Unity Connection integration with Outlook problem.

Hello,
We deploy CUC 7.1 and we integrate it with MS exchange 2007 and outlook, and we perform the recommended configuration to make the voice mail message to be appeared in both Unity connection voice mail store and to be sent to exchange then appeared in outlook as inbox message, we perform that by choosing Accept and Rely option in Message actions tab.
The customer want when the message accessed from the outlook the MWI on turned to MWI off!!!!!
How can i perform that?
Thanks

Hi Ahmed,
What you are wanting is not available with CUC 7.x "Accept and Relay"
In Cisco Unity Connection 7.1, you can use the accept and relay action to instruct Connection to both deliver each message of a certain type to the user mailbox and forward a copy of the message to the relay address. (This is sometimes referred to as "accept and forward.") This option may be useful for users who regularly use a device that accesses a separate server for messages, such as a handheld wireless device, and want easy access to voice messages both on the alternative device and through the Connection user interfaces. If you choose this option, the user receives two copies of each message. The copies are stored in different message stores, and any actions the user takes on the relayed copy are not reflected on the copy stored in the Connection message store.

You will want to look into CUC 8.5;
New Features for Cisco Unity Connection Version 8.5
• Unified messaging with Microsoft Exchange 2010:
• Voice messages are synchronized with the Exchange inbox.
• MWI and message status are synchronized.
• Secure, private messages, mobile client, and calendar integration for Exchange 2010 are all supported.
• You can enable unified messaging for specific users or all users.

  • Unity Connection Integration with CS 1000 and Meridian 81 - PIMG

I have a customer who have  (2) Nortel Meridian 81 and (1) CS1000  for their 3 locations along with Octal 350 servicing 2500 voicemail users today. Customer also has a  Cisco UCM in their network today which is servicing their wireless phone users.
UCM and CS1000 are networked together using Q.Sig trunks today. Customer is looking at replacing their Octal solution with a new Voice mail solution.
I was looking at integration documents for Unity Connection using PIMG.
In this  scenario, would I need 3 separate PIMG 's at the three remote sites and integrate it with Unity connection or Can I achieve this using just one PIMG at one of the sites, considering the three sites are trunked together using tie-trunks.

    Appreciate any pointers/ help.

    Hi there,
Just to add a note to the great tips from Hailey (+5 Hailey!)
We are in the final stages of replacing our "old" Octel with Unity Connection, part of
which is integrated to our CS1000 and CUCM in a "Hybrid" deployment like yours
    Centralized Voice Messaging
Cisco Unity Connection supports centralized voice messaging through the phone system, which supports
various inter-phone system networking protocols including proprietary protocols such as Avaya DCS,
Nortel MCDN, or Siemens CorNet, and standards-based protocols such as QSIG or DPNSS. Note that
centralized voice messaging is a function of the phone system and its inter-phone system networking,
not voice mail. Connection will support centralized voice messaging as long as the phone system and its
inter-phone system networking are properly configured.

Centralized voice messaging provides voice messaging services to all users in a networked phone system environment. Connection can be hosted on a message center PINX and provide voice messaging services to all users in an enterprise assuming the message center PINX and all user PINX phone systems are properly networked. For a centralized voice messaging configuration to exist, a suitable inter-phone system networking protocol must exist to deliver a minimum level of feature support, such as:•Message waiting indication (MWI).•Transfer, which ensures that the correct calling/called party ID is delivered to the voice messaging system.•Divert, which ensures that the correct calling/called party ID is delivered to the voice messaging system.Other features may be required depending on how the voice messaging system is to be used. For example, if it is also serving as an automated attendant, path-replacement is needed as this feature prevents calls from hair-pinning.

  • RoboHelp 9/Acrobat X Pro Integration with Outlook 2010

Is anyone aware of any issues with RoboHelp 9 and/or Acrobat X Pro integrating with Outlook 2010? When I create a PDF for review using RoboHelp and then try to send it for shared review, I keep getting an error message when I try to add people to the To and CC lists in the Send for Shared Review dialog. Clicking either button brings up my Address Book from Outlook, and I can select people without any problems, but whenever I click OK, I get a Check Names dialog book that says:
Microsoft Outlook does not recognize"/O=Company Name", Select the address to use:
         (No Suggestions)
At this point, all I can do is go back to the Address Book and try to add people again, but this leads to the same error.

