Everything worked great with my blackberry pearl and then I got a new computer with WIndows Vista...I am having a tough time getting it to work.  I installed desktop 4.3 because my earlier version was causing my whole computer to turn off...now whenever I connect my BB and try to sync it says   "unkonwn error reported'   any ideas? please help

The error message indicates that the VBScript engine is not currently registered on the machine
Resolution
1.Run Command Prompt as administrator
1.1 Start menu -> All Programs-> Accessories
1.2 Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator
2. type  cd %windir%\system32 "Press Enter"
3. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll "Press Enter"
4. Reboot System and re-install program
That should do it

  • When I start my computer I get a "AppleSyncNotifier.exe Entry Point Not Found message.  I also get an error message when trying to sync with iTunes that a backup session cannot be started.  How do I fix this?

In the last few days when I start my computer, I get a box that opens with "AppleSyncNotifier.exe" Entry Point Not Found in the title.
It says:  "The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQlite3.dll.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and still get an error message when trying to sync my phone with iTunes
"iTunes could not back up iPhone ####, because a session could not be started with the iPhone."
The last time I tried to sync my phone (iPhone 3G S) with iTunes, everything seemed to freeze up at Stage 4 of the sync process.
    Any advice????

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Paste file "SQLite3.dll" to the location.
    5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

Not possible, and since the Restrictions Passcode is included with your iPhone's backup, you must restore the iPhone as a new iPhone or not from the backup.

  • Error message when trying to Sync with itunes

    Hi
I seem to get error messages when I try to sync with itunes. I have the iphone 3G. Also all my music and videos seem to have carried across, all except one, it's very odd. Latest error message reads:
"itunes could not connect with the itunes store. An unknown error occurred (11556)."
I have also an error message saying it cannot sync and error message number 0050.
    Any clues?

"itunes could not connect with the itunes store. An unknown error occurred (11556)."
This error is associated with ringtones, are you trying to sync a ringtone, purchase a ringtone...need more info...
I have also an error message saying it cannot sync and error message number 0050.
Are you on Windows XP? Is this the error message...iTunes displays -50 error message? If so, follow these directions:

  • I get "Unknown Error." when trying to re-log into the iTunes Store for Windows

My AppleID and password work when using a web browser and logging in here, but not when i try to log in through iTunes for Windows.
My events leading up to the error are below. Any suggestions for a fix/solution?
    1) "Unauthorized Computer" message when trying to play newly bought iTunes movie.
    2) Authentication Failed using AppleID
    3) Sign out completely
3a) Try to sign in, but get "Unknown Error."
    4) Uninstalled iTunes
    5) Reinstalled iTunes
    6) Login attempt: Unknown Error
    7) Tried deleting "SC Folder" from User Tips
    8) Login attempt: Unknown Error
Any thoughts on what I could do differently to get this resolved?

How I solved my UNKNOWN ERROR login issue:
I figured out that I had downloaded the 32 bit version of ITunes but I have the 64 bit version of Windows 8.    So I uninstalled the 32. and downloaded and installed the 64 bit version of ITunes and everything worked just fine.  The Windows 8 firewall was not an issue.
How to determine your version of Win 8.     Go to Control Panel, System & Security, then System and that screen shows the version.
I just brought home a new Toshiba laptop and was surprised to see that I have the 64 bit version.  But pleased that I fixed the agrivating ITunes issue.
    Good luck!

  • ITunes Unknown error (-53) when trying to sync iPhone in Windows 7

I've done a bit of googling and didn't find anything that helped.
    I have tried:
    - resetting the iPhone
    - rebooting the OS
    - the disabling power save on the USB
    - installing a new version of iTunes (9.0.3.15)
    - installing iTunes over itself (9.0.3.15)
    - installing an older version of iTunes (9.0.0.70)
The error occurs at the last stage, where iTunes says " Syncing "iPhone <name>" ".
Phone was previously sync'd with my iTunes in XP before going to 7. I did choose to sync only with the new 7 system.
The phone charges fine, and I can pull pictures off of it via Windows.
    Ideas?

    Jollyman,
to sync your photos, you have a few options.
If you have your TOP iTunes page set to "automatically" sync when logged on, it will search for the photos folder in your iTunes folder on your PC. If you have nothing in there, nothing will come out and whatever is already on your device will be synced to 'nothing' in you folder.
I find it more useful to checkmark on the top iTunes page "manage music and photos manually". This will give you a little bit more control of where and which photos/in which folder on your PC you wish to update/sync.
Once you've checkmarked it, you'll see a pop-up..."are you sure etc...it will erase blah blah blah". Click YES and APPLY (important).
Now when you click in the left sidebar on your device's name (iPod, iPhone...whatever), click on the icon itself to take you to your device's homepage. In the top menu choose PHOTOS and choose in the dropdown menu the folder where you wish to keep ALL your pics/320x480-Images/Photos/ETC. that you have made your DESTINATION folder for UPDATES. This is important, because every time you'll sync your hardware, iTunes will search for that folder to locate any new updates/additions to that folder and considers it an update/sync. So make sure you always have ALL the things in that folder that you wish to see on your iPhone/iPod or whatever you are trying to update/sync.

  • Received an unknown error -42110 when trying to sync ipod touch?

ipod touch won't sync to itunes.....and it froze up after I updated everything on it and loaded new apps.  I can't get out of the frozen state?

This alert is related to iTunes Store movie rentals and authorization issues.
Make sure you are using the most recent version of iTunes and QuickTime. They both can be downloaded free of charge.
If your iTunes is up to date, remove the SC Info folder.

  • I get error OxE80000084 when trying to sync my I Pod classic to I Tunes

I get error OxE80000084 when trying to sync my Ipod classic to iTunes, what do I do?

    Hello aztecc16,
The following articles provide some useful troubleshooting steps and information that can help get your iPod to work correctly with your computer.
iPod not recognized in My Computer and in iTunes for Windows
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1369
iPod: Appears in Windows but not in iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363
Also, while the following article is tailored for iOS devices, it does contain some further information and troubleshooting should you still be having issues getting your iPod to work with your computer.
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Install the latest version of iTunes.
    3. Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements. iOS devices require the following minimum version of Windows:
    Windows XP Service Pack 3
    Windows Vista
    Windows 7
    Windows 8
    4. Download and install any available software updates from Microsoft.5. Connect the device directly to your computer; not to an external USB hub. Find out if your computer has USB 2.0 ports.6. Check that the Dock Connector or Lightning Connector on both the device and cable are clean of any lint or other debris. If possible, connect your device using a different Apple 30-pin to USB cable or Apple Lightning Connector to USB cable.7. Disconnect other USB peripherals from your computer, with the exception of your keyboard and mouse. After disconnecting these peripherals, restart your computer, connect your device, and open iTunes.8. Connect your device to a different USB port on your computer.9. Use the Task Manager to stop some Apple Services:
    Launch the Task Manager:
For Windows XP: Press Control + alt + delete on the keyboard.
For Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8: Press Control + alt + delete on the keyboard. Then click "Start Task Manager". If Windows needs your permission to continue, click "Continue".
Click the Processes tab of the Task Manager. End each of these three processes by clicking in their names and choosing "End Process":
    iTunesHelper.exe
    AppleMobileDeviceService.exe
    iPodService.exe
After ending these processes, reboot your computer, open iTunes, and test.
    10. Connect your device to a different computer to determine whether the issue is specific to your computer.
