Unity CN external service to EXCH07 server type fail
HI
I was wondering if any one els have the same issue when adding an external service for TTS voicemail.I get this error message when doing a test and have just aout tried everything.
"The server type pased in is different from the server type reported back from a service call. The reported server type is IMAP and the passed-in server type is Exchange 2007. Please configure the service with the right server type"
We have exchange server 2007 and Unity Connection ver 7.1 and would like to read out emails from exchange.
Thanks
Found the solutions!!!!
You need to change the IMAP banner on your exchage 2007 IMAP reciever:
My *problem* Exchange 2007 server was displaying the following banner:
"* OK The Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service is ready."
and it should be
"* OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 IMAP4 service ready"
To see what your banner is telnet to your exchange server port 143 and it will show your banner.

External Service Failure: There was no Content-Type header
We have developed a web service using WLW and deployed it to weblogic 8.1 (install from scratch), we manage to invoke the service successfully. However, when we deploy it to the weblogic 8.1 server installed through PeopleSoft PIA , we keep getting the 'External Service Failure: There was no Content-Type header' error.
Does anyone know what are the differences for the weblogic installed through PeopleSoft PIA or how we can get around the error? Thanks!Hi Jerioon,
Which Master Page and Content Type did you use when you created a new page layout with Designer Manager?
Whether you could provide a screenshot about this issue.
In addition, here is an article about creating a page layout with Designer Manager, please take a look at:
http://www.learningsharepoint.com/2013/03/03/create-a-custom-page-layout-in-sharepoint-2013/
I hope this helps.

Need OLAP Server Type 'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services 9.0'
We have two Crystal Developer machines (CR2008 - SP1 installed on both). We need to connect to an OLAP datasource
One machine has these three Server Types available to select from:
Hyperion Essbase (7.0,7.1)/IBM DB2 OLAP(8.2) Enhanced
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Analysis Services 9.0
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services 8.0
The other machine has the following as the only available Server Type:
Hyperion Essbase (7.0,7.1)/IBM DB2 OLAP(8.2) Enhanced
We need access to the Microsoft Server Types for this machine as well.
The Data Access components installed (from CR2008 - SP1) on both
machines appear to be the same.
How do we get these installed so we can access them from Crystal?
Thank youDo I need the SQL Client tools on my machine? I though I had read this on a website somewhere, but now am unable to locate it. Can someone please confirm if this is the issue why I am not seeing this server type? Thank you.

Please help with error message invoking external service from BPEL
Yes, I'm new to Oracle SOA Suite and BPEL Process manager. I've searched the forums, OTN, and Google and have not found any description of this error message:
"oracle.fabric.common.FabricException: Number of SOAP body elements and parts do not match in operation: <operation-name>"
Using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 and WebLogic/SOA 10.3.2.0.
The BPEL process was built completely using JDeveloper's graphical tools... I haven't done any raw editing of the BPEL files yet. What types of things might I possibly be doing wrong that would cause this error to occur? Any idea what two things the server is comparing and deciding that there's a mismatch? It doesn't look like it is even attempting to invoke the external service, but bailing out before that, thinking that it's going to send bad data. Below is a bit more detail.
Also, I loaded up the WSDL (same one that I gave to JDeveloper) into SOAPUI. Then I took the payload that SOA was about to send (see below) and pasted it into SOAPUI. SOAPUI didn't complain and the target web service accepted the message and produced a "success" response. It looks like the payload is correct, so I don't know why SOA is complaining.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

</messages>Welcome to BPEL. Take a moment, and write "it's a namespace issue" on a sheet of paper. Post it near your monitor. It won't always be a namespace issue, but it's usually a good thing to suspect first! Is the namespace prefix ns1: defined somewhere? Does your XML that is being sent really match what the WSDL has for input to the UpsertEmp operation? The namespaces for each element level in the XML need to match, not just the lowest level.
When problems like this get really sticky, you can use TCP tunneling (obtunnel shell?) to capture what is really being sent to the server, and compare that to what is sent from SOAPUI. That's more useful if it's a subtle header problem, but you may get better error messages if you catch the BPEL message and send it using SOAPUI.
Good Luck, Andy -

