Universal adaptor for OBIEE with JDEdwards as OLTP source

Hi All,
we are in the process of implementing OBIEE for procurement and spend analytics with JDE as OLTP source. As you knew this subject area doesnot come with adaptor for JD Edwards in the recent version.
Does anyone having idea about creating a universal adaptor for this or any sample for this or any clue how to proceed for this?
Thanks

Hi,
Do you have Oracle BI Applications? If you look carefully in the DAC there are twee execution plans called "Procurement and Spend: Universal" and "Procurement and Spend Only: Universal", it seems to me that they could be helpfull for you. I'm also trying to figure out how to use the universal adaptors for HRMS.

Edwin

  • Travel adaptor for Macbook with magsafe connector?

    Has anyone found anyone that sells a aircraft travel adaptor for the Macbook?
    Kensington do one for the old iBook but a magsafe connector version has not appeared.
    Hopefully this is not becasue Apple have patented the design of the magsafe connector and are not letting anyone else produce them.
    If this is indeed the case, and Apple don't produce their own travel adapter, I will be quite cross as the whole point of having a laptop is so you can take it with you when you are travelling.
    If the voltages for the iBook are the same as the Macbook how about producing an iBook to Magsafe adapter so we can use the 3rd party travel adapters?

    I just checked and the prongs on my MB adapter are exactly the same as the ones on my iPod power adapter. They should work just fine.
    From a manufacturing standpoint, it makes no sense to have two different products for the same exact job.

  • Lightning adaptor for use with bowers and wilkins mini zepplin

    do's it work ??? iv tried one and the zepplin didnt pick it up . sound still came out of the iphone5 . or am i missing something ?

    That happened to me too. Check your Y-cable. Make sure the 3.5mm cable is fully connected to the auxilliary jack on your 2012 MINI Cooper. You may also want to slightly twist the cable connections in the middle box part of the Y-cable if the first solution does not work for you. Good luck!

    I recently purchased a universal dock for my iphone 3g. It works great. I just had one question. When my iphone is sitting on it for lets say 20 - 30 minutes. Then if i press the buttons on the remote. nothing happens! If I then press the home button while it is on the cradle then, the remote, it plays music. There after lets say if I stop stop the music through the remote and again press the remote button after a few minutes it starts playing. So what happens after a long time. Why do i have to press the home button on the iphone for the remote to work. Is that how it is supposed to work???
    Thanks

  • I just upgraded my iPhone 3GS to 4.3.5 and my universal doc stopped working with it?  It has worked flawlessly for the last year and suddenly I get the message: "this iphone is not optimized for this device."  The music comes out too quiet to the speakers

    I just upgraded my iPhone 3GS to 4.3.5 and my universal doc stopped working with it?  It has worked flawlessly for the last year and suddenly I get the message: "this iphone is not optimized for this device."  I dismiss the message, but the remote no longer works with it and the music is too quite to the speakers.  The remote works fine with my Macbook Pro.  I tried a restore on the iPhone and started from scrach, but the same problem exists.
    Any help with this?

    b Various Methods to Connect to a Car Stereo System, or Listen to Your iPod in the Vehicle
    b Best:
    Direct connection via the dock connector or headphone jack of your iPod, to the mini-jack input (or AUX RCA input jacks) of your car stereo. Not many low/moderate-end cars have this feature yet, but it is becoming more popular. Some aftermarket auto stereo units may have this feature.
    There are also some after-market, moderate to fairly expensive direct interfaces, that hook into your existing car stereo to provide a high-quality, direct connection. Most will also power/charge the iPod. Pretty slick, but can be pricey ($80-$300). If money is no object, a clean way to go. Not very portable from car to car – if at all.

