University Wi-Fi not working

I am currently at a camp at UT Dallas, which has a 802.1x network. To make my iPod work with the Wi-Fi, I updated. I can manually connect through the "other" option, but Safari doesn't load webpages, giving a "Safari can't open the page because it is connected to the internet." I know my username and password are fine, since I use it to connect with my laptop. I put in the SSID, select WPA2 Enterprise, type in my username and password, and accept the certificate, but it doesn't actually load anything. I have an iPod that currently has no Wi-Fi, so I can't download a configuration file. Any ideas why it doesn't work?

Ooops - that's not a good sign. I would first restart the computer and then hold down the option key while accessing the Apple menu and select System Information... then go under Network>Wifi and see if you've a card installed:

If you don't see a card, then somethings up with your hardware that can likely only be fixed (or at least diagnosed) by an Apple tech.

    I am using a filter at Universe level to exclude a list of customers and a couple of customers within the date range.
    This works ok for a list of customers, but customers in the date range are not excluded.
    Here is my filter in Universe:
    @Select(Order Items\Customer No) NOT IN ('10114', '10116', '10119', '10178', '11111', '11118', '11119', '11142', '11150', '11152')
    AND

    In this query you are saying the next:
    1. You don't want the users that are in the first list
    2. But you want the users whose date range is between 1/10/2011 and 1/15/2011
    Is this what you want or you really dont want the users between that range?
    Perhaps you should try this:
    AND
    (@Select(Order Items\Request Date) NOT BETWEEN  to_date('01/10/2011','mm/dd/yyyy') AND to_date('01/15/2011','mm/dd/yyyy') AND @Select(Order Items\Customer No) NOT IN ('11061','11062'))

  • Home Universal Dock is not working with my 3 gen iPod Touch

    I have the 64 gig iPod Touch. I also purchased the home universal dock DX-IPDR2. The iPod Touch TV setting is set to NTSC. With the iPod Touch in the dock and all cables connected corrrectly, there is no audio or video on the TV. Is this dock not compatiable with the third generation iPod Touch?

    An apple store rep just told me that multitasking is only enabled on 32GB or 64GB current generation ipod touch models. Thats a pretty sneaky way to sell your "current generation" 8GB models, call them latest gen, say in the press that ios4 multitasking will work on them, and then ziiiinngggggo, no multitasking if you only need 8GB of storage. oh, well, off to jailbreakland...

  • Universal Worklist UWL not working in NW04s SPS9 after upgrade from NW04

    Hello all,
    this is just a hint in case anyone has the same problem with the UWL.
    It happened to me in 2 cases, that in a Portal 7 SPS9 the UWL only showed a blank page after upgrade from NW04. In NW04 the UWL worked.
    The reason for it was something like a corrupt deployment (but there were no according error messages in any log files). The SAP Support told me to redeploy the UWLJWF*.sca according to note 895523, that worked.
    You can check whether the deployment is the reason of a non-working UWL setting the property "Launch Web Dynpro UI" to 'no'. Then the old HTMLB sources (that should work) are used (But it is not recommended to use the old sources anymore)

  • Characteristic Restrictions is not working in Universe

    Hi,
    I have given some Characteristic Restrictions in query designer's filter tab.But when i created universe on it,its not working here.
    Even i have provided condition in SAP BI query,still this is also not working in universe.
    CAn you tell me whats going wrong here?

    what kind of restriction do you apply (constant values, variables, what kind of operator do you use etc)?
    Which version of BO do you use?
    Conditions defined in thehe query designer are not applied in the universe. This is by design. Characteristic restrictions defined in filter section should work though.

  • IPhone (3,3G,4) does not work with Apple Universal Dock.

    I have a 3rd generation iPod Touch that has been upgraded to iOS 4. My iPod Touch will no longer sync via the Apple Universal Dock. Also, my new iPhone 4 also will not sync via the Apple Universal Dock.

    Trust a geek not to give up. I decided to get to the bottom of the "iOS device does not work with the Apple Universal Dock" problem. I noticed that the iPhone 4 and iPad came with slightly different USB-Dock adapter cables. I wondered if that might be the issue. My Apple Universal Dock was connected to my Mac via the original dock adapter cables which are slightly larger. I connected the newer cables between the Mac and the Apple Universal Dock and .... voila! Both the iPod Touch with iOS 4 and the iPhone can now connect via the Apple Universal Dock. Apple changed something in the way the adapter cables function.
    Of course I still have the problem with the car head unit dock adapter ... Sigh. I'll have to call Best Buy ( uughh! ) and find out if they'll do the update for me. The were the vendor authorized installer.

  • Reports based on Linked Universes in BOXI 3.0 do not work

    We have noticed that reports based on linked Universes do not work. We have imported our (BO) documents/Universes into the BOXI R2 environment, upgraded to BOXI 3.0 and now found this issue in InfoView which affects a lot of our reports, details as follows:
    When refreshing a (Deski) report in InfoView, get a dialogue box titled "Refreshing Data" with no error message;
    Click on OK, and it seems the report does not get refreshed;
    Click on Refresh again, this time get prompt dialogue box;
    Enter prompt, click on Run Query;
    Get another dialogue box titled "Prompts" with message "SetPrompts failed - click on OK;
    Click on a TAB in the report - get error message, title "Report" with message "The document instance is no longer available. Please reopen the document (Error:RFC 00421);
    Click on OK it throws you out of the report and takes you back to the document list;
    Try another report:
    Click on Refresh Data;
    Error message - title "Refreshing Data", message "Cannot load linked universes. (UNV0011) - click on OK;
    Help !!!!

