Unlimited Broadband, Limited Logon Times????

I have unlimited BT, quote from broadband monitor, "You have an unlimited product and will never be charged for additional usage."
I received a letter yesterday statying that I was 8000 minutes into my 10000 minute limit.  Can someone please explain this? Also where whould I check my hours logged in? It isn't apparent on the website either.  If I have unlimited date, but not unlimited minutes, then I don't have unlimited date. I do work and school from home and am logged in quite alot.
Thank you all in advance,
Dan

That message relates to your usage of BT FON and BT wifi hotspots, and has nothing to do with your own broadband usage.
Are you sure that you are logged into your main home hub wifi connection, and not to BT FON or BT wifi?

  • Upgrade to BT Unlimited Broadband Extra at a disco...

I've received an email from BT which starts:
'Last month you had to pay a bit extra for going over your monthly usage limit. You don't want that, and we don't want that – so how about a really special deal on unlimited broadband? We'll give you totally unlimited broadband and Unlimited UK* Anytime Calls for only £23 a month plus your usual line rental throughout. That's £5 lower than normal. You won't see this price advertised.'
I'm already on unlimited, I didn't pay any extra last month, I'm already paying less than the offer.
This is at best misleading, and at worst a blatant lie to try to get me to pay them more money.

I have received one of these and TBH it looks pretty genuine to me, it arrived on my email address that normally does not get any junk or spam, it has all the BT logos on and links to BTcom   the letter is signed by -:

I did get an email last month as I had used 7Gb of my 10Gb cap and I have been contemplating upgrading to unlimited.
I have not clicked any of the links within the email but TBH it looks very genuine to me.
I hope someone from BT can confirm whether it is or not
Below is what the email states (I have removed the HTML and links)

  • Time limits for time capsule access

I want to set time limits for individual devices on my Time Capsule network. How do I set this up??

You will need a hardware address for each wireless device that you want to be able to control. If you do not have the device listed, it will have "default" access to the wireless network, which means that it will have unlimited access at all times.
If you are having difficulty finding a hardware address for a given device, turn off all the wireless devices that will connect to the network except your Mac. You know the hardware address of your Mac already, correct?
Turn on one other wireless device and look for the info about that device. Then turn on the next device to get info about that device. You may not see a device name and instead see something like 10.0.1.x for the device name. Click on the 10.0.1.x display to reveal more information about the device, including the hardware address.
You can set up rules for each device on either the Time Capsule or the AirPort Extreme and the settings will automatically be transferred to the "other" device, so you only have to enter the rules on one device.
Open Airport Utility again and click on the Time Capsule if that is your "main" base station or router. Otherwise click on the AirPort Extreme if that is the main base station.
    Click Edit
Click the Network tab at the top of the window
Look toward the bottom of the next window and make sure that there is a check mark next to Enable Access Control. Later, you will need to make sure that the other router you have is also enabled.
    Click on Timed Access Control
Here you will see the "default' rule for the network of Unlimited Access. This means that any device that has not been assigned a specific rule will be able to connect to the network at any time. Leave this rule alone.
Click on the + (plus) button at the bottom of the Wireless Clients box
Type in a device name next to Description.....example.....iPad
Type in the hardware address of the device next to MAC Address
You probably want to have the rule in effect Everyday, so leave that box the same. If you click on the box, you will see that you are able to have the rule in effect with a number of other options.
Click on the All Day box and change that to Between
Double click on each time display to edit the start time and end time for the device each day. For example, the device might be able to connect Everyday, Between 9 AM and 10 PM. It is possible to have multiple rules for the same device by clicking the + button in this area to add another time slot.
    Click Save
Click Timed Access Control again and repeat the process for the next device, etc until entries for all wireless devices that you want to control are complete
Click Update to save all of the settings and the Time Capsule will restart in 30 seconds.
Be sure to enter a check mark on the other router that you have to Enable Timed Access and Update to save the setting.  This will transfer the stored settings from the Time Capsule to the AirPort Extreme or vice versa.
    Good luck.

  • Unlimited Broadband Data Plan...what's it worth if you got-ta-have it?

