one site to the next and if the mailbox gets moved then I imagine most likely break unified messaging for that account.
    I've read the install guide for Unity connection Unified Messaging and I understand that the second option is to have Connection to search for Exchange servers via Active Directory however, when I set that up and test it via unified messaging services I get an error " searching network...failed to locate domain controller via DNS. Failed to locate an exchange 2003 server."
    DNS seems to work if I create single Unified Messaging Service and use the host name that way.
    Anyone have any thoughts or found a work around to this issue?
    Thanks,
    Dan

    We have 41 exchange UM services configured in Unity Connection on 10 clusters, each one to the 2003 exchange servers.  This is the only way it will work for us, as e2k3 can not search for and find other exchange services.  For 2010, it is able to search by AD domain and site name, and we only have one connector configured on each server to the e2k10 environment.  I believe this is the way it works, and is difficult to manage but works.  Just my two cents.

  • UC560, ATA187s and CME 9 questions.

    I originally posted this in the Community forum, not the Support Community forum....so I will report here.
    We recently purchased a UC560 along with some ATA187's only to find out that the ATA's are not supported out of the box...
    Everyone says "Its supported in CME 9", so how does one get CME 9 on the UC560? I cannot find docuementation anywhere that shows this.
    Heck is it even possible to get CME 9 running on the UC560? I see that I would need an IOS update as well, but again I cannot find the correct IOS version for the UC560.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Brian

    Hi Brian,
    Sorry to hear about the compatibility problems your facing with the new gear you purchased. I understand your frusturation, there have been many times where the compatibility matrix and I didn't get along.
    First thing I want to mention is a nifty post I found by another user on the forum, jkittle99:
    CME 8.6 - ATA 187 - not working
    Try this - I just did with an ATA187 and CME 8.6, and had things working
    1) Lie to CME and tell it that the device is an 7961
    2) 'create profile' to generate the XML config file
    3)  rename / copy the XML config file (SEPxxxxx.cnf.xml) to  ATAxxxxx.cnf.xml (since the ATA has a different filename structure than  the 7961).
    4)reboot, and enjoy
    Note: I haven't fully vetted all the extra 'what if's with this, but I do have an ATA187 registered and it can make/take calls.
    Josh
    I'm not a CCA user, but alternatively you can set the ATAs up via SIP as Paolo mentioned from the CLI. This looks to be a decent guide, though not specific to the UC560:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_configuration_example09186a00808f33eb.shtml
    Theres a great deal more information in that article than you really need, as it is looks like theyre setting up the whole cme for just the sip phones, but you can go through and pick out the pertinent parts. Just remember to backup before you give this a go.
    I wish I had a ATA187 to test with
    Best,
    David

  • Update kernel and recieved a "Machine check error"

    I was on Vacation this last weekend but was finally able to update today. Upgrade seemd fine, issued reboot command and instead of my normal reboot I was greeted with "machine check error" flashing in my upper left hand corner. Syslinux never came up. I powered off manually and pulled the battery, subsequent reboot went off without a hitch.

    I have never seen this error and my googlefu return issues with overclocking which I am not doing. Any info on the subject I'd love to hear.
    Cheers.
    EDIT: Was only happening when issuing 'systemctl reboot' so I switched back to 3.10.10-1-ARCH and reboot command now works.

    Well, I can tell you that this kind of error is not OS related, but rather a HW thing.  It happens where there is a general detection of something going wrong.  Sometimes it can happen randomly and might not be an indication of a problem.  But sometimes it can be caused by things that are improperly functioning within the system like bad capacitors.
    Unfortunately I don't really know what to do about such things except give you machine a proper inspection.  But if things are working fine, and continue to do so, I wouldn't worry about it.  If it becomes a regular occurance, then I'd worry.

    I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
    THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem
    Help!

    If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.
    This is lightning to 30 pin adapter: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Apple%26%23174%3B---Lightning-to-30-Pin-Adapter/6651 936.p?id=1218803450821&skuId=6651936#tab=overview
    Is this what you bought?
    You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be.

