Hello my unlocked bold wont register on the network im using t-mobile i have all the service books installed must be some way to fix this i try to put in the pin and imei on bis page i get an error

My advice, keep trying. I've had to try 10 times before, over several hours for a PIN/IMEI to register. Sometimes the servers are slow and sometimes it takes time if you have just unlocked it.

Downgrade to OS 5 From OS 6 on Blackberry Bold 9650
My phone is a Blackberry Bold 9650 and yesterday I upgraded my device software from OS 5 to OS 6. Unfortunately I do not like the way OS 6 operates. Does anyone know how to delete OS 6 from my Blackberry Bold 9650 and then reinstall (downgrade) the OS 5 operating system on it? I went into a Sprint Store and was told that they did not know how to do it and that they did not believe you could "downgrade" from OS 6 to OS 5. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated!!!!! Thank you in advance for any advice or help you can give me!!!

You want to select the 9650 device and scroll DOWN to the link to download the 5.0.0.1030 Multilanguage software.
(which has this filename: File name: 9650_512AMEA_PBr5.0.0_rel1675_PL4.2.0.451_A5.0.0.1030_Sprint_L.P.exe
3. Install the older OS to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
4. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
5. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

Bold 9650 Calendar does not sync with PC after upgrading to OS 6
BB Model - Bold 9650
Carrier/country - Verizon / United States
Device OS level - 6.0.0.432
PC OS version - XP
RIM Desktop Software version - v6.0.1 B21
Outlook version - 2007
The symptoms - When syncing, events in Outlook transfer to device, but the events on my device are not being transferred to Outlook.
I do see that when I go in to my device calendar, then Options, my email addresses are listed as accounts, as well as the Default account. And, when I click on my primary email, it shows 233 entries in my calendar. How are my email adresses associated with the calendar?
I have gone in to the Set-Up App, clicked on my primary email address, then edit, then synchro options, and selected the Calendar. That did not help, so I tried uncheking the option and that did not help either.
If anyone has ideas it will be much appreciated!

dzmiklyProblem solved. I removed the desktop software and reinstalled. Seems to be working now, with minor gltches, but it's working.

BB Bold 9650 - DM Runtime Error "Cannot Find System in Table File"
I am new to these forums and have read as much as I understand without seeing a fix. I recently traded in my BB World Edition (loved it) for the Bold 9650. I uninstalled the old DM I was using and installed DM 6.0 - couldn't sync. Unistalled that and installed v5 - couldn't sync. Did a clean uninstall of all of it, restarted my computer and phone, reinstalled v5 - then got the runtime error.
I am more than frustrated and about ready to call Verizon to return the phone and go back to the World Edition. I have to sync my calendar and contacts for my job - can this be done wirelessly??? I don't have to have DM if I can sync somehow..... HELP!!!!!!!

Bold 9650 is the WORST phone I have ever had!!! :-(
OK... I "upgraded" my phone to the Bold 9650 when it just came out earlier this year, wanting the latest and greatest. I have been an extremely loyal BlackBerry user for more than a decade. In fact, one BlackBerry I had a while back went a year-and-a-half without crashing, freezing, nor giving me any trouble whatsoever. Now, unfortunately, with my bold 9650, I'm lucky of I can go an HOUR-and-a-half without some sort of freeze or crash, and often the only way to get back on track is to pull the battery and restart. Several. Times. Each. Day. And I get REALLY tired of seeing the spinning icon showing me that BlackBery is doing something on its own, but I cannot do a thing with it. Can't move the thumbwheel. Can't enter any text. Can't even shut the phone off!!!
Am I alone, or are others out there experiencing the same problems? I'm about to abandon the Bold 9650 and get something else. What is a good replacedment for it?

Thanks to SuzyQ for your input. Hi OEMMaster, How much memory is on your device? It could be low memory causing your device to freeze. Please try cleaning the memory to free up some space and resources. If your memory cleaning feature is not turned, please use the steps below to enable this feature with helping to avoid low memory. I'm providing steps below for turning this feature along with a link to our website to the user manual and simulator supporting your device. If you have tried these suggestion and still have the issues, I could look into an option of offering you a certified like new replacement if you are under warranty. Please send me a private message with your information to be assisted further. I hope this helps.
To turn on the memory cleaning feature:
1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
2. Click Security > Advanced Security Settings > Memory Cleaning.
3. Select the Enable check box.

