Unload/load proxy clears cache without -cc

Just as the subject says, when we unload then load proxy the cache volumes get cleared. That without adding the "-cc" switch. New BM39sp2 server on NW65sp8.
Is there any way to change this behavior? we'd prefer to be able to load/unload without clearing the cache volumes.
Thanks in advance!

I did a test over the weekend:
before unloading proxy: CACHE1, 380meg ; CACHE2, 385meg ; CACHE3, 395meg
after unload proxy: CACHE1, 380meg ; CACHE2, 385meg ; CACHE3, 395meg
after load proxy: CACHE1, 79meg ; CACHE2, 90meg ; CACHE3 120meg
-and-again- minutes later
before unload: CACHE1, 79meg ; CACHE2, 90meg ; CACHE3 120meg
after unload: CACHE1, 79meg ; CACHE2, 90meg ; CACHE3 120meg
after load: CACHE1, 79meg ; CACHE2, 90meg ; CACHE3 120meg
There were no users on the system at the time so I couldn't let the cache build before the second unload/load.
It seems as if the cache is retaining some things but clearing a good portion out.
any ideas?
Thanks!

  • Pogo games won't load - cleared cache, reloaded firefox, reloaded plugins, reloaded java, reloaded adobe flash - nothing is working - need NEW suggestions please.

Pogo games won't load - cleared cache, uninstalled and reloaded firefox, reloaded plugins, uninstalled and reloaded java, uninstalled and reloaded adobe flash - nothing is working - need NEW suggestions please.

    Try doing these steps:
Install Firefox 11 from [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com]. simply install it over your current version of Firefox to make sure all Windows Registry settings get recreated correctly.
Run all Windows Updates. Service packs, etc. You may have to run this several times to ensure that you get all needed updates.
Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. You can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
After doing all these steps, try restarting your computer, and seeing if Pogo will run.
If it doesn't work, go into your control panel, and uninstall every installation of Java and Flash that you have. Restart your computer again, then install them from [http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe] for Flash, and [http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=62313 http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=62313] for Java. again, restart your PC, then test.
Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
If it does not help the issue, open up your Firefox Profile. [[Backing up your information|Backing up your information]] shows you where that is stored by default. Delete or rename the "pluginreg.dat" file (make sure Firefox is closed when you do this). Test again.

  • Fire fox loads some websites and not others. Clearing cache and history doesn't help.

Fire fox loads some websites and not others. Pages that don't load in Firefox do load in other browsers. Clearing cache and history doesn't help.
One of the websites that doesn't load is google.com! It loads some of the page, just some menu items at the top of the page. Then, it hangs and remains in the Loading state (with the spinning wheel and "Loading" in the tab) indefinitely.
The problem started after 3.6.11 was installed. I'm on Mac OS 10.6.4.
I would be happy if you just showed me where I can download 3.6.10. Also, is there anything special I have to do if installing an older version?

I ended up going into the clear history settings and setting it to clear history when Firefox closes and chosing it to clear history and cooking and browsing history when Firefox closes. Now the links work fine and the last page I was looking at before I closed Firefox is no longer there when it opens again. Problem solved!

  • Will not load sites linked from another website--have cleared cache, cookies, history, restarted, checked in Safe Mode--still does not work.

Some sites load fine. But some sites will not load when linked from another web site, or, occasionally, even from my bookmarks. I went through troubleshooting routine--cleared cache and cookies, history, checked in Safe Mode for extensions, etc., but still will not work in Safe Mode. No other problems with computer or browser.

What happens when you click the link that does not open up the new page? Is it a blank page? Does this also happen if you Shift Click the link?
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

  • Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube after clearing cache

Firefox 4 wont load page completely or play videos on youtube and ive noticed its always after clearing cache. after a while it will start working properly but its kind of annoying. Know what the problem is?

oh, there is still a pending issue with youtube unfortunately. I can play videos individually but if I click on a video that is part of a playlist it lags and then goes to a blank space where the video should be. Is that a flash player issue? So, I can play videos individually but not playlists.
Any word on that would be awesome
    Thanks again

  • Did safari come without clear cache in the iOS 5?

HI, I just  upgrade my ipad2 with its 5. But can't  find clear cache in safari...is it the latest update?

    Rachel65-
Is the Cache the same as History?
I found two ways to delete History.  One is to run Safari, click on the Bookmarks icon and select History.  Clear History is listed to the right of the History title.
The other is using Settings.  Go to Settings-Safari-Clear History.  There is also an option to Clear Cookies and Data.

  • IE will load my excite home page but Firefox won't after following all of the suggestions , enabled cookies, java script and cleared cache.

