Unlock to go to homescreen

First of all: hi iphone user!
i am from germany, so excuse my bad english...
so here my question (ipnone 4, ios 4.3.5): when i unlock the lockscreen to use the homescreen, the display goes for a second to black before showing the homescreen ( but time, handy reception, and battery are continuously shown ).
on other iphone 4 there is no "second blackscreen"...you know what i mean?
so why does my iphone show that black screen? i know its not a real problem i am asking for, i just wonder...
hope for answers
greets from germany

Your English is just fine!  It shouldn't do that.  Try the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B.
Restart phone
Reset phone - press both home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears (~10 seconds). (No data loss)
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup. (No data loss.)
Restore phone in iTunes as new, without using a backup.

  • IPod slow to unlock & open music

When i enter my password into my iPod correctly, my iPod will take a while to unlock and show the homescreen. Same with when I open the music tab. Help?

even i have noticed his several times.the reason for this is:
when u press the center button to close an app or music or video, they all will be running in background and take up all your ram and make your ipod slow.so u need to shut those background apps.
to close those apps press the center button twice quickly and u ll find the apps that are running at the bottom.tap the icons of that app and press the close symbol on that app.....
    hope this speeds up

I am glad there was a copy paste added but it would have been nice to use your own ringtones and I don't understand why they could not use gps for the direction of the phone too.
I am sure if they can pinpoint you on the map they could tell what direction your holding the phone on the 3g.
The cam is very poor on the 3g phone it,s more like an afterthought.
I don't understand why apple did not have the function of moving your photos and ringtones with drag and drop onto itunes rather than sync to a folder.
yes there are apps you can buy but even a £20 phone lets you do all of above without added cost to the user.
and where is the software reset for clearing the memory or is that an afterthought too.
PS not picking holes it's a fact.

If you're having all that issue, and your home/sleep buttons don't work, then there isn't much troubleshooting tips to provide.
Take your phone to the Apple store and have it looked at.

  • I have an ipod touch 4g 32 gb. after a week of use, i noticed that sometimes, after i unlock , the homescreen hangs for about 3-6 seconds.

yes so this hanging issue is not all the time. it happens like almost half the times i unlock.
i tried restoring. initially it was ok. then i downloadded an app from the appstore. after downloading i unlocked my ipod and it hangs.
for sure it will hang at this time.
    then it continues to hang
    it is not jailbroken
and its not only the homescreen. its just the whole device. during this hanging time no button will work. the touch interface does not work. nothing. after 5 seconds....everything is back to normal ... it is very very annoying

My Iphone 4 has locked me out. Homescreen will show up but cannot get slider to open keypad. SOmetimes if I tap enough things the key pad will display. When I enter the passcode it will not register. If I hit each passcode number twice it will register but then tells me I have the wrong code. I also have boxes and rectangles that appear to highlight items which never used to come up. Anyone have any experience with something like this?

Wow! Its impressive for you to load iOS 4.2 onto the iPhone 4S. How did you do that?
Moving along, press and hold both the power button and home button together for about 10 seconds. Then, press the power putton to turn it back on.

  • IPhone 6 unlocks but the homescreen wont appear

    Hopefully someone can help me...
I have an iPhone 6 128gb running 8.1 and my issue is that when I unlock my phone using the TouchID my home screen wont show up.
Now I don't update my software because i always wait for bugs to be fixed.. especially since 8.2 BETA is out now..
but nobody has addressed this issue.. does anyone else have this problem or am i just crazy?
BTW my phone screen HAS been replaced by Apple, **** thing shattered a month of having it -___-

This is not a universal iOS 8 issue. I cannot replicate this at all on either an iPhone 5 or iPad 2 running 8.0.2. Have you tried a reset?
You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Ipad 2 Orientation Perma-Locked: Tried restart, unlock on homescreen, reset settings, etc.