Syncing bold 9650 to Vista and Win 7 laptops
Now I have a new problem . I bought a new laptop MS win 7, and I want to sync my BB bold 9650 to this and my old DELL Vista OS
I had to DLoad Desktop Software ver 7.1.0 Bun 33 cause its all I could find at the time . Found some ver 6.1.0 but they were not from Bb so did not want to download
When I sync my Bold with the Old DELL Vista the first 150 of my contacts got corrupted . It appears that the full NAME filed was moved to the company field and now
when i look at contacts in Address card I see nothing on the top line.
If I look at them in Business card view , I can se them but that is not the best way for me to be able to see them all easily .
I tried unistalling and reverting to an earlier DM ver 6.1.0 that I had before but that got corrupted and I am back to version 7.1. 0 Ver 7 dooes not use Intellisync so it syncs differently now
AT some point I deleted all the contacts on the device and transferred them via Out look one way sync .
I had backed them up before so I used that to send them to device.
Now I dont know how to map fields in BB to match outlook 2007 and if that was the problem why did only 100+ contacts have the field changed.
I could go through the 100+ contacts and copy paste "company " filed into name filed if there is no other way but I am afraid it will happen again if i don't figure out what caused it in the first place.
Is there a solution , and how do I map fileds in Outlook to sync properly with BB DM Ver 7.1.0 . I mapped them all correctly a few years ago when I converted from Palm to BB . Was basically trouble free for a long time

company name, fields are greyed out
I just cheked the new Win 7 laptop and the fileds are greyed out there also
So i dont belive all is well . Maybe they are not syncing all ?
I just synced after deleting one contact in outlook on my laptop and I see its still on my phone

BB Bold 9650 update .732 battery problem
I've had this new BB Bold 9650 for a couple weeks since the stores don't seem to carry the Tour anymore. But either way, it wasn't a signal hound but worked fine and battery life was good. But after the .732 update it's still no signal hound but now my battery is dieing after 8 Hrs...of no use!
So since the battery was fine before the update, I'd say it's not a bad device. And I've never had problems in my location with other VZW phones, I'm guessing with the update this device is really working hard to maintain a connection?Taterbug wrote:

Taterbug, I sent you a PM giving you the URL for the .699 file. I did find out one thing. I performed a clean install of my Bold with the 5.0.0.732 upgrade and it seems to be stable for the moment. The battery drain has gone and the signal issues have leveled out. I did a wipe of my device and loaded the .732 OS on my Bold and for the past 4 days it has been doing well. One thing I have found is that when I have WiFi going along with the mobile network too, the battery will drain very fast...in a matter of a few hours. I don't know if the clean install did anything different or not, but for now, for me, all seems to be ok. I just thought I would report this to you all. Any changes, and I will report here.

Mac Blackberry Desktop Manager Won't sync with New Bold 9650
I have a new Bold 9650 (upgraded from a curve). My curve recognized and would sync with no problems. I used BB Desktop Manager to restore my new bold with all it's contacts and such. When showing up in DM, the options for restore and back up are available. When I click on applications it says I need a newer version of desktop manager. I have downloaded the most recent from the website and it still says this.
More importantly, the SYNC option doesn't even come up while the two are connected. It stays greyed out and won't let me get the option to sync. This worked fine with the curve, but the bold won't sync!!! Help please!!!I too had the same problem. See below... there's a workaround. Apparently they are working on it.

Blackberry Bold 9650 OS 6 update email setup error
Hi All, I recently updated my Blackberry Bold 9650 to operating system 6. Ever since I can not access the email setup on the phone! I contacted verizon and they said they have had numerous calls on this. They had no fix except to go online to the VZW/Blackberry site to manage my email accounts. Does anyone have a solution to this error/bug? I used to be able to do this from the phone prior to the update! Thanks!!

