Unknown Error for DB in Dreamweaver only (pages run fine on IIS 7)

I'm running CS3 locally on Vista with IIS 7 on the ASP .NET
framework 2.x.
My problem occurs when I try to use Access databases in
Dreamweaver. Whenever I try to "Test Connection", Dreamweaver
throws an "Unknown Error". That's it - no other information is
provided. Moreover, trying to get a list of tables in the Databases
tab returns no tables.
The paradox is that pages on the site run fine both locally
and remotely. The pages retrieve and display information in the
tables just fine (using the server behaviors created back when I
ran Dreamweaver on XP). So the pages work when I view them with
http://localhost/dev1.aspx -
and those pages that work are using Dreamweaver server behaviors.
The pages also work fine remotely (IIS 6/Win2K3/Same Directory
Structure), retrieving and displaying information as intended.
As a result of this problem, I can no longer develop the
server behaviors or any sort of database connectivity within
Dreamweaver.
Please help! Has anyone run into this?

    Itunes wont let my iphone restore, an unknown error occured (2003). I only pressed restore button.

    Hey there Palmer
    How are you?
    Well, I have an iPod Classic, it gave me the error -1436 error and would not restore on iTunes.
    I did the following:
    My Boss (@work) has a fairly old iBook but it has OS-X, so I decided to give it a try and connected my iPod to it.
    The system showed a window telling me that the disk is not MAC formated and needs to be validated prior further action. Snce it is a Mac product, I thought "yeah, go ahead".
    It then opens the disk manager utility for the Mac and showed the disk. It's window has some tabs, one is to verify the disk, so I verified it. Guess what, it had some invalid clusters.
    Then I formatted the iPod to OS-X Plus file system (next tab to the right). After formating the iPod, I "ejected" the iPod and reconnected to my PC. The Windows iTunes found an iPod with Mac file system and asked me to restore it. As I clicked on the "restore" button, I crossed my fingers as this was the last resource I have.
    Finally, after the file extraction was done, it began to restore the iPod!!
    I'm so happy about being able to restore the iPod that I decided to share with all you guys this solution as it is the most usefull, in my opinion.
    Hope you can find someone with an iBook or a desktop Mac, so you can fix yours.
    If it works for you, make sure to share the tip!!
    Kind regards
    Salvador Rivera

  • 13019 unknown error - for folks in Africa (no Apple shops, lousy internet)

    I bought my i-pod touch 64GB in Mozambique after losing my 32GB when mugged in Angola. All fine for three months, when the update to 5 came out, difficult to update due to 5 kb per sec internet connection (775 MB needs about 15 hours of iuninterrupted network). Immediately after the update came out, no syncing, and unknown error 13019. Other discussions say to to ipod on devices, then music tab and go to "sync music" option to disable "voice memos". My i-tunes only gives me "sync my ipod" option (not sync music, not sync videos or anything else). There is no tab/option about voice memos...... I downloaded the update onto an external harddrive when I was in a different country. How can I upload that to my new itunes and ipod (hoping it might fix my problem)? I  am 50 years old, and only an ipod/apple user for four months. So please excuse my ignorance, and my feeling of having been cheated...... Please help!! p.ds. I havbe guessed what my operating system is, it must be 4 something I suppose. I don't even know how to find out, but the latest update that coincided with the problem was "5"....a couple of months ago.

    This is me again, the guy that wrote the original question. I may have put too much in the question, making it difficult for people to reply.
    Maybe I can start with this one......
    If I cannot to the update download as my internet connection is so bad (I got up to 500 MB last night, but it took 7 hours, before the connection went down again, so I'm back to zero.
    But, I have the following file I managed to download to an external hard drive : iPod4,1_5.0_9A334_Restore I think that's the update I need to start trying to follow other possibilities. How do I transfer this to my computer/iTunes and iPod touch? What file or folder do I need to copy and paste it into?
    Many thanks for any help you can offer this old, ignorant fool.

  • Unknown Error for Text Tweening

    Hello,
    I'm currently going through some Flash CS3 exercises. One of
    the topics I'm trying to complete is how to tween text. According
    to the video, I am supposed to:
    1) Create a piece of static text (is: "HOME")
    2) Convert to symbol/movie clip
    3) Break apart the symbol
    4) Go into Modify -> Timeline -> Distribute to Layers
    5) Apply any desired settings and tween effects
    However, when I attempt to Distribute to Layers, I am met
    with a error: "Could not complete operation because of an unknown
    error." I've tried this many times in different ways, but the
    result is the same. I wouldn't be so frustrated with it if it
    didn't specify an "unknown" error. I tried doing this exercise
    using Dynamic text, but Flash CS3 crashed o.O
    Any help would be very much appreciated.