I have an unlimited broadband data plan that I used in an air card, and I'm not using it. The online VZ rep said the plan could be transfer to another customer. My plan is $60, and the new plans don't even offer unlimited. 10GB cost you $80 + $10 for every gig over. Who or what would require 100GB, 250GB, or 1000GB per month. I need to find that guy, because I've got a deal he'll love.
    Thanks guys,
    K8S

Wow, I have two phones due for upgrade in April. I was hoping that with these two at home and the 10Gb data plan on the modem I wouldn't have any issues living with the 10G cap since I could do big streams, like Netflix, on the phones and wouldn't hit the modem limit under normal circumstances. If I can't use a phone with an unlimited plan to watch Netflix a few times a month what good is the unlimited plan?  I'll keep an eye on the VZW forums and see if others are getting throttled regularly and for what kind of traffic. Other than P2P I can't see how legitimate downloads or video/audio streaming use should ever be throttled.

  • Unlimited Broadband, and Evening & Weekend Calls

    Hi All
I'm considering moving over to BT onto their:
Unlimited Broadband, and Evening & Weekend Calls for £25 per month.
Is this service truley unlimited? i.e. no caps on the total amount of downloads and no throttling / caps on the lines speed?
    Many thanks

During peak times the download speed may decrease as more people come online. Your connection speed will remain the same.
Actual connection speed depends on the quality of your phone line, and your own internal wiring.

  • Unlimited broadband

I signed up for a unlimited broadband office package and have found it's not unlimited even though I have never hit my fair usage policy I am still traffic managed because I am a high user (that why I went for unlimited)
I am capped between 6pm and midnight but this isn't due to fair usage policy but a separate policy (which is section B of the fair usage policy) stating that an unlimited account can be network managed if your a high user (why by unlimited if your not a high user?)
been trying to get my mac code for 2 days but because I am only a little business it takes twice as long.
This only came to light after complaining from October 2010 until a couple of days ago
and the service you get when you question their policy is beyond a joke 4 times phone put down on me, attitude of the customer services what a joke

  • Re-contract to TOTALLY Unlimited Broadband

    Hello
I have unlimited broadband and my connection is traffic managed at peak times on certain type of traffic which is annoying. I would like this removed as I've read is possible.
I'm currently on a half price deal with a few months left to run on the discount. Can I recontract now and retain the discount?
I spoke to BT on the phone and the lady didn't really have a clue what I was talking about. I then got hung up on accidentally it seemed.
Is there a better channel to use to get this sorted?
    Thanks.

  • "logon time" between USR41 and security audit log

    Dear colleagues,
I got a following question from customer for security audit reason.
    > 'Logon date' and 'Logon time' values stored in table  USR41 are exactly same as
    > logon history of Security Audit Log(Tr-cd:SM20)?
Table:USR41 saves 'logon date' and 'logon time' when user logs on to SAP System from SAP GUI.
    And the Security Audit Log(Tr-cd:SM20) can save user's logon history;
at the time when user logged on, the security audit log is recorded .
I tried to check SAP GUI logon program:SAPMSYST several ways, however,
I could not check it because the program is protected even for read access.
I want to know about specification of "logon time" between USR41 and security audit log,
or about how to look into the program:SAPMSYST and debug it.
    Thank you.
    Best Regards.

    Hi,
If you configure Security Audit you can achieve your goals...
1-Audit the employees how access the screens, tables, data...etc
    Answer : Option 1 & 3
2-Audit all changes by all users to the data
    Answer : Option 1 & 3
3-Keep the data up to one month
Answer: No such settings, but you can define maximum log size.
4-Log retention period can be defined.
Answer: No !.. but you can define maximum log size.
    SM19/SM20 Options:
    1-Dialog logon
You can check how many users logged in and at what time
    2-RFC login/call
Same as above you can check RFC logins
    3-Transaction/report start
You can see which report or transaction are executed and at what time
(It will help you to analyise unauthorized data change. Transactions/report can give you an idea, what data has been changed. So you can see who changed the data)
    4-User master change
(You can see user master changes log with this option)
    5-System/Other events
(System error can be logged using this option)
    Hope, it clear the things...
    Regards.