Can you please tell me , to how to configure an external webservice in Enterprise Server.
please help me in resolving this issue.
Thanks,
Krishnaveni.Hi,
There is nothing to do with the versioning. There is a problem with the tool (Configuration Wizard).
This is how the problem was solved,
After creating the Directory Service start and login to the Process Admininstrator,
ALBPM web console-> Organizational settings->Export->Views, export the views.xml and check for any invalid characters.
After removing the invalid characters save the xml and import the modified views.xml to the same location.
This should solve the problem.
Thanks,

Troble configuring Hyperion Shared Services with SQL Server 2005
I recently installed SQL server (SQL SERVER 2005) in my machine and then am trying to install Hyperion (9.3.1) products. I started with Shared services. It was installed successfully. Problem is occuring when am trying to configure Shared service with SQL database using Hyperion Configuration utility (9.3.1)
The error which is popping up is
Unable to connect to the database for the product Hyperion Shared Services.
Things which I tried from my end
1. Made sure TCP IP Protocol was enabled in SQL server configuration server.
2. hypuser was created in SQl server.
3. hypdb was created in SQL server.
4. Was having dynamic IP address so install Loopback adapter to obtain Static IP address and port.
5. Port and IP address was correct.
Let me know where I am going wrong.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.Finally got it fixed firewall settings needed to be change : This document helped me a lot to troubleshoot the issue
An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)
This problem may occur when SQL Server 2005 is not configured to accept incoming local and remote connections, which is disabled by default in SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition and also SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition. To solve the connection forbidden problem, SQL Server 2005 needs to configure to allow incoming local and remote connections.
Firstly, ensure that SQL Server 2005 is configured properly to allow incoming connections on the instance of database server, else enable and turn on the local and remote connections setting.
Click Start button, then go to Programs or All Programs, then select Microsoft SQL Server 2005, followed by Configuration Tools. Click and run the SQL Server Surface Area Configuration.
On the “SQL Server 2005 Surface Area Configuration” page, click Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections.
On the “Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections” page, expand Database Engine tree, click Remote Connections.
Select Local and remote connections, or Local connections only which applicable only if there is no remote system tries to connect to the SQL Server, useful when you just trying to connect and authenticate with the server after installing.
Select the appropriate protocol to enable to local and/or remote connections environment. To ensure maximum compatibility, select Using both TCP/IP and named pipes.
Click Apply button when done.
Click OK button when prompted with the message saying that “Changes to Connection Settings will not take effect until you restart the Database Engine service.”
On the “Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections” page, expand Database Engine, then click Service.
Click Stop button to stop the SQL Server service.
Wait until the MSSQLSERVER service stops, and then click Start button to restart the MSSQLSERVER service.
Secondly, SQL Server Browser service has to be enabled to allow for local and remote connections if SQL Server 2005 is running by using an instance name and users are not using a specific TCP/IP port number in the connection string.
On the “Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections” page, click SQL Server Browser.
Select Automatic as the Startup type to start SQL Server Browser service automatically every time system starts.
Click Apply button.
Click on Start button to start the service immediately.
Click OK button.
Finally, if remote computer needs to connect and access SQL Server, an exceptions in Windows Firewall included in Windows XP SP2 (Service Pack 2), Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista needs to be created. If you’re using third-party firewall system, the exception rules also needed to be created to allow external remote connections to the SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server Browser Service to communicate through the firewall, else connections will be blocked. Consult the firewall manual for more details. Each instance of SQL Server 2005 must have its own exception, together with an exclusion for SQL Server Browser service.
SQL Server 2005 uses an instance ID as part of the path when you install its program files. To create an exception for each instance of SQL Server, you must identify the correct instance ID. To obtain an instance ID, follow these steps:
Click Start button, then go to Programs or All Programs, then select Microsoft SQL Server 2005, followed by Configuration Tools. Click and run the SQL Server Configuration Manager.
In “SQL Server Configuration Manager”, click the SQL Server Browser service in the right pane, right-click the instance name in the main window, and then click Properties.
On the “SQL Server Browser Properties” page, click the Advanced tab, locate the instance ID in the property list.
Click OK button.
Then create an exception for SQL Server 2005 in Windows Firewall.
Click on Start button, the click on Run and type firewall.cpl, and then click OK. For Windows Vista, type firewall.cpl in Start Search box and press Enter key, then click on Allow a program through Windows Firewall link on left tasks pane.
In “Windows Firewall”, click the Exceptions tab, and then click Add Program.
In the “Add a Program” window, click Browse button.
Click the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\sqlservr.exe executable program, click Open button. MSSQL.1 with is a placeholder for the instance ID that is obtained from previous procedure. Note that the path may be different depending on where SQL Server 2005 is installed.
Click OK button.
Repeat steps 1 through 5 for each instance of SQL Server 2005 that needs an exception.
For SQL Server Browser service, locate the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlbrowser.exe executable program, and click Open button.
Click OK button. -
Cannot Open R/3 Transactions from EP 5.0 External Services
We are on EP 5.0 SP6, and because we are on SAP J2EE Patch 21, we are using IISProxy.dll as our ISAPI filter (instead of the SAPJ2EE Filter).
EP connects to our CRM system using SSO correctly when we run Enternal Services that point to CRM BSPs. Consequently, we know that SSO connectivity between the two systems is working.
But when we try to connect to ABAP reports using External Services (via SAP Application.Transaction Master iView), we receive a Page Cannot Be Displayed error. The External Services should open the standard SAPGui within the External Service. We know that this should work, as we have correctly openned these reports on our DEV box.
The error in the IISProxy.log file is as follows:

