UnknownHostException - unknown host "olap" - where is Analyzer setting file to change this setting

Hi, I have installed Analyzer 7.1 and on Analyzer server Windows computer Analyzer java web client works fine - without problems. But on the ordinary computer only having JRE installed (Windows operating system) it reports the error: "An unknown exception occrurred while communicating with server. Nested exception is: java.net.UnknownHostException: olap" The name of Analyzer computer is "olap" so on local Analyzer server computer Analyzer java web client works fine. But on remote computer doesn't find "olap". Work around solution is to add "name to ip" conversion in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file on each end user computer, but this is very time consuming task. I supose there is some setting file on Analyzer computer where 'hosts' are defined. But I just can't find the correct setting. Where can this host be changed? Thanks, Grofaty

The only way that I know currently know of to remove old or incorrect email addresses from the Mail app is to reset the iPad back to factory defaults, which I assume that you don't want to to. You could try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe one day we'll day be able to edit them : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html#ipad

The simple shortest answer is that you can't (Change a Buddy's settings)
From your own end you can reply to the first Off Line IM you get on an AIM login (an accompanying IM for AIMSysMessage asks if you want them to Continue - replying No stops them)
IF you have stopped Off Line IMS than you can reset this at AIM Settings
You can log in here with AIM and Apple IDs that end in @mac.com and @me.com (iCloud issued @me.com name are an Exception)
In addition the Setting in iChat > Preferences > General Section that refers to setting the Status to Off Line on Quit stops the App starting up if iChat is not launched but the computer is ON

I'm having the exact same problem. It does not seem to be a settings issue but rather some sort of "problem" with mac mail. My Exchange provider was able to setup my mailbox on a test machine running Mavericks and everything pulled in fine, however I cannot duplicate on my upgraded system.
I was able to get rebuild my mailbox and get the older messages within my Exchange inbox, however none of my folders and old messages outside of the Inbox are downloading/synching.
**NOTE** I contacted Apple SUpport and they told me to call my email provider. I called my email provider which did as described above and they don't see a problem. SO as suspected it has something to do with the Mavericks update but I'm not sure Apple is willing to help. I might try contacting them one more time and see.

RRMX opens a default report. How to change this setting ?????

If we type RRMX transaction code, it should go to BEx, but user has reported that whenever he types RRMX it opens a particular REPORT. How can we change this setting so that the default report will not be opened, PLEASE ? It seems it started after upgrading to BW 3.5.

Thanks for your response. I have created a TEST User Id with the User Id that has the problem. I am not getting any default report with the TEST User Id when I type RRMX, just it goes to BEx (blank) only, but not to the report.
I have followed your navigation steps (Business Explorer Tab/Setting/ New Workbook on embed) with TEST User Id and 'is based on permanent template' is checked' under 'New Workbook on embed', but not 'is empty'.
I will go to the User's desk tomorrow and check the BEx settings on his PC.

Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and then login with your id. Any content already on the iPad will be tied to the previous owner's id and it can't be copied or transferred to your id - so it's probably best to do restore the iPad back to factory defaults and start as from new with it : Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contents And Settings

Here is a simple fix I found that worked for me.
1) Clear your download history
2) Go to Options > Options > General Tab: Change your download location to something other than what you currently have it set at. Apply the changes.
3) Go back into the Options and change it back to what it was or whatever you want it to be.
You should be all set from there.

You can't. That's just the way that the mail app works. When you delete an email, the next one under that email opens up automatically. There is no way to change that behavior in the mail app.

Try rebooting your iPad: Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo and then let go of both buttons and your iPad will reboot. You won't lose any settings or data. See if that stops the problem.
If it doesn't. Go to Settings > App Store Sign out of your Apple ID, then sign back in. Make sure all the information is correct.

USPS return to sender, address unknown? (aka Where's my ship file?)

I'm running through the SOA demo. I made an order for <$500 to check out the USPS shipment file adapter. In researching on where I should look for the resultant ship file, I see in USPSShipment.wsdl that the directory is hard-coded to C:\Temp.
Hmmm, since I'm running on Linux (not Windows), I'm scratching my head why this went through with no errors, and whether my file might actually be living somewhere or did it go into the bit bucket?

I'm not sure but do a search in the file system. Also, you can open the File adapter and run through the wizard (small icon in middle of screen) to redefine the location then reregister so you can manage where it goes.

Flash Player refuses to run, if outdated. Can I change this setting?

I work in a video production environment -- tonight we ran into a problem where a couple of live monitoring systems were not working because Flash refused to run; presumably, because it's out of date.   In this case, the systems are "Deep Frozen" (locked down, essentially).
While I think I understand the underlying reasoning for this, it's highly disruptive.    Is there a way we can change Flash Player so it doesn't refuse to run if it's outdated?
These systems are on OSX Yosemite. It's possible it's not just a Flash Player setting, but a browser setting -- still trying to track this down.

Yeah, that makes sense. Faronics is really into buzzwords. It was hard to cut through the marketing-speak to figure out what they were actually doing.
The plug-in blocking technology on Mac is called xprotect. You can disable it, which might make sense in your use-case, but it's typically a really bad idea for the average end-user.

I'm guessing that these files are mutable on the system and not part of the persistent snapshot, or I imagine that the blocking would have went away after a reboot. I'm thinking that you can probably disable these and update the relevant snapshots to ensure that you're not picking up new xprotect blacklists in the field.
If you're just hitting the same set of consistent local IPs for your monitoring backend, it might make more sense to preconfigure them in Safari as always allowed vs. wholesale disabling xprotect.

When I ope my mail in gmail. I click on a link to open a new tab and show me what ever it is I've just clicked on....Firefox won't just load the page like it did before I upgraded to this latest version. It says: Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page. and asks me to allow. I allow.
How can I tell firefox that if I have clicked on a link, I want to view it. That seems intuitive enough. I don't want to allow every time. I do this all day~

The setting in "Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.
