Universal Pwr Adapter for Zen Tou

The Zen Touch 20GB MP3 player says it comes with uni'versal power adapter. There is no description that I can find online or on the packaging.
Does this power adapter allow the unit to run off of automobile 2V from cigarette lighter?
I actually bought the unit but I dont want to break open the packaging so I can return it in case it wont run off the car power.
But a hard look and a creative site search doesnt reveal much.

A uni'versal adapter is the typical wall socket based adapter, from 00-240V.

I'm currently living in Australia and i'm going to asia for a holiday during Christmas. I have just bought a zen v plus 4 gb, but found out that there is no power adapter bundled. So i've decided to buy a uni'versal power adapter to recharge my zen without using my computer. However, in feature page for the uni'versal power adapter, the zen v plus is not listed as a supported player. So i'm wondering if the uni'versal power adapter can support a zen v plus.

k i li've in canada and i bought this thing. Aparently it is supposed to come with 5 different plug ins. I never got these. Dunno why but i never did.... Where can i buy them seperatly? Can i even do this? Thanks

Are you positi've that you have gotten the correct package There's a Zen power adaptor that comes without those interchangeable plug which I saw from the online store here. If you're sure you have gotten the correct package perhaps you should contact the vendor/Customer Support(if you had order from the online store) and verify with them.

Universal dock adapter for iPod classic

I am having problems obtaining a MA125G/B Universal Dock Adapter for my 160Gm iPod Classic. Now that all my music library is on the iPod, I am changing the "docks" from my car to my SUV to my home stereo system to a chargeable portable SONY docking station. I have only the one dock adapter #9 which came with the iPod. I live in Canada, and have had my Apple store try to locate a few additional adapters for me, but without success. I see that I can order one on line from Amazon.com, but when I go to purchase it, I am told that it can only be shipped within the US. Is there any retailer out there in Canada from whom I could purchase two or three of these universal adapters?

Actually, I'm not really replying to myself. I just want to confirm that the MA125 G/B universal dock adapter which I found on Amazon.com will be compatible with my 160GB iPod Classic? There is no picture shown with the adapter,and it says it is for an iPod Video 30GB. Is this adapter the one which has the number "9" stamped underneath the lip? I think I may be able to have it shipped to a friend in Fla.

Universal Labtop Adapter for MAC?

I found a post of an Universal Adapter for Labtops and I was wondering if there was one for MacBookPro? I saw one reply under the article i found which the user bought MAC plug adaptors to help the Universal adapter to make it work...
I'm just hoping there is one out there becuase replacing an apple adapter every year isn't ideal for students...>_<"..... and once a year if i'm lucky...

"Many reviews" does not tell the whole story. The millions of people who's adapters are working fine for years don't create a review stating that. The dozens or hundreds of people who have problems are more likely to complain - but still represent a _tiny fraction_ of users.
As I stated, my adapter has lasted over three years (about as long as MagSafe adapters have been around). The old barrel-type connectors we have still work fine, and some of those are more than 6 years old. Do keep in mind that proper unplugging is important - if you pull the cord out by the wire instead of the plug, you are adding unnecessary strain. For some devices (printers, routers, etc.), you almost never unplug them. For laptop power adapters, personally I connect and disconnect mine several times every day. If properly cared for, it should last for years. If it doesn't for some reason (other than intentional abuse), Apple will replace it for free, even if the warranty has expired. Not sure how much more you can ask for...

Which universal dock adapter for iPod touch 4th generation?

When you go into the Apple store / cables and docks, you eventually find one labelled 'Universal Dock Adapter 3-Pack for iPod touch' but when you go into the support article 300277 'Learn about Apple Universal Dock' it says to use adapter number 20 which has serial number MC598ZM/A, but when you click on the link on the serial number you get the information for 'Apple iPhone 4 Universal Dock Adapter 3-Pack'. Neither information page gives an adapter number or a serial number. So which universal dock adapter is the right one for iPod touch 4th generation?

The one for the iPhone 4 will not work. You can always call Apple and ask them.

Why no iPod w/Video 60GB Universal Dock Adapter for UK?

I've got a 60GB iPod with Video, which I use in two locations (home & work). As such, I have two universal docks.
While the 60GB iPod with Video came with a single universal dock adapter, I need another adapter for my other universal dock. Unfortunately, only the 30GB adapter is available for purchase on the Apple Store (UK version).
Anyone know why the 60GB adapter has slipped off the map in the UK? It's listed in the US store.
Alternatively, can anyone suggest a place that might sell them?