In Outlook, go to File/Options/Add-Ins, and select Manage Com Add-ins, and click Go...
Then make sure the PDFMaker Office COM Addin is checked, select OK, restart, and it should be available.

  • WIFI stopped working after I woke the computer up, now says connected to the network but not the internet, all other coputers and devices connected still with no problems, have pinged IP address from router and got the message "4 packets sent none receive

    Hi,
WIFI stopped working after I woke the computer up, now says connected to the network but not the internet, all other coputers and devices connected still with no problems, have pinged IP address from router and got the message "4 packets sent none received"... Help
I have tried network diagnostics which doesnt help... The only other ting is, when I woke the computer up it said tat another device was using my IP... My wife had plugged her phone into the computer to charge etc but even when i turn wifi off on the phone there is no change... also in settings on the phone the IP address is different...

The answer to your question is - neither!
Your PC should to configured to obtain an IP address automatically, and to obtain DNS server IP addresses automatically, from the Airport Express. This is the way Windows (and Macs for that matter) are configued by default, and that is the way most people have their computers set up. If you manually configured your PC's IP address to be the same as your wife's Mac, it certainly explains why your PC is not able to access the internet.

  • Unity Connection 7 with overlapping extension

    Hello everybody,
I'm deploying a CUCM 7.1.3 + Unity Connecion 7.1.3 to a customer, and I have a doubt when using overlapping extension. As it's a large environment, he has overlapping extension number in his multiple sites. For example, both SiteA and SiteB have the extension range 8XXX. In CUCM I have configured some translations patterns, so that an user from SiteA should dial 118XXX in order to reach SiteB, and an user in SiteB should dial 218XXX in order to reach site A. And each site has its own line partition to extension numbers. And everything works fine...
But these users are all in the same Unity Connection Server. So I would have users from SiteA and SiteB with the same extension in Unity Connection, and I can't do that. What I know can do is to configure some partitions from SiteA and SiteB in CUC, and put each subscriber in one partition, right?
But when a user wants to reach the voice mail to get his messages, how Unity Connection knows from which location is he?
Please, anyone could advise me how can I proceed with this configuration?
    Thank you!!!

    Hello,
I workarounded my problem creating multiple VM Profiles, and assigning a diferent Voice Mail Box Mask for each. And in Unity connection I created a alternate extension for each user.
For example... the extension 6000 from SiteA has the VM Profile VM_SiteA, which has the voicemail box mask 11XXXX. And this user in Connection has the alternate extension 116000. And the extension 6000 from SiteB has the VM Profile VM_SiteB, which has the voicemail box mask 21XXXX, and this user has this number as alternate extension as well (216000)... It works fine like this.
But actually I haven't tested the MWI... If I have a translation pattern in CUCM that translates 11XXXX to XXXX (in partition from SiteA), and another 21XXXX to XXXX (in partition from SiteB), and configure the MWI extension in Connection to be 11XXXX and 21XXXX, will it work? Have anyone already tested this?
    Thank you very much!!!

  • Reinstall Office helps with Outlook problem

we're just finishing migration to Exchange 2013 and found some Outlook 2013 clients (migrated from Exchange 2010) can't communicate with Exchange 2013. even if i recreate the Outlook profile.
what worked is to reinstall Office 2013. i will also be posting in the Office 2013 forum just want to get ideas why a reinstall fixed the problem.

    Hi Reno,
Try the below steps to identify connectivity issue on the Outlook user profile.
To perform the procedure in this topic, confirm that you have started Outlook.
    Procedure
To view established connections in Outlook
Press the CTRL key and right-click the Outlook icon in the notification area.
    Select Connection Status.
In the Exchange Server Connection Status window, you can view information about the current connections Outlook has established to the Exchange server. The following figure shows the Exchange Server Connection Status window.
    Exchange Server Connection Status
    Launch Outlook, hold Ctrl key and right-click the Outlook system tray icon. You will see two new options in the context menu, i.e;
Connection Status and Test E-mail Auto Configuration.
Click Test E-mail AutoConfiguration to verify and check the email server configuration.
    Try Changing Proxy Authentication Settings:
    NTLM\BASIC\Negotiate
Open Outlook->File> In the account settings dialog, press on More Settings… and then select the Connection tab. At the bottom you’ll find the button for Exchange Proxy Settings.
Changing the authentication settings for Outlook Anywhere.
While you could try to change the authentication from Basic to NTML, usually it will result in you not being able to connect to the Exchange server anymore. This is because the Exchange server is most likely configured to use Basic Authentication only. You
can contact your Exchange administrator and ask if it is possible to support NTML Authentication instead.
    Enable Outlook Anywhere in Outlook

  • ICloud with Outlook problems

I have upgraded to an iPhone and now want to use iCloud with Outlook.
I seem to remember having to remove this in the past also I have alternative profiles in Outlook.
Control Panel for iCloud is not creating an additional folder in Outlook.
    Any thoughts?

