Universe Connection in Business Objects for SAP BW as Source.

Hi All,
I am trying to create a new Universe connection where i took SAP as a source , I filled all the details that is required for connection like Application server and system number.
when i click on next it showing a error like this--
businessobjects115.olapi.browseobject.1
could not load provider for transport"sap"
Could anyone please help me.

Search API for searching Business Objects in SAP R/3

Hi All,
As per my requirement i need to search Business Objects from a third party application by writing some java code.
I know only JCO which is useful for to establish a connection from Java to SAP Server and execute the RFC's or BAPI's which are reside in SAP Server.
Can any one help me, it is possible or not to search Business Objects in SAP for example Master Data( Like Employee, Vendor, Customer-) or Transactional Data ( like Sales Order, Purchase Order--), in case if it is possible any Search API is there to use on SAP System and what are the Prerequisites and the Feasibilty.
Its urgent---PLZ help me how to resolve this issue

Optimum approach to architect BI solution in Business Object and SAP BI

Hi Expects , I as long as my experience going in delivering BI solution in Business Object and SAP BI We have option to connect to SAP BI via Building BO Universe on SAP BI cube or BEX Query . Now take a example we have 1000s of BEX queries in production. So Should I architect the solution recommending creation of 1000s of BO Universe. Which I donu2019t feel fusible option. You may reply me back saying create BO Universe on SAP BI Cube/Multiprovider, which will reduce no of universe to be created . But at the same time couple of questions comes in my mind u20131. Will I be able to leverage SAP BIA (SAP Business Intelligence Accelerator) to get best performance . 2. As of now BIA dose not accelerate queries build on Multiprovider ??? I believe When I Build Universe on BEX Query It will leverage BIA , But Not sure what will happen if I build BO Universe on Cube. Can we collectedly arrive at Optimum approach to architect Bi solution in Business Object and SAP BI ?? Comments are welcomed Regards Ashutosh D

Creation of Generic business Object for a standard transaction

Hi,
We have a requirement where we are depreciating the assets (standard transaction ABAA) using a custom BDC program. We need to maintain a history (called audit trail) for the particular asset that has been depreciated using this program. For this audit train we have been asked to use "Generic Business Object" in transaction code ABAA.
Unfortunately, Generic object services are not available in this transaction code. Can you please suggest me how to create "Generic Business Object" for a particular standard transaction code. Also, we have show the details of custom workflow that follows the approval process in order to depreciate the asset. how to show this workflow details using Generic Business Object. This is a very critical issue, any help will be very help ful.
Please let me know should you require more information on this topic.

If you need to have Business Objects and SAP work together in conjunction you need to have the Business Objects Integration Kit for SAP. Integration Kit provides the database drivers and other features for reporting off SAP.

Business object for workflow

I am facing a proble to create a workflow for service connection .
The business process is that is a business partner want a electricity connection then if it is a reconnection then agent shud take the previous dues to the business partner for this i want to open the cash payment screen .

Hi, I don't think you have a business object for the cash desk, you'll have maybe to create you own BOR method to call transaction FPB0.

Hi,
Then in T.code SWEC, you can configure for the Event.
For this you need the BO to configure, Search the BO first in Forum & SAP Help.
Once BO found, you can trigger the event via CDHDR config.

How to Find Business Objects for any Tranaction .

Hi Abapers,
How to find Business objects for any transcation..... and how to connect the Work flow to any Trancation so that for example any body changes the date of Birth ...... so that the work flow should trigger .

Hi Bhaskar,
For finding business object,you can try transaction SWO4 and by checking the documentation in it you can find your required business object.
Another method is:
1) Go to Trx SWE4 and switch on the event trace.
2) Run your transaction which you want to use for triggering your workflow.
3) Run transaction SWEL and find your Business Object and related event in it.
For connnecting your WF to your transaction you have to create a start event in your WF in SWDD,where in you specify the Business Object and start event which you find using above method.
Eg.You want your WF to be triggered whenever you have an error in your idoc.For this your BO will be IDOCAPPL and your event will be (inputErrorOccurred).This you will give in header data in SWDD.

Connect two Business Object (BUS2038 and BUS0010) in Workflow!

I have a Workflow based in BUS2038 (Maintenance Notification), I can see attributes like Functional Location (code).
My problem is, i can´t put Functional Location (Description) that is an attribute in BUS0010 (Functional Location) with an input Functional Location (code).
BUS2038
Input: Notification number
Output: Functional Location (code) (attribute)
BUS0010
Input: Functional Location (code)
Output: Functional Location (description) (attribute)
I want put Functional Location (description) in a mail step.
How I can achieve this?

Thank you Rick Bakker, I implemented this BUS0010 in BUS2038 (and delegate) but when I was testing, the link between two business objects is <nothing>. Do you need any program for connect both Business Objects?

Hi,
Check BUS2037 which may be the Business Object. As no events Create a Custome Change Document Object using SCDO.
check VFM Package for other BO if any.
Firstly debug the exits and check which BO is used so that you can create a subtype.

And my biggest problem right now is how to capture technology and business requirements and match them with SAP PI
I plan to use this format while requirements gathering about integration platform:
1- Draft Requirements
Q- What is the names and status of sending and receiving application and how they will be used
2- Detailed Requirements
Q- Connectivity, Administrative and Business related questins
3- Administrative and project management information
Q- Which applications are involved, who is the original supplier? Who is technical contact at the supplier
4- Business requirements
Q- Questions about the information flow which will support some business processes
5- Connectivity to applications
Q- Questions about connectivity mechanism, file formats (flat file or XML or something else), data access methods and so on
What do you think about the general concept?
