I finished the contract with bell and I want to UNLOCK my iphone4 on iOS6.0.1
As noted, Only the carrier can unlock an iPhone... Unfortunately per this article:

Bell do not offer unlocking.

I update my IPhone4 to IOS6 from IOS4.3.3. My all songs are missing in the Iphone4. How to get those songs into my Iphone from ITunes. Even after sync also not coming to IPhone.
The iphone is not storage/backup device.
The sync is one way - computer to iphone.
The only exception is itunes purchases. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one. -

If it is grey and/or won't allow you to slide it to the on position, follow these steps... More than likely you will need to get it serviced.

Restart your iOS device.
Make sure that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
Make sure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
If you still can't turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options. If you can turn Wi-Fi on but are experiencing other issues with Wi-Fi, see how to resolve those Wi-Fi issues. -
hi i used to have O2 pay monthly contract but it ended in September 2012, since the contract expired I keep requesting O2 to unlock my iphone4. But they keep saying we are unable to unlock because of error. This is going on for 2 years. O2 keep saying they retrying and nothing happening. I am frustrated. How to unlock my phone? As the carrier that locked the iPhone ,O2 are the only organisation that can unlock the iPhone
That said they are the most co-operative of all UK carriers with unlocking

im having the same problem. i talked to a friend of mine who is basically a genuis and he said it probably is Apple's server...that so many people are updating and its causing this. i havent found a true answer yet, i tried to call apple support, but that was hopeless. i thought maybe restoring my phone or something, but i dont want to do that and then realize that if i waited til tomorrow or so that i didnt have to. but im stuck just like you guys!

you'll have to set it up as a new phone. You have no choice. If you've been using your phone as recommended, you should have little, if any, data loss.

Did you get it officially unlocked by going through the phone carrier? If not, that means you hacked or jailbroke your phone and we cannot offer help for a jailbroken phone.

Verizon refused to unlock my iphone4 because they thought the iphone was a stolen phone. I bought the phone on ebay and my daughter had used the phone for several months, later on, she gave it to her sister after upgrading it to Iphone 5. But when her sister needed to transfer her old phone to this phone, Verizon couldn't reactivate it, and the reason was they said the phone was a stolen phone. How could Verizon activate it but couldn't re-activate???
With all the power they have to lock, unlock, reset, reboot or whatever, but they couldn't unlock a simple iphone.

where I work about this.Person steals phone, posts it on ebay, you get phone, phone activated. Real owner discovers it is stolen, reports it stolen to Verizon. Verizon puts phone on black list. This does not deactivate phone, but cannot be reactivated again on Verizon. You daughter gets new phone, gives it to sister. Cannot reactivate.
The real victim here is the real owner that had his or her phone stolen.
