Hi Skype,
I have recently subscribed for Unlimited countries Landline with first month free - trial.
I checked the coverage covering Taiwan and Hong Kong. When I tried to make a call to a Hong Kong phone number, it works fine. However, it did not work and I was asked to purchase Skype Credit when I tried to dial a Taiwan phone number.
What is the reason? =(

Unlimited World Coverage but can't call vietnam

AUS.
I bought the Surface 2 Pro and it came with the skype 1 year Unlimited Coverage Pacakage.
Calling local in Australia works.
But when I want to call a landline in Vietnam, it says i'm out of 'skype credits'
Does this not work for vietnam ??

Last night i subscribed to Unlimited world Trial, for which i used my debit card. As now i checked the account $1 ( INR 62.08 ) has been showing as deducted. Please help.

Since Unlimited US and Canada subscription is not available anymore, and Unlimited World subscription is the only better choice for now. Would the price be the same if I pay for Unlimited World subscription for 12 months at once? The old price for Unlimited US and Canada 12 months was $30.48
If not, then how much is Unlimited World subscription 12 months?

Subscribed to unlimited world premium (free offer)...

Hi,
i have today availed of the free trial one-month unlimited world premium subscription. paid it with my paypal account just so the process of availing the trial offer can be successfully completed. However, upon successful grant of the free subscription, i tried to use it but unfortunately i cant call landlines and mobile phones as the message is "You need Skype Credit or a subscription to call landlines and mobiles from skype".
what seems to be not right in this picture? please favor me with your prompt response asap.

i am planning to subscribe skypes unlimited world services for 3 months in a single purchase. if in case i encounter problems, where is the tech support of skype?
and lastly if i use this service, will the reciepient of my calls be charged for international call service fee (the reciepient of my call resides in china)

Unlimited World 12 Months + Skype Numbers

Looking around at settings myself and trying the standard knowledge base have not solved this issue, so I thought I'd try here. I haven't seen a post that specifically covers what I want so...
I currently have 2 Skype Numbers (out of the maximum 3 my plan should give me). I wanted to remove 1 of the current numbers and choose 2 new numbers.
However, when I click "Skype Number" on my Account Overview page and it takes me to the correct page, I am unable to go any further. Clicking "Settings" below either of the 2 numbers I currently have takes me to the "Subscription" page, which doesn't allow me to make any Skype Number changes (but does allow me to cancel my whole subscription!).
I have gone over the pages more than once but have not seen an "obvious" button I seem to have missed. It's a little frustrating that what should be a simple change is actually this difficult - especially when you've already paid for the service and want to use it!
I have read on the forums that apparently the Skype Account pages fail to work on some browsers, but I haven't found any difference between Chrome (latest version), Firefox (latest version), and IE (latest version for IE11).
I think if this continues to be troublesome I will think again about renewing in 2015, despite having had the Unlimited World package for a number of years. It would be a waste of money to pay for something you don't receive. Hopefully someone can help here....

I've pasted in a copy of the message i received below and modified the phone number that was displayed. I've sometimes received these in previous years and upon expiration it's just allowed me to reactivate the numbers as part of my subsciption with no charge. I did go in and try to do this again, but this time around it was displaying a charge. As i renew yearly instead of monthly it's been a while since the last time this happened so i thought i might have to wait until the number actually expired to reactivate it as part of the subscription. Unfortunately when the numbers expired i tried again and it looked promising because there was now a reactivate link next to each number, but they brought me back to the same page again asking me to pay for something i thought i had already paid for.
This is where I relized that my account page showed my world subscripton was not due to renew until may and the lenghty chat sessions with skype support started that i mentioned earlier and there's been no progress since then.

What do I need to do?You can extend your number by signing in to your account. There won't be any break between subscription periods – the new one will pick up right where the old one left off.

Bizarre Cancellation of 12 Month Unlimited World S...