    All,
My orientation will not change from landscape/vertical. I've tried a hard reset, reset under Settings, pressing the home button twice and making sure it's unlocked, etc. and nothing will work. Yes the phone belongs to me. It was purchased from United Kingdom Vodafone to West Africa, i had to factory unlock to use any sim in it. so it belongs to me. I did the activation myself, now after updating my iphone to the latest update, it required a user id and password to activate the phone, but anytime i enter the details, it tells me the user Id is not correct but the password is correct..

  • Issue with lockscreen stuck displaying homescreen wallpaper iOS 8.2 iphone 5

By sliding the lockscreen in a quick random way, it displays the homescreen wallpaper whe still on the lockscreen. The time is still there and so is the slide to unlock but it stops me from sliding the screen and getting through. I remember this issue on iPads a while back but for the first time ever I have had this problem on my iPhone 5 since iOS 8.2 about 3 times a day. Anything I can do to stop this from happening? Most of the time to get out I just do a hard reset (home button and lock button held down)

I have the exact same issue, I already contacted Apple support and I am waiting for a response. If I take a screenshot, the border is not in the picture, so it is clearly a display issue.

how do i get my ipod 5 unlocked from the homescreen? plz help

If you have a passcode to the screen lock that you've forgotten, restore the iPod from the computer to which the iPod is synced. For information and instructions, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1212
If that will not work, you'll need to put the iPod into Recovery Mode and then try the Restore again:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
If that still doesn't work, as a last resort try DFU mode:

  • Orange locked phone - have unlock code - now what?...

Hello all I contacted Orange some time back to send me the unlock codes for my Nokia N73. They asked for the relevant details (imei, phone number etc) and said after a £20 charge, they would send them to me (unlocking code + instructions).. 6 days later I have been given some instructions to unlock my N73 on the Orange network but am now lost (and orange haven't a clue).. The instructions are as follows (as they appear on the letter) - "Complete these procedures with an Orange sim card inserted, and switch the handset on" 1 - Press the # key 2 - Press the * key three times - this will produce a 'p' 3 - press the * key four times - this will produce a 'w' 4 - press the * key twice - this will produce a '+' etc etc My question is (and its probably obvious), when i press the # key as per no.1, do i hit enter, send, call etc? Because if you hit the # key alone nothing happens??? If i then press the * key three times (as per instruction 2) - then what?? no 'p' appears? Again nothing happens?/ Really rubbish instructions (or me being really rubbish).. So to be clear - i have all the relevant codes but its the procedure i have problems with.. Please help.

I may take it to a Nokia dealer to do so, or do you think its worth trying myself??
    Thanks
As far as my understanding goes, according to Nokia there is no legitimate way to 'debrand' a handset. That's not to say it cannot be done, there are many instructions to be found on the web if one knows where to look. Debranding, however it is done, essentially flashes (rewrites) generic Nokia firmware to the handset so all data stored in the phone's memory would be lost, anything on the memory card or SIM would be unaffected. Be warned, debranding will void any warranty you have with either your network provider and Nokia.
To be honest, I didn't think that the N73 on Orange was badly affected with branding. My N70 had the Orange Homescreen and that caused many people grief until Orange made it optional with the latest V5 firmware.

This problem barley started today i have never dropped my phone or anything so i dont know why its acting like this.  It has IOS 5.0.1.
It seems to lag when slidding to unlock and when it unlocks and goes to the homescreen it goes black and freezes for a few seconds and it barley started today.
Any advice on what to do

  • Nokia 97 homescreen problem

i cant use homescreen and its appearing blank neither i can use the screen touch pad for dialing homescreen just vanished one day and its not appearing back now

is the touch still working or has it stopped completely?
if taking the battery out and popping it back in doesn't work i suggest a factory reset (it'll not affect any content of the phone but any personalisation of the menu etc will return to the factory preset) but this should give get evederything back to normal.
if the touch has stopped working completely i'd drop it in to your nearest nokia repair centre as they should be able to fix the touchscreen under warranty (my touch screen went dead and the unlock button fell off and they put a new screen on with only a 3hr wait). if you do that i suggest backing everything up on your computer in case they update the software which will wipe everything
    hope that helps!