    http://www.theistore.com/ipod2car.html
    http://www.mp3yourcar.com/
    b Better:
    Connect your iPod to a cassette adaptor and play your tunes through your car's cassette player. Some new cars no longer come with a cassette player, so it may not be an option. It will provide even better audio quality if you can run the audio feed out of the dock connector (see the SendStation link below). Can be portable between cars that have a cassette player and also be used in your home cassette system.
    b Good:
    Attach an FM transmitter to your iPod and play the tunes through an unused FM station. Convenient, but wireless FM transmitter signals are susceptible to static and outside interference, and can vary in strength and quality depending on your location. Some noticeable degradation and distortion, depending on the quality of the transmitter, the sensitivity of your ears and the airwave congestion in your area. Highly portable between cars, and may be used in a home system. FM transmitters that need to be plugged into a DC auto jack may not work in a home environment (without some sort of adaptor).
    b Marginal:
    Attach an external speaker system to the iPod and play it in the car. Workable, but not too good - unless you spring for a $300+ Bose (or similar) system. But why? Only if your vehicle has no Stereo system, perhaps.
    b Brave Techno-Geek:
    This site gives some direction on adapting your own car stereo by yourself: http://www.whatsmyip.org/ipodrx8/ . Risky, but it has been successful: Seanski, "silent track" #2, 11:59pm Jul 15, 2005 CDT
    Whichever you choose, power the iPod through your car’s DC power -- either from a power adapter, or as part of the combined audio adaptor. Have a method to secure the iPod to the dash/console/etc. See the reviews for all the various accessories at the iLounge
    You will also get better audio output if the dock connection plug is used, rather than the headphone jack. See this URL for a novel adaptor: https://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pd_lousb.html. Others types are also available via this site.
    I have read positive and negative reviews of each method, and within method there are great variations in performance of different manufacture's systems – and peoples’ opinions of their performance. Some cassette adaptors/FM transmitters work poorly, some better.
    FWIW: I have the iTrip Mini & the Newer Technology RoadTrip!+ FM transmitters, a Belkin cassette adaptor (used both with & w/out the PocketDock) and two vehicles with the BlitzSafe direct interface. Using the same song in the same car, I found that the FM transmitters worked, but not as good as the cassette adapter via the headphone jack. Using the PocketDock on the cassette adapter resulted in a significant audio quality improvement. As expected, the Blitzsafe direct connect was exceptionally better than everything else: less tinny, a more warmer/richer sound, and close to true CD quality.

  • Please share your experience with the universal dock for iphone 3g

    Hi There,
    1. Can people share their experience of the universal dock with the iphone 3g adapter. My concern is that does the tight fit scratch the black lower back of the iphone plastic everytime we remove it or put it in? OR is there enough gap for the iphone to slip in and out without scratching.
    2. Anyone having issues with the universal dock or does it work fine for most?
    thanks in advance,
    cheers,

  • Does the IPAD mini come with, or have an optional, adaptor for charging from the cigarette lighter in the car?

    Does the IPAD mini come with, or have an optional, cigarette lighter adaptor for charging?

    Thanks much for the links, Johnathan.  I am going to be spending this summer kayaking in SE Alaska working with a conservation group out of Sitka, measuring data from remote wilderness areas.  I found a human powered 12v charger made by Freeplay Energy that utilizes a common cigarette lighter plug in.  With one of the adaptors you have identified for me I should be able to crank power into a mini in the middle of nowhere.
    I had hoped I could download the free Sirius XM app and receive satellite radio in addition to other mini uses, but Sirius informs me they don't cover SE Alaska, but could still receive broadcasts whenever I'm in one of the Sitka harbors that provide wifi, i.e. internet radio.
    If any other helpful takes on my situation occur to you be assured I'm all ears.
    Thanks again.

  • Having problems with my VGA adaptor for iPad.

    I bought the VGA adaptor for iPad from BB the other day, and when it arrived, I could not get it to work with my iPad (iPad 1 with latest OS). I tried adjusting settings on my monitor (I'm using it with my second computer monitor, a 24" AOC brand), but I could not get anything to display. I tried plugging it into my new iPhone 4S, and it worked flawlessly with every application. I then tried using it with my new iPod Touch, with latest OS installed, and it would not do anything either. So I have this adaptor for iPad, and it works with my iPhone 4S, but not my iPad or iPod Touch. Does anyone out there have any answers or suggestions?
    Thank you for your time...

    JCinINDY-
    The iPad 1 only sends video to the adapter when a slideshow or a video is playing.  You can not see the normal iPad 1 display on a VGA screen.  It does not support "mirroring" the way an iPhone 4S will.
    That said, it is possible you have a bad connector on the iPad 1.  If you can take it to an Apple Store Genius, they should be able to verify whether or not it is working correctly.

