Unlock blackberry 8700V from Vodafone

I have Blackberry 8700V old mode, But its exclusive for vodafone netowork that means i can use only Vodafone sim in my mobile..so  can any body help me in unlocking it from vodafone so that i can use other operators in my blackberry

    Hello Apple Community,
    I recently tried to unlock my iPhone4 from Vodafone.
    Visited Vodafone.com.au/unlock and put my IMEI in.
    Then followed the instructions for iTunes. Did full back up, restore, etc etc BUT at no point did I get the message "your phone is now unlocked"
    I did the same process recently on my sons phone and got this message, but I did not get this message during my process.
    Does this mean that the Unlock was not successful??
    Can I check this somehow?

    I would suggest that you contact Vodaphone for assistance
    to check if your iPhone did get unlocked and, if is was not
    unlocked, what can be done to unlock it.

    Ok many thanks for telling me this BUT 1 last thing, once vodafone get back to me then is it just a matter of plugging my iphone into itunes and letting it sync? Like will a message be displayed or anything on screen letting me know or confirming that the phone has been unlocked...???

    The ONLY place that can unlock the iphone is the carrier to which it is locked.
    You would have to contact Vodafone in Spain.

    Sce the changeover i have had 'no service' on the top left of phone.  I have an email to say it has been unlocked by Apple from my local Vodafone store.

    In my view there is a bug in Blackberry 8700v functionality. its in the functionality of keypad lock.

    Assumption ...you are in UK
    If you purchased the iPhone from Vodafone it will be locked to them
    You will need to request they unlock the iPhone before you can use
    it on Orange no other way
    In UK  Apple are the ONLY source of unlocked new  iPhones

    See above From what I can see the Thai carriers lock their iPhones and do not unlock
    If it came from direct from Apple in Thailand  then it should be unlocked
    Borrow a sim from a different carrier to yours and see if it gives service

            i recently unlocked my phone from rogers to fido, for the first 2 days everything worked fine but it still said rogers network. when i turned the phone on n off again it reset to the fido network but i am unable to view youtube videos (Says : An error has occurred attempting to play media.). i cannot use any of the apps using wifi even tho they worked before the reboot. and i cannot seem to set up my email account.
           i changed the apn to internet.fido.ca using fido as password n username, i went to the fido store, rodgers store n called both there technical support with no help.
             How can i fix this problem, ive searched many different forums but nothing seems to work

    You left out one key thing... with Fido, have you registered your BlackBerry PIN on your Blackberry Internet Service account?

    When i connect my phone to my laptop it connects me straight away to my blackberry software on my laptop, once connected it tells me to update my phone, so i click update and it then it brings me to a screen thats called unlock blackberry device ,then it askes me to type in my password, i don't know my password, also alot of people are saying the password is stored on my phone but when i swich on my phone it comes up saying reload software:507.
    I do not no what to do please someone help me!!!!

    I live in France. I have bought a new BlackBerry 8700v on eBay with all his accessories in a box; it has an azerty keyboard. No sim card in it. So I take a subscription at SFR who send me a sim card. In my subscription a connection to the web was include. But my smartphone says  : Failed to connect to the internet, java.io.IOException Open tunnel - failure.
    So, I've call SFR who says that a software element is absent in my phone : Vodafone Live. I say OK, can you install it ?  They answer no, you must to adress to BlackBerry service, we can't help you !
    This is the reason of my mail to you, because actually with my BlackBerry, I only receive and sent phone calls : it's poor for a such smartphone...
    Since a year, I try to find on the Net this famous software Vodafone Live, but I don't find the least downloading. I'm ready to pay a subscription in order to get my subscription operational.
    Can you help me ?

    Something like Vodafone's N80 is a Vodafone live handset, I wonder if there's just different version's of nokia's wap browser for these two devices?