Does anyone have any idea why the External Service will not open the SAP Gui? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Steven ScullyDo you know HTTPS is allowed on your firewall? Do you use any type of load balancer? eg., F5 Big-IP .. If not put a network sniffer to monitor the traffic on your firewall to see why it displays "page cannot be disaplayed" error... Also, you may want to use Paros software to intercept HTTP and HTTPS data between server and client, including cookies and form field. This may help you to get some idea.

Let me know.

External Service Generation - WSDL not accepted
Hi,
I am struggeling to import my WSDL into the CAP SP 8 in the NW DevStudio.
A long time I received a an error "invalid WSDL" - no further comments.
After reading the SAPNote and comparing with working WSDLs I came up with that WSDL:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<definitions xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/" xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/" xmlns:tns="http://com.bis/xi/esabox/demo" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:ns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" name="CreateSAPOrderService" targetNamespace="http://com.bis/xi/esabox/demo">
<types>
<xsd:schema targetNamespace="http://com.bis/xi/esabox/demo">
<xsd:complexType name="row">
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="p_idproduit" type="xsd:string"/>
<xsd:element name="p_nom" type="xsd:string"/>
<xsd:element name="p_type" type="xsd:string"/>
<xsd:element name="p_pu" type="xsd:string"/>
<xsd:element name="p_count" type="xsd:string"/>
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>
</xsd:schema>
</types>
<message name="CreateSAPOrderRequest">
<!--
<part name="p_idproduit" type="xsd:int"/>
<part name="p_nom" type="xsd:string"/>
<part name="p_type" type="xsd:string"/>
<part name="p_pu" type="xsd:float"/>
<part name="p_count" type="xsd:int"/>
-->
<part name="row" type="tns:row"/>
</message>
<message name="CreateSAPOrderResponse">
<part name="SAPOrderResponse" type="xsd:string"/>
</message>
<portType name="SAPOrder_PortType">
<operation name="createSAPOrder">
<input message="tns:CreateSAPOrderRequest"/>
<output message="tns:CreateSAPOrderResponse"/>
</operation>
</portType>
<binding name="SAPOrder_Binding" type="tns:SAPOrder_PortType">
<soap:binding style="document" transport="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/http"/>
<operation name="createSAPOrder">
<soap:operation soapAction="createSAPOrder"/>
<input>
<soap:body use="literal" namespace="http://com.bis/xi/esabox/demo"/>
</input>
<output>
<soap:body use="literal" namespace="http://com.bis/xi/esabox/demo"/>
</output>
</operation>
</binding>
<service name="Create_SAP_Order_Service">