You need to leave more information like what is the ios5 device. I following instructions accidently set up two iclouds and then I couldn't get the contacts in. My mobileme email isn't going to work anymore because I set up an icloud using my store apple ID. Apparently the term apple ID can refer to any apple product ID that you make up not the one you use in the store. So you need to leave more infor on what is your problem to figure out how to help.

  • MeetingPlace Video Integration with 3515MCU problem

    Hi,
I am trying to setup MeetingPlace Video Integration with a Cisco 3515 MCU and cannot get it to work. The eventlog for MeetingPlace Gateway is giving me errors about the initialization problems. A couple of such errors are:
MPAgent (0x0150) Warning: Conference technology provider initialization failed (0x80040201). err=1
MPVidSvc MPVideo 11:05:52-> CMcuController::processCmdRegAuthorize() Register as administrator failed. UNregistering....
MPVidSvc MPVideo 11:06:02-> CMcuController::uninitialize() Uninitializing CMcuController.......
Both MeetingPlace and MCU conferencing are working as they should, but I can't get the Video Integration working. From what I can tell by these messages, MeetingPlace cannot talk to the MCU to administer conferences. I have setup and configured a user on the MCU for MeetingPlace to use.
Has anyone got MeetingPlace working with a 3515 MCU?
    Thanks,
    Richard.

    Richard,
I'm having the same problem but with MCU 3540. This problem begin occur after I change the service number 70. My scenario is 2 sites. Each site have 1 cluster?s CCM, 1 MCU?s 3540 and the main site I have 1 MP system with 1 MP IP gateway and web conference in the same server. What the version of MP and MCU you are using ? I'm using MP V 5.3.333.0 and MCU V 4.2.10.

  • Receive mail with outlook problems

    goodmorning from greece
i hava a problem with outllook 2007. Finaly i manage to connect outlook with exchange server 2013. When i try to send a mail to me (for test - inside the organization not over internet) from outlook it seems that the email was send because it moves at SEND.
But then i cannot receive the email.
I configure the account as exchange not as POP3 or IMAP.
    Any one can help?

    Hi KostasVit,
Is there the same issue when you send a mail via OWA?
If you can receive test mail via OWA, it may be a client issue, I recommend you try to change another PC and check again.
If you cannot receive test mail yet, I recommend you use message tracking log to analyze if there is any mail flow issue.
More details about message tracking for your reference:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124375(v=exchg.150).aspx
In Microsoft Exchange Server 2013, the message tracking log is a detailed record of all message activity as messages are transferred to and from the Transport service on Mailbox servers, mailboxes on Mailbox servers, and Edge Transport servers. You can use
message tracking logs for message forensics, mail flow analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting

  • Synchronize with Outlook Problems...

I have a BB Curve, and MS Outlook with Windows XP on my desktop.  I no longer can synchronize my calendars between my BB and Outlook on my desktop...this used to work - but now when I try to synchronize, I get a message saying "unable to complete request".  All I am synchronizing is the calender (no contacts or anything else).  What can I try to do to fix this?
    Thanks.

First, Have you moved any information in Outlook from memos, contacts, tasks, calenders, or e-mails into another folder, or a personal folder?
    Solution Number 1
    1) Go to Backup and Restore in Desktop Manager.
    2) Backup your blackberry.  Save the file on your desktop (it will include the date in the file name)
    3) Wipe your blackberry, go to "options", then "security options", then "general settings" press the menu button, and then select "wipe handheld", click "continue" and enter "blackberry", let it wipe and restart.
    4) Before you restore the data, synchronize again with Desktop Manager.
    5)  If the synchronization works, then it may have been a virus that is now wiped out.
    6)  Restore data, open up desktop manager, go to Back Up and Restore and restore the file from the desktop.
    Solution Number 2
If this does not work I would suggest it is a problem with Desktop Manager.  In that case I would open up Desktop Manager and click on "Synchronize"  Click on "Configuration" and then "Configure Synchronization", then checkmark "address book," a window will pop open, select "Microsoft Outlook", now look at the folder name, Make sure that is the correct folder name and location.  Do that for Calender, Memopad, and tasks.  Then click "OK".  Go to "Synchronize", then click "Synchronize now"