Was working fine for years until virus scan today. It will pull up the site, but not allow me to access my personal home page. Running XP on one laptop and Vista on the other. Same problem with both machines after running scan. Only problem appears to be accessing my home page on excite.com. Have enabled both cookies and java script as well as clearing cache.
Can access excite home page on both IE and Chrome.

Thanks for the suggestion.Working my way through, but no success yet. excite.com comes up but as soon as I click on "sign in", I get the error screen even though I have enabled cookies and java script.

  • Users seeing old versions of site until refreshing and/or clearing cache

I assist with a website that has regular (sometimes subtle) daily updates.  Lately a few users have complained that upon visiting the site, their browsers (IE & Firefox) have been loading a previously cached version of the site without the current updates.  Usually a simple 'refresh' fixes the problem, but this morning I was on the phone with a user who wasn't able to view the current version of the site after several refresh attempts until finally clearing her cache.  This seems to be a new issue that has been occuring more and more lately and doesn't seem browser specific, or specific to the user settings.
Is there a reason a browser wouldn't recognize a new version of a page, therefore loading a cached version?  Is there something I can put in my HTML that will force a browser to load a new version of the page?
    Thanks much.

Try 1 or 2 of these Meta Tags.
If cached version is older than the served page, browsers should display the served page.

  • OBIEE 11g: how to automate browser clearing cache

    Hi,
We upgraded OBIEE 10g to 11g the implementation includes EBS SSO ( which works in 10g).
the SSO functions OK meaning when we login from ERP Bussiness selection responsibilities to the OBIEE dashboard page we can access it and the login succeed.
The thing is that when we change the responsibility to another responsibility the Application role of the user does not updated and the old role ( the user get again the first role that was assigned in the first login ) meaning the role was not changed with the new responsibility.
I think that browser cache find OBIEE session and connect to the session without call /* valueof(NQ_SESSION.ACF) */ APP_SESSION.validate_icx_session('valueof(NQ_SESSION.ICX_SESSION_COOKIE)')
So, to automate browser clearing cache ?
    Thank you

    Thank you Veeresh,
I think this situation is due to a feature of Weblogic
"+The browser caches user credentials and frequently re-sends them to the server automatically. This can give the appearance that WebLogic Server sessions are not being destroyed after logout or timeout. Depending on the browser, the credentials can be cached just for the current browser session, or across browser sessions.+"
I understand the advantage that helps to not make the login process more unnecessary. But I have to disable the feature, otherwise the end-user will not be able to change permission on BI /ERP responsibility and will have totally close the browser. The question is how to disable it (Weblogic feature) ?
    Thank you,
    Ark

Error message is FAILED TO GET DISPATCH FROM IBRWSR2.  Then when you click on it the next error message says:  PHTML IS NULL. You have to click this error message twice and then the PDF finally loads. Happened every time
Does anyone have a solution since Adobe will not respond?
As a last resort I will try uninstalling the Adobe Reader XI and install Adobe Reader 10 instead. It seems to work ok. But when I try to install version 10 the Adobe site tries to install XI.  Any ideas?

  • Missing stuff/altered settings after clearing cache

So I wanted to clear up disk space by clearing up the cache. I had not done this before so I did it for the first time. I cleared up the caches from both the main Macintosh HD device and my user name. I went to the Library folder, then to the cache folder, selected all, and put all the stuff in the Trash and emptied it. Then I re-started my computer.
The problem is, after I restarted I noticed that some things were missing. All my desktop images were gone. Even though they were all the default images that came with the computer, I liked the default space image. The color of the menu bar on top (where you see the apple icon, file, edit , ect.) changed from the default light gray color to now a light blue color. I tried to change the color by going to system preferences and then to appearances. But I only have two choices, Blue and Graphite. When I change to Graphite, there is no difference. Also, all my widgets are gone. I tried to look for those widgets but can't find them on the apple website.
What I did to try to fix this problem, I inserted the applications install CD that came with the computer and re-installed the applications but the stuff was still missing. I have not tried to re-install  MAC OS X because right now I don't have a way to backup my files. For those who cleared their cache like I did; did anybody have things missing? And how can I delete the cache without affecting the settings of my computer??

Deleting the cache files shouldn't have had the effects you describe, so I don't know what really happened. What I do know is that you should do no more work with the computer until you have a backup solution in place. Without it, you are inevitably going to lose all your data, and there will be nothing anyone can do to help you. Shut down the computer now. Don't turn it on again until you're ready to connect an external hard drive and activate Time Machine or some other backup software.

  • Inserts using Automatic Row Processing (DML)  should not clear cache

    Hi,
    I am using APEX 4.0.1.00.03.
I created a form on a table for inserts and updates.
After I do an insert, the Automatic Row Processing (DML) clears cache for all items on the page.
But the user wants to see the data he inserted without having to query. How can I achieve this?
    Thanks
    Chandra

There isn't any "reset page" process on my page.
