I try install OracleVM-Server-2.2.1 on HP BL XXXX, two card NC551i dual port FlexFabric 10Gb port 1 and 2 iscsi, but when install unknow the cards, that step skips and it is going away to particionar the disc without requesting the data of the card, as if the card did not exist and finishes the installation. When in login only show the loopback , it supposes that deberia to recognize card from installation, that I already do it recognizes so that it, probe doing this:
modprobe bnx2x
ifconfig eth0 192.168.5.228 netmask 255.255.255.0 up
show error: SIOCSIFADDR : No such device
eth0: unknow interface: so such device

Anyway, to the best of my knowledge I'd tell you that the only way to make this work is to get rid of the Virtual Connect modules, and put in plain Ethernet switches instead (gbe2c L2/L3 for c-class bladesystem).
Using a normal switch(es) as the front end, you'll loose the capability of creating FlexNICs on your NC551i card (embedded or mezzanine).
BUT AT THE SAME TIME, you'll see standard Broadcom NICs intead (2 on the embedded NC551i, and 2 on the Mezzanine, if present).
These cards will run on standard drivers (bnx or tg3, can't remember), and you'll be able to successfully complete your installation.
Finally you can connect the gbe2c switch(es) to your external Core Switches or directly to the firewalls.
You'll be also able to put up Linux Bonding and VLANs with this configuration.

It would take a few things to do this, and could cause some security issues. In short, I assume the certificate you "already have" came from another environment or a commercial provider. You would need to configure your computer to trust that CA
to be an issuer of smart card authentication certificates. That effectively moves a good portion of your computer security control out of your environment. For many environments that is an unacceptable security risk.
If you dont have an Active Directory running, you will also need to make some accommodations to the standard guides. I dont believe there are any published guides on how to do this with a single server and third-party CAs.
Here are some references for generic smart card authentications. They are not 100% applicable to your need, so some interpretation is going to be needed.

Smart card prompt when using RDP for server administration

I know I can't be the only one but I can't find any answers. WHen I use RDP to connect to my 2012 server I get the two option in the interface....my "domain\username" and "other". I click on my username that is already there and it only gives
me an option to "use a smart card". Is that a local policy or a group policy setting being pushed out from my 2003 DC? Thanks in advance!

SDI Capture Card that works with QuickTime Streaming Server/Encoder

I can't seem to find any major SDI video card manufacturer that has drivers which work on a MAC OSX Server using QuickTime Streaming Server & QuickTime Broadcaster. Apple has suggested we try LiveChannel and I have yet to contact them. I have however contacted AJA, BlackMagic, View cast, etc. and none have tested their cards against QuickTime Streaming Server & QuickTime Broadcaster.
We need to be able to do Multicasting
Any help is appreciated!

Sorry but I think I was impatient when I wrote that.
After monitoring the .upcoming file, I saw the new entries appear after a while.
You can modify the .playlist file at runtime without updating QTSS. It will read that file automatically after a while.
It seems to work fine now.

Address book card not updating from LDAP on server

I am running 10.5.6 on a MacBook and connecting to a 10.5.6 server. If I search the LDAP directory in Address Book and add a found card to my Address Book, it should update automatically with any changes - the box is ticked in the LDAP Preferences in Address Book.
The thing is, updates are not happening. I can connect to the server and searches come up with the information I want, but cards previously dragged to the Address Book from an earlier search never get updated.
Any ideas, anyone?

If a new OAB is set as default, please check whether the OAB folder in the following path is the latest date in Exchange sever:
a. OAB generated in Mailbox:
\\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ ExchangeOAB
b. OAB distribution in Client Access:
\\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\OAB
If the OAB file is not generated, please collect any event logs in Mailbox server and provide your OAB virtual directory information for more troubleshooting. If the files in both of two folders are latest,
we can try the following steps in Outlook to download Offline Address Book:
1. Delete the *.oab files in the following folders in local machine:
\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Offline Address Books
2. Create a new Outlook profile that uses Cached Exchange Mode.
3. Start Outlook 2010 with this new profile.
4. In the ribbon click Send / Receive, click
Send/Receive Groups and then click Download Address Book.

MSI TV Card doesn't work in Windows Server 2003 !!!

I have bought a MSI TV Tuner (TV @nywhere series)
I Installed it on Windows XP and it works properly.
But I Installed it on Windows Server 2003 and noticed that it's not working at all !
It's TV Tuner , however, doesn't work good (It has a weak receiving power). I'm using it as a Radio (MSI Radio). But even the Radio is not working under Windows Server 2003.
I want to know what's the problem ? What Driver should I use ?
I have Installed the same driver in Windows 2003, Because there isn't any Windows 2003-specific driver included in the CD-ROM of this package.
Please guide me what should I do. I need Windows Server 2003 to be my OS. I want to know if this TV Tuner isn't supposed to work on Windows 2003 Server ? It's only desingated for Windows XP and prior ? What's the solution ?