We are looking for the integration of the outlook with SAP workplace.
Major requirements are user should be able to approve/Rejects the leave, travel request etc...
Also the training calendar of SAP should be synchronized with SAP calendar.
i know this can be possible through DUET server but is there any other way of duing this?
    Regards,

    Hello Umesh,
For Calendar Syncronisation please use "sapcalex.ecf".
    In Outlook:
    Tools >> Options >> Other >> Advanced Options >> Add-In Manager >>
Install >> find the file sapcalex.ecf.
Then go to Tools >> Options >> SAP Calendar
    Make the setup.
You can find additional information on SAP note #337442 - Collective note for MS Outlook Calendar Synchronization.

  • SAP 7.20 CRM Integration with Outlook 2007

Hopefully you guys can help me seeing how i'm pretty illiterate on the workings of SAP. I work on a User Support team and we are undergoing tests for certain parts of our organization with deploying Windows 7. I bring this up because we currently use the MAPI driver that is offered with RightFax to integrate SAP and Outlook to send billing and transaction forms that is not available to use with Windows 7.
Does anyone know the work around for this?
(sorry if i sound uneducated in the workings of SAP, we have very little support for it past deploying the program. But i am looking to learn more)

    Hi Sunil,
Could you please check with the below link from SAP Help Portal, which explains about the Integrated Communication Interface, its customizing, etc., which I feel will be a useful tip for you in your process ?

  • Sync with Outlook problems

I have a couple questions about synchronizing Outlook with the Nokia N80 using Nokia PC Suite 6.81. First, I have different subfolders under the Contacts list in Outlook. I want to sync all my contacts to my phone; however every time I sync, I can only sync one contact folder (or subfolder) at a time. When I want to sync the outlook with the phone, I want ALL my subfolders to sync over at the same time. Not just the main contacts folder, or the individual subfolders. If I have 3 subfolders, then the only way to get all contacts in the folder is to sync 3 times and change the source folder each time. Do you know any possible function or way of syncing the contacts on Outlook and my phone all at once? Furthermore, do you know if I can keep the same groups once the data has reached the phone, e.g.: the Friends subfolder in Contacts goes to the Friends group on the phone.
When I sync the Contacts, there’s another catch: I want to fill out the contact form as thoroughly as possible (e.g. the entire phone numbers, faxes, email and postal addresses, as much info as possible) however, when I sync it to the phone, I only want the phone numbers and the email addresses to sync. Is there some type of filter or default setting that I can change in either Outlook or PC Suite so that only certain fields can be synchronized, NOT all the contact info.
I know it's a lot, but thank you all for your time. It really means a lot.

Good questions, unfortunately you have met the limitations in PC Sync. It can only synchronise one database (the contacts folder in Outlook) with another databse (phonebook in phone) at a time.
I am sure you are using one way sync so that updates happen only from Outlook to phone.
The categories and groups in Outlook and phone is worse, I think. It would be nice to synchronise them, but the logic is so different in phone and Outlook that it may be very difficult to offer.
In outlook you should select a predefined category to a contact, but in phone you create a group and the name of that group can be anything, and you add contacts there. So it would be difficult to synchronise.

  • Adobe Send within Acrobat XI Std - Integration with Outlook 2013

I recently upgraded a user from Office 2007 to Office 2013.  The install for Office 2013 was a fresh install (not a true upgrade).  Prior to the upgrade, the user was able to use the Adobe Send feature within Acrobat XI Standard (11.0.10) to send documents to multiple recipients without the need to type everyone's email address in.  After the upgrade, the feature to use Adobe Send within Acrobat XI seems to have vanished, forcing the user the log in via the browser, but this requires typing out the email address for each recipient.  As one can guess, it's a very tedious process, especially given how it worked like a charm for her prior to the upgrade.
Is there a feature or add-on that needs to be applied for Outlook 2013 and Acrobat XI to be integrated?

I don't know why Send is not working from Acrobat, but since you're using Outlook 2013, you might try our Outlook plugin -- https://www.acrobat.com/en_us/landing/adobesend-outlook-plugin.html
