  • Unknown error in iTunes Store 11222

For the past couple of days when I've tried to sync my iPod, I've been getting a message "cannot connect to iTunes Store. Check your network connection and try again." Network connection checked. Even ran iTunes diagnostics to confirm that my iTunes was on the net. Passed with flying colors--even said that my iTunes was connected to the Store! But when I tried to connect, got the same message the first time, then on the second click received "unknown error in iTunes store 11222." I need some help here, or the iTune Store techs need to fix a problem. . .

I got my daughter a brand new Ipod today and was forced to download ITunes V8, and ran into this error. I have spent the better part of christmas trying to get this to work without luck. I have renamed the host file, cleared dns, updated my firewall to assure that itunes is clear to communicate, assured that I don't have proxy server set, etc. I had Version 7 and never had any problems. This thing doesn't do me much good if I cannot purchase music, and it seems this problem has been going on for a while since I see posting from October. I can access any website that I want outside the Itunes application, so it isn't my web connection....any thoughts.

how fix unknown error 3 itunes? please help

    This worked for me yesterday.
Earlier iTunes (and supporting applications) need to be completely uninstalled before you can install the new version. Here's the complete Apple info on this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Mobile device application will most likely fail to uninstall, so you would need to visit its location(s) and manually delete the files then folder(s). The location of the folders is documented in this link from Apple.

Within itunes if you select the menu item 'Help > Check For Updates' can you tell me the message that is displayed.  I get message 'the itunes update server could not be contacted.  Please check your internet connection, or try again later'.

  • Unknown error -45054 iTunes

I'm opening iTunes 11.1.1 and am getting an error message that says "an unknown error occurred (-45054). I can click the OK button and the message goes away allowing me to use iTunes like normal. So, I updated to iTunes 11.1.2 and the same message comes up, but when I hit the OK button, iTunes quits. I then re-installed iTunes 11.1.1 to at least allow it to be useable. The laptop (a MacBook running 10.6.8) had the firewall turned on in the Security Pane, but I turned it off to no avail. Does anyone know of a kb article about that error number? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Solved it by repairing disk permissions. Learned that from this thread:

I too have this issue. I get the same message. Plus it states as well There was an error in iTunes Store. Please try again later. Guess I should not have upgraded to the 7.2, the other version worked fine.

  • Unknown error in iTunes 11556.

I want to make a new ringtone but when I click on "create a Ringtone" I get a message "cannot connect to iTunes Store. Check your network connection and try again" a unknown error was found (11556)
    please help me

If you have any Norton software on your computer it is most likely blocking access to the store.
Go to your firewall settings, delete itunes, then allow it again.
Once you have saved the changes to your firewall you should be able to access the store. You may have to close itunes then reopen it.

  • Unknown error from iTunes: E800005E

I just installed IOS 5 on my iPhone 4 using iTunes.  When trying to configure the phone and attempted to sync back to the laptop, I get the above error.

This happened to me as well, however my error was slightly diffrent being "0xE800065" I looked around on the Internet, and this is consistant with Jailbroken phones, although mine is not.
Try restarting your computer, and making sure that only your phone is plugged in, and only iTunes is running. Also make sure that your computer is also runnning with all the latest updates.

  • I got unknown error 21 on iTunes when I try to restore my Ipad2

It all started when I was deleting an e-mail (from an uknown adress), then Mail was closing and I went back to my homescreen.
Suddenly I see that all my purchased apps where gone, only shortcuts to Safari and the original Apple programs were in place.
Then I tried to push the home and the power button to restart the device, it turns back on again without any affect.
I connect my Ipad to the Mac Pro running OSX 10.6.8. and open iTunes, then I tried to recover a safety copy from the list, without any luck.
The result of this ends with a device showing just the Apple logo a while, and then the iTunes wire.
The problem with showing "unknown error 21" in iTunes seems to be a usual Windows third-party issue, but I`m running it on a Mac.
I tried all basic steps in the Apple support, but it still came back with the message: "detected iPad in recovery mode...you will have to restore it before it can be used with iTune", and then a message that tells me the Ipad device can not me restored, unknown error 21.
I have no firewall, the time is correct, I`m running the latest iTunes version 10.6.1, I can connect to the iTunes store and it looks okey.
I connected the original 30-pins connector on the back, unpluging all other USB-devices, I checked this and several other things, but I just can`t get it to work.
Before it turned into this "Brick" I noticed that the indication on used memory for programs (green) went down to zero,
and "other" (yellow) were the biggest area ( app.14 GB )
