Unknown charge from wap.cingular

I got my iPhone on Aug 21, and on my account page, I have usage from Internet/MEdia net. Included: 0, Used: 1.29mb, Remaining: 0.
What is this? I checked out my data page, and it says it's from "wap.cingular" but it's only been used a couple times, when in reality, I use my phone for data constantly throughout the day. I don't have any apps for it or anything, the only thing I do is go to Safari.
But, when I look at the data usage page, the earlier entry is from 8/27, which is only yesterday.
Basically, I don't really care what shows up, I just want to make sure that I'm not being charged for something ridiculous. Especially since I have the $30/month unlimited data plan.
Thanks.

It will be corrected before you are billed. I had "overages" like that for voice and data at first (looking at the account online), but they disappeared before the end of the statement period. In my case, it was for calls made before the number had fully ported over, etc.
You only need to be concerned if there are charges associated with data usage when you get your statement.

  • Unknown charge from app store

On 17 May 2012, I have created apple ID for my new ipad. I didn't buy any paid apps on app store, but I was charged for 1 USD from my credit card. I want to know what is that charge for, and when you will reverse that charge to me?

You should look into the game, the three extra charges are most likely in-game purchases.

  • Unknown charge from my account

I just found my visa war charged for 8,45 today for iTunes store. But I did not buy anything recently, What happened to my account?

Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here, we won't know what it's for.
You've checked the purchase history on your account via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes, and have you got any auto-renewing subscriptions ? If you can't find what it's for, or you didn't make the purchase (and nobody else has access to your account and/or devices), then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HELP! My 3GS wont charge from the mains or be recognised by my computer?!

    Hi,
So Im having some similar problems with my Iphone 3GS (16g, white) Literally this afternoon, I noticed it needed a charge, so I tried plugging it into the usual wall socket in which I use, I then noticed it hadnt started its charge. So I moved it to another power point in my house and luckily it charged, so I left it for an hour to charge up and then took it off charge and continued to use it as normal. A few hours later, just before I head out to work I go to top up the charge as I am going to be out for a while. I plug it into numerous sockets in the house and absolutely nothing happens, it dosent recognise the charger. So I decide to try hooking it up to my laptop, I plug it into the usb and instead of the usual itunes startup and sync it does windows displays a bubble saying 'unknown device' and then another one afterwards saying something along the lines of 'the device has malfunctioned'. I try turning it off and on again, I have even tried the reboot/reset thing holding sleep and the home button but again it will not charge or be recognised by my laptop.
I know its not a problem with the power lead as I have turned the phone off and inserted the lead and the phone recognises it by bringing up the apple logo from the black off screen and turning the device on but it will not charge from there at all.
Any help at all??? Ive literally only had it 5 months, I very rarely plug it into my computer probably once a monthish...I dont know what to do?
    Help?!

Im having the same problem as well... Mine is doing it shortly after updating it to 4.0 software... mine charges fine but no connection to the comp is being picked up... I posted a thread last nyt... iphone not being recognized by computer if u wanna have a read but we are having similar probs... Im sooo p.o!!!

  • Corruption of devices by charging from iBook

Hi. my problem seems so wierd that I haven't really trawled the forums for an answer but here goes. I have charged 2 Motorola V3i phones from my iBook G4 (having to return then to the dealer for a replacement each time). Both became 'corrupt' - ie: I couldn't use the phone at all. I only put 2 and 2 together after the second phone 'died'- The common factor being the charge from the iBook. Then, stupidly forgetting these happenings I bought a new iPod, charged it up from the iBook, copied all my iTunes over. Great all seemed fine, till I went onto the iTunes store to buy a new album! I went to update the iPod and got a -48 Unknown Error message! This basically said that the iPod could not be updated and the only way to do so was to do a reset. I tried the iPod on 2 other Macs I have, only to experience the same result! I took it back to the dealer and initially they got it to work after a reset and updating from the inStore MacBook Pro. However knowing what I knew about my phone experience I tried it again on my iBook before leaving the dealer. Same thing. He said he's never seen anything like it and thankfully gave me a new iPod. My dilema is that I am now scared to plug the iPod into the iBook and as I use this Mac loads (it has all my iLife stuff on it and I love using it) for fear of corrupting the iPod. It's almost as though the ibook is somehow damaging the electronics/battery of these devices. Does anyone have an answer! I know buying a new MacBook/Pro laptop would be the ideal answer but even then I am worried about that becoming 'infected' with the same problem! Is there such a thing as 'bad electricity'?Thanks

Hi, just so you know, it's not the iBook that's the problem. Turns out there's a major issue with the latest iPods. I returned mine to the store and got a refund as I was so hacked off!
    Thanks for your comments earlier.

