Hi all.
Having trouble running Joomla files in Dreamweaver CS5.
"unknown error has occurred while discovering dynamically-related files"
Setup testing server and have checked settings again and again. Localserver is XAMPP and everythig running as it should there. Am I missing a DW extention?
Would be very greatful for any pointers!

I have made so many changes to settings meanwhile and become so fustrated that i´m not sure what triggered it to work anymore.
In anycase I enjoyed my day here in Adobe Forums. I did alot of reading (alot!) and would like to say thanks to SnakEyez again aswell as thanks to all the other users I have taken notes from.
here are the settings I have ended up with:
- Joomla1.6 installed in c:xampp/htdocs/ (no subfolders)
- local site folder and testing server folder are C:\xampp\htdocs\. (settings phpmysql and testing server applied)
- site specific code hints: joomla
- windows firewall disabled / zonealarm shutdown (creating program rule and opening port did not work)
- unchecked "use alternative port 80" in skype (dnt forget to restart)
I could install and run Joomla in localhost before, but couldn´t open in DW until making these changes.
Dreamweaver CS5 and xampp-win32-1.7.4

This is my first attempt building a wordpress site using Dreamweaver and it's been nothing but unsuccessful.
I have downloaded and reinstalled Wordpress and Mamp at least 7 times, and even followed Lynda.com (Dreamweaver and Wordpress: Core Concepts) tutorials to ensure my testing server was executed properly, but I still can't resolve "an unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files. Retry". I've rebooted my computer a handful of times and made sure I ran programs in a systematic order, but nothing. I'm running CS5 on a Mac.
As you can see from the first image, I have the error highlighted in yellow. Below I've added pictures from all the essential settings site setup in hopes I made a mistake and someone will catch it. PLEASE help me resolve this issue. I am so frustrated that I can't figure this silly problem out...

I looked through both articles again, and in both he notes that if you're using MAMP default ports, it's necessary to reference :8888. I am using the defaults and have included :8888 for that reason.
"Note: If you are using MAMP on Mac OS X, and decided to use the MAMP default ports, change the value of Web URL to http://localhost:8888/check_php/. Adding :8888 is necessary only if you're not using the Apache and MySQL defaults."
In any case, I've tried changing my ports to 80 and 3306, not including the :8888 in the URL, and I didn't get different results. For that reason I just returned to the MAMP default settings...

DW/WordPress "An unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files"

I am trying to set up Dreamweaver CC 2014 to work with my WordPress 4.0 site on the remote server where it is installed. Server access is fine, tests ok, files all listed and synchronize no problem. But whenever I try to discover dynamically related files I get "An unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files". What's going on? (Permalinks are set to default btw)

Easily fixed! I just discovered that under my server settings I had both "Remote" and "Testing" ticked. I unticked "Remote" and it works fine. Only tick "Testing".

An unknown error has occured while saving to .ai file

After reading through tons of topics about "An unknown error has occured" I still can't find any suitable sollution for the problem.
So, my observations are:
I have both 32- and 64-bit versions of Adobe Illustrator CS6
The error occurs only with the 64-bit version,
The error occurs only when saving files containing text objects.
Unchecking "Create PDF Compatible File" doesn't solve the problem.
Reseting Illustrator's settings also doesn't help.
If somebody has solved this problem, please help. It's pretty much time taking switching between the two versions and I also have files pretty big enough that require opening in the 64 bit version.

I have the same error, I'm working with Illustrator CC on my MacBook Pro Retina 15" (late 2012 model) with OS X Yosemite, my video card is NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.
Earlier I haven't any problem with illustrator, but now I have. Help ma please.

The above error is there if i press livew view or inspect
FTP works and is ok.
Same sample as before (php_test.php) like in a post from David Powers.
What is the reason for this unnomaly?.

Thanks for your response Jeff, you've pushed me in the right direction and now my problem is solved.
What I didn't realise was that I had to have a valid test server setup for this to work (I just had an empty folder on a server).
So I've installed and setup the site locally using WAMP and now the files are all correctly discovered.
Not sure this will help you all, but hopefully, what Jeff as said will get you going soon.