    I figured out the problem. Turns out I had the wrong
    anti-aliasing option.
    Apologies,

  • "pdf. protected by a password" error for a few users only

    Hi
    Lately I have had complaints that some of the users of my website are getting "pdf. protected by a password" errors when trying to open PDF files from our website. The files are created using abdpdf (abcpdf3.dll). For 99% of our userbase there seems to be no problem but for some we are now encountering this error. There is no password required to open the file (although there is an encryption owner password set), and the only other settings we have are that the ability to change, copy and edit are all set to false.
    There doesn't seem to be a common denominator in regards to environments that the users encountering the problem are using.
    Mac or PC users,  Windows XP/7 etc, IE, Firefox, Chrome etc.
    Just for clarification, the users are only trying to open the pdf, not edit it.
    Has anyone else encountered this issue?
    Thanks
    Steve

    It appears that this may be an issue with Firefox 25 (it seems I was misinformed about the other browsers).
    Info I got from a user:
    The error only happens in Firefox Ver 25 I tried ver 24 and it worked OK an it also works on Internet Explorer or saving the link and opening the document with Adobe reader.
    System info Windows 8.1
    Firefox Ver 25
    If this is the case is this the forum that I should be looking for answers on or should I go to Firefox for answers?
    Thanks

    VC project to MS project
    I find some information in the help file, and...I wonder if the customer misunderstands the function he tried to "convert" VC project to MS project
    Maybe we can ask he why he wants to do it, the problem he has, the purpose he would like to do or something else
    (Another tip. Don't forget to see the help file)
    Using the Measurement Studio Add/RemoveComponents Wizard
    This wizard allows you to add and remove components from your existing Measurement Studio projects. For example, you can add the 3D graph component to a project that acquires data. When you add and/or remove components from an existing project, Measurement Studio saves a backup copy of your .dsp and .dsw files to a subdirectory named MStudio_Backup. The backup copies contain "_mstudio_xxx" in the file name, where "xxx" is a number that distinguishes the backup file from other backup files.
    Caution: Visual Studio calls the .dsp file from the .dsw file. When you load a backup .dsw, it calls the updated .dsp file instead of the backup copy of the .dsp, which prevents you from opening the backup copy of the project. If you must open the backup copy of the project, ensure that the .dsw and .dsp files are in the original directory and rename the files to their original names. This overwrites the updated project. To avoid losing information, National Instruments recommends that you perform this step with extreme caution and only when absolutely necessary.
    Using the Measurement Studio Project Conversion Wizard
    This wizard allows you to convert Measurement Studio version 1.0 projects to Measurement Studio version 6.0 so that you can apply the latest features to your project.
    When you convert your version 1.0 project to version 6.0, Measurement Studio saves a backup copy of your .dsp and .dsw files to a subdirectory named MStudio_Backup.

  • When trying to create an account for Firefox Sync, it gives me the message "Unknown Error" for the User Name, no matter what text I enter.

    I am currently on a corporate network, and it may be blocking a site that needs to be allowed in order for this to go through, however I do not know what site that would be.

  • Im trying to publish a web gallery to BC, my settings seem correct but I'm still getting an  error: FTP transfer failed ' unknown error'. Techs on BC, say FTP working fine. Please help!

    Hey peeps,
    Im trying to publish a web gallery to be hosted on BC. Despite having what seem the correct settings im getting an error: FTP transfer failed ' unknown message'. Have checked with techs on BC. They say FTP working fine that end.
    Any suggestions?

    Have you tried connecting to another FTP server in Lightroom?
    For example, if you get a free Flickr account, can you login to it and upload a file to it?
    If you can't upload to any server, then you have a general FTP-in-Lr problem, but if problem is only with BC then, well, it's time to start scrutinizing the BC settings..
    PS - All my FTP'ing plugins have an enhanced FTP settings test feature designed to help you debug FTP settings, so another option is to download one of them, for example:
    robcole.com - FTPAggregator
    and experiment with settings tester:
    To get here, you have to click 'View / Edit Additional Settings' (in plugin manager), then choose 'New' or 'Edit' from 'Sync Pairs' drop-down menu.
    If test is unsuccessful, enable verbose logging (top section of plugin manager), and review the log file after test, or send to me.
    If you have a problem running plugin, please contact me directly:

