Unknown "Failed to initialize" message on boot-up

When I reboot my MacPro 12-core with 10.6.8, I receive an unknown dialog displaying an icon and "Failed to initialize". This started happening recently, and there is no identifier as to what is failing to initialize, and I cannot find any references to this particular icon anywhere, or guess what it is.
If anyone has a clue what this is, or how I could track down what it is, I'd appreciate it!

You can try the link below and download and install Dreamweaver CS6.
During the installation process you would need to select the option to insert Serial number to authenticate.
Download CS6 products
Select relevant file as per your operating system.

How do I resolve "Installation failed to Initialize" message?

I've used Adobe products for over 20 years. Now I'm truly stuck, and live chat hasn't been helpful at all (no responses to my questions, just instructions ignoring what I'm saying, which is basically that I tried all the suggestions/instructions already, and they didn't work). My OS is Windows 7, Home Professional. I purchased CS5.5 Design Premium on a CD and attempted to install it. The CD seemed to work; the installation started. Then nothing happened for over an hour, so I cancelled the installation and rebooted my machine. Now when I try to install, I receive a message saying that the "Installation failed to initialize" and that I must clink on the link for Support Advisor. When I do this, the Manager finds no errors. I can't find installation logs. Live chat suggested that I change the ODBE (or something like that) file to "old" and then try again. This didn't work. I downloaded the Application Manager. This didn't help, either. Copying the contents of the CD to the desktop didn't get better results. Live chat suggested that I download the trial version and then attempt to use my legitimate serial number. I said this probably wouldn't work either, because the issues from the first CD attempt hadn't been resolved. Nine hours later the trial version finished downloading, and after all that, I got the same failure to initialize message. I replied to my "case file", and, so help me, the same customer rep responded, telling me to download the trial version. In other words, he completely ignored the fact that I'd tried and it didn't work. I've looked on the forum, and there was a discussion about this "failure to initialize", but the discussion was completely in German, which doesn't help me at all. I'm hoping that someone on this forum can help me through this process; this software is mega expensive and should come with better support.

My state of mind was such that I didn't dare post any updates until I'd made sure that each component of CS5.5 actually worked. Eureka! Using the new administration account, I was able to get the CD to install the software in less than an hour...which does tell me that there was a problem all along with the first attempt which hung for over an hour. I still don't know what is wrong with the rights on the current account, because I haven't had a problem installing other software, so I don't know how helpful this will be to someone in the future who encounters the same "failed to initialize" message and goes searching through this form for answers.
Other notes...I did disable all other running programs; didn't do the modified mode this time, though that had been a previous attempt which didn't work (perhaps because I didn't remove some of the files, such as the cache, or rename the ODBE file -- you know more about this than I do). This was part of the frustration with the live chat experience; there was never an identification of the errors (I didn't know about the logs in the temp file, and apparently neither did the live chatter), so we just kept trying and trying without making other changes that I thought should have been addressed before we continued the attempts to install. I did state this many times, but my comments were ignored.
As per my concern, built upon a comment by a live chatter -- that I couldn't switch between the two administration accounts--, it wasn't a problem, at least in my version of Windows. I went to the shut-down button, selected the arrow to the right, and the first option that appeared in the fly-out panel was "switch users". Completely not a problem.
For anyone else who encounters the same frustrations that I did, I'd strongly recommend communicating with Jeff...don't know how to thank him enough for helping restore whatever is left of my sanity. Thank you so much, Jeff. Sounds so trite to say that I appreciate your help; I'm an editor, but I'm at a loss for words that will convey the depth of my gratitude. Now I can address all those projects that have been backlogged while I've fought with the installation.

I get a "failed to initialize" message when I try to download Reader XI

I'm running windows XP SP3, after opening any pdf doc my computer would lock up. I uninstalled my current version and tried to download the most recent version. no mater what I tried I would get the same "failed to initialize" message. I've disabled AVG, tried using Mozilla and IE8, uninstalled Flash Player all with the same results. What else can I try?

"Citrix ShareFile Sync engine failed to initialize" message

Why have I suddenly started receiving a message stating: "Citrix ShareFile Sync engine failed to initialize" EVERY TIME I boot up either my Mac mini or my MacBook Pro?

I had the same issue after updating from 10.8.6 to 10.10.1. I used spotlight to search for "ShareFile Sync" and an uninstaller application for ShareFile Sync came up. I ran that and haven't had the problem since.

Quicktime fails to initialize message

Every time I try to launch Itunes after reinstalling due to a series of freezes I get"QuickTime failed to initialize (error -2096) , it then suggests uninstalling and reinstalling ITunes. I have and get the same message, even though I can launch quicktime seperatly.

