I was using unlimited US and Canada for 2.99 USD / Month. I wish to renew the same and do not see the same rate now. Pls advise.

I am going to Toronto in 3 weeks and will be there for about 5 days. My home is in the US and would like to keep in touch with my family in the US.
The question I have is can I call from Canada to the US and visa versa under the "

If I sign up for the "Unlimited US and Canada United States Canada for $2.99/month" does it start when I first sign up for it or does it start when I first use it?

You would have to purchase an Online Number, which will allow your Skype account to receive calls from telephones. Or she will have to also have a computer or device with Skype, which means the two of you can use Skype and have free calls between you. Click on the "Online number" link below for details on those numbers.

Hello, I have always use the Unlimited US and Canada a month for $2.95
For some reason they said is no longer available... is anyone else having the same problem? is there a way I can get it back? i Really need it... Please any help is greatly appreciate it...

To answer your questions, yes, you can use your Unlimited US & Canada subscription to call your friends and family to the said countries while you are in Rome.
You can use your calling subscription anywhere you are because here in Skype, subscriptions work according to where you are calling to and not where you are calling from.

Unlimited usa and canada for 2.99 a month on a yea...

I am trying to get a friend the plan that I have ( unlimited usa/canada yearly subscription for 2.99usd amonth. Maybe I am granfathered in, but all I see is the premium subcription is the only way to get it, and its more like 4.99usd a month. Can one still get the usa/canada unlimited without going on the premium plan?? Thanks

Unlimited world / unlimited us and canada?

can i recieve calls from anyone no matter what plan i chose? or do i have to chose a plan that covers the other party's country for me to recieve their call?
the country i want to recieve calls from is not listed under unlimited world.

If you wish to receive calls from Skype users to your Skype account then you don't need anything.
If you wish to receive calls from landline/mobile to your Skype account then you need an Online Number: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/features/allfeatures/online-number/
Note: It makes sense to get an Online Number in the same country caller is, then they will only pay local rates.

Unlimited calls US and Canada

I live in Montreal and signed up from Canada to get unlimited Canada and US plus France was the country I chose for my free country to call. When I log on I can only call France for free and no free calls to US and Canada. I would like to get what I paid for or would like like to cancel all together.

I used to use "Unlimited UK, Ireland, US and Canada" - I cannot find it anywhere. Did they stop it?

they appear to have gotten rid of UK + Ireland Unlimited as well - shame (Unlimited Europe is overkill for most native English speakers, who have some friends elsewhere but mgithn't be contacting them every month)

Unlimited calls and SMS USA-Canada

Am looking for a cellphone plan that would offer unlimited calls and unlimited text messaging in and between the US and Canada, whether the call or sms originates in the US or Canada and is destined to either the US or Canada. Any ideas?

AT&T just announced a $60 unlimited talk and text prepaid package. You are able to text to over 180 countries, but calling is still extra.

I have had unlimited calls to the United States and Canada for years and have faithfully paid my premiums.
I would like to know why I cannot make a call to a Canada phone number? Have you changed the way it is done? If so I would be so appreciative of being notified and shown how.

Unlimited subscription to USA and Canada

I purchased the unlimited subscription to USA and Canada recently and everything was working great. Then today I was using my subscription and it disconnected me, it gave me a message stating that I have violated my safe usage agreement for today, but my question is if my subscription is unlimited how did I violate anything????

Try to call number in US as follows:

If I purchase a 400 min ($4.99) subscription for mobil and landline calls to the USA can I use it to call Canada also under the same subscription?... in otherwords are USA and Canada considered under the same subscription?

BE WARNED!!!!
I was just hammered by Verizon because I added 2 lines. I brought two family members over from other carriers to our "share everything plan". The iphones we ordered came with pre-assigned numbers. The family members wanted to keep their existing numbers and Verizon said to "just have them ported over".
We didn't want, or had any use for the numbers that Verizon assigned the two new phones. When I got the phones I called the Port center at Verizon and they walked me through getting the numbers over from the other network. They had me activate the phones and then ported the numbers over (spend about a day on the process).
So I just got my bill and was outraged. Verizon charged me $78 for the lines of the phones they sent. I was charged $78 just to activate the line so that a number could be ported over. So now I have an extra $156 on my bill not to mention the $$$ they added on to have the numbers ported over. So adding two people to my family share plan cost me $327.

