Unknown error occurred (-42408)

I keep getting "An unknown error occurred (-42408)" when I launch iTunes and it won't sync my iPhone it just keeps saying "Waiting to sync" and eventually it gives me the same error and says the iPhone cannot sync.. Even when no device is plugged in to the computer, that error always shows up when I open iTunes. I don't know why it started happening all of the sudden but I read on the Apple support page that I need to deauthorize then authorize again so I signed into my account on iTunes Store and deathauorized all computers and opened iTunes again and still the same error comes up and it won't let me authorize anymore, same error keeps coming up. I tried everything possible.
I deleted iTunes the right way then downgraded to iTunes 10.5.2 and stll no luck. I even restored my mac and once I updated my iTunes to 10.6 it gave me the same error again. I'm confused because I even restored my mac and that error keeps coming up? I'm on 10.5.8 Leopard so that shouldn't be an issue with that version of iTunes.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

I've done a search on here and haven't found any solutions posted for it for windows computers. You could try posting in the iTunes For Windows forum and see if you get any suggestions in there (are you able to download other items from the store e.g. a free app ?) - I use a Mac, the only things that I could think of to suggest trying is see if you get the same error on a different iTunes library :
creating and/or opening a different iTunes library : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589
or using a different user account on your computer in case it's a problem with that user account.
But you may want to try the iTunes For Windows forum first, apart from anything else you are likely to get better help for the above

When syncing my iPod for the last month I receive the following message:
Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod because you are not authorized to play them on this computer.
When I attempt to authorize (or even deauthorize) my computer (mind you I have authorized it previously for this account) I receive this error message:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request.
An unknown error occurred (-42408).
There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.

Yes, this keeps happening to me. I reset the password, I get a message that it is confirmed, and it happens again. It is extremely annoying that every time I do a tiny upgrade for itunes, I keep getting asked to reauthorize songs I paid for, dig up the passwords on multiple email accounts, and then find that even with the correct password, I still get error messages. Ridiculous!

The 42408 can be produced by trouble with the SC Info folder. Try removing the SC Info folder as per the instructions in the Remove the SC Info folder section of the following troubleshooting document:

How can you get your music synced from iTunes to your iPod when a window pop ups on the screen saying"The iPod "Edward's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019))?

I had 429 songs already on my iPod Touch. When I was in the process of syncing a song from my iTunes Library on to my iPod, a window popped up on the screen saying, ""The iPod "Edward's iPod" cannot be synced. An unknown error occured (13019)). I click "Device" on my iTunes Library to make sure the song was in my iPod. It showed the song that was recently synced now listed under "Device", but when I physically looked for the song on my iPod Touch, it does not appear on there at all. It all started when I decided to put a Playlist I created in the iTunes Library and transferred it on to my iPod. Do you know why it may affected my syncing process and is there any way where I could get the syncing function back to normal so that I can continue adding songs on my iPod? Thank you for listening. P.S. My iPod iOS version is 4.3.5.
