Unlock iPad with default password

I have recently (3 days back) bought iPad2 ( iOS5.0 ) with smart cover. I have used it for 2 days and it's asking me to enter passcode to start the iPad. I have not even set the password to the iPad and not sure why it's asking the password to enter.  Is there any default password to iPad? How can I unlock it now ?
Thanks
Sanjay

iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you don't have the Passcode, you need to restore the device from the computer it was last synced with. There is no "default" passcode.
Follow the instructions for putting the device in recovery mode >  iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • I upgraded to ios5 and now I can't log into my ipad with my password.  How can I fix this?, I upgraded to ios5 and now I can't log into my ipad with my password.

I upgraded to ios5 and now I can't log into my Ipad with the password I had set and been using for the last 2 years.  What do I need to do to get logged in?

You will have to format your iPad.  Looks like that's the only way to reset your password.
    Formatting your iPad
Turn off your iPad, turn on iTunes, hold large button down on ipad while connecting the white ipad cord to your Pc.
When the window prompts format iPad,let the button go and press format button on iTunes.
That is how I solved the same problem.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • Last update locked my ipad with a password - how do I unlock without restoring?

My iPad was plugged in - NOT password protected, because I do not have children and my iPad stays at home.  Picked it up to use it yesterday and it is requiring a passcode, which I never set!  VERY frustrated with the security "FEATURES" of the last update.  On another frustrated note...Do not like that I cannot use the same passcode on my iphone either - it required a change and is "helping me" so I don't have a security breach, but it is taking away my rights as a consumer to have the same passcode for YEARS if I really wanted it!  Explain to me how I would teach my MIL with a brain injury to keep changing her passcode too???  Seriously - we should be able to turn this OFF!

I understand your frustration and your anger due to the fact the the update caused this situation, but unfortunately there is no way to bypass the Passcode without restoring the device.
If you are that diligent about the way that you use the iPad, I have to assume that you have a current backup as you should. After you restore the iPad, you should be able to restore from the backup becuse the backup should not contain the passcode, if in fact the update did cause this situation. After you restore from the backup and sync with iTunes - if you use iTunes - your iPad should be pretty much back to where it was.
I am not sure what you are talking about by not being able to use the same Passcode on your phone.

  • What do i do if an ex employe locked my ipad with icloud password.

    Here's the situatiën.
We use ipads to go to our customers and show our products. There is an (ex) employe who is fired from the company. (With a good reasen).
This guy used icloud settings with his own icloud account. When he was fired he remotely locked the ipad. He now says that the ipad was his. It was never his ipad. We called him but he changed his number. We mailed him and emailed him. No response. We tried to restore with itunes but it doesn't work. Someone told us to go apple store with your receipt, but here is another problem. We changed our bookkeeper company because they had an issue with an employe who lost alot of receipts from a lot of company's Including ours. (I know that this sounds like a fairy tale). The receipt from the ipad was probably (99% sure) lost with this company's problem.
I am stuck with a beautiful idevice which i cannot use anymore. I even went to the police but they say they cant help me with this problem.
    Please anyone advice..
    I am going crazy..

  • Unable to check-in or refresh iPads with iCloud passwords.

I have 40 iPads and have recently been forced to upgrade to iOS 7 (because the users - students - did so on their own and a lot of issues occurred). I still can't believe that users are allowed to upgrade the OS (essentially the firmware) on loaned-out devices. It's an IT logistics nightmare.  What if iOS 7 did what the AppleTV 6 upgrade did?
Anyway, if a user is assigned an iPad and they put their own iCloud account on the device, I am unable to check that device back in to Apple Configurator. I also am unable to successfully back it up or refresh the device.
I've had the student in question delete the iCloud account but if all 40 students did that, I'd be going crazy. Imagine if it were 400 iPads instead of 40?
Is there an easier way to allow students to utilize their own iCloud accounts to backup documents, etc, without requiring them to delete the account before I perform upgrades/mainenance? Is this going to happen every time or is this only happening because she upgraded to iOS 7 on her own?
I've never been so frustrated with Apple as I have with this upgrade to 7. Allowing individual users to upgrade a kiosk device... and then not communicating about the new Configurator... and then FORCING upgrades when preparing new devices...  days of work lost and more days to come.

We have had a similar problem as well - inCopy claims that an assignment is checked out, but the user cannot access it to check it  back in  or make changes.
Did you guys ever figure out a fix?

  • Ihad to change my password on my computer for my hotmail-but I can't open my email on IPad with any password what to do?

I had to change my password on my computer-now when I went to the IPad-2 it asked my for my passwork for the hotmail. I entered the new one but it said
    incorrect-what to I do?

If you mean that you you cannot access your email in the mail app - you need to change the password in the mail settings.
Settings>Mail>Hotmail Account - tap on the account and change the password and then change it in the incoming mail server and tap on the SMTP server under Outgoing Mail Server, tap on the SMTP server under the Primary Server heading and then change the password in there as well.

  • Id wont unlock even with new password

Only on ITunes on my PC this happens. I went to update some apps, got the message I was locked due to security. I changed my password, it was accepted but i still get the locked message. For some reason, I'm having to change my password on Apple/ITunes/ICloud all the time because it won't recognize it after a few times.

Sometimes IT is just random. A day or two later it worked out just fine ... So I´m a happ Jabber-user once again.