It's exactly the driver I have on MSI CD-ROM. As you can see above, it's telling There's no support for Win2003 !!!

Getting the Ericsson F3507g card to work in a T500 running Windows 2008 Server 64bit

I seem to have the correct drivers for the card but when I try to enable them I get a blue screen every time with the error BAD_POOL_CALLER. This is now happening every time Windows starts as it tries to load the new drivers.
Does anyone know if the card is supported under Windows 2008 Server 64 bit and if so, how do I get it working?

I've been asked to smart card (CAC) enable our Oracle web server and database access. We currently use CAC to access many of our other applications.
Where can I find the following information
Oracle software required (and is it an additional cost)
How to integrate Oracle App server (web server) with CAC.
How would I need to change the database users accounts to be CAC enabled rather than database users accounts.

New Audigy Value card completely nonfunctional in windows server 2

Hi all,
I just bought a new Creative Audigy Value card for use in a windows server 2008 system that will control the electronic school bells system in the academy I work at. It's desperately important that we get a sound working on this server so that the bells can ring again.
Anyway, so here's the problem - the sound card, once installed, says that it is installed properly (i've used x64 vista drivers .0077 and .0065A from creative's website, installed and reinstalled several times) but in the vista system tray, it just shows the speaker with the X on it. When you click "go to mixer" it says "there are no audio devices installed."
In the audio properties, you can see the icon for the "sound blaster audigy", but although you can SEE the buttons for "configure" and "test" - clicking on them yields nothing at all.
I'm really at my wit's end here. The school needs its bell system, which this server plays through it's sound card. What can i do to get this sound card working like it's supposed to be? any ideas?

Yes, well, the box in the store had a sticker on it that said it was compatible with Windows Vista 64bit and 32bit, so I assumed that a 64bit server would be fine for it, but perhaps my assumption was incorrect.
At least if you tell me, that you're 00% sure that this card is not compatible with Server 2008, I will be able to move on and look for something else and use this card for a workstation instead.
As for the first commenter - thanks, but yeah I had already made sure that both the audio service and audio endpoint driver were automatically starting up with the server, so that's not the issue.
So, Mr/Ms Creative Moderator - I checked the page and it does not specifically mention Server 2008, just Vista. Can you let me know for sure that this card is not compatible? If you can tell me no, at least I can write it off as a stupid mistake. If you tell me that it should work though, I feel like I will have to keep trying to force this one to work.

Just wondering if you can use normal PCI network cards on the Sun Enterprise 250 server?
The card is a Realtek RTL8139 PCI fast ethernet adaptor 32-bit
Also, would this card work on the enterprise 450 servers?

Sorry, Jason, that would be a big "No Go", good buddy.
NIC's for PC's can be generalized as incompatible with SPARC systems.
Again, that's only a generalization, but those Ethernet chipsets are just not recognized by OBP.
The hardware has to be at least recognized down at that hardware level
before a software driver package can manipulate the son-of-a-gun up in a running OS.
Of course there will be exceptions to all this.
I vaguely recall that some older 3Com cards worked
with older SPARC distro's of Solaris,
but with 3rd party drivers.
(something like 3C509B 10baseT on circa Solaris 2.6 or 7 ??????)
For those systems you've mentioned, your best bet would be
to review the Ethernet adapters listed in the SSH for each,
then go out for refurb or used equipment at an online auction site,
such as Ebay or the like.

Problem with CertificateRequest when using a smart card

Hello,
I have used the ssl debug statement to determine that ssl server is sending a CertificateRequest and a list of CAs. The smart card is opened via a password and I think X509KeyManagerImpl compares the Issuer of the smart card certificates with the server sent CAs. However since the issuer is an intermediate CA and only the root CA is in this list, the smartcard certificates are rejected. I CAN'T have the intermediate CA place in the ssl server list.
Using SSLConnect (KeyManager, X509TrustManager, null). The KeyManager is using NSS and the TrustManager is using opensc-pkcs11 via SunPKCS11. The OS is Linux, kernel 2.6.35.10-74.fc14.i686.
The intermediate CA is in the local cert store.
The application being used is DavMail.
Am I correct in stating that the the smart card certificates are checked against the server sent CAs?
Does anyone know how to get Java to use he local cert store to find the intermediate CA and then verify it against the Root CA in the server sent list?