I have had a 12 month Unlimited World Subscription for years. At renewal this year my credit card had expired, so no payment could be made. I was not on Skype or email for a couple of days so I missed Skype's messages about this and when I came back my subscription had been cancelled. No problem I naively thought just call up and pay with another card. Nope that is impossible apparently. Talk to an operator for hours - no joy. All I want is my subscription back, but no-one seems able to help me. 24 hours ago I could have just renewed, and now I am not allowed. Why? This seems crazy.

If subscriptions are canceled due to invalid billing information you can just sign up again for the service with a new card and your new subscription will pick up where the old one left off. If you are trying to renew a retired subscription then you will be unable to. In those instances it's best to have a middleman billing system like Paypal to handle the credit card expiration update without a service interruption. Skype's billing system lacks any ability to update credit card expirations and they have yet to implement a solution. This has no bearing on who currently owns Skype, though it wouldn't seem unreasonable for them to address the issue before the end of the next century.

What are the rates for call to mobile numbers of Skype Unlimited World? (I would like to receive an overview of the rates for all countries that I can call mobile numbers of). How do these rates compares to calling mobile numbers with Skype credit?

No. India is not in the list of countries covered by this subscription.

Unlimited World - can it be used for Russia landli...

Hi, everyone.
I need to make calls from Australia to Russia landlines (NOT Moscow and NOT St.Petersburg).
I looked at Unlimited World subscription :
Subscriptions > Calling landlines
Unlimited World - Calls are unlimited - AU$13.49/month
Available countries : Russia.
It says Russia without mentioning any restrictions on which cities I will be calling.
I am saying it cause Russia is a very special country from call rates perspective, as quite often it has special (low) rates for the capital cities of Moscow St.Petersburg.
I will be calling to other cities, so I am a bit concerned if Unlimited World subscription will cover my calls.
Someone on this forum mentioned that it may not be covered by T&C for the plan itself does not say anything like that (or probably I failed to see it).

According to the Skype rates page, the Unlimited world plan includes (both areas):
Russia
Russia(Moscow, St Petersburg)
So that seems to match up with the Unlimited Russia Subscription which is more expensive. It would seem wise to stick with the Unlimited World plan even if you have no need for those two cities or the rest of the World plan (due to it being less expensive).
It breaks down the Pay As You Go rates like this:

Calling - per minute 1
excl. VAT
Russia
6.8¢
Russia - Mobile
11.5¢
Russia - Moscow2
3¢
Russia - St Petersburg2
3¢
That leads me to believe most everything should be covered EXCEPT for mobiles. So unless there is something else unique or restrictive about the number, I don't see how it won't be covered.

Free world calling for 1 Month - mobiles ?

I got the free calling plan for 1 month and tried to call a mobile overseas. It did not work but wanted me to buy some extra skype credit...if it said "free calling to mobiles and landlines" how come i cannot call ? (It is to an I-phone - don't know if it matters..anyone have an idea ?

Unlimited World = Add mobile check in

I am interested in Unlimited World, and I found that if I add "5EUR" for this porduct, I can make a call to "mobile" world wide.
Question is that
Is there any time limitation for "calling to mobile?"
It looks so, but I would like to make sure, whether there is no additional cost for mobile calling as well.

With Unlimited World subscription you get to call all the countries covered in the subscription and this 5EUR extra is just a regular Skype Credit that you can buy with the subscription.
Skype Credit lets you call anywhere you wish and your account is charged according to call rates: http://www.skype.com/intl/en/prices/payg-rates/
Plus connection fee http://www.skype.com/go/connectionfee
You can purchase Skype Credit and a subscription separately if you wish, doesn't really matter.

Skype Unlimited World won't let me call UK mobiles...

Hi All,
I was under the impression that Unlimited World allowed me to do this, but every time I try, it tells me that I need a subscription (which I have!) or skype credit to call them!
This is a recent (3 months) problem and I had been using Unlimited World for ages before that with no problems at all in this respect.
Am I doing something wrong/ is there a fault with Skype? Can anyone help at all?

I' m not aware of the plans changing, it's possible you had a different plan in the past. The Unlimited world plan does not include UK mobiles however the Unlimited Europe plan does.
