Unloading in Purchase order.
Hello All
We have included unloading point as one of the field catalogs in Condition table for message determination. We need to populate the unloading point in Account assignment tab automatically while creating the purchase orders. Whether it is possible to populate this unloading point in Standard SAP while creating Purchase orders .If not kindly do let us know the user exit /BADIs that can be used to achieve this.

I think its not possible to achieve defaulting of unloading point via account assignment category. But, may be you can use user exit - ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST.

Hi,
I am trying to maintain value in the fields Goods recipient and Unloaing point in an account assigned purchase order or purchase requisitin. However when I select item category B (Limit) these fields are greyed out.
I know that these fields are driven from the account assignment category fields slection. I checked in configuration. In configuration it was found that these two fields are configured as optional. Still I am unable to identiy which config derives this fields selection.
If any one of you faced this weird situatioin or do I missing any thihg here..?Please let me know

A purchase order needs to be created, and the vendor is known
Business Process Description Overview
A purchase order is a legal document issued by the buyer to the vendor to supply materials or service at the agreed price, terms and conditions. The Purchase Order forms the basis for all follow-on activities like Goods Receipt, Invoice Verification, etc. The Purchase Orders can be created directly by entering all the required data, copying already created purchase order, with reference to an RFQ/Contract or with reference to a PR.
Purchase Order creation is possible only if sufficient budget allocation is there for the Fund Centers. It is not possible to create Purchase Orders for a Vendor who is blocked for procurement or not maintained in source list for that item. Also it is not possible to create PO for Quantity more than the PR quantity.
All the price components which are to be paid to vendors and requires to be inventoried has to be included in PO.It is possible to add different vendors for delivery costs. The tax codes should be correctly maintained in PO for the purpose of Cenvat availment etc.
The payment term defaulted from Vendor Master or RFQ has to be verified and changed if required.
The incomplete Purchase Orders can be saved as HOLD document and later completed and saved thru Change PO menu

Tips and Tricks
The Purchase Orders can be created directly by entering all data required for creating PO or by copying another PO or with reference to RFQ/Contract/PR.To create a purchase order by copying existing document (PO/RFQ/PR), you can either select the desired document in the document overview .and adopt it in the current purchase order in the right-hand area of the screen using the ADOPT button .In addition you can drag it onto the shopping basket symbol with the left-hand mouse button.
Click the Personal Settings button on the tool bar, this function is for default information for purchase order header data and also purchase order item data. This will reduce the amount of redundancy in the data entry, i.e. plant, company code.
One Purchase Order may be created for several purchase requisitions
Procedural Steps
1.1. Access transaction by:
Via Menus Logistics èMaterials ManagementèPurchasingèPurchase OrderèCreateèVendor/Supplying Plant Known.
Via Transaction Code ME21N
1.2. Double-click
On screen Create Purchase order
On screen select Domestic Purchase order in this screen . You can also select other document if you want to create other. Here drop down menu is available.
Click to enter the organization data.
Screen will change in the header; enter data as given in the table below:

Purchasing Org. R Enter the purchasing organization code.
Example: 1000
Purch. Group R Enter the purchasing Group which is procuring the material

Company Code R Enter the company code under which above purchasing

After entering the organization data enter the vendor or material supplier in the field here drop down is available.click to see the drop down.

Click to see and to change the Tax Code at item level.
Select to view the taxes applied on the line item.
click to go back to the previous screen .
On the main screen in the same tab if you want to change the taxe select the tax code from the drop down available
After selection again, Select to view the taxes applied on the line item.
If you want to add more conditions click tab and enter the conditions from the drop down
You can also maintain the text at item level by clicking tab.
After completeing this all click to check wether here is any error in the purchase order , If there will not

any error then on the screen following line will appear.
If there will be some error the system will throw the message on the screen
select the line item and click to see the detail of the error.
close this window now and goto main screen to rectify the error.
After rectifying the error again click to check wether here is any error in the purchase order.
Now click to save the purchase order, after clicking the button the following message will appear -
SAP MM Purchase Order custom field pulling through to FI