2096s can be caused by compatibility mode settings on either iTunes or QuickTime.
First check the compatibility mode settings on your QuickTime (if you've got a *64-bit Windows 7* the QuickTime program files will be down in the *Program files (x86)* directory rather than in Program files):

... and if no luck there, check your iTunes compatibility mode tab (make sure none of the boxes are checked in there ... if you've got a *64-bit Windows 7* the relevant iTunes program files for you will again be in Program Files (x86) rather than in Program files):

"Failed to initialize" messages

Hello
I'm trying to run a midlet from my Wireless Toolkit 2.2 device but it takes forever for my application to strat because the toolkit is trying to initialize WMA and bluetooth. I get the following messages:
Warning: Failed to initialize WMA message routing support
Warning: Failed to initialize Bluetooth (JSR 82) support
I started getting this warnings only a couple a days ago. Until then, it worked just fine.
How can I get rid of this?

Going to need a Lot more info to be of any assistance. As Sig said what OS is running in Fusion. What version of Fusion. What version of QB. Did it ever run. Do you have the network setup in the Fusion OS. Have you installed VMware Tools.

After updating Firefox I now get a 'failed to initialize' message when I open it.

I have used Firefox for 2 years with no issues. This morning it asked to perform updates and now will not open. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it twice. I have tried to open it on a different user with the same result.

CS5 Master Collection error: Installer failed to initialize, help?

When I first opened the CS5 installer, it worked perfectly, except my computer crash halfway through the installation. Now whenever I try to install an application, when I open the Adobe Installer, once it finishes Initializing the installer, I immediately get the "Installer failed to initialize" message. How do I fix this?

Run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and clean out the temporary files created during install in your temp directory. Additioanlly, check your task manager and terminate any rampant instances of setup.exe and msiexec.exe that may stil lbe running.

Photoshop CS6 Trial "Installer Failed To Initialize" on Vista. Please help I have read other posts!

I've read through countless posts on different sites and still can't find a fix to this. I've been having a hard time trying to figure out what advice actually applies to me. After extracting all the files and I run the setup I get about 75% through before I get the Installer failed to initialize message. After looking at the PDapp data It seems clear what the problem is, but I have no idea how to fix it. The fatal/error messages are as follows:
[FATAL] Setup - Adobe Application Manager executable does not exist at the location: C:\Users\Tanner\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDApp.exe

first thing to do is to re-download ps cs6 in case your dl was corrupted.
if you have no other cs6 programs installed, run the cleaner before trying to re-install: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

Installer failed to initialize - Mac 10.9.2

In trying to install CS6 Design & Web Premium from the original disk onto a new MacBook Pro I get the dreaded Installer Failed to Initialize message. The Support Advisor could not identify any issues. I was able to install Lightroom 5 from it's disk.
I know there have been a number of posts on the Installer Failed to Initialize but I could not find one that would help me. Is it possible to download a new installer?

Installer fails to initialize

I am try ng to reinstall Adobe CS5.1 Photoshop. Set-up fails to initialize. I find no InPriogress key in my registry under Session Manager. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Session Manager. When I run the installer again, I get the "restart pendng" message. If I restart, and run the program again, I get the "installer failed to initialize" message. Any ideas?

I just installed build 69 on a Sun Blade 1500.
I tried setting up a zone called myzone using the following configuration

When I try to a zoneadm -z myzone boot I get the following error message

The system is as follows:
Size of .pst file: 2.3 GB (Unicode format so there should be plenty of space left)
OS: Windows 7 (64-Bit)
Application: Outlook 2013 (32-Bit)
The user upgraded from Outlook 2010 a few months ago and the error message has only recently started appearing on startup. I thought it was a corrupt mail profile, so I have already tried creating a new mail profile, as well as the repairing tool in Outlook.
I even tested another email account and that worked just fine. So apparently it is something wrong with the specific user's account/profile and not something wrong with the computer - since my email account worked fine on his computer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same error message, only in my situation Outlook would only open successfully every 4 or 5 attempts. When Outlook would open (versus just hanging at the splash screen), I would get two dialog boxes with the warning/error message.
After I clicked okay I could get into Outlook.
Previously I experienced this problem running my Office 2010 client with my Exchange 2007 mailbox on my old laptop. The problem followed my mailbox through an Exchange 2010 migration (so new Exchange org), client upgrade to Outlook 2013, and a new
laptop (so I knew it wasn't a corrupt profile). This led me to the conclusion that it was a corrupt item(s) in my mailbox.
To resolve the issue, I archived *everything* in my mailbox to a PST file, ran SCANPST to fix the corruption, and then uploaded everything back into my Exchange mailbox one folder at a time, stopping after each folder to close and restart Outlook so I could
narrow down which folder had the corrupt item if the problem recurred. I'm happy to say my issue is now resolved.
