Unknown host or domain for exotic domain

Hello,
We are running this version :
Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-6.03 (built Mar 14 2008; 32bit)
libimta.so 6.3-6.03 (built 17:12:37, Mar 14 2008; 32bit)
When we try to send a mail for all +.me+ domain we have : +550 5.1.2 unknown host or domain: [email protected]+
We have this problem with this address for example : [email protected]
The dns resolution seems good on the server :
Non-authoritative answer:
ac.me   preference = 10, mail exchanger = mail.ac.me
Authoritative answers can be found from:
ac.me   nameserver = ns.ac.me
ac.me   nameserver = ns2.ac.me
mail.ac.me      internet address = 89.188.43.10
Is there a filter for some domains in any config file or an invalid domain list compiled in the binary ?
I don't have tried all the domain but it seems that we have the same problem with the +.cat+ domain.
Thank you

Known email domains are listed in the <msg_base>/config/internet.rules file.
The ".me" domain was added to the file in MS6.3 patch 30 and above. I suggest you use this as an opportunity to patch your system to the latest patch release.
I don't have tried all the domain but it seems that we have the same problem with the +.cat+ domain.The ".cat" domain was added to the file over three years ago.

Shane.

  • How can I set up SSL login authentication on one domain for multiple domains

    Our site currently runs in 22 countries with 22 different
    country domains:
    www.mysite.com
    www.mysite.co.uk
    www.mysite.fr
    etc
    We want to use SSL on our login pages but realise that the
    cost of certification for every domain is expensive. One solution
    would be to channel all login activity to a single domain, eg:
    www.mysite.com/login.cfm?site=fr which would then redirect to
    www.mysite.fr – this is how Google do it
    But, currently we are using encrypted cookies for login
    authentication so we would have the problem of having to transfer
    the cookie info across domains securely. Is there any way of going
    about this?
    Any other suggestions would be great, too. We do plan to move
    to session management for logins but this is a longer term project
    so we are hoping to sort out the SSL prior to that.

    Can you not pass the values you need as URL parameters?
    Encrypt them befor you send them and then decrypt them on the new
    domain. Then add them to whatever place you need (cookie, session,
    etc.)?

    You can also address both RAC nodes in your SQLDeveloper connection.
    Open the connection properties and select "Advanced" as "Connection Type".
    Use the following type of JDBC URL:

  • Externally Hosted DNS - How do I set up my 2003 DNS server for sub domain to point to internal IP address??

    I have a domain name(domain.com) DNS hosted at my ISP. I also have 3 sub domains DNS hosted at the same ISP pointing to various external ip addresses (mail.domain.com, vpn.domain.com and ts.domain.com). We want to set up sales.domain.com to point to an
    internal 10. IP address. We have AD integrated DNS servers for our 2003 AD domain. The AD domain name is totally different than the hosted domain name in question. I currently edit the host file for a couple of PC's but this isnt practical company wide so
    I want to add entries on our internal AD DNS servers to resolve the locally hosted site. If i recall, someone once told me that you cannot just put an A record for one sub domain, I would have to have entries on my 2003 DNS server to resolve anything related
    to the domain.com name. Is this accurate? If so, what is the proper way to configure my 2003 AD DNS server to resolve anything domain.com related for my internal users while still allowing my ISP to do the DNS lookup for the internet.

    On my 2003 AD integrated DNS server...i rightclick forward lookup zone and choose...new zone..primary zone (store zone in AD checkbox checked)..i chose to all DNS servers in the AD domain for replication...zone name sales.domain.com....allow secure updates
    option....then i added an A record in that zone...sales.domain.com..pointed that towards my internal 10. IP address...is this correct? It seems to be working correctly for the sales.domain.com DNS record...and i tested the other sub domains...and those look
    like they are going to my ISP for DNS resolution...
    Is this the correct procedure? I did this on a test AD domain and not my production...i want to make sure i dont break everything under the domain.com by incorrectly adding 1 sub domain..

  • Multiple destination hosts in route.cfg for single domain

    GW 8.0.2
    We have route.cfg set up to send mail for some destination domains direct instead of through the default relay.
    One of the destination domains we want to add to route.cfg has multiple MX hosts they can receive mail on.
    Is it possible to add multiple host IP addresses for a single destination domain in route.cfg?
    for example:
    abc.com has mail receivers with MX records:
    abc.com 3600 IN MX 9 10.0.0.25
    abc.com 3600 IN MX 2 10.0.1.25
    abc.com 3600 IN MX 2 10.0.2.25
    abc.com 3600 IN MX 9 10.0.3.25
    - is there a way to put all those into route.cfg for abc.com for resilience?
    As I've read that route.cfg works in a similar manner to the hosts file, would a space separted list of IP addresses work?

    You get to list one and only one entry. No load balancing, no failover.