  • GEEKSQUAD RENE00015826 Unknown Charge

I just checked my credit card statement and saw a charge for $53.11 that was made 12/21/14 from a GEEKSQUAD RENE00015826 apparently from MN. I'm not sure what this is for and would like to know if possible, thanks.

    Hello PriscillaQ,
Unknown charges can be confusing things. I am sorry if this has created any inconvenience for you due to those funds being charged to your account, and I would be happy to check into this for you.
The things hockeycanuckjc has brought up are certainly possible explanations behind this mystery charge, but it seems you may have eliminated the antivirus as a possibility due to how you purchased it. However, without acquiring more information from you, I will be unable to provide you with a definite reason. You may also dispute this charge with your financial institution. Best Buy should be able to partner with them in the investigation process for any information needed.
Please let me know if you haven’t received a resolution to this yet as I would be happy to try and help.

  • My iPod Touch will no longer charge from a wall socket, only my computer. HELP!

My 4th generation iPod Touch will no longer charge from a wall socket, only my computer. I tried buying a new cable and USB charging socket (and I bought one made by Apple), but that did not fix the problem. I restored it from iTunes, hoping that would work as well, but that failed. I am at my wit's end. Can anybody here help me? I've bought new equipment, tried rebooting, restoring, etc. but nothing so far has proven successful. If anyone's got a solution, please help!
    Thanks!

All I can suggest is the standared fixes. It seems very strange
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Bring the cable and Apple wall charger too.

  • I was trying to log in using my credit card, and was unable to. However when I checked my checking account i seen there was 4 charges from itunes. But, i was never able to sign in. I would appreciate a PERSON contact me to explain why this happened.

    Hello,
Last night my daughter was trying to log in to take care or some apps she has. While she was doing so, she got a message that said credit card was declined. Three time that popped up on her. then I tired with my credit card, and the same thing happened. So I left it and tired calling. But do you think there could be a person to talk with **** NO. Now I am stuck doing this. So anyway's sorry to rant, I Checked my checking account today and found there were a charge from itunes of $1.38 on it. I then looked at my daughter account and found 3 charges of the same amount. Mine ended up getting a overdraft fee of $35.00.
My question is. What are you going to do about this? If I am unable to log in how can I get charged? does not make a hole lot of scene to me.How about you?

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
Is the credit card registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management
Each time that you add or change your card details then a temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid (though that is usually $1 or the approximate local equivalent) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3702
Did your daughter owe any amounts to iTunes ? Does anything show on your purchase history : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727 ? If they are proper charges which you don't think that you should have then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • My ipod will not charge from a wall socket but will charge using the same cable if the usb end is plugged into a computer or an airport power source. My iphone and ipad charge fine on the same cable usin ghte same wall plug in the same wall socket?

My ipod will not charge from a wall socket but will charge using the same cable if the usb end is plugged into a computer or directly into an airport power source. My iphone and ipad charge fine on the same cable using the same wall plug in the same wall socket. This makes no sense but I see that it has been posted as a problem elsewhere. This must be due to some kind of degredation of the Ipod. . It is not fixed by IOS resets as others have noted.
Has anyone asked Apple directly about this?

    Hi there Apples or Pears,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the articles below.

  • How do you remove fraudelant charges from itunes app "words with friends, WORD-O_Meter from Zynga Mobile"

I purchased this app July 5, 2013 and was charged 2 times that day. Now it keeps telling me I have run out uses  and i need to renew. It has charged me 4 times on July 20, 3013. The app is a crook, please remove all the charges from my account.
Two of the charges are on Itunes store receipt No.197055768594
I need to know if the apps store has shared my credit card information with the Zynga mobile company? Do I need to cancel my credit card to prevent Zynga mobile from charging any other charges or worse yet selling my account number.
If you google "zynga mobile fraud" then you will get a lot of information on "zynga mobile".
You need to stop all payments to Zynga they are causing the apps store to cheat your customers.
I have CC this email to Bill Husted (Technobuddy), who is a syndicated newspaper writer that I read in "the Atlanta Journal-Constitution".
    Thanks for looking into this.

