• HTTP status code returned by site-wide error handler is 200 OK?

I'm using a developer install of ColdFusion 11. I set up the following page at http://localhost:8500/test/index.cfm:
<cfthrow type="application" message="This is an error">
When I visit that page, the HTTP status code returned is 500, as expected.
I then created the following page at http://localhost:8500/error.cfm:
<p>Sorry! That was an error.</p>
If I set the site-wide error handler in the CF Admin to /error.cfm and visit /test/index.cfm, the HTTP status code returned is 200 OK.
This seems weird to me. It looks like I can include the following in the error.cfm file to send an error code instead:
<cfheader statuscode="500" statustext="Server Error">
Does anyone see that as problematic? Is there a reason why the site-wide error handler should return 200 OK?

Error Codes are the responsibility of the developer, to define and broadcast. Ultimately, the ColdFusion server has acted appropriately and fulfilled the request (hence the 202). Only the code would know what error was truly thrown, and how to appropriately handle that message to the user, hence the need for you to change the header in the response, if you want that broadcast to the browser in anything of than a "successful request" type of status.

• SSRS Report Manager error "Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500"

Hi All,
I am getting error "Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 500"
in one of my Test Environment when trying to run the SSRS 2012 report from report manager.
Any clue why it is happening.
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please Vote

Hi All,
Upon investigation found that there was no space (0 Byte is available) in E drive where underlying SQL DB is residing.
Once I cleared the space, report started working and above error was not displaying.
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please Vote

• An Error Occurred During Report Processing - Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 12019

When I run the report on production I got the following error message:
Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the
request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 12019
It hasn’t happen on Dev and Test before.
I googled, The error is described as:
12019 ERROR_INTERNET_INCORRECT_HANDLE_STATE
The requested operation cannot be carried out because the
handle supplied is not in the correct state.
But I cannot find the solution for that.
Has it happend to you before? How to solve that?

Same behaviour here, Sharepoint 2013 with SSRS in integrated mode
Error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: An unknown error occurred while processing the request on the server. The status

I have made an even simpler experiment with two python scirpt modules. The experiment again runs fine in Azure ML Studio but fails in the web service test with the error
Error code: InternalError, Http status code: 500, Request id: 53eef674-190a-4f63-bdc6-a072a45a9c72, Timestamp: Fri, 24 Apr 2015 09:30:37 GMT
The experiment consists only of two python script modules. The code of the first module:

return dataframe1,

Client log shows
Error:

The server returned HTTP status code '403 (0x193)' with text 'Forbidden'.
The server understood the request, but cannot fulfill it.
As far as i can tell certificates are correctly configured with all the SAN's possible in my forest. The user is correctly set up in Lync control panel. Autodiscovery seems to be working as it should. EWS is working correctly.
Repaired client, removed cached creds, has all lync 2013 updates no dice
Thank you all!

I am an IDIOT.
I did not prepare the child domain with the LYNC setup tool. Logged on to a file server in the child domain with domain admin rights and sure enough the setup said the domain was "partial". Ran the setup and bam it all started working.

• Returning HTTP status codes (401, 403, etc) to Flash 8

Hi all,
I'm using AMFPHP on the server-side and Flash remoting
classes to communicate with it. Everything's working great, but i'd
like Flash to be able to recieve HTTP status codes from the server.
For example, if on the server side (in PHP) I go:
header("Status: 401 Unauthorized");
I'd like the remoting service on the flash side to be able to
get the HTTP error code (401 in the example above).
I know this is possible with
LoadVars.onHTTPStatus
but it doesn't seem to deal with using it with Flash Remoting.
Thanks all :)

• ADF Mobile: HTTP Status Code 500 Internal Server Error

Hi,
I wrote a SOAP web service and deployed it to my standalone ADF Server. I tested it with the HTTP Analyzer, works great. I used it in a Web Service Data Control in normal ADF Web - works perfect. It returns a table of data as programmed. However, ADF Mobile gives me errors: "Http Status Code 500 Internal Server Error: The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request".
I developed an ADF Mobile interface with an amx page. I created the same Web Service Data Control and created a List View based on the data control. The error pops up every single time, both on iOS simulator and Android Simulator.
I know the simulators have network access to the web services - because i can open the web service test page and WSDL from both simulator's internet browsers.
I know the web services are running - because my ADF Web application can access it.
Any ideas?
Thank you!
-Gavin

Thanks for the reply. There were no errors in my WLS server. However, I will add some statements to my web service to write to the log file. That way i can see if or at what point is the web service is being accessed by the mobile app.
Thanks,
Gavin

• Error code: InternalError, Http status code: 500 while testing an experiment

Creating a very simple experiment with just a Dataset, followed by a simple regresion using an Execute
R Task , I get an internal server error while testing the published experiment
Hitting run everything goes smooth and I can see all data,but when i hit 'test' from the web services dashboard
right after publishing,I get this:
Error code: InternalError, Http status code: 500, Request id: d87e2d01-16ef-4ac9-8a5d-a58d41aab2d4, Timestamp: Tue,
03 Mar 2015 12:19:55 GMT
How can I handle this ?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Shreyas!
Are you familiar with the tryCatch() function in R? in your error condition, you can return the error message a bit more cleanly as shown in the following code snippet. FYI one common error we see is R scripts that are not able to handle a single-row input
or with mismatched data types.
tryCatch({
# Do what you want in here
maml.mapOutputPort("data.set");
}, error = function(e) {
data.set = data.frame(errormsg = conditionMessage(e))
print(conditionMessage(e));
maml.mapOutputPort("data.set");

• Trex Indexing giving HTTP Status Code 401:Unauthorized error

Dear All,
We have configured TREX search on KM repository of our EP
production server and trying to search using the same our KM repository.
The TREX is installed on the a separate server.
When we try to Index production repository the documents are failing in
the Preparation failed status with return code 6401 and error message
HTTP Status Code 401: Unauthorized.
I also applied SAP-Note 650521 and checked id index_service user and
found that its active and not locked but still issue didnu2019t get
resolved. Moreover i have gone thru most of the previous post regarding this topic but didt help.
I even checked the URL Generator service too which is fine.
On one test system also where SPNego is configured we are getting same
401 error. On this system we disabled SPnego and Indexing started working
fine. When we reverted back the SPNego configuration for confirmation of
our observation we found that it again started to give 401 error.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Dear
Open System Administration--> System Configuration> Knowledge Management--> Content Management> Global Services (Mode : Advanced)> Index Management Service--> Check for Crawling Service User  it has to be index_service
If still you have problem than do let me know where is your Repository located are the documents are stored on Portal Server itself or it is stored on some external server...
What kind of repository you use CM Repository(Mode:DB,DBFS,FSDB) , File System Repository....e.t.c....

• Http status code 401 : unauthorised

Hi all,
We are using EP6 SP9 with KM SP9, TREX 6.1 SP9. We are using file system based repositories with custom properties for upload & search.
Indexing fails with 'Queue entry' showing the documents as 'Preparation failed' with return message "http status code 401:unauthorised".
Has anyone come across this error ? Please suggest ways to rectify.
Thanks & regards,

I have an alternative URL set in the URL generator and I also have an unlocked index_service user, but I am getting the same 401 (6401 TREX error) problems as others.
Anybody know how to solve this problem?
How does TREX authenticate with the portal using the index_service user? How does TREX know what credentials to use? If it is ticket based authentication, how is this ticket set in the TREX system?
Thanks,
