Unknown error occurred (-9813) ???????   HELP!!!!!!!

I purchased an nano 2 years abo for my wife.
She still this day hasn't been able to log on to ITunes.
We (She) can log in on MY LAPTOP and purchase music but she can not on HERS.
I would love it if she could log on and purchase her own music instead of me purchasing everything for her.
When SHE tries to log on with her IBook G4 it responds with an error of..
ITunes could not connect to the ITunes store.
An unknown error has occurred (-9813)
Make sure your network connection is active and try again.
Please make my wife very happy with an answer to this problem I've had for 2 years.

I sometimes get this reply as well. I assume it is when the store is down for some reason or when a secure connection can not be made. I thought it might be something in the iTunes program and restarted my computer, but that did not solve the problem for me, so who knows.

  • An Unknown Error Occurred (-9813)

Everytime I try to use the iTunes store on my Powerbook G4 I receive the following error:
"We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred (-9813). There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later"
I have received this error ever since iTunes was updated to version 7. I have just downloaded the latest version via Apple Software Update, but still no fix. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    hi calliope,
sorry, but that didn't work either.
after doing a little googling, i'm still convinced that my problem has to do with security certificates in keychain, and that i'm lacking the right one. i remember a few months ago i went on a strange certificate-deleting spree in an attempt to clean out keychain to correct some other problem--i was somehow able to re-install the right certificates, but maybe i didn't install the right one?
anyhow, i don't have my OS X cd with me, but the next time i have it i will try an "archive & install."
unless you have some other tips, or know where i can get the right certificate!

  • An unknown error occurred (13014) - help?

    Hi
After a crash whilst syncing my 120 GB iPod Classic the other night (on a 1.25 GHz eMac running OS X 10.5.8) I now get a message saying 'The iPod 'Xxxxx' cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (13014).'.
The iPod plays songs, scrobbles, syncs podcasts and allows songs to be transferred onto it - but Genius no longer works, and that was the main reason I bought a new 120 GB iPod instead of a 160 GB one.
After Googling Apple's advice on what to do with that error code (which seems to be all about iPhones rather than iPods) I'm no closer to a solution, and am concerned a restore may be needed.
I manually manage the iPod, due to my library being about 160 GB, so would love to know if there is either a way of fixing the error, or a way of setting the contents of the 'Pod as a playlist, or somesuch, so I can reset the iPod and just re-copy the tracks (about 107 GB worth) onto it simply, rather than having to manually select 18,000-odd songs.
Is there a way I can do this, or some other solution to this problem?
    Thanks for reading.

I'm having the same problem with my 160GB iPod. I haven't upgraded to Snow Leopard yet. I tried rebooting the computer, and tried updating iTunes. Neither worked -- still getting the message. I do have my iPod synced to iTunes but would like to avoid having to wipe the iPod & start over as it'll take forever given the size of my library. Anyone found a solution other than nuking the iPod?

  • HT201263 iPhone 4 is in recovery mode but iTunes can not restore it.. Says unknown error occurred  (21) HELP!

I've just got back of holiday and while there my phone decided to turn itself off, it would not come back on unless I plugged it into the wall charger, it said that I had to connect it to iTunes, but being on holiday I couldn't.
So when I got home yesterday I plugged it into my laptop and the Apple logo came on, and then went off again, then back on and off again, it was doing this untill I unplugged it. So I put it into recovery mode and it said Connect to iTunes, so I did. It then said that the phone needed to be restored, iTunes started this process, 'extracting software' it said, and then once that was done it said 'preparing iPhone for restore' but then my phone disconnects itself from the laptop and then connects again then disconnects again. Then iTunes comes up with a message saying 'iTunes can not restore this iPhone 'iPhone', a unkown error occured (21)'
I have tried over and over again to try and do this but it keeps coming up with the same.
Does anyone know what's wrong with my iPhone and how I can fix it?
    Thanks

And what did the error message say?