Tried previous suggestions about purging the Camera Raw Cache and I raised it to 20.0 GB.
Still lightroom fails to read most of the videos that I create on my iPhone 6 plus.
Aperture, iMovie, and Image Capture have no problem with these files.

This is an iPhoto problem. It is, IMHO, one of the worst photo/video programs ever thought up by any company.
I suggest you find your original video files, which won't contain any edits and or adjustment you have made in iPhoto, and copy them to some other folder on your drive that you create and then import them to LR.
Usually iPhoto stores all original image and video files in a folder called Masters buried deep inside the iPhoto Photolibrary package folder. Which makes almost impossible for any normal computer user to get to.
Next time you are in the market for a new computer think long and hard before you drink the Apple Mac Cool-aid.

MS Project 2010 - An unknown error has occurred while syncing to a SharePoint site.

Dear all,
I encountered a generic error when using MS Project 2010 to sync with our SharePoint 2013 on-premise. I want to clarify is it default behaviour or a bug.
When I start MS Project 2010 professional from new -> sync to Sharepoint by type in URL and the list name. I can create a new project list successfully. I have verified the tasks are sync to the Sharepoint and I am able to see them listed on site.
After sync, I save the Ms Project document to local computer. Named test1.mpp. Then I close MS Project. Then open test1.mpp again and then sync immediately. This time an error show up:
An unknown error has occurred while syncing to a SharePoint site. Ensure the SharePoint site is running and try again
Since I didn't add anything to the mpp file, I believe it doesn't contain any invalid data blocking the sync. What would be the problem? Thanks.

No, I didn't. I just fill the site path like:
http://sharepoint.com/sites/Project/
and then the List field:
ProjectA
I want to clarify the sequence should be:

Hi all, hoping someone can help:
When trying to update apps in the App store, after being prompted to log into the app store, I get the error message "An unknown error has occurred" in red. I've tried restarting (the app and my mac) clearing the cache, and my firewall is not on. I am able to sign in to the the Itunes store, but cannot sign in at all to the App store. Any insights? Thanks!

Make sure you are signed out of iTunes before signing in to the Mac App Store.
And try deleting App Store pref file..
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.appstore.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and try the App Store.

"An unknown error has occurred" while trying to manage my AppleID

Hi,
When I try to manage my Apple ID I get a message "An unknown error gas occurred". Here's what I do:
I type my Apple ID details
Then I choose my IPhone to verify my identity (two step verification)
I confirm and it tells me about an error.
I am given the option to manage my Apple ID.
When I click the button to do this, I am prompted to type in my login details again
When I type my login details once again I got unknown error again
When I try to contact Apple Support I get :
We’re Sorry.
We’re unable to complete your request. Please try again.
What's going on today? I tried both on my Macbook Air and IPhone and it's the same.

Discovering dynamically-related files

I have a site that I imported to make some design changes.
When I click on a page, I get this bar along the top which says
This page may have dynamically-related files that can only be discovered by the server.
There are two options, Discover and Preferences
I left Preferences as default because I do not know what to set
When I click Discover, I get - An unknown error occurred while discovering dynamically-related files Retry
but it doesn't say what the error is or how to repair it.

We are using a two tier architecture.
Our Corp server calls the refinery server.
Our CORP MII server uses user id abc_user to connect to the refinery data server.
The user id abc_user has the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role.
The data server also has the checkbox for allow dynamic query enabled.
But we are still getting the following error
Error has occurred while processing data stream
Dynamic Query role is not assigned to the Data Server; Use query template
Once we add the SAP_xMII_Dynamic_Query role to the data server everything works fine. Is this feature by design ?

I thought that just adding the role to the user and enabling the dynamic query checkbox on the data server should work.
But we even needed to add the role to the data server.

I have started receiving this error in the logs for the last 10 days and the Schedules Jobs for the database have stopped running. My MS CRM application is working fine.
Can anyone guide me what could be the problem.
