In only need auto-atendant feature and i need 8 ports, so i buy 3 x FL-CUE-POR-2
and i was countig with FL-CUE-NR-PORT-2.
FL-CUE-PORT-2
After i instaled first FL-CUE-POR-2 , then for the other two i receveid % Error: New count is less than existing count.% I have already reloaded module
show license all - >(shows 6 VMIVR-PORT could be that 4 of this license are FL-CUE-NR-PORT-2 as this is 2911 platform?)

Hi,
Keep the following outputs from the CUE module handy and contact TAC once you have the details regarding the license.
“sh license”, “sh license udi”, Cisco SO#”

  • Cisco Unity Express requirement (license,package files,application)

    Hi everyone,

    1.     SL-29-UC-K9           : Unified Communication License

  • Unity express 7.1.4 License Issue

Hi I'm using this new version over an AIM CUE, that comes allready installed in the module
The problem that i recongnize,is that the VM-mailboxes are in Evaluation state, i activate the vm-mailbaxes via this command through aim-cue cli:
    license activate voicemail mailboxes 25.
    So the VM are going to work for a period of time (Evaluation), so i check for cisco documentation, and it comes that it should be installed if you buy the license for the VM mailboxes, really don´t know if they bought that license, should i have a pack number for it? so i can register and apply the lic file.}

    Hi Thirruselvaa,
When you loaded the licenses what did the area highlighted below show?
Using CLI Commands to Install Licenses
After you obtain a license file from Cisco's licensing portal and copy it to a FTP or TFTP server, use the following CLI commands to install the license. Only the use of FTP is shown below. SUMMARY STEPS
    1. license install ftp://username:password@ip_address/path/license_file
    2. reload
    3. enable
    4. show license all
    5. show license in-use
    6. show license status application DETAILED STEPS
    Step 1 license install ftp://username:password@ip_address/path/license_file.
Use this command to install all of your licenses. As shown in the following example (which is truncated for easier readability), the command initiates several actions that result in either the printing of an end user license agreement with prompts to accept the agreement (for extension licenses only) or messages indicating that the license is installed. When a license is successfully installed, a message will confirm the installation and state whether or not the licensed feature is present in the current image.

    4/4 licenses were successfully installed
    0/4 licenses were existing licenses
0/4 licenses were failed to install
The installation process does not install duplicate licenses. The following message is displayed when duplicate licenses are detected:
    Installing...Feature:xxx-xxx-xxx...Skipped:Duplicate
Note Install all of your licenses before continuing to the next step.
    Step 2 reload
Use this command to reboot the module:
    service-module# reload
    Step 3 enable
Use this command to enter Privileged Exec Mode:
    service-module# enable
    Enter Your Password If Prompted.

  • Unity Express 7.0 demo license

Does anyone know how to get a demo license, or activate the embeded license for Unity Express 7.0.  I see lots of articles about 7.1.  All them have you use the commands starting with "license".  If I do a ? at the executive prompt, or config terminal of the service module, "license" is not an option.  I dont see a way to add a license at all.
    Specifically I'm running 7.0.6.

    I found it.
    software install clean url
You can download the license in the same spot on Cisco's site that you download the software.

  • Unity Express 8.6 custom script not working properly

    Hello!
I'm having an issue with a custom auto-attendant script for Unity Express 8.6.6.
A brief overview of the expected call flow:
Call comes to 2600, which is set to forward to 2699 if busy or no answer.
Call to 2699 is sent to CUE, which is set to answer with the auto-attendant script.
Script does a time-and-day check to determine if the site is within business hours.
If within business hours, a prompt stating line is currently busy, please leave a message is played, and call is forwarded to 2601.
If outside business hours, a prompt stating office is closed is played, and call is forwarded to 2601.
Calls to 2601 are all forwarded to voicemail.
My first version had a Business Hours object, with a schedule parameter set so that the schedule could be chosen in the CUE GUI. This script did not appear to work properly, as the AfterHours option was always selected by the script. My current version removed this object and replaced it with manual Time-and-Day objects, but the same behavior as above occurs – the AfterHours option is always selected.
Both scripts validated in the editor, and the CUE has been rebooted since the script was first uploaded. TAC validated that nothing in the "show run" is causing CUE to ignore the time-and-day checks. I've attached a ZIP file that contains the scripts, "show software version" and "show license status application" output.
    Am I missing anything?