I have no idea where to start. I need to create a custom field in the Purchase order which has to pull through to FI. I've created an Account Assignment category I - Insurance and need to have a field on the Purchase order where the users can fill in the Claim Number. (Reference field).
I thought I could maybe use the Unloading point field as we don't use it currently, but it doesn't pull through to reports on FI.
Secondly I would like to link my Account assignment category to a specific General Ledger account (when the user choses Aac I, I would like a G/L to automatically populate and be grey (no changes possible)

1) How to default a General Ledger account on a Purchase Order account assignment for an inventory item?
When you create a standard Purchase Order using ‘K’ account assignment to expense an inventory item with GL account and cost center, the system expects you to key in GL account number and the cost center. In case you don’t want to use the account modification ‘VBR’ assigned GL account number, it is possible to default a separate GL account with standard configuration steps.
a) Transaction: OME9 (Maintain account assignment categories)
Create a new account assignment category ‘Z’ by making a copy of account assignment category ‘K’. Change account modification to ‘ZBR’.
b) Transaction: OMGO (Define combination of item categories/account assignment categories)
Assign account assignment category created in previous step to an item category blank or space.
Note:
This is an optional step, if you don’t want to touch the standard ‘K’ cost center account assignment.
c) Transaction: OBYC (Automatic account assignment configuration)
Choose account transaction key ‘GBB’ by double clicking the existing entry and choose the appropriate chart of account for your company. Assign the GL account that needs to be defaulted for general modification ‘ZBR’ and valuation class ‘RAW’ (use appropriate valuation class set-up in your company).
d) Transaction: ME21N to create a purchase order to test the configuration.
When you create a PO with account assignment ‘Z’ for an inventory item, the system should default the above-configured GL account.
2) How to default a GL account for a material group when a purchase order is created without a material master?
If you want to create a purchase order without a material master (service/expense items), the standard SAP R/3 4.x and higher releases, offer functionality to assign a valuation class to a material group. This way automatic MM account assignment can be set-up to drive the appropriate GL account for a material group/valuation class in your company.
a) Transaction: OMSK (Define valuation class):

Assign the appropriate valuation class for a material group.
c) Transaction: OME9 (Maintain account assignment categories)

You can update the delivery date , by an customer program in back ground.
This should be triggered for every PGI done with count in PO delivery date.
This delivery date should be changed before the shipment is triggered.
Ask your ABAPER to develop an custom program , based on input logic how to change the delivery date in PO.
He will develop the program as per your input given to him.

The answer lies in how the sales order is closed and invoice is printed when the GR is done.
Please check if it is possible to update the invoice with the information you want to be printed on the Export doc and Packing slip.If this can be acheived then you print the information out of the invoice without using the delivery.

LSMW issue using BAPI for changing Purchase Order G/L Account
Wonder if anyone can help as I'm tearing my hair out!!
Have used LSMW lots of times using the transaction recorder, but tried using a BAPI as we have a mass update to do of G/L Accounts for Purchase Orders and it seems the tidiest and most efficient way to do it.
Got my LSMW project working as a test by changing the Short Text on a purchase order, this works fine. However, when I add the Account Assignment details in (Structure E1BPMEPOACCOUNT and E1BPMEACCOUNTX) everything seems to run fine, the IDOC posts and gives message 'Document xxx changed'. Yet when I look into the order it hasn't actually changed the G/L.
If I go into the purchase order in change mode in another session and run the LSMW again it recognises the purchase order is locked so it seems to be doing everything right, just not updating the G/L Account field. Anyone got any ideas ? It updated the short text fine so I'm sure everything is set up OK but for some reason it ignores the G/L that I upload. Anything relating to the Account Assignment (Unloading Point, GR, Cost Center) just gets ignored if I try and upload a change.
I seem to be so close it seems a shame not to be able to get it sorted !!!

