UNIX pam authentication dosn't work anymore for SGD 4.20-984

In SGD 4.20 the UNIX/PAM/LDAP authentication doesn't work anymore.
After login into tarantella "Invalid Credentials" appears.
SGD is configured to authenticate UNIX users. In UNIX - PAM/LDAP is working properly:
"getent passwd" shows all LDAP users and login with LDAP-Accounts via ssh is possible as well.
Do somebody know what is wrong ?

Plus sign not working anymore for distribution group

Without our Outlook client it was possible to make a New E-mail, enter a part of the distribution group, pressing control-k to force lookup the group and it was resolved. With the plus sign you can expand the requested ditribution group. Now this is not

What does "Now this is not working anymore" mean? Does it mean you didn't get the Expand List warning or it didn't expand the distribution group when clicking plus sign?
Does this issue happen to all users and all distribution groups?
If you mean you didn't the Expand List warning, we can try this to get it back:
Open your Registry Editor and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\Options\General (where xx is the version of your Office.)
Look for and open the PONT_STRING value, you'll see a list of numbers in the Value box. Remove number
13 from the list and test again.
If you mean that clicking the plus sign didn't expand the group, we may try to open Outlook in safe mode and test again. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
outlook /safe and press Enter.
If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.

Saving tabs doesn't seem to work anymore for me in 4.0.1

Since I've installed FireFox 4.0.1 the saving of tabs doesn't seem to work anymore. When I press exit I only receive the notification "are you sure you want to close x tabs?". When firefox or my computer crashes the tabs are saved, but when I try to exit myself I can't. Can someone tell me how to solve this?

Hi, I have a similar problem. When playing music, the screensaver has stopped working. Instead all I get is a white screen. I have checked all the settings and they are ok. The photos show and the albums show will work. But as soon as I switch back to slideshow I get the white screen back. It is even like this in 'Preview'.
Have you solved the problem now. If so, how?
Anyone else affected? I took a new software update to the Apple TV two days ago. Could this be the problem?

Animate CC 2014.1 - 100%w & 100%h don't work anymore for symbols

Hi.
I experienced a strange thing in the latest update for Edge Animate. Before it was always possible to set a symbol to 100% height and width. You had to enter the symbol and then set the height and width to %. Then it worked at the stage.
Now, when you do that, it turns into pixel on stage again and is greyed out so you can't change it anymore. That is making my work impossible with Animate. Is this a bug and will be fixed by Adobe or is this a feature they just have removed? Is there any work around?

I have a macbook white with osx 10.6.8 and the software update wont work anymore for upgrading the software ,what should i do?

some of the apps that i just downloaded are not compatible with my software and when I tried to upgrade to mavericks from the app store, in my download list it wont download. Before ive tried download it, it worked, but i paused it, so when i tried again, nothings changed

Software Update won't take you beyond 10.6.8 which is the highest incremental update for Snow Leopard. The fact that it won't let you upgrade to Mavericks suggests that your Mac is not compatible.
You should start by checking that your Mac can handle Lion, for which the requirements are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
The original early 2006 MacBooks have only a Core Duo processor and so are not compatible, but the models from late 2006 on have a Core 2 Duo and so should be.
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store ($19.99). You will get a code which you can use to download it from the Mac App Store.

XCode 5.02 not working anymore for me

Something is wrong with my xcode. I updated to 10.9.2 a few days ago. Yesterday, I started a new cocoa project and wrote out some methods and connected them to buttons in the xib file. However, when I ran the code, I got the same error for each of my IBActions (ex. "Could not connect the action increaseCount: to target of class AppController"). I tried deleting all of the derived data, but that didn't help. So then I tried creating a new project, and then I ran into a lot more problems. In fact, the autocompletions were not working right, even for methods like NSLog. It also wasn't coloring in the text of the methods and class names like it normally does, and it wouldn't test for errors/warnings unless I analyzed the product. However, it would still compile and build if the code was correct. Furthermore, none of the IBOutlets or IBActions would appear in the xib file for my AppController even when I put in an NSObject block and set its class to my AppController. The strangest part is that the code runs fine if I copy and paste it to the xcode on my local library's computer's xcode (their computers are running 10.9.1). Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

BomArchiver not working anymore for tar.gz files

I don't know what happened to my system, but I can't expand tar.gz files anymore using BomArchiver. The "Expand window" flashes half a second and disappears.
I check all Permissions but no chance.
Then i opened a terminal window pointing to the gzip file and discovered that, each time i try to unzip the file, a new invisible folder, name .BAHxxxx (where xxxx is a random number) containing an invalid file. Group for that folder is wheel with Read Only.
Any help ?

Yes, at the moment 14 people have read your message but evidently no one, including me, actually knows the nature of the problem, let alone a solution. If you have Console (it is in your Utilities folder) running in the background, does it show an error message when the failure occurs?

Proxy upgrade from SP1 to SP5 doesn't work anymore for virus scanning.