I read through the document, and it says that the atrace.log file that is generated is not cleartext. Is there any application I can use to read the traces I generate?
EDIT: Apologies, it appears this documentation needs to be rewritten. I was looking at the process to enable traces on an AIM module, when our Unity Express module is on an Internal Services Module 300. I issued "show trace buffer trail" and placed a test call, and this is what I see:

It appears as though the script engine is seeing the Day of Week object, acknowledging it without somehow doing anything with it, and then choosing a "goto AfterHours" step within that object and playing that prompt, which is consistent with the behavior we're seeing.
    Any thoughts?

  • Cisco Unity Express 8.x - sending voicemail to email address (CME+CUE)

    Hi Team,
I know might this is very common question for you all.
Can Cisco Unity Express send voicemail to an email address? If yes, any additional software license required for the same?
Could you plesae provide me the steps how to implement.
    Thanks,
    Nirmal

    Nirmal,
There is no extra license needed to support the email notification feature. There are two method available in CUE, IMAP or standard email notification.
With IMAP, the if the user deletes the email in their inbox, it will get deleted in their voicemail box. With standard email notification, no action taken by the user in with email will translate to their voicemail.

  • Cisco Unity Express and Default L-FL-CUE-PORT-2= Amounts

    OK, curiosity question:
The various SM-SRE modules, when installed with Cisco Unity Express, are supposed to have a default number of ports available.  For example, the ISM-SRE-300-K9 module is supposed to have two ports on it by default when installed with Cisco Unity Express.
When we order these modules from Cisco, they come pre-installed with CUE and the correct number of ports (default + purchased ports).  However, when we order from distribution, i.e. Tech Data, Ingram et. al., the modules come in blank whereupon we have to install CUE (no concerns here, it's easy-peasy), and then go through the hassle of contacting licensing to activate the two default ports.  Every time I call in to do this I have a different experience.
Does anyone know of a better, quicker, simpler way to activate these default ports?   No offense to licensing, but I could save a lot of time and brain cells if there was a way for me to activate them on my own.
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
    Kevin

When you order from Disti, do they give you a PAK code?  If yes, you should be able to activate it online:

  • ISM-SRE-300-K9= bare bones loading Cisco Unity Express

    Hello,
I am wondering if anyone knows whether or not I can load Cisco Unity Express on to a Bare Bones ISM-SRE-300-K9=. Does one need to buy it pre-configured from Factory, or does the Non Rehostable 2-Port License automatically install with the download from cisco.com
These are the conditions of the scenario:
    1) ISM-SRE-300-K9= is bare bones from distribution
    2) The unit has a Service Contract (SAU) purchased and attached
    3) I will be installing the 5-Pack Mailbox License
    4) I will be installing CUE 8.6 on to the unit from cisco.com download
    Thanks,

    Hi Swati,
Even if there are other posts, you may check this link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/interfaces/software/feature/guide/ism-sm-sre.html
Also CUE is not supprted on the Embedded Service Module, so you have to install de CUE module on ISM 0/0 or 0/1

  • Cisco Unity Express (NME-CUE) Compatibility for CUCM 9.1.2

I unable to find latest Compatibility matrix for Cisco Unity Express (NME-CUE) module for integrating with CUCM 9.1.2
The URL:  http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/compatibility/cuecomp.html is updated with CUCM 9.0 only.
Request to share Compatibility matrix or suggest Hardware and software for my below requirement.
I am running NME-CUE 7.0.6 on 2951 ISR2 with IOS version 15.2(4)M5 and integrated with CUCM 7.1.5 using SCCP.
I am upgrading my CUCM to 9.1.2 and need suggestion on upgrading the CUE.
Also need details on Licensing for approx 100 Mailbox and  25 Voice Ports (No need of IVR Ports).
    Thanks,
    Chandan