If you have unlimited data and plan to upgrade "BE WARNED"

This is just an FYI to all those who may fall into the trap I did. I wish I had know about this prior so I would have made my choices accordingly.
VSW has changed the upgrade plans for those with older unlimited data plans. If you use a line upgrade to get a smartphone that line not only gets the 24 month contract but you will also be forced into a min of $30/month data plan.
I have 3 phones on my account. 1 of them have unlimited data and the other two are simple flip phones (no data).
For 3 years I have used one of these non-data plan lines to upgrade the smartphone and then would move the phone to the unlimited line and the flip phone back to the non-data line. This worked great as my 2 non-data lines had contracts that ended on opposite years.
This last time I upgraded, In January, I explained to the sales person what I wanted to do, they told me they do this all the time and they would take care of it.
My Feb bill was a bit higher than I expected so I called support. I showed them the $30 data fee and how I did not want this on a flip phone. They stated oh yes we understand, will fix it and credit you. Perfect I thought. Sure enough March's bill came and the credit was there but the $30 data charge had not been removed. I called support again and this time they dropped the hammer on me.
My credit was an "Inconvience" credit, it was a range of $3-$8 per line, it was not a reversal of the $30 data charge. This is when I find out that VZW has now changed thier smartphone plan upgrades for accounts who are on grandfarthered in plans. If I switch to thier current plan, ie lose my unlimited data then they are more than happy to remove the data charge. So now I'm stuck paying $30 a month for the next 22 months = $660 in charges for something I will not use. A full contract 24 months $30/month is $720 which is more that the cost of most smartphones.
If this is your situation please be sure you have all the facts prior to getting tricked into a contract worth more that the darn phone you get for "FREE!!!!"

According to VZW support this was a policy change in 8/14, 7 months ago(ish), I'm not claiming this is brand new but I am telling others who have been with VZW for many years and still like the less expensive package they have had for those many years need to be aware that this is the rule now. In attempts to force those long term customers to go to a more expensive plan that offers far less service they have implemented this.
I do understand this policy now and certainly will no longer use the upgrades however I wanted to offer my story as a heads up to any other potential person from running into this situation.

4 phones.
My phone has Unlimited Data and Hotspot
Other 3 do not have any data.
I am curious what I can do and can't do that will keep keep the plan as is and not force things to share everything.
I am allowed to have 5 phones under this plan. I am curious about adding and deleting phones.
I did try and add a 5th phone. When I tried to activate a 5th phone online it would not let me do it. Tried to get me to change plans.
Here are a few scenarios that I see coming up in the future.
I would like to add a 5th phone. My father has an account and I would like to roll him into my plan instead of his own account. I have already done this once before many years ago with no problem with 2 of the lines that I currently have. Is this possible or is that enough to trigger the move share everything scenario.
Second. how about removing a line from my plan?
One of my numbers is for an 18YO that wants to be more independent and have their own account. Can I down the road either transfer that line and number to its own account which would be share everything (I do understand that). Or can I delete that line from the account without triggering the share everything scenario?
Also it seems when I look online I can change data plans currently three phones are on data block. Can I actually change them to a data plan within the Friends and family or is the Share everything scenario triggered. What about if I change them to a smart phone from their basic/feature phone. I know I can't get unlimited data but can I still get them on my friends and family tiered data plan?

yes to everything; you can add a line (up to 5 total for Family Share), drop a line, upgrade a basic line to a smartphone (and then add a tiered data plan) and stay on your current calling plan ... it may be easier done in your local Corporate Verizon store, though ... just be sure they don't try to switch you to Share Everything if that's not what you want
