Hello, i have an Iphone 3G and my carrier said that i already can unlock my phone, but itunes show me the message, the sim is not suported. i already restor my phone. how much can it take to the info, go from my carrye to apple?

Apple won't be able to help you with unlocking your phone. Apple just sells the phones but if you use your phone through a phone company/carrier, it is their responsibility for unlocking phones and has nothing to do with Apple.
If your phone is locked to Orange, then you'll need to contact Orange to ask them to unlock it for you. Nobody else can help you except Orange in this case. You need to contact them directly.

Unfortunately, 3 weeks ago I had the same error on my iPhone 3GS. After reading and reading all about this error on discussion forums on apple.com, I had to take my iPhone to the Applce Care Center: my iPhone was completely dead and no chance to get fix. Fortunately the garantee haven't expired and I got a brand new iPhone.

HT1267 Does an Unlocked iPhone 4S have a MEID number?

I purchased an unlocked iPhone 4S from the Apple store in the United States. The reason for purchasing the unlocked phone is that I currently live abroad, and am using a SIM card from a wireless provider in my current country of residence. How do I find my MEID number? I am only finding the IMEI number.
I've gone to Settings > General > About like the information said, but instead of an MEID number, i have the IMEI number. I will be back in the States soon and am working with Verizon (who handles my US account) on getting this iPhone to work when I get back. They keep insisting that I give them the MEID number, but, again, it's nowhere to be found.
Do unlocked iPhones only have IMEI numbers?

An MEID number is unique to CDMA phones. It does not apply to an unlocked iPhone as the unlocked iPhones are only capable of using GSM networks. Though the iPhone 4S contains both GSM and CDMA hardware, the CDMA side is disabled in the unlocked phones. It can not be used on any CDMA network.
A CDMA iPhone can not be unlocked for use on another CDMA network, nor will any CDMA carrier permit you to 'bring your own iPhone' to their network.
If you purchased an unlocked iPhone, you can not use it with Verizon. If you wanted a phone to use on Verizon and on foreign GSM networks when travelling, you should have purchased an iPhone through Verizon or directly from Apple intended to be used on the Verizon network.

What blacklist? There is no universal blacklist in the US. They're working on it, but it does not exist as of this writing.
Apple can't do anything about it. They are not a law enforcement agency.

I have an unlocked iPhone from the Apple Store.
So I'm visiting Mexico for a few days and I bought a Mexican SIM card so I can use my phone in Mexico.
The carrier (Telcel) ask me for my iPhone's IMEI.
My question is:
The have my IMEI, will that affect the unlocked iPhone?
I mean, I'll be able to still using it in my country?
I normally use Rogers (Canada).

The Mexican carrier cannot lock your phone if that is your question. I'm guessing they want this as part of the activation of the SIM.

They told me that i have to go to Vodafone shop and told them that i want to unlock my IMEI to be an official unlocked iPhone! So, yesterday when i went to Vodafone, they told me that they can't do this! I mean, that they can't unlock my imei and i have to do an unofficial unlock!! Unlocking is accomplished by them submitting a request to Apple, and once processed, you restore the phone using iTunes on your computer.
You'll have to contact the carrier it's locked to to find out their specific requirements. There may be an additional fee.
IF the receipt from Apple says that it was sold as unlocked, Apple Care should be able to resolve the issue for you without a charge.

i have an used sprint unlocked iPhone 5 that was passed to me from my sister and the sprint carrier unlocked for international but when I put my SIM card from my Brazilian carrier ( Claro) is keeping saying invalid SIM card and doesnt work. So I was wondering what can I do in braxil to fix this problem?? I have been told to use iTunes.. i don't have anything in the phone that it need to be back up in iTunes.. If you have been told to restore the phone with iTunes, then why don't you do this? It is irrelevant whether you have data that needs to be backed up or not.
You need to restore the phone as new with iTunes in order to complete the unlock. You should get a message after the restore informing you that the phone has been unlocked. If the SIM does not work after that, then Sprint has NOT unlocked the phone, and you would have to go back to them. Apple does not unlock phones; only the carriers do.

Wind mobile wasnt supporting Iphones until they decided to let people use Iphone 5s with their $40 plan.And as i know, Turkey is the only country that asks you to register the imei on your passport to use it. So, most of people did not know it. so procedures are changing country by country. Are you sure that If I buy an Iphone 5s from a canadian apple store, use it with my wind mobile line and the turkish line in Turkey?

Any help would be appreciated. I have summarised the situation below:
1. Lost iphone 5 in Japan so I bought a replacement second hand off eBay
2. It was advertised as unlocked
3. I took it to Vodafone when it arrived and they said it was locked and wouldn't accept their sim
4. I contacted the seller who told me they must have forgotten to complete the unlocking process, they told me to go to this website and unlock it with the IMEI: Telstra: https://unlock.telstra.com/iphoneunlock/main?execution=e1s1
5. The phone is still saying it's locked
6. I called the seller who contacted Telstra and Telstra confirmed that the phone is unlocked.
7. The phone still won't accept my vodafone sim
8. I restored the phone in DFU mode with the vodafone sim in it and after restoration the phone still says that it's locked.
Any help would be appreciated - tearing my hair out.

Try reading what I wrote - Telstra is the carrier, that link is to their website and that's how you unlock an iphone with them. You put in the IMEI, wait 72 hours and then complete the tethering process via restoring the phone using itunes. Or so they say.
There would be no point trying to scam me because I paid via paypal and paypal will give me my money back if I make a claim. I will make a claim if I can't resolve this issue in the next two days but I need a phone ASAP so it's better for me to try and get it working before I give up.