    Hi Chandan,
    CUE 8.6.6 and later are compatible with CUCM 9.1.x;
Support for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.1
Cisco Unity Express 8.6.6 provides support for Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.1.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/rel8_6/rel_notes/rel_notes86.html#pgfId-411381
    Because you are moving from a pre-7.1 CUE version you will need to follow the CSL License migration process;
NoteWhen you upgrade to Cisco Unity Express Release 8.6.x from any release prior to Cisco Unity Express Release 7.1, you must replace your pre-CSL licenses with CSL licenses. You must migrate your licenses for the mailbox features and port features. If you have purchased the optional IVR features, you should also migrate your licenses for the IVR features.
Software Activation for Cisco Unity Express 7.1 and Later Versions

  • Unity Express 7.4.1 and CUCM 8.5.1

    Hi,
I looked in Compatibility Matrix for Unity Express and found that Unity Express 7.4.1 and Callmanager 8.5.1 wll work together.
Now I upgraded Unity Express to version 7.4.1. I read the CTI-ports via Unity Web GUI from CUCM and it found right the ports.
But in CUCM the ports doesnt register with unity express.
What could I do to register the ports? The jtapi user already associated with the ports and I also reset the password t both systems.
Is there a trace I could switch on for port registration?

meanwhile i found why not register, at the CTI are securty profile configured. after remove it, the ports register but still doesnt work:
A debug at the CLI of CUE show following if someone call the Routepoint with DN 9002:

  • Unity Express 7.0.5 Adding Language

    Hi,
I was following Cisco doc to add Canadian French into Unity Express 7.0.5. It went through with no errors and restarted. However, I still could not see the new added language installed. When I show software version detail, it still says global support and US English installed. Did I miss anything?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Cisco Unity Express 8.6.6 Voice Mail not deleting when e-mail with attachment deleted

I have a Cisco Unity Communications Manager rel 9.1.2 that supports a remote location with a Unity Express rel 8.6.6 voice mail service module in the voice gateway to insure if WAN goes down the location still has voice mail. We have Voice Mail to E-Mail working. The problem is that when the e-mail with the voice mail is deleted the message stays in the Unity Express Voice Mail Box. All of our local users on the same Call Manager Cluster using a local Unity Connection Cluster rel 9.1.2 have the voicemails deleted when the e-mail is deleted.
How can I resolve this issue?

Found another post that referenced Cisco Bug ID CSCti37610.
CUC plays message is from Unity Connection Messaging system
Symptom:Before message playback, Unity Connection plays the message is from Unity Connection Messaging System instead sender's ANI
Conditions:Problem was observed on Unity Connection cluster and appropriate services are not rebooted after changing the SMTP domain name
    Workaround:
    Restart the Unity Connection servers
It should have been fixed in 8.5 but we did change the SMTP domain name on 8.6 and now see the problem. Will schedule a reboot and see if the issue goes away.

  • Unity Express - Incoming calls wont get voice mail

CUE works fine with telephones on my local network. Incoming and outgoing calls work fine.
However when I get an incoming call via SIP trunk the call will not get forwarded to unity express after 10 seconds. The line goes dead.
I searched for another post which suggested the following commands:
    telephony-service
    call-forward pattern .T
    voice service voip
allow connections from h323 to sip
I've double checked them and there's still something wrong.
    Here's my current configuration:

    allow-connections h323 to h323

I made a new dial-peer to handle incoming calls as follows.
    dial-peer voice 1000 voip
    description Incoming SIP
    translation-profile incoming SIPin
    voice-class codec 1
    session protocol sipv2
    incoming called-number .T
    dtmf-relay rtp-nte
    no vad
The translation-profile puts the call through to my 2000 extension.
This is my "show call active voice brief" when an external incoming call is ringing through to my 2000 ephone-dn.
To me this seems to show the dial-peer "1000" matching and using the g711ulaw codec