  • DNS Host (A) Rec. is Static for new Domain Controller

    I was just questioned by my boss on why there are Static Host (A) records for Domain Controllers since I started and not before.  The only conclusion that I can come up with is that they are new Server 2008 R2 systems.  We are about to do an IP
    Renumber here at the Corporate Office and this is how it was found that there are these Host (A) records.
    Can someone explain to me why they are static and not dynamic now?  I would also like to be pointed to some documentation so that I can present it to her if possible?

    This is by design.

  • Host my Domain for a low cost? and use DSL to 'send' messages...How?

    How does one get a DOMAIN plus 2 - 5 email addesses 'hosted at a very low yearly cost?
    I looked at technopagan's list of Dynamic DNS providers... did not see my provider (ATT - DSL) on it.
    IF I could afford such an ISP, I could RECEIVE all mail there (but continue to SEND mail thru DSL ,,, since they demand that I do !)
    Now, I do have a "free" ISP that does the above... (receive mail ONLY... send out via ATT-DSL); but I may lose it soon then I have to CHANGE email addresses etc etc over to ATT DSL... don't want that. I want a more 'permanent' change ... and maybe with my own domain and email address(es) that stay with me.
    Kappy DID answer my last post but it got "lost" on an Apple server somewhere...

  • Send connector with smart host redirection for particular domain

    Hello,
    We have quite big environment with Ex2007 CCR cluster with 2x CAS/HUB and 2x Edge servers with few accepted authoritative domains for several countries. Currently all mails from these are routed through one send connector.
    We're moving to a different mail filtering service and I wanted to setup one of our domains to send through the new service to get it all setup and working correctly before moving the other domains over to it.
    So i have configured dedicated new custom send connector ( in accordance with techent article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998814%28v=exchg.80%29.aspx) for one of our domains let's say contoso.com with priority 1, and in next step i have
    entered smart host ip's and at the end source servers (2x edge servers).
    I have spotted that mail would still not send through my new send connector for those with email addresses with that domain. I turned on verbose logging but still all emails are not going through new connector. I checked that changes were replicated succesfully
    on Edge servers and I restarted  on Cas/Hub machines "EdgeSync" service but still no luck.
    Please help me did I forgot to check/change something?

    Let me be sure I understand how you have your new send connector configured, so I don't give you the wrong information.  You said you configured the new send connector with the contoso.com email domain.  From how you said it, though ("one of
    our domains"), it appears that email domain is one of your internal email domains.  If this is the case, this is why this send connector isn't being used - the send connector will send only to those email domains listed in the address
    space tab.  If I am right, it will never send to any external recipients with an contoso.com email address - those mailboxes are internal.  If you have an external SMTP domain in that list (such as hotmail.com), you should see messages sent to recipients
    on that system through this connector.
    If I am not right in how I read your posting, let me know so we can figure out how to get your send connector working properly.

  • One IP for Multiple Domains

    Hi,
    I have installed a DB and a Glassfish on one server. The server should handle 3 domains and only one IP address available which points to this server, each domain has its own Oracle APEX application.
    www.d1.com >>> One IP Address >>> APEX Application1
    www.d2.com >>> One IP Address >>> APEX Application2
    www.d3.com >>> One IP Address >>> APEX Application3
    How can I implement this?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I actually had the same problem: I have one oracle instance (11gXE2) with Glassfish and the APEX Listener. I'm hosting different applications (in different workspaces) on this instance. The whole configuration is accessible by one fixed IP adres from the internet. I further have several domains (and sub-domains) mapped to this one IP. To ensure that a request for www.d1.com is routed to Application1 and www.d2.com to Application2 I wrote a smal plsql-"proxy (or multiplexer) using the OWA_UTIL.get_cgi_env ('HOST') variable to determine the requested domain and then redirect to an application that belongs to it.
    The configuration I have stored in a table, for matching I use LIKE patterns:
    Table for my "proxy":
    {code}
    CREATE TABLE "PROXY_RULES"
    (     "ID" NUMBER,
         "SEQ" NUMBER,
         "HOST_PATTERN" VARCHAR2(1000),
         "REDIR_URL" VARCHAR2(1000),
         CONSTRAINT "PROXY_RULES_PK" PRIMARY KEY ("ID") ENABLE
    {code}
    filling for your example:
    {code}
    ID SEQ HOST_PATTERN REDIR_URL
    1 5 %.d1.com http://www.d1.com/apex/f?p=App1:Home:0
    3 10 %.d2.com http://www.d1.com/apex/f?p=App2
    2 15 %.d3.com http://www.d1.com/apex/f?p=App3:1:0
    0 99 % http://www.d1.com/apex/f?p=App1:Home:0
    {code}
    and the actual procedure to redirect calls:
    {code}
    PROCEDURE redirect IS
    t_host varchar2 (250);
    t_redir varchar2 (250);
    BEGIN
    t_host := OWA_UTIL.get_cgi_env ('host');
    SELECT redir_url
    INTO t_redir
    FROM (SELECT redir_url
    FROM proxy_rules
    WHERE UPPER (t_host) LIKE UPPER (host_pattern)
    ORDER BY seq, id)
    WHERE ROWNUM < 2;
    OWA_UTIL.redirect_url (curl => t_redir, bclose_header => TRUE);
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS
    THEN
    OWA_UTIL.redirect_url (curl => 'http://www.d1.com', bclose_header => TRUE);
    END redirect;
    {code}
    Grant execute on this procedure to the APEX_PUBLIC_USER, create a public synonym on it and make sure all requests without a path get redirected to it, for example with a simple index.html containing a redirect to "/apex/redirect":
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=/apex/redirect">
    This works fine, but doesn't check that App2 is accessed through www.d1.com. I still have to add this functionality.
    I'm using the method on my sites [url http://www.rokit.nl]rokit.nl, [url http://www.fifapex.net]www.fifapex.net, [url http://m.fifapex.net]m.fifapex.net, [url http://www.themes4apex.com]www.themes4apex.com and [url http://www.themes4apex.com]www.themes4apex.nl. Try it!
    I hope this helps.