  • Error reading in file data on second entry and save of the data

    Hi,
    I'm trying to write a class that will save two integers and a string to a text file, which can later be searched. Both integers and the string are input by the user in the main class via the keyboard. The file is saved as follows,
    100 1
    901,111,offer releaseThe first line represents the maximum number of videos, and the current number of videos in the list. The second integer on the first line is automatically incremented to represent the correct number of video copies.
    When the test main class is run again to allow the user to enter a second line of data, it returns with the following error,
    Error in SimpleInput.readInt() - digit expected
    ,111,offer releaseWhy is it unable to find the first integer on the second line?
    My constructor for the class is as follows,
    public Video(int refNum, int titlerefNum, String filmOffer) {
            referenceNumber = refNum;
            titleReferenceNumber = titlerefNum;
            String[] words = filmOffer.split(",");

  • Image Capture and Preview "folder not writable" error importing to shared folder

    I'm running 10.8.5 on a Late 2012 model Mac Mini. I'm trying to create a folder under my home directory where my wife can import pictures using Image Capture or Preview while logged into her account. I've tried setting permissions on the folder by setting POSIX permissions and ACLs from the command line, and also by setting ACLs using Get Info in Finder, but it seems as though both Image Capture and Preview ignore the ACLs and instead rely solely on the POSIX permissions for everyone/other (even when a relevant group is set). Unless the POSIX permissions for everyone/other are "rwx" Image Capture and Preview both give an error that the import failed, and /var/log/system.log shows errors that the "folder is not writable". I'd like to be able to set this up without making the folder and the files in it writable by everyone. My understanding was that ACLs should take precedence over POSIX permissions, but even the POSIX permissions don't seem to be getting handled properly, because the group is ignored. Any help or explanation of what's happening would be appreciated.
    Here's an example with details:
    Suppose we have the users alice and bob. We want to set permissions on the directory /Users/bob/importdir such that Alice can import files from a camera there using Image Capture (or Preview, either would do), but don't want to relax the permissions more than necessary.
    We create a group named bob_and_alice
    We set the following permissions on /Users/bob:
    POSIX: rwxr-xr-x, owner=bob, group=staff (i.e. default POSIX permissions)
    ACLs:
    0: group:everyone deny delete
    1: group:bob_and_alice allow list,search,readattr,readextattr,readsecurity
    2: user:alice allow list,search,readattr,readextattr,readsecurity
    "Get Info" shows "Read & Write" for bob and "Read Only" for alice, bob_and_alice, staff, and everyone
    We set the following permissions on /Users/bob/importdir:
    POSIX: rwxrwxr-x owner=bob, group=bob_and_alice
    ACLS: (these are already probably more permissive than should be necessary)
    0: group:bob_and_alice allow list,add_file,search,delete,add_subdirectory,delete_child,readattr,writeattr,re adextattr,writeextattr,readsecurity,writesecurity,file_inherit,directory_inherit
    1: user:alice allow list,add_file,search,delete,add_subdirectory,delete_child,readattr,writeattr,re adextattr,writeextattr,readsecurity,writesecurity,file_inherit,directory_inherit
    "Get Info" shows "Custom" for both alice and bob_and_alice, "Read & Write" for bob, and "Read Only" for everyone
    Alice opens a Terminal and cd's to /Users/bob/importdir. Alice can create and delete files in this directory.
    Now Alice opens Image Capture and with our camera connected we try to import a photo to /Users/bob/importdir. Image Capture shows an error dialog with the text "Import error. An error occurred while importing. The item 'foo.jpg' was not imported." /var/log/system.log shows the message: "Jul 20 22:12:34 computer_name.local Image Capture[32804]: Document destination folder is not writable" If instead Alice uses Preview it shows an error dialog with the text "The selected folder is not writable" and /var/log/system.log shows two error messages:
    Jul 20 22:23:45 computer_name.local Preview[33280]: Document destination folder is not writable
    Jul 20 22:23:45 computer_name.local Preview[33280]: Encountered error during image import: Error Domain=com.apple.ImageCaptureCore Code=-9934 "The selected folder is not writable" UserInfo=0x7ffda4881f00 {NSLocalizedDescription=The selected folder is not writable}
    Now we change the POSIX permissions on /Users/bob/importdir to: rwxrwxrwx
    The import succeeds with both Image Capture and Preview
    Can anyone explain what's going on here? Is there another reasonable way to do this without, moving this shared directory to /Users/shared?

    Did you figure out how to fix this?
