Unknown server error - creative cloud login

For the past week I have got the following message when trying to log into creative cloud: 'unknown server error. Sign in is currently unavailable. We are unable to access your account. Please try again later.' I am able to access my adobe account via the website but can not download any updates without creative cloud login working. Please help.

Which operating system do you have?
Close the Creative Cloud application.
Navigate to the OOBE folder.
Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Delete the opm.db file.
Launch Creative Cloud.

  • Unknown Server Error – Creative Cloud – cannot log in

    Hi there,
I'm unable to sign in to creative cloud due to an 'Unknown Server Error'.
    Is anyone else getting this?
I've tried resetting my password to no avail though.
I'm able to log in fine on the Creative Cloud site but I can't use the creative cloud app on my desktop.
I've tried logging in a couple of times and I've tried to restart my machine as well.
I've turned off anti-virus scanning just in case, but I can't get it to work.
I've already installed the CC software on to my work machine with no errors like this.
    John

    I cant even see a adobe file there? Users\ {User Name} \AppData\Local\
    All files are viewable!
I have uninstalled all adobe programmes and reinstalled CC programme, but still get the server error and cant see the adobe file in anywhere to delete or rename OOBE file.
    What do I try now??
OK I found the solution - go to bed and look in morning. I had to choose diffrent users as creative cload was not installed in default user.
    THANKS

  • Unknown Server Error - Adobe Cloud Manager

Does anyone know the "true fix" for those of us that have Adobe Cloud Manger -- and get this error "Unknown Server Errror" when they try to log in, you are denied access because it says to try later.
I tried all the fixes Adobe has offered at this link. And, it did not work http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launching-cc.html.
I called and talked to tech support who gave me a temporary fix:
They said, create a new User Account on my laptop, sign in as that user, then download the Cloud Manager again, Log in.. And Yes, VOILA it worked.
Then they told me to delete the "test" user Account after I  log in as myself agian -- and all would be well.
That's not exactly true. If you delete the USER account including all traces of files -- your are right back to where you were.
Which is, unable to launch the Cloud Manager under your original User ACCOUNT on your laptop.
I understand that I could keep the files from the alternate "Test User Account".
However, The thing is.. I pay a lot for this service, and I do not think that I should have to fix a bug that ADOBE should be fixing -- by creating a second "Test User Account" on my laptop.
Sorry for the rant --  with that said. Has anyone solved this puzzle? Thank you for your help.
I'm just sayin' Come on Adobe -- Really, Really, No Really.

ChripingCharlie I would recommend you attempt to adjust the file permissions on the folder containing the OPM.db file.  Please see Error "Exit 6" or "Exit 7" | Install log | Read, write, system file errors | CS5, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-exit-6-exit-7.html for information on how to adjust your file permissions.

    Hi,
I've been searching the forums for a while and have not found a soultion to this problem.
When ever I try and log into CC to update my apps I get the following message:
"Unknown Server Error - Sign in is currently unavailable. We are unable to access your account. Please try again later."
I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, attempted to clear the cache but I cannot find the opm.db file anywhere. Even through a search.

Alright. I was being a noob.
I was in the wrong OOBE folder. The one that the solution referenced is in the hidden libraries folder.

  • I am receiving an unknown server error

so I hve uninstalled and reinstalled AAM and the same issue happened, so I unisntalled AAM and Creative cloud and Reinstalled them both and the same thing happened. I was facedwith a similar/same massage as above.
Now that the site has changed II have tried to login through creative cloud again this morning and just had a message saying unknown server error - try again later.
this is becoming increasingly annoying as now ai, dw, id and ps are taking longer and longer to open and I can' update them.

  • Creative Cloud Login

I'm trying to login to the creative cloud on my desktop.  I am getting the "unknown server error".  I do not have the opm.db file that when deleted corrects this error.

