Unknown name in TO

In the last week almost all my mail has To Elma Trotter <my name @xxx.net>. Even my last news letter from Apple.com, and from people and companies I have received mail from before. Even a response from a company about a recent order came with that unknown name. The name does not show up if I go to the on line version of my .net account, only on my computer. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

One more thought. Sometimes spam email will use a random name and fake your email address; you might have used an "unsubscribe" reply-to. Go to the Window menu and choose "Previous Recipients". See if the name is in there, and delete it if so.

I have had Verizon for about 4 years now, tried numerous times to get them to correct it but no luck. Every time I sign in to my account an unknown name shows as if it were me. Anyone know how to get them to correct this???

Tell me what website your are visiting that shows the wrong name as well as let me know if you are a Fios or copper subscriber and I will see if I can lend you a hand here

-4001 Unknown name/pw comb in state ADMIN when recovering a DB

Hi, (Yes, this is a SAP system - ECC6 / MaxDB / SLES Linux.)

I'm trying to restore a database while reconfiguring the logs. I currently have 2 log files, and I want to configure just 1 smaller file. I can recover this DB from the same backup file without difficulties if I don't make any changes. When I follow the documented procedure (see below), I get an authentication error.

The full error message is this:
-4001 Unknown user name/password combination in operational state ADMIN

The DB really is in ADMIN state. I can connect from DB Studio on Linux and DB Manager on XP. I have verified the passwords for users SUPERDBA and CONTROL work. For example:

Here is the procedure I found in the help (on my machine at http://127.0.0.1:63846/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sap.sdb.tools.help/htmhelp-out-en/18/1dedd0833b4957b68d34360814514e/content.htm ) I read that this cannot be done (currently) using DB Studio, so I used DB Manager - which I otherwise never use.

Procedure
       1.      Choose Instance ® Recovery ® Recovery with Initialization.
       2.      If necessary, transfer the database instance to the ADMIN operational state.
       3.      The Recovery Wizard always proposes the quickest procedure for recovering lost data. You may need to choose a procedure that is adapted to your situation.
       4.      The wizard guides you through the entire process of recovering the database instance. The subsequent recovery steps are described under the relevant recovery procedure.
Restoring after initializing a database instance with the option of changing the database parameters and volume configuration
Prerequisites
The log files dbm.knland dbm.mdf exist and are not damaged. This means that the backup history is complete. The database instance is in the OFFLINE operational state.
Procedure
       5.      Initialize the database instance. All data from the old version is then lost.
       6.      During the initialization process, choose Create instance for recovery (not Create and start instance), since this is the only option that lets you recover the data.
Once it has been created, the database instance is in the ADMIN operational state. The Database Manager opens the Recovery Wizard automatically.

This system was originally created as a homogeneous copy of a production ECC6 system. (It is not Unicode.) Then I ran the system for a while (generating a few log backup files), and when I tried a test restore, I get these errors.

Unknown name in Terminal as username

i bought a MacBook Pro with OSX version 10.9.2 (Mavericks) since this, (about 2 month) i did not any attention to what happens in my Terminal when i start typing some code in it (java codes for compile or something) but now i got that when i just start my terminal, this totally unknown line will appeared:
dukhat:~ MacBookpro$
necessary to say, my basic mac user was macbookpro when i bought this mac but what is this "dukhat"?!
i googled it but there is no related information about...

I see 2015developer has solved his problem, but just to reiterate... the hostname can be controlled by the network. Some honor the name chosen by the user, in System Preferences -> Sharing -> Computer Name. Some assign a different name. This is entirely normal, and not signs of a hack or an indication that the computer should be returned to Apple.

Unknown name in multiple speakers

On iTunes (10.2.2) I have an unknown speaker name in the Multiple Speakers pane.
I clicked on it whereupon 'This speaker is not compatible with this version of iTunes' pops up,
I can also see it as active through the Airfoil application.
Is this something I should worry about?

Unknown names under the shared section on my itunes, help!

Yesteday i opened my itunes and i found three unknown account names like "Sam's itunes" under the shared section and when i clicked them it could listen to all of their music. I thought restarting my computer would help but i didnt do anything. Today when i opened my itunes more names appear and when i try to dissconnect it doesnt work. Why is this happening and how do i stop it? im scared people are able to get my information. Btw i live in a dorm at school, so im not sure if this is affecting it or not.

You are seeing libraries your neighbors have made available for sharing on your local WiFi network. If you don't want to see them, go to the iTunes menu > Preferences > General and uncheck "Shared libraries". To share your own library, select iTunes > Preferences > Sharing. It should be off unless you have turned it on. You can share your whole library or just certain playlists. You can share it openly or require a password. Give the password to those you want to share with. Note that sharing is not the sasme as home sharing. While your computer is on and iTunes is open, others in your network can play your shared items, but can’t import shared items into their libraries.
Go to the iTunes Help menu and type sharing in the search box if you want more details.

