I've been trying to copy one of my playlists to a blank CD and I keep getting the (4300) error message. I've already tried to lower the burn speed but I'm still not having any success. Please help.

Thanks for the update and clarification. In researching the issue it seems that the 2003 error code may have something to do with the USB connection. I would use this section of one of the above articles:
Get help with iOS update and restore errors
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you might not be able to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can try different equipment:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
Solve other issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you still see the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.

Related errors: 1, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667, or 1669.

I keeping getting this error. Right when i plug my ipod in it shows i need to plug it in to itunes. It says it's in recovery mode and needs to be restored i say ok and then it gives me this error. Flash export MOV could not complete because of an unknown error. Please help.

This problem has come up in the forum a few times and no solutions are given. Hope you can help.
I am running Flash Pro CS6 and want to export a MOV file. The export seems to work as it should until after building the audio track, and then I get an error:
Could not complete the operation because of an unknown error.
My settings are:
Quicktime is H.264, frame rate: current, quality: high, multi-pass: yes
Audio: MPEG-4, AAC, 44.1 KHz, 16-bit mono
Stop exporting after time elapsed

You can use either AVI or MOV but MOV will give you a bit of lossless compression (small file size reduction over uncompressed AVI).
What I mean by lossless is try exporting to MOV, in the video settings set the codec to "Animation", keep the colors at RGB (Millions) or if you need alpha then RGB+Alpha (Millions+). Keep the quality set all the way to the highest. Then go in audio settings and choose anything you like. Export the movie.
Now take the very large MOV file it made into Adobe Media Encoder. Once it's imported, choose a preset (H.264, etc) and choose your desired compression settings. You will see there are a lot more compression settings. Also set your audio options. Then when you're done customizing your preset just click the green start icon and let AME compress your high quality source to a much smaller file size.
Just clarifying, after you import your video in AME and you choose your preset you have to click the presets orangeish hypertext to customize the presets settings. It will not overwrite that preset so don't worry about what you change. Pay special attention to the bottom of the custom settings panel because it lets you see the output file size. Adjust your quality controls until you hit the file size you want (both video and audio). You also have a preview panel so you can see the output at any part of the timeline using those settings.

i might be able to help, but i'm pretty sure a ton of people have had the same problem and no definite answers yet. try burning at a lower speed, go to
edit < preferences < advanced tab < Burning tab, then select a lower speed, like 8x, instead of max possible. also while on that screen, make sure audio cd is selected.
you could always see if it was the brand of cd you are using. or try repairing itunes.
if none of that works, i'd just try using a different program on your computer, pretty sure most computers now come with their own cd burning program.

I received this email from Apple and this corrected the problem for me... I only had to reset the iTunes cache
1) Open iTunes
2) At the top menu, click File > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences on a Mac)
3) In the Preferences menu, click the Advanced tab
4) In the Advanced menu, you should see a button that says "Reset Cache". Please click this button.

hmmm. is there any particular reason why you don't have XP Service Pack 2 installed, Mike?
if not, i'd try installing that to see if it helps. (automatic updates from Windows Update also now require SP2, so, it would be worth also picking up any other updates you might have fallen behind on.)

Ok I know what you're going to say...read all the other posts! But I have. My problem is more specific and if anyone here can at least offer me advice, I'd appreciate it.
I've been using my brother's MacBook Pro for quite a while. I purchase CD's for the most part so I imported my CD's and organized my music on my iPod touch.afterward I would delete it from the laptop. I noticed it would stay on my iTunes with the exclamation point but more recently I cleaned that out, since my brother asked me to give him his laptop back.
Now after deleting the missing files, I get the unknown error. I can't put music in my iPod touch and I can't update it for fear of losing all my music. I have an external hard drive but I have things saved on it and nowhere to put it in order to re-format the drive to make it Mac-ready. I'm giving him the laptop back in a few days and I'd like to figure out how to fix this problem, update my iPod touch, and retrieve all my music with the artwork and apps/photos not diminished.
Any advice at all would be monumental as my music is so important to me.

ITunes unknown error - 11556 - Please help

I just updated my iPhone to 2.0.2, and it said that now I can create ringtones from the music I purchased from iTunes. So after I right click on the song and select Create Ringtone, I get this unknown message saying I am not connected to the internet when in fact when I click on the iTunes Store, it connects.
Has anybody noticed this issue?

For some reason, the newest version of iTunes (7.0.2) has completely locked up my burner in any application, though I can still rip CDs. Even reinstalling an old version has not worked. After several failed attempts at solving my burning issues with Apple support (who had no idea what to do) I have found something out. The new "Protected AAC" formatted songs will cause a "failed burn" error message. I own 2 different computers and have tried 2 different types of CD-Rs. I have found that Windows Media Player will burn just fine, and that in iTunes I can burn all my old music (under "kind" look for "AAC audio file") just fine also. So I seem to have norrowed it down to Apple's new protected formats called "Protected AAC audio file"
So far this is all I've got. Anyone else have any ideas