Universal Travel Adapter for the Zen Mi

I'm planning on ordering a 6GB white Zen Micro from the Creative store soon and hopefully getting it in time for my trip to Germany and France this July - so I've also been looking at the Uni'versal Travel Adapter in the Creative store also. But I have a few questions about it...
Since the normal power adapter seems to be out of stock for the time being, I was planning on just using the USB charger with my computer to recharge *while I have the player in the US* - which is really no big deal - but does the uni'versal travel adapter offered *need* the "regular" power adapter too, or does it plug straight into the micro and then into the wall without it's
Also, will the uni'versal power adapter work in France and Germany? (I'm pretty sure it will, I'm just asking because I don't want any nasty surprises!)

The travel adapter doesn't need the other charger also, it's stand-alone.
It will work in France and Germany.
Really all the travel adapter is, is the original adapter with different sockets. If the other adapter were available you can get this and buy a travel socket.

Universal Power Adapter for Europe for my Zen Vision

I'm going to Spain in 2 weeks and i'm wondering if the Uni'versal Power Adapter will work with my Zen Vision: M. In the compatability section, it names several models, but I don't see the Vision: M. Does that mean I won't be able to bring my Zen with me? Or am I just not looking hard enough and I can actually buy the Uni'versal Adapter?

Car adapter for zen xtra 40 or 60

Hello all!
I did do a message search for this question, but I couldn't find what I was looking for...so I apologize in advance if this has been asked and answered.
I'm thinking of buying a zen xtra 40 or 60 GB tomorrow, but I really need the car adapter to charge and/or play it. Is there one available? I read on an Amazon review that you could buy one at Radio Shack or Bed Bath and Beyond? Can anyone verify this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as my decision is based upon this answer...

I allready have the universal dock connector, but with the new Lightning Connector it is not working.
I can't imagine to connect the new iPod nano with the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter?!
Will the iPod fit the universal dock with it?

I am affraid that the iPod will not stay in place and tip over if i place the Lighting to 30-pin adapter on top on my universal dock and then attach my iPod to it!

Apple makes no such thing really (that I know of). I believe Belkin makes a lot of their car products as well. The closest is the iTrip.
For something that plugs in like a standard headphone jack, you need a way into your CD player. be it if your head-unit has RCA jacks, a standard headphone-in, a line-in, or anyother hook-up. If not, you have to find a way in through a third-party box.
I know for Honda Accords, SoundGate makes such a product.
If nothing can be found for your vehicle you will need a tape->CD adapter or an FM modulator.
For the tape option, you need a tape player in the car. The quality will not exceed tape quality.
For the FM option, you can get a stand alone (just a little broadcaster that you tune too on your radio) or an inline (plugs into your antenae; you still tune in but it has better quality).

Complaint: No DRM10 Yet for Zen Tou

I have a complaint. Why has firmware upgrade promised for the Zen Touch in the fall of 2004 not been released yet? Why has there been no communication about the fact that we are now well beyond the Q date promised in the press release?
Not having DRM0 for a player is one thing. That's fine. But, to commit to DRM0 for a product and then not deli'ver in anything like the timeframe promised in a press release is pretty awful business. On top of that, to not communicate new expectations to your users while simultaneously proving that you are capable of putting DRM0 on devices (like the Micro) is very bad business.
I appreciate that I am a fool for buying a product because Creative promised an upgrade within a certain tim frame, but if Creative wants me to be a fool who buys any of their products again, they will (a) communicate with their users and (b) release DRM0 firmware upgrades for the products they promised they would provide them for (c) stop making promises they are not willing to deli'ver on.
I purchased my Zen Touch specifically so I could use services like Yahoo! Music Engine. I love YME, but my investment there is going to waste because my Zen Touch does not work as promised.
If this is not the appropriate forum for this comment, please direct me to someone at Creative who can fix this.

I know my post is a bit of a rant, and I am sure that no one on this board can fix the problem. But if I know companies and marketers in particular (and I do) they know that customers who are so annoyed that they are willing to be vocal about it are bad for business and they allocate resources accordingly. I have never before complained about a product, and I have long been a fan of Creative. Precisely because I think Creative is so great, I feel they need to know how badly they are screwing up.
The marketers and execs (who can fix the communications and resource issues that have caused me and other users to become annoyed) may not frequent these boards, but enough complaints from enough channels will get through to them.
So, I encourage everyone else who is waiting to post or to write Creative.