My Apple ID has an unknown name attached to it

I was away from my Apple account for two years. When I returned, I found that all my info was still with my email and ITunes account, but there is another person's name showing on my email as the user. When I send emails, it shows some man's name who I don't know. I have been on the phone with Apple, and the tech couldn't figure it out, even after he accessed my computer remotely, and we spent well over an hour trying to fix it. Nothing appears to be "hacked" in my system, but there is this OTHER person's name attached to my email, not mine. The tech said he had never come across this before, and my multiple attempts to fix it through Apple have been unsuccessful. Anybody know what this is? Any thoughts? I'd appreciate the help, thanks!

Read applet param with unknown name

To read an applet param, there's the method "String getParameter(String name). For using this method I need to know the parameters name.
Does anybody know a way to read all params, without knowing all possible
param names?

Yikes ... not sure. Perhaps you could try to indicate what you are doing and implement it an alternate way. I have gotten around this in the past using various tricks. One of them (briefly) is to use a generic parameter accumulator:

Then you can just loop through and do
.getParameter("keyValue" + String.ValueOf(i));
and pick out all of the parameters. I pass each of the key value parameters to a decoupler, which parses out based on my "|" delimeter, and adds the parameters to a hashtable keyed on the key portion of the keyvalue pair, for easy access.
In essense, you can do this with ALL of your dynamic parameters. I tend to use logical groupings myself. That is you can separate them by using keyValue#, option#, etc so that you can differentiate various sets of dynamic parameters to your applet.
Hope this helps. If you find another way of grabbing all parameters, I would like to see what you come up with.

I know the rsquo&s name is appearing on several independent iCloud snyc accounts for no reason. I've stopped syncing to iCloud, as I think security is hacked and no Apple rep has stepped into this with any kind of reply. Disappointing. I guess Apple now too big to support fundamental issues like this. I'll just use less features going forward.

Unknown name using my imessage

I have received a nofication on my phone saying that "Sam" is now using my phone number for imessage. The thing is, I don't know a "Sam" and why they would be using my number for imessage. What is this? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!!

Unknown names in network

In my apple network panel i have Airport , blue tooth , ethernet , firewire , but now i have = Parallels guest and parallels Nat .
I delete them but they come back , i disconnect they come back i search for parallel in hard drive with spotlight but nothing comes up ,
What is this and how do i get rid of it ,

Best way of creating a report where end user can maintain names in groups

I'm working on a project as a independent consultant for a company and I'm using Crystal Professional Reports version XI.
I have a main report and a subreport that contains summary totals. I'm going to link the two reports by a date parameter range. For the subreport, the report is going to be grouped by four groups. Each of the groups contain a list of names. What would the best approach to give the end user who will be running the report on a daily basis to add or remove names for each of the groups when end user is prompted to run the report?
   I want to make it easy as possible for the end user to maintain this list in the sub report because of the following reasons: after the report is deployed,I will not be there on site to maintain it instead I will be available over the phone for support and the end user is the manager of the department and is not a Crystal reports developer or programmer.

Well let me start by saying that maintaining hard coded lists in a report definition is a bad idea and should be avoided if at all possible.
This of course means that it isn't always possible... In fact I have a few of my own reports that suffer from the same situation. Here is the way I handle it to make the list maintenance as easy and error free as possible.
#1) I created a new Report Custom Function. Let's call it NamesToGroups. The function will look like this... (Crystal Syntax)

Note that the list setup makes it easy to see who's in what group and makes it easy to add new people to the correct group...
#2) Now you can simple use the function in a formula. Lets call it NameGroups and the formula would look like this...

#3) Now NameGroups is available for grouping or selection purposes or just to add as a formula on the design surface.
#4) If you are using CRS or BOE the function can be saved to the repository for use in other reports as well
Now any time a new name needs to be added, the user can access the "Report Custom Functions" are of the Formula Workshop and add the name to the function, which in turn, will be propagated through the rest of the report. It's also easy to see how the function is actually working so that new groups can also be easily added.

How can I add a sheet in excel with a specific name after an existing sheet with an unknown name.

Just use the Sheets->Add function and wire the existing sheet index into the After input.
From the Workbook refnum:
Wire Property Node - Workbook->Sheets
Wire Method Node - Sheets->Add, wire the After input
Convert the Variant from Add into a WorkSheet type
Wire Property Node - WorkSheet Name
