while attempting to copy about 22.5gb of m4a files to my ipod i get the "could not write to... unknown error (-69)" message. it happens at about half way through the copying process and i am unable to put even a single song on the ipod after this. i have restored and tried again and it gets to the exact same point. sometimes after i disconnect, the copied music will still be on the ipod and other times, it won't. any ideas? muchly appreciated, thanks.

i'm almost positive now that it is a hardware issue that caused this error. i transferred my entire library to my ipod hard drive in a different ipod. it worked fine. i then removed the hard drive and put it in the problematic ipod and it works somewhat. itunes doesn't always see the ipod or will take 10 or more minutes to. during playback, the ipod will sometimes freeze or just skip to the next song in the middle of its current song being played.

Please help! I burned a CD just fine last week, and now when I try to burn, I am getting an unknown error code 4000. I googled the problem, and I have tried just about everything. The "include CD box is NOT checked," and I went into add/remove programs and performed the repair option. I also checked to make sure my drive is operating. Nothing seems to work. I had no problems for using every function that my iPod touch and iTunes have (including Genius play list) and of course, I've been updating every version of firmwares and iTunes programs. After I googled about this incident, I figured out this problem should not be seen on the newest version of iTunes but I'm still surffering from it.
Temporally, I turned off Genius Play List and now, that error code doesn't pop up but of course, I can not use Genius Play list because of it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, restored firmware, moved Library Extras & Genius.itdb and do them again and again. Of course, none of them worked.
What can I do? Is there anyone else who is experiencing same thing to me? How can I get my Genius Play List function back?
Please Help me. I'm desperate. :<

Did you properly prep your new drive first?
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder. If you need to reformat your startup volume, then you must boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID (for Intel Macs) or APM (for PPC Macs) then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
Steps 4-6 are optional but should be used on a drive that has never been formatted before, if the format type is not Mac OS Extended, if the partition scheme has been changed, or if a different operating system (not OS X) has been installed on the drive.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Complete the OS X installation.
I think you should shutdown the installer then erase the drive per the above and start again.

Advent 5301 Unknown Error Code 2131

When trying to burn CD's, I get 'unknown error code 2131' and then the CD is ejected without burning.

Ipod getting unknown error code when plugging it in to itunes 9

My ipod was restored with itunes 9, but after it's done it wont get recognized with itunes. Itunes says there is a unknown error code(OxE800000A). How do i get itunes to recognize my ipod. I have 3.1.2 firmware, its a 2nd generation, 8gb.

I've tried updating in the following conditions:
1. "Over The Air" at one location;
2. On a Windows computer running the latest version of iTunes at the same location;
3. On Mavericks (10.9.4) running the latest version of iTunes (11.4 (18)) at another location;
4. On Mavericks, latest iTunes over a VPN with a server location in US;
5. On Mavericks, using a 3G connection shared from an iPhone;
6. On Yosemite developer preview with a previous version of iTunes at the same location.
I got the same results in most cases except for an occasional error with code 9; I'll try again in other conditions.
Interestingly enough, I've successfully updated my devices to iOS 7.1.2 and to iOS8 GM without any issues at the same location but, of course, no two conditions are exactly the same

See below. The problem is that on some of our laptops not anywhere geographically close to our IT department, the laptop has been setup with 2 partitions and on some only with 1 partition (we used another deployment system 2 years ago), so I am trying
to prepare all our corporate laptops for Bitlocker encryption. The reason why I made this task sequence was to hit all those laptops that is not being reinstalled / installed again in the near future.
Do you have any suggestions, should it help to remove the cmd.exe /c in front of the Bitlocker cmd line ?
We have tried the MBAM solution, but in my opinion too many problems with the MBAM client.

i tried to synch my iphone after installing OS4 on my iPhone and get the above error code by some applications. Other applications are installed without any problems.
I have had the some problem with syncing the apps we the new iPad. Also there i get the above error code for some apps. But also there some are installed without any problems.
If i install the apps trough the App Store once again, it's working.
Has somebody any idea to solve the problem?

I experienced a similar problem as it occured to Edgar. After a painful update of my iPhone to OS 4.0 none of my apps was installed on my phone. I tried to sync my iPhone via iTunes and everythng seemed to by right.
But at the end of the sync I was told that some of my apps (to be honest: not one) could not be installed because of "an unknown error ocurred: (0xE8003FFE)"
Even after reboot of my iPhone, an update of iTunes and a second try could not avoid this error.
I think that this is a severe problem, because I'm using some apps for my buiness.
I'm also looking for a solution for this problem. Is there anybody who can help?