  • Simple calculations in Universe not working for XI 3.0

    Simple calculations in Universe using key figures are not working in XI 3.0(without any Fix Pack)
    Below is the steps I followed.
    1. Using key figure [Jan] I am trying to round the values by deviding it by 1000.
    <EXPRESSION>@Select([Jan])/1000</EXPRESSION>
    This gives me a null cell value.
    2. I tried addition then
    <EXPRESSION>@Select([Jan])+1000</EXPRESSION> result was all the cell values changed to 1000.
    3. Finally without calculation I tried
    <EXPRESSION>@Select[Jan]</EXPRESSION> this also resulted null value
    But without EXPRESSION tag if I try @Select[Jan] it works fine.
    Am I missing anything in above expressions.
    As of now I am creating variable in report to incorporate the rounding.

    It was my mistake while writing the question. Path I have used is correct one only @Select(Key Figures/.
    If i use the above alone, I am able to se the data. But if I use in betwen <EXPRESSION> then it gives null value.
    Note: Pls dont confuse with flower bracket i used it just to avoid coverting it to a html link and also the backslash it was not showing in preview
    I have followed that pdf and created calculation in universe.

    The Intel Chipset driver handles USB drivers. You can download it from the Toshiba Support/Drivers Website.
    But if you installed a strange USB Device recently (perhaps a USB keyboard/mouse/HDD), its driver may be conflicting. So you would need to remove that driver from Control Panel -> Program Features first, then reinstall the Intel Chipset Driver.

  • Universe filters not working OK

    Hi Gurus. Can someone help me, PLEASE?
    One of my users is convinced that if someone modifies a report that has been scheduled, universe filters used in the report get damaged and don't work properly.
    I need to explain my user that if you do something just in your deski report it doesn't alter the universe, but this user is convinced that this is the other way.
    I don't know why exactly this user thinks that.  Is there any documentation to prove that what you do in a report don't alter universes?

    This one i possible, as the filters are already in the report, if someone modifies report SQL, it might not work properly.
    The original filters inside universe will remain untouched.
    I don;t think there is a doc that will say this. It's just how the product works, Deski?Webi read from universe, never write to it.

  • Airport Express not working with University Network

    So I recently purchased an Airport Express to use as a router/to stream music because my University's (University of Arizona) network is a WPA-2 Enterprise network doesn't allow that. I have an ethernet port in my dorm room and its all hooked up but when I connect to my created network there is no internet connection. I already registered the MAC address with the network so now I'm not sure why its not working.

    I have just bought the new Airport Express as well and when I plug it into my router at home it does not pick up the Internet. My old AE has no problems at all and all other connections work.
    I can see the new AE in my Airport Utility but cannot connect to it. Really frustrating and far from plug and play.

  • Cascaded LOV do not work in derived universe

    Hi all,
    Can ay body help me on this.
    Cascaded LOV do not work in derived universe. The same cascaded LOV works                                                          
    well in component / core universe. 
    For Example:
    say object state is generated as Cascaded LOV's with city. in core universe. when you create a webi report based on the core uiverse and drag the object state it Cascaded LOV's are generated.
    now say you create aother universe as derived with the same universe as core universe. Now create a webi report based on derived universe try to drag the state object the cascaded LOV's do not get displayed.
    Note:we have not included any object of the core in the derived universe.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you for your reply. Actually this is not a migrated derived universed. Yes it is the case with migrated reports from R2 to R3.1 till FP 1.3. But it is resoved in Fixpack 1.4 and above.
    In addition it is also a issue in Plain R3.1 with even sample universes that is e-fashion. it is resolved in FP 1.4.

  • Universal Wireless Keyboard by Palm: Keys do not work properly

    4 keys on the right side of the keyboard (0, P, L, ".") do not work, and I find it very annoying, because it's been a common problem among all the Palm keyboard I have used.
    I have owned 3 Palm keyboards so far. The first one was Palm Wireless Keyboard. It worked great at first, but after about 8 months of use, the keys on the right stopped working. It was not a software problem, I was sure, because I'd performed all the resets (soft, hard, you name it) but it did not resolve the problem. Since the keyboard was still under warranty, Palm replaced it with a new Palm Universal Wireless Keyboard. It worked great at first, but after several months of use, the keys on the right stopped working as well. Palm did not replace this keyboard but I got a new Palm TX around the time, and the Palm sent me Universal Wireless Keyboard free with it, so I just started using the new one, which, worked great at first, but then gave away after several months of use. And I'm TIRED of it.
    The keys will work sometimes, but mostly don't, at least not promptly. If I hold down the troubled keys and wait long enough, sometimes they will start working. The keyboard makes a soft ticking noise when I press down on the normal keys, but the troubled ones don't, when they are not working, and I'm guessing this has to do with the wiring.
    I was wondering how I can fix this problem. It is VERY annoying when the keys suddenly stops working when I'm taking notes in the class or just won't start working at all.

    Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
    How much RAM & free Disk space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
    Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
    In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?