We have separate PO for material and transportation of the material and other handling charges I non SAP due to reason that different vendor for material and lot of transportation e.g .through railway and trucks and also Service tax is applicable for the transportation purpose .
In SAP can we have separate PO for material and transportation and other handling charges (loading & unloading)?
If it is possible how can I add this cost of transportation and other handling charges to the material cost?
and how service tax will be handle ?
and if transportation cost is not known at the time of PO ?

You can resolve your issue with single purchase order.
Create purchase order - ME21N t-cd for material. enter your required detail for purchase order. Then at item detail level you can assign your transportation charges with FRB2. You can also assign different vendor for your transporter charges.
Then create Good receipt against purchase order - MIGO.
At the time of Good receipt creation system generate autometically delivery cost for transaporter charges and one material document for material.
Then you can create two different inovice for material and service with MIRO t-cd.
If your service tax is pay against your transporter charges, so you have to create two purchase order 1) service po and 2) Material PO.
Then complete the proces of two purchase order.

2. also check in which client you are checking
3 Debug and see whether u code is executed and also after saving check the Table EKPV whether inforamtion gets update or not.

I have added a custom field (Unloading Point) in the Purchase requisition customer screen. Now When a purchase order is created from the purchase requisition through t-code ME59N, I need to copy the unloading point value from the PR to Unloading Point in the shipping tab of the Purchase Order. Whch User-exit/BADI can be used for this purpose. <removed by moderator>

of credit (LC) .
Depending on the terms of Purchase order , Vendor will discount it /get
payment from Bank on submitting LC and other necessary documents.
Vendor's Bank, at appropriate Time will send the same to Customer's Bank
How to mapped this scenario in SAP-MM and FI .
Activities required to be updated against Purchase order :
(1) Payment Terms : 100 % against LC on delivery
(2) History should reflect LC opened - Date and Bank Name which
Vendor has suggested, our company's Bank Name
(3) LC discounted details
(4) LC payment due date to our company Bank - as Procurement needs
to inform to Finance for this.

Purchase order and message details
Hi gurus,
We have a requirement of generating a report of how the purchase orders are being sent to vendor.
Is there any table or tables that stores information of a purchase order number and how the message (output type) has been processed to vendor like through what medium it has been sent to vendor.
Example Purchase order 3456 was sent to vendor through fax.
Purchase order 4563 was sent to vendor through paper.
Purchase order 7865 was sent to vendor through EDI.
The transmission medium by which it has been sent to vendor need to be captured by purchasing document.
So gurus, if anyone can advise me of table or relating tables that i can write a query or request abapers to write a custom report, that would be great.

Goto SE16 for NACH and enter the DOCUMENT CONDITION and get te details

When Iam trying to take Purchase Order report,
Fields in PO Report are as follows:
Posting date, Purchase Order number,Vendor Name, Item Name, Qty, Unit Price, Total Price, & Status.
For eg:
PO Num 100 contains 5 Items, Out of which Goods Receipt PO has been raised for 3 Items. and Goods Receipt PO for remaining 2 items have not been raised.
In this case PO status is OPEN.
When iam generating PO Report, It shows Status for all the Items are OPEN. bcoz status for the PO is OPEN.
I want the report to show the status is Closed for the Items for which Goods Receipt PO has been raised. and similarly status must be OPEN for the items for which Goods Receipt PO has not raised. ( PO number is same ).

I have Created new field by going into...................... Path: ToolsUserdefined FieldsManage User defined fieldsmarketing documentsrows.
And i have selected check box set valid values for fields and i have given Open and Close Options.
This is effecting in new Purchase Orders which iam creating from now. But it is not reflecting in Purchase docs which i have created earlier.
So Please let me know what to be done inorder to reflect this change in all Purchase Order Doc's.