  • Installation error for CS3 Design Standard on iMac running Snow Leopard (10.6.8)

    I had a fully functioning installation of CS3 on my iMac (Intel 2.16 MHz) and had a hard disc crash.
    After replacing the hard disc, I reinstalled from my original discs, but get the following message:
    "Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product  at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help"
    I uninstalled the program (and ran Adobe Cleaner for CS) ... then reinstalled.   Same message.
    I contacted Adobe installation support and was told that this is an old product and they cannot offer support. I find this response unsatisfying at the least.
    I am baffled because these programs had been running very well prior to the crash ... and all other software came back.
    I need this functionality, but cannot afford to upgrade at this time.

  • CS4 js error on file save -- but only when run via droplet

    I have a js script that I've been using fine in PS CS. I've now upgraded to CS4 and trying to get it working. After a couple of minor tweaks, the script works fine when invoked directly from within CS4 (in an action step). But when I create a droplet from that action, the same script gives an error when it comes to saving the image to a jpeg file.
    The relevant code is here:
    jpgSaveOptions = new JPEGSaveOptions();
    jpgSaveOptions.embedColorProfile = false;
    jpgSaveOptions.formatOptions = FormatOptions.STANDARDBASELINE;
    jpgSaveOptions.quality = 12;
    jpgSaveOptions.matte = MatteType.NONE;
    var jpgFile = new File(outputFolderName + "/" + fullFileName + ".jpg");
    alert("Saving as " + outputFolderName + "/" + fullFileName + ".jpg");
    exists = jpgFile.open("r");
    alert("Opened");
    docRef.saveAs(jpgFile, jpgSaveOptions, false, Extension.LOWERCASE);
    alert("Saved");
    When invoked via the droplet, it gets as far as displaying "Opened", then it conks out with error:
    "EvalError: General Photoshop error occurred. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. - Could not save as "" because the file could not be found."
    Thing is, I'm not trying to save as "" -- the filename is properly populated with a proper filename, and indeed this script works fine when invoked directly and not through a droplet.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    docRef is defined quite a while back:
    // create the new document (without EXIF) to work on, with same size, resolution etc as original.
    var docRef = app.documents.add(x, y, r, originalDocName + " copy", m, DocumentFill.TRANSPARENT);
    but I do lots of things with docRef in the meantime that don't cause any error... like:
    docRef.bitsPerChannel = b
    // turn off colour management in the new document
    docRef.colorProfileType = ColorProfile.NONE;
    // paste in the original image
    docRef.paste();
    // Assign original colour profile now
    docRef.colorProfileName = originalColourProfile;
    and loads more stuff.

  • SetupApi.dev.log error message on driver install, but driver runs fine anyway... why?

    Hello,
    I am trying to run down the cause of the following warning/error message I see in my SetupApi.Dev.log file after I install a commercially signed driver.
    !    sig:           Verifying file against specific (valid) catalog failed! (0x800b0109)
    !    sig:           Error 0x800b0109: A certificate chain processed, but terminated in a root certificate which is not trusted by the trust provider.
    I see this error against all the files in the driver package, but the driver operation has so far been just fine.
    I have checked the certificate chain for the driver (there are 3 certificates in the chain: a root, an intermediate, and the code signing certificate I purchased, all from Verisign/Symantec), and compared the root and intermediate certificates against ones
    that are already installed on the machine where I installed the driver.
    Using the MMC, I can see:
     - the root certificate is located at:         Console Root->Certificates-Current User->Trusted Root Certification Authorities->Certificate
     - the intermediate certificate is located at: Console Root->Certificates-Current User->Intermediate Certification Authorities->Certificate
     - the code signing certificate is located at: Console Root->Certificates-Current User->Trusted Publishers->Certificates
    This all seems to make sense to me for as much as I've been able to research from the MSDN, so would there be some reason why this message shows up, yet the driver seems to install and operate correctly anyway?
    I am using VS 2012 Pro on top of Windows 7 (x64) Pro SP1 to perform the driver build and code signing.
    Thanks much in advance for reading this, and for any insight/advice you might have about this.
    Geoff