  • 4th Gen. ipod. No longer charges from wall socket. Still can charge from computer. Wall power adapter and cord both work fine on other devices. Wall Why?

4th Generation ipod. Used to charge fine from wall socket (cord and USB adapter) and could also charge on the computer. Suddenly stopped charging from the wall. The same cord and adapter still work for my iphone, so there is not problem with either of them. What has changed? Why won't the ipod charge from the wall anymore? Is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks! It didn't actually work with the one I was using to charge the computer either. We had tried the computer cable with the power adapter, and it didn't  work to charge the ipod, though it does charge my iphone. Following your idea further,  I waited for my husband to get home from a trip and tried one of his extra cables he keeps in his backpack. That cable worked in with the USB  power adaptor. I had thought that because the cable I use on my computer charges my iphone through the USB power adapter or the computer, and that it charged the ipod through the computer that it was fully functional. Apparantly not.  Thanks again.

  • Why wont my iphone charge from my computer after ios 7.1 update?

I have a windows 8.1 PC.  I use it for work.  I also have an iphone.  Today, I updated the ios on my phone to 7.1.  During the update, the phone was connected to my PC usb port with the apple charging cable to keep it charged.  The update finished, and I noticed that the battery was at 66%.  It was 100% before I started the update.  There was no lighting bolt/charging symbol.  I disconnected the phone from the computer.  I plugged it into the apple wall charger.  It charges from that.  I tried another apple cable on the PC.  Still no dice.  I do get the sound from the PC that a device is being connected/disconnected when I plug/un-plug the cable from the phone on the PC.  When the phone is connected to the PC, It won't show on "this PC" as any device.  I did try re-starting the PC.  I did update Itunes, and did a back up of my phone before the update, using the exact same cable.
Why is my iphone 4G w ios 7.1 not charing when connected to my Win 8.1 PC?

I found the solution on my own. I opened task manager, admin, computer management, device manager.  I scanned for harware changes.  Apple mobile device came up with an ! symbol.  I right clicked and updated the apple mobile device driver. It took about 15 seconds, but...
I never had to do this with any computer on my iphone 3 or 4G on any computer.  Would have been good to know, apple.

  • IPhone 4 will not charge from wall... help!

I've had my iPhone 4 for going on two years and never had any major issues with it. As of the last couple days, I'm having a major problem charging my phone. In the beginning, it wouldn't charge from the wall or via USB on my laptop. However, it would charge via USB when plugged into a regular windows PC. Really strange if you ask me.
After browing through some similar questions already asked on here, I found a solution for the laptop problem. I was able to update a driver in the device manager and am now able to charge via my laptop and also connect so that I can sync my phone, etc.
It still won't charge with the regular wall charger! Which uses the same USB cord that I'm using in my computer.
Originially, I had 2 wall chargers that I've had forever and when neither one of them were working the other day, I thought they were faulty so I went out and bought a new charger. It worked! I thought I was home free. Wrong. It worked for 1 afternoon and then it stopped working again (but it's the same one that I'm now using in my laptop)... so it only doesn't work when plugged into the wall.
I've tried multiple power blocks, multiple USB cords, multiple wall outlets.
No idea what the issue is!
I also tried a hard reset (power/home button) on my phone, it didn't do anything.
Also, all of my software is up to date (iOS 6.1.3).
I might just suck it up and head to Apple/Verizon tomorrow and see if they can figure it out, but in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas?!
    Thanks!

Check the bottom of the iPhone and make sure there is no lint or debris on the connector that the power/sync cord attaches to.  Also with a very low battery, you may have to let the iPhone charge several minutes before you get any indications. If none of the above solves the problem, try another cable.  You might also want to try a car charger if you've got one.

  • Capture the Freight charges from incoming invoice

    Hi Guru,
The requirement is to capture the Freight charges from incoming invoice . Is it possible to capture that amount in INVOIC01 idoc.
The Analysis what I have done is INVOIC01 IDOC type is having only two segments (E1EDS01,E1EDP26)  with Amount field . Based on the qualifier the value is getting populated . My assumption is, if we find the right qualifier for freight this may get resolved .Please let me know if there is anyother way or rigt qualifier for capturing thefrieght charge
The FM to post is ZIDOC_INPUT_INVOIC_MRM.Pls find the attached screenshot too.

Hope you have not read the Invoice Idoc type whcih is used for EDI invoice.
The Invoice idoc type does not support the functionality of Planned delivery costs ( Freight )
