Unlock sim (puk) now?

I just got an HTC Rezound, and I put some apps from my old phone onto my sim card hoping I could transfer them into the Rezound. At the Verizon store the Verizon guy said it didn't work. Any suggestions? Also, when I look under My Device on the computer on the Verizon Wireless page, under Device Actions I get the message above: Unlock sim (puk) now. Any ideas what that might mean?

Your setup works fine for DV, because you used a DV deck and most likely DV footage. But now you are working with 720p HD footage (what format, BTW? HDV, dvcpro HD?). That same setup won't work for monitoring HD. Now you need an HD box or card to send out a proper HD signal. And since you have an older G5, you won't find any current solutions. You'll have to look at used capture cards that are PCIx. Or you and look at the Matrox MXO, that connects to the computer via a monitor connection. DVI.

IPhone is asking for a sim PUK..althought I no longer use it as a phone. I use it at home wit my WiFi. I can no longer enter the PUK I got from att. so my phone won't let me access anything now

I have been using my original iPhone for over a year with just wifi in my home. My contract was up with at&t and I didn't renew it. Where is the sim card you had with the phone? Even though the contract was up the sim card can still be used in the phone to avoid the please insert sim card message. I did it with my old 3G when I upgraded to the iphone 4.

Only the carrier an iPhone is locked to can authorize the phone's official unlocking. So, you need to contact the carrier your phone is locked to to see if they offer unlocking & what the cost/procedure is, & if you qualify.
There is no other way to get any iPhone officially unlocked.

No such thing as an unlocked, SIM free iPhone !

My wife bought an unlocked, SIM iPhone 4S so that she could change network provider at will if she had problems. Trouble is that she has now found out that when you start an SIM only contract Apple locks the phone to the provider when you first connect to iTunes. She now has to unlock her iPhone in order to change provider. Why does Apple do this? It makes buying an unlocked iPhone pointless and also seriously devalues the iPhone.

For the last time an iPhone purchased from an Apple Corporate store does not lock to ANYTHING or any carrier

That will not lock the iphone however if you are convinced the iPhone has locked to Vodafone then take the iPhone straight to the Apple Store .If you paid full retail price and it has locked to a carrier that is wrong ,and Apple will rectify the issue without debate
They actually advertise the benefits of buying from them and also the flexibility of not being locked to a carrier

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

FYI: Damage like that is not covered by warranty, & all Apple will offer you is an out of warranty replacement...cost, in the US, for an iPhone 4, is US $149.

No. Apple has no part in the decision ot lock or unlock at all. Lock/unlock is 100% the decision of the carrier. Apple has nothing to do with this decision.

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement.