  • Inconsistent domain logon times

I have logon times that vary from 5 to 90 seconds for a domain login. If the user logs on for the first time it takes about 90 seconds; this appears fair due to the work that is do with preparing the desktop and copying profiles... etc. The next time the
user logs on it take around 10 seconds, which I am happy with.
All group polices all work fine. My only problem is to keep the logon time down and consistent.
The problem is that when the system is rebooted the logon time is around 30-40 seconds. After that they go back to 10 - 15 seconds. That seems to hint at a network issue. I have been tracing what is happening using PROCMON and PROCEXE; currently trying to
see if that tells me anything.
One thing that I have also noticed is that the Network name appears to have an impact on what the logon times will be. For example if the Network name is the same as my domain name "domain.xxx" the login times are good (10 - 15 secs). However,
for some reason that I don't know the Network name may be "Network 3", "Unidentified Network", "domain.xxx 2 (unauthenticated)". When this happens I can pretty well guarantee that the logon times go out the window.
Can anyone advise what I can do to fix this?
The enviroment is Windows 7 PCs, Windows 2008 R2 servers in a Domain/Forest  Functional level of Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Hi,
It’s normal to take a few time to logon a new user for the first time. When first logon, the time depends on many factors:
    Do we use roaming profile?
Is there any software settings in group policy?
Do we need to attach a network printer?
Is there any automatic map drive?

  • Last Logon date and Logon time not updating in table USR02

    Hi,
Please help us on this. After customer successfully logged in the webshop, we are checking the table USR02 in CRM system and the Logon date and Logon time is not updated. Because of this, the customer will be locked after certain number of days. When we check it in ECC system, customer's last logon date and time is updated. Can you tell us what could be causing this? Any advise what we need to check? Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Mike

    Hi
    1. Please check if the USAPPLREF table in ECC has the correct mapping done between the LOGON User and the Sold-to party (Customer)
    2. Please check the validity of those user in SU01 user data.
    3. Please check the USERS data from the USERADMIN Link (if it is configured in your scenario through XCM settings for USERS)
    Hope this will help.

  • Changing to the Unlimited Broadband and Calls Cont...

    Hi,
I have been looking at the Unlimited Broadband and Calls contract, and at the moment I have broadband provided by BT and have the phoneline provided by BT, but its not on a contract. I was wondering how I would go about changing to the Unlimited Broadband and Calls contract, do I just sign up for it online, or do I have to cancel what I have now and then buy the contract?
Also, this is going to sound mad, I know, would someone have to come out to set it up?
Before I do change to the Unlimited Broadband and Calls contract, has anyone had/heard of  any bad experiences with this contract?
    Thanks again in advance
    ~Iamnoone

You might find it easier to phone the sales department.
Do not cancel your existing broadband and phone - it will only cause problems.  You may even be charged a £30 cancellation fee.
There should be no reason for anyone to visit if you already have BT phone and broadband.
Play it right, and you should be able to get a new Home Hub and a significant discount on what you are currently paying, as if you were a new customer.  If you don't ask, you don't get.

  • Persona management - extremely high logon times

    Hello,
we're using a dynamic windows 7 pool with persona management activated via GPO.
Whenever a user logs on a desktop for the first time (so no local profile exists), the logon times can be up to 1 hour!
The client shows the windows status "waiting for user profile service".
Here are some lines from the persona log (the user name here is "sgsas"):

I cant find anything about "No EAS Found".
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello h3nkY,
thanks for your advice. I will try that.
Besides, I saw this entry in another log on the client right before the logon process freezes for long time:
[MessageFrameWork] Client/agent channel pending wssm to start
Does it mean the clients is waiting for the persona sync or could it be something else?
    Thanks again.

    Hello Anthony,
even maybe not on Windows (I faced this on Unix), proceed with invalid objects as in : Note 1453935 - Invalid DataPump objects after Windows patch collection > 25
this is the leftover of some previous 10g patching. Once objects are recreated, recompilation will go ok.

  • USR02-LTIME - Last logon Time

    Hi All
we have to trace the last logon time of CRM webclient users but USR02-LTIME does not write the right time, in this sense:
    - you logon at 11:00 with user TEST
    - you see USR02-LTIME = 11:00
    - you use the webclient without logoff and you see in USR02-LTIME the time of the last click
    Can you help me ?

1 .You can do it from NWA.
    http://fqdn:port/nwa
analysis-debug-logs and traces,Initial check sap logs or default logs with predefined view
Later open column customization and check mark "user"
and you can get all informartion about user.
    Hope it help.

  • Why is the iphone search function spotlight limited in time?

why is the iphone search function spotlight limited in time? I can only find entries that are less than a year old,but I would like to search older entries in my calender, which goes back to 2002. Anyone has a solution for this?

Are you sure that your calendar still contains entries from that long ago? Generally when you sync the iPhone through iTunes, it will only sync entries from a specific time frame. It may be there older entries have been archived and do not exist on the iPhone anymore. Other than that, I don't see any setting that allows modification to the time frame for Spotlight search.