    Hi Pavel, Jason, and Bryan,
    I apologize for not getting back to this sooner, I got side tracked with a different task for a few days...
    I really appreciate your looking at my problem.
    I did some more digging and contacted VeriSign/Symantec for some assistance and learned
    I had a few things set up improperly with respect to my code signing certificate.
    VeriSign pointed me to a few links to straighten out my code signing certificate's chain of trust on
    my code-signing machine, and then they also pointed me to a couple links similar to the one
    Bryan provided here for the cross-signing certificate I needed.
    The links are provided below for reference (in case somebody else can make some use of them too)
    1. Disable root cert, so my certificate's signing chain of trust shows up:
     https://knowledge.verisign.com/support/code-signing-support/index?page=content&id=SO16958&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US
    2. Get the correct intermediate certs insalled:
     https://knowledge.verisign.com/support/code-signing-support/index?page=content&id=AR1739&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US
    3. Get the correct X-signing cert from MSFT (same dert as the one Bryan provided in his link):
     https://knowledge.verisign.com/support/code-signing-support/index?page=content&id=SO16763&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US
     https://knowledge.verisign.com/support/code-signing-support/index?page=content&id=SO5820&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US
    I'm building/signing this for Release, on a Windows 7 x64 platform. I am doing this using the
    Windows 8 WDK and VS 2012 Professional. It's a nice combination, as it automates the driver
    signing process.
    My driver is a package of files, and is signed with a CAT file.
    I wanted to be sure the files were signed correctly, so I ran "signtool" over each file in the package
    to verify the signing is correct. I've included the output from one of the files here. Save the filename,
    the output is identical for each file in the package.
    The signing certificate chain shown below matches my code-signing certificate chain when I examine it
    using the MMC-certificate snap-in.
    The cross certificate chain shown below is identical to the output from the VS 2012 IDE. Note the MFST X-signing
    certificate is in this chain from step 3 above, it's the second one from the top in the chain.

    =========================================
    As best as I can tell, this follows the kernel mode signing walkthrough doc, and assuming
    VS 2012 is doing the signing correctly, the driver package should have been signed correctly.
    The problem is, I still see the same error on the target machine.
    I've tried manually installing the code signing certificate in the target's Trusted Publisher Store,
    prior to installing the driver, but this does not keep the error from showing up.
    I honestly have no clue why. If the driver package files check out OK with the signtool on the signing
    machine, I'm at a loss for why the error shows up on the machine where I'm installing the driver.
    One other thing that is different is the code signing certificate's certification path When I insepct
    it on the target machine. It appears to have a different Root and (only one) intermediate certificate.
    The Verisign folks said this is "OK" because different machines have different certificates. I'm not
    sure I'm buying this statement. Does it make sense to you guys?
    The folks at VeriSign also told me I do not need ANY of the certificates used in signing the driver to
    be installed on the target machine. Does this make sense to you guys? I'm a little skeptical about
    that assumption too, but I haven't found any information on line to confirm or negate it.
    I'm really no further along in determining why I'm getting this error on my target machines.
    Does anything here look out of place to you?
    I'm half tempted to manually sign the driver package to is there's something going on inside the VS 2012
    IDE that could be causing this.
    Again, thanks for taking your time to read this.

  • 'Unknown Error' while exporting a document as '.DOC'

    I'm using Pages '09 on a Mac Mini running OS-X Lion.  I have a 66-page document, originally a .DOC file which I modified and am trying to convert back to a .DOC file.  When I try to convert it I get a warning dialog which says: 'An Unknown Error Occurred'.
    I searched these pages and found that a number of people reported this and managed to fix it by solving some sort of problem with fonts, but I could not understand what people said they did to fix it.  So I made a duplicate of my document,  removed the last 30 pages, tried to export, got the error.  Removed the last 15 pages, etc. until I found the page which was causing the problem.
    Doing this I found two problem pages.  The first one had a style called 'Body Bullets' which was using Helvetica 10 point.  I changed it to Arial 10 point, but it did not solve the problem.  So I deleted the style and used a built-in style called 'Bullet' which I redefined to use Arial 11 point.  That worked.
    The next problem page had a small section in Arial 10-point.  I changed it to use 'Body' style (which I had defined earlier to use Arial 11-point) and now the whole document can be successfully converted to .DOC without errors.
    My question is can this be fixed or do I have to avoid using Helvetica/Arial 10-point fonts in my document?
    Thanks.
    Martin Barker.

    Hi
    Here I have no problem with these fonts :
    For Doing this I found two problem pages I used Helvetica 10.
    For The next problem page had I used Arial 10.
    I was able to export without any kind of problem.
    It would be a good idea to scan your fonts with FontBook.
    Some may be corrupted or some may be conflicting.