</port>
</service>
</definitions>
No I receive the error "Cannot convert MP Service Definition SAPOrder_PortType into MMR External Service. Reason: Program Error: Unexpected MP data. IStructure struct instance have to be of type IElement."
Well - for me that does not help a lot.
Has anyone an idea what I am doing wrong?
and BTW: I have the impression that CAF but also XI and VC heavily struggle to work with external WSDL. Does anyone know whether SAP is going to improve their products somewhen towards real-life applicability?
Thanks for any comment!!
Cheers.Hi Ankit
I had managed to solve the problem with a workaround
1) I created an Proxy Project to wrap XI WSDL file in it
2) Then created EJB project to call wrapped XI web Service
from ejb method. I then exposed this ejb method as web service
3) Finally created ear for ejb and deployed it on Web Application Server
4) now create External service project for the new wrapper web service it will get imported sucessfully and build and deploy also goes sucessfully
The difference this workaround does is that we do not have to consume XI webService directly which has little different structure and instead we consume wrapper web service which is generated out of an EJB and is available on JAVA stack your web service itself
CAF has no problem importing External services when they are hosted on web server JAVA itself
Hope my explanation convince you to go with this workaround
Thanks

Dummies Guide to OSB - SSL to External Service
Hi Guys,
I am new to OSB and need a "dummies guide" to this task. I have found some other threads but they mostly assume knowledge I do not have. If anyone could recommend a good document or even a book chapter that could walk me through this.
I have been provided with an https endpoint, a wsdl file and the relevant keys and certificates.
I need to setup:
proxy service -> business service -> external service.
What is the sequence of events. Is there any step by step guide to doing this.
Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!Hi,
The error you are having is different to the one I got, so probably the patch will not solve your issue. Before to try the JSEE SLL make sure that your configuration is correct.
In your trust keystore you must have the CA certificate, or even the complete chain from the server. i.e, if you install the certificate in your browser, you can check there the complete chain from the server and download one by one each certificate.
In your identity keystore, you must install the client certificate that you have been provided from the server and the private key. Which type of certificate is that, is a p12 or pfx file extension?. If so have a look to that link that, I found it useful http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/articles/entarch/pfx-pem-certificate-formats-092744.html
I made a document with all the configuratio steps, send me your email and I'll send you.

What is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?
HI ,
I want to kow what is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?
Or Can I abstract the Sharepoint fast search from the Sharepoint platform as a isolate component?
Thank you.
JamesThey are very, very different beasts.
Firstly FAST Search for SharePoint is the old name for the product and is only relevant for SharePoint 2010 not 2013. It got merged into the standard SharePoint search for the 2013 release.
SharePoint search is aimed at providing a Bing or Google like experience for your intranet content, as well as providing some nifty features that are purely SharePoint releated along the way. That means it can crawl SharePoint content, file shares,
outlook mailboxes, internal and external websites and probably fifty other different things if you really tried. Whilst i'm not an expert on SQL full text search I believe it's intended to provide a search feature for content held within SQL databases
and tables.
Can you run SharePoint purely for Search? Yes, definitely. -
regarding mountain lion server: clients experience intermittent service connections. the server system log has the following error- Client handshake failed (6):113: Server not accepting client connections. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thank you
Hi Jason
I was getting the same behavior after Apple support had me delete some plist files to get Airplay going. I was also getting the following error:
the error occurred while processing a command of type 'writesettings' in the plug-in 'server vpn'
I went into ~/Library/Preferences/ and /Library/Preferences/ and deleted every plist contating the word server. I had to re-set up my server (meaning walk through some intial steps) but all of my settings were still there after that and everything started working again.
Just a thought, obviously try at your own risk but it worked for me.