Upgraded from SP1 to SP5 and the virus scanning updates no longer work. No changes have been made it is a complete carbon copy using the migrate button. No ip addresses have been altered nor has the ports been changed. I've tried SP2, 3 & 4 and they too fail with a 504 error log. I turned SP1 back on and it works first time.
If you can solve this I'll be so impressed because its driving me crazy. I've checked all config files and everything is as it should be.

This thread was interesting as I have many customer sites using virus scanning without any problems together with this proxy.. Some sites are really huge as well.
Can the author of this thread explain how the scanning that now refuse to work is done with the proxyserver... Through an API or as forwarded requests to another scanning proxy (trend micro etc.) or what ? Maybe this is done in some way I am not aware of. Then I am really interested in your problem.
We mostly use it "user->proxy->vscanner->site" where the proxy and the scanner often run at the same host. This in huge installations together with load balancers infront and behind.

since the last update Adobe Muse is not working anymore for me. The sites open normally but then the Master Pages don't load properly and it freezes all the time.

1. What is the size of your .muse file?
2 Try to duplicate the .muse file, open it, and try to reduce child pages, and see if you get some improvement.
3. Do you have asset on Network drive, if yes, add these asset to local drive and then use them, see if that helps.
4. Are you using Mac/Windows?
Please let me know these details, and I will try to investigate.

Special character short cuts don't work anymore

I have no clue what happened, what I may have done, or if something was installed that made the change, but short cut keystrokes don't work anymore for creating special characters (e.g. "option - (dash) and option shift - (dash) to create an mdash and ndash respectively). I've tried restoring defaults under keyboard shortcuts (sys pref > keyboard) and have Full Keyboard Access set to all controls, but nothing's changed.
I've also scoured Google for the past half hour and have not been able to find anything. Any clues as to what's going on?

I also tried rechecking Unicode Hex Input and the keyboard shortcuts still worked. So it looks like you need to have U.S. Extended checked to support keyboard shortcuts for things like – (mdash) and — (ndash).
I don't think that should be necessary. Either US or US Extended should work fine on its own.
In system prefs/language & text/input sources, check the box for Show Input Menu in Finder. That way you will know for sure what keyboard is active via the "flag" menu at the top right. Accidentally switching to Unicode Hex (which can be done via a keyboard shortcut) will disable your Option key for special characters (which is why I asked you to make sure only US was checked).

Spotify Connect not working anymore / "Unknown" method of payment

Hey everybody, I have a problem with Spotify Connect and also my account billing. I hope this is the right section to ask since my problem is cross-platform. First of all these are the devices I use to access the Spotify services:Desktop PC running Windows 8.1 ProNexus 6 running Android 5.1Galaxy S3 running Android 4.4.4(all on the latest official version of Spotify)I have a Spotify Premium Abonnement. So far so good. My major problem is that Spotify Connect isn’t working anymore for me. This problem persists since approximately mid-October 2014 (yeah I was too lazy to post before) after I came back from a trip to Ireland.It used to work all fine before and I could control my desktop client from my phone, but now nothing. The PC doesn’t show up on the phone and the phone doesn’t show up in the desktop client. To clear things up, since the problem exists I have tried a few things to get it working:Uninstalled/reinstalled the app on the phone(s)Uninstalled/reinstalled the windows application (also tried the beta back then which is now the stable release)Further I checked the following:I am definitely on the same WI-FI network (I could also still see my phone on the Devices tab before that feature was removed)I was Premium all the way, not a short period as free user that could have potentially broken the Connect featureAnd yes I’m logged in with the same account on all devicesA (good) side-effect that I think is related to the issue:I can stream (literally stream, not using the offline feature) different tracks on multiple devices at the same time without getting the “Your account is used on another device message” like it used to be before Connect stopped working for me. Although useful I rather have Spotify Connect backMy (maybe stupid) speculations as to why the problem exists:When I created the account back in 2013 I couldn’t log in for a long time because of system internal conflicts because of the hash at the beginning of my Spotify user name “#moritz”. I contacted the support by e-mail and like after a quarter of the year I could finally log in with my new account. Maybe the hash still causes some problems?Another theory I have or better a curiosity I noticed was, while I was in Ireland my streaming stopped because of somebody else using my account, which is absolutely impossible because the only other device I used back then was my PC which was at home – alone. And of course I never gave anyone else my log-in data. Actually quite a few odd things happened using Spotify on my Ireland trip…My second problem is rather minor and doesn’t affect me negatively. Since I subscribed to Premium back in April 2014 only my first two receipts showed my Credit Card as “Visa”. Since then it says “Unknown” as method of payment. It continued to work and charges my credit card monthly but I still find it a bit strange. I have never changed anything related to my subscription or method of payment. Any ideas why this is? I really hope my first problem can be solved somehow as I’m planning to buy Hi-Fi gear that has Spotify Connect built-in and I really want to be able to control it with my phone.With kind regards,Moritz