The Adobe Creative Cloud tool is terrible!!  I've done all the suggested "fixes" and they simply don't work.  I've contacted support and gone thru the opm.db file deletion process and that didn't work.
    1.  I'm constantly being asked to "Sign-In" whenever I open any CC products.
    2.  I have two Adobe icons in my Task bar, one is CC icon the other is Adobe Application Updates icon
    3.  Selecting Adobe Application Updates icon and right click and selet Open Updater does nothing
    4.  Select Adobe CC icon and clicking on the HOME tab just shows a blue spinning wheel (dashed) that never stop
    5.  Select Adobe CC icon and click on Files says "Coming soon"
    6.  Select Adobe CC icon and click on Apps is the only thing that works shows my installed app and those apps need updates
    7.  Select Adobe CC icon and click on Fonts says "Coming soon"
I'm a software engineer so I know a thing or two about Windows 7 OS, Adobe are NOT installing their CC under correct security context and they are also trying to display  a UI element (User Interface) under a different security context (the systray context) which is not allowed under Windows 7 security model.  And I also suspect that my CS6 products Application Updater is conflicting with Adobe CC.  If you take a look at your Windows Services, you'll see:
    A.  AdobeARMservice (Adobe Acrobat Update Service)
    B.  AdobeFlashPlayerUpdateSvc (Adobe Flash Player Update Service)
    C.  SwitchBoard (Adobe SwitchBoard)
And if you take a look at running processes:
    i.  AAM Updates Notifier  (Adobe OOBE component)
ii.  Adobe CEF Helper (Adobe CC process)
iii.  Adobe CEF Helper (Adobe CC process)
iv.  Adobe CEF Helper (Adobe CC process)
    v.  CEPServiceManager (Adobe common process)
vi.  acrotray.exe (Adobe Acrobat 11 process)
vii.  Adobe CEF Helper (Adobe CC process)
    viii. Creative Cloud
So I don't have a single Adobe application "running" yet I have 8 Adobe related processes running and 4 of them are instances of the same executable.  I have 3 Adobe windows services running also.
Do Adobe have a big problem with their services and CC and Updaters, YEP!  Is the problem related to having CS6 installed AND not understanding Windows OS security context, YES!
Adobe have some great applications, but whatever group is responsible for their update/CC process doesn't appear to have adequate programming experience/knowledge.
I'm at the point of stopping my Adobe CC subscription due to the lack of support from Adobe over these continued problems that myself and MANY MANY others are having with CC.

  • How can I solve an "Unknown server error"?

I've been trying since YESTERDAY to download the Photoshop trial and it keeps saying that an "unknown server error" occurred with the message: "Sign in is currently unabailable. We are unable to access your account. Please try again later."
    - Always when it happens I AM logged in on the website. It can't be a login issue
    - I have already uninstalled and installed again the Creative Cloud app
    - I have already restarted the computer
    - I have already signed out and in again on the website
    - I have already closed and opened the Creative Cloud window a thousand times
    - And I have already tried later
I don't know what else to do, and this thing is delaying my work.

  • Still getting "Unknown Server Error" when trying to log into CC Desktop App

Hi -- I signed up for the early access file/font sync and received my email saying "You're In..."
When I used the link in that email to download the CC Desktop App and when I launch it, I'm still receiving the error "Unknown Server Error" Sign in is currently unavailable. We are unable to access your account. Please try again later.
Anyone run into a similar situation or have thoughts on how to remedy this?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kristina

Solution 2 from this help article http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launching-cc.html should resolve the problem.

  • Still problems with "unknown server error"

I followed the solutions in document (linked posted by Ken G Rice on 23/07/13) but am still getting "unknown server error" when attempting to sign in to Creative Cloud from my desktop. I'm using Mac OS 10.8.4. Would that cause a problem?

I spoke with Gold Support. One assumption after the conversation is that ConCast(Comcast) is throttling me. The upload times out. It does end up correct on my iPad in Adobe Content Viewer and I have since sent this issue to the App store and all is well. Even with these update issues happening the whole time.
I cut larger stories in to smaller chuncks for tests. They worked in pieces but then a certain section would not after it worked earlier. I've had smaller stories work fine for a couple of updates then all of a sudden would not. Then they would work gain on the 3rd retry.
Add any video of any size and I can count on the error message.
They content is making it to your servers but I'm getting error messages but when I get the error message it is usually right at the spot you see above in my attached image.
I need to talk with Comcast and see what they have to say and take it from that point. I need to get this figured out. I burned too much time dealing with it.
    Thanks,
    Ron

  • Sign in failed - Unknown server error (-2) when trying to sign in to new playbook

I get the message "Sign in failed - Unknown server error (-2)" when I try to login to the Blackberry ID page of a new playbook during initial setup. This prevents me from continuing and using my device. A similar error message appears when I tap "Forgot password?" which is An unknown error has occured. Please try again (-2)
I have tried what others have done when they have unknown error (-6) which is turn off playbook and plug into desktop manager then update to reflash, but I continue to get the same error.
I know my BB ID username and password are correct because I can login to the web with them. Not sure what to do next.

Just to test the simple things first, did you try to sign in using another credential?
If only yours fails, then is a RIM issue, otherwise is indeed your Playbook failure.
