Skype just discontinued the unlimited subscription for India. According to another post here in this forum, that was done due to abuse of the previous unlimited subscriptions. You can now choose from 4 different India-specific subscriptions - 60, 120, 800, or 2500 minutes per month.

The Unlimited India subscription no longer exists. According to posts here on the forum, Skype discontinued it due to high levels of abuse. You can now choose from 4 time-limited monthly subscriptions (60, 120, 800, or 2500 minutes per month).

Hi Skype,
I am using skype from long time, I was using subscription for unlimited call to India on landlines and mobile, unfortunately I missed to put autorecharge option and on 28th august my subscription expired.
Now when I am trying to buy India unlimited subscription from portal its not available and it has been replaced with 2500min/month.
Is it possible to buy India unlimited subscription for 1 year without cap of 2500m/m.
Any help appreciated.

Unlimited calls to India Skype premium 12 months s...

Hi my wife using skype premium yearly subscription to call India. It will expire jan 2015. On current list of countries to call unlimited on premium subscription does not include India. If I renew her subscription before jan 2015 will she still can make unlimited calls to India.

Your account shows that your Subscription is monthly. If you cancel it you won't have the recurring charge applied at the end of your monthly billing cycle.

I want to know whether there is any such plan like unlimited calling to India. All I have found in the previous answers which leads me to only 2500 mins being the highest...Please suggest....

You have a different issue. Your current version of Unlimited World does support calls to India and you are calling from Australia - a country which does not block Skype calls. We need more specific information from you:

I am located in Sydney Australia. I use the skype phone for home business calls.
Please answer the following questions.
I want a package with unlimited mobile phone calls to Australia. Please advise if you have one.
Looking on your website at page http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/pay-monthly/?currency=AUD&source=account#AU it says 400 minutes for A$55.99/mth to landlines and mobiles. And unlimited to landlines at A$7.99 per month. If I get the A$55.99 subsricption can I also make unlimited calls to landlines. Or do I also need to get the A$7.99 plan to make unlimited landline calls. My cost would then be both the plans added together at A$55.99 and A$7.99 a total of A$63.98.

1. Skype does not have an Unlimited subscription that covers calling to Australian mobile phones. Only for Australian landline phones.
2. You would need to purchase two subscriptions if you wanted to have the benefit of unlimited calling to landline phones, along with avoiding the per-minute rates for calling Australian mobile phones with Skype Credit. Just purchasing the 400-minute subscription for both landlines and mobile phones in Australia does not provide for unlimited calling to the landline phones.
3. Don't expect to see an Unlimited subscription covering calls to Australian mobile phones any time soon, unfortunately. The cost of an Unlimited subscription for calling Australian mobile phones would be prohibitive.
Take a look at the per-minute rates for calling telephones at the "Pay as you go" link near the bottom of this web page. In most of the world, Skype does not offer Unlimited subscriptions for calling mobile phones due to the higher rates for calling those phones compared to landline phones. This is because of the "calling party pays" principle, and - for most places - the mobile providers are not forced to use the same rates for calling mobile phones as is the case for landline phones. Look at the rates for calling mobile phones in the USA or Canada - two places where the costs for calling mobile phones is the same as calling a landline phone. These places also don't use the "calling party pays" principle for mobile phones.

I would like to use Unlimited Call facility to Call from Singapore to India.
Could you let me know how much charge per month (for Unlimited Call facility from Singapore to India) in Singapore Dollars.

Skype discontinued the Unlimited India subscription in August, due to high levels of abuse. Skype now offers 4 subscriptions for calling telephones in India (60, 120, 800 or 2500 minutes/month). Since this was just discontinued recently, I would not expect Skype to resume offering the former Unlimited India subscription.
If you have contacts in India that have Internet access, you could encourage them to sign up for Skype accounts. Then you could have free Skype-to-Skype calls with those contacts, including one-on-one video chats.

This keeps getting posted on the forums. It is simpl because in UAE skype is blocked. Skype to skype works fine but making a call from skype to some phone number is a different story. What i have done and what others do is use a VPN account such as one from https://www.vpnaccounts.com or search on google for a VPN account.