  • Dock adaptor for Gen 2 nano

    Watch out for this!! I have 2nd Gen ipod nano & a BLACK Bose sound system. The ipod can only be docked using the white Dock adaptor it arrives with. Bose have no plans to produce a 2nd gen nano dock adaptor & nor do apple!!
    Therefore I have a black system white a white Dock adaptor
    Sounds great; looks yuk

    The Apple dock adaptor only comes in white as it's meant for use with Apple's own universal dock and not a 3rd party item like the Bose Sound Dock.
    This is up to Bose to address (as discussed here previously many times).

  • Sony card reader / Sony X-tra power memory / extra adaptor for card reader

    I've been researching for hours and have several questions, but the one I want to know about the most is: *what exactly does a card reader do?* I ask because I always thought that a card reader was meant to help transfer the raw files from the camcorder to inside the computer.
    That's why I am confused by what this person wrote in a Review at Amazon of a product he bought:
    *“I think a memory stick is a memory stick. But the USB Reader makes this worth the price. I can take my pics anywhere without having to take my camera and cords. Just plug the reader into any USB port and view pictures instantly.*
    Lorna says:
    I am inferring that he is saying that he wants to immediately see the video that he took as opposed to getting all the clips onto his computer not necessarily to look at right now. So: What is the purpose of a Card Reader?
    And I have also been studying up on Memory Sticks (Proprietary with Sony). After reading a bunch of definitions, I conclude that the more letters you have after ”Memory Stick“, the better/faster the card is.
    # Memory Stick™ General/Specifications
    * Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo™ "HX"
    * Memory Stick PRO-HG™
    * Memory Stick PRO™
    * Memory Stick Micro™ (M2™)
    * Memory Stick™ (with MagicGate™)
    * Memory Stick Duo™
    Therefore, since the user manual for the TG5V that I downloaded from the Sony site mentions MEMORY STICK PRO DUO and MEMORY STICK PRO HG DUO, _I am going to buy the second one because it has an extra blazing fast turns-everything-to-gold capacity._ I will also pay dearly for it.
    Please tell me whether or not I will need to get an adaptor for the reader if I am getting a Memory Stick with four extra pins in it.
    I am sorry to be coming here so often, but reading these reviews and instructional pages often makes it necessary to ask yet more questions. They answer one question and raise enough dust to require two more clarifying questions.

    AppleMan, actually I know what a memory stick is, although I did not know the depth to which you explained it (about the magnetic platters and sensors). I know that a memory card/stick is removable memory and that a card reader is something into which you stick the Sony memory card.
    When I spoke of the upload being faster on a card reader, I meant/thought *that simply by virtue of going through a card reader, the upload would be faster* — faster than merely plugging a USB cable between the camcorder and the computer. In my mind. I was not assuming that there are different grades/speeds of card readers. I noticed that they are all fairly inexpensive, which means, no classifications of speed.
    What I was and am concerned about is the actual Sony memory card/stick that can carry 4, 6, 8, 16, 32, gigabytes of memory. From what I read last night at some sites (and posted here) was that Sony has a bunch of crazy making names to confuse the buyer. +Memory stick, Memory stick duo, Memory Stick Duo Pro, Memory Stick Duo Pro HG, Memory Stick HS Duo Pro HG etc.+
    I was early on confused with this array of choices, but I later realized last night that each little acronym signifies an extra capability.
    I will look for a card reader and am going to assume that all card readers are universal for all card sizes and camcorders. Am I right or wrong in that?

  • Best quality external mic adaptor for iPod

    I am looking at two external mic adaptors for a fourth generation iPod. One is iTalk and iTalk Pro from Griffin. The other is the Universal Mic Adapter for iPod by Belkin. If anyone with a fourth generation iPod has any experience with either of these adapters they would like to share with me, I would love to hear from you. If anyone with my model iPod has a good experience with another mic adapter I would also love to hear about that.
    I tried a M-Audio and was not happy. I tried a Sony digital recorder and was not happy. So this is my next attempt to get a simple small recording device for quick song sketches and the like. I use my video for anything serious.
    Thanks.

    I think you mean the 4G iPod's internal mic is poor.
    Most mics and headphone/mic combos that plug into the headphone jack work just fine.  Apple seles one.