  • DNS for Multiple Domains

    I am trying to figure out the proper configuration for DNS that will support multiple domains. I have DSN working now for just one domain.
    My XServe has a static IP connected directly to cable modem and is the master nameserver. I also have an Ubuntu server with static IP connected directly to cable modem that is the secondary (slave) nameserver.
    On the XServe, I currently have a primary zone created for domain1.com. with:
    * an A record for domain.com. (Fully Qualified) and the same static IP as the XServe
    * an A record for ns1 (not fully qualified) and the same static IP as the XServe
    * Aliases for ftp, www and mail (not fully qualified) mapped to destination ns1.domain1.com. (Fully Qualified)
    Nameservers under the Primary Zone is ns1.domain1.com. and Mail Exchangers is ns1.domain1.com. with a priority of 10.
    The reverse zone is getting created appropriately for me as far as I can tell. I am able to access www.domain1.com just fine as well as mail and ftp.
    Now I want to add a new domain2.com to this master nameserver. I know that I will need a new Primary Zone for domain2.com. to be recognized and to setup it's aliases?
    Can I use the same static IP or do I have to have a unique static IP?
    Can I use the ns1.domain1.com. nameserver or does the new domain2.com need new nameservers?
    Does domain2.com have it's own A records?
    Does the mail exchangers need to be different for domain2.com?
    It seems like all the documentation and information that I can find are just for configuring one domain and not so much for multiple domains. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Spotted Dog

    Don't think of subsequent domains as being any different from the first domain.
    For every domain you need to provide certain information, including a list of the hostnames within that domain. There is no relationship between 'www' in domain1.com and 'www' in domain2.com (unless you point them to the same address, but that's a different issue).
    Any host record in the zone can either be an A record (where you specify an IP address) or a CNAME (where you specify another hostname that it maps to).
    In the case of your web server handling both domains you could set 'www.domain2.com' as an A record with the appropriate IP address, or you could set it as a CNAME with a value of 'www.domain1.com.' (essentially saying 'www.domain2.com has the same IP address of www.domain1.com, so go find that address').
    It's also possible to use cross-domain records for things like name servers and mail servers - in other words you can set your MX record for domain2.com to mail.domain1.com (essentially saying that domain2.com's email is handled by mail.domain1.com).
    Can I use the same static IP or do I have to have a unique static IP?
    That's not a question for DNS. What you're defining are the hostnames in that domain. If you have one server (e.g. a web server) that can handle multiple domains (e.g. one apache server handling web traffic for both domain1.com and domain2.com) then, sure, you can use the same IP address for both.
    If, on the other hand, you have specific services that cannot be multi-hosted (e.g. HTTPS) then you will need different IP addresses.
    Can I use the ns1.domain1.com. nameserver or does the new domain2.com need new nameservers?
    Sure, it's entirely possible to use domain1.com's name servers for domain2.com.
    Does domain2.com have it's own A records?
    It can do, or not, as you choose. If you're running www.domain2.com on the same server as www.domain1.com then you could use a CNAME record to point www.domain2.com to www.domain1.com.,or you could set an A record with the same IP address.
    The result would be the same, but the CNAME has the advantage that if your IP address changes you only need to change your DNS in one place (www.domain1.com) and all the other addresses would automatically follow.
    Does the mail exchangers need to be different for domain2.com?
    Not at all, if your mail server is configured to handle mail for both domains it's entirely possible to specify mail.domain1.com as the MX record for domain2.com.

  • Finally registering for a domain, what will i need?

    finally i am registering for a domain and web hosting with www.one.com
    what tools will i need to upload my site to my domain from i web?

    You'll need just a good ftp client. You'll publish the site to a folder on the desktop and upload the contents of that folder (another site folder and an index.html file) to your server. One of the most recommended ftp clients is the free CyberDuck. Another good one is Transmit.