It sounds like you need to reload your device's software. Before you do anything else, backup your data with Blackberry Desktop Software. Make sure you have any serial numbers, etc of any 3rd party apps written down. When you are ready, perform a security wipe of your device. To perform the security wipe, do the following:
Go to Options and press the trackpad.
Go to Security and press the trackpad.
Go to Security Wipe and press the trackpad.
Now, select the data you wish to delete. I recommend placing a check in the boxes beside everything except Media Card.
Type the word 'blackberry' without quotation marks in the blank space provided.
Select Wipe Data and press the trackpad. This will initiate the wipe process.
The whole process can take anywhere from 30-45 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on how much data you have and if it is encrypted. Your device might restart a few times or may appear not to be doing anything, but do not stop the precess. Once it has completed, you will be alerted. You can then reload any of your personal data or 3rd party apps. You may not want to do this unless you have 2 or 3 hours to spend. Hope this helps.

Bold 9650 freezes when uploading pics (Facebook v1.9? issue?)
I have the Bold 9650 and use v5.0.0.975 and upgraded to the new Facebooko v1.9 as soon as it was available (did not get the beta app, I waited) and ever since I did whenever I go to take a pic and upload it to FB, my phone freezes and locks up. Every time! IF it decides to unfreeze (and that has only happened less than 1/2 a dozen times) then it will not allow me to cick on any other icons on my phones main screen...sms, contacts, email, browser. The only other solution is a battery pull and that is getting old REALLY quick!
Well, let me just say that this is when I noticed the problem...I am assuming it is tied to the FB upgrade, but I could be wrong.
I have tried posting on Crackberry.com and not gotten any helpful advice so wondering if someone in here could help me with some suggestions to prevent this from happening every time.
I am thisclose to doing a complete system wipe and starting over to see if that would help...but that would be my last resort, obviously!

Valene: I never did the security wipe - I upgraded to OS 6.0.0.028 and am STILL having this problem with uploading pics using the FB app as well as the mobile site...I have 11 months left before my NE2 and will more than likely be switching to an Android at that time...ticks me off that every time I want to upload a pic and share it that I have to do a freakin battery pull. Sure hope the powers-that-be at FB and BB see these posts and get to steppin on a fix! -
Need to sync contacts from an old Desktop address book on Bold 9650
Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes!
I have a user with a Bold 9650 that has two Desktop address books on their device:
- 1 from the old enterprise activation at a previous company that we saved and restored
- 1 from the current activation that is correctly syncing with Exchange
For the old one, they want to pull in about 800 contacts sitting there and get them syncing with Exchange.
Quesiton is how do I do this? I can't seem to back up the book and restore it over the current, and I can't otherwise seem to access it in a way to do this. I know there must be a way, so any hints would be great!
Desktop 6 is installed on their system, and I do have admin access to the BES Server, etc if need be.Hard Reset the new Treo so it's completely erased. Perform a HotSync, and when Palm Desktop asks you to "Create a New Account, or use an Existing One?" choose "Existing" and pick the HotSync name of your old data.

Is it possible to get the 7.0 operating system for the Blackberry Bold 9650?
Sorry. 6.0 is the highest you can go on the 9650. You could load a hybrid OS that has 7.0 enhancements, but in the end it is still a 6.0 OS.

Apploader.msi error, bold 9650
okay, I have a bold 9650 with the 6.0 os and it was running fine. The update came out. I installed it. Now, I cannot run the desktop manager it is constantly looking for apploader.msi. I have unistalled and reinstalled the OS for pc, running outlook 2007. I have removed everything with "blackberry or rim". help
This posting referred to another Bold 9650 listing. Reading it still might give you an idea. Think the example would start with 9650 instead of 9870.
I will assume for a moment that you have only one phone, e.g. the Bold 9780 smartphone and the driver
is not yet loaded but if it is go to the last paragraph near the bottom which starts with "Now it appears ".
I suggest first checking in ‘Add or Remove Programs’ accessed via the control panel whether you have
these 2 programs installed:
BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.1
BlackBerry Device Software v6.0.0 for BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone
The important one is the Device software for the proper phone. You might want also find a listing of:
BlackBerry Device Software Updater
as well on this page. This software is not needed to communicate with your phone and is optional.
(I don’t know whether one has to install device software for each model of a phone which one connects
to the DTM. I noticed you have also a Bold 9650 and it might not like the Bold 9780 device driver and
vice
versa. I assume you need both drivers present when you have 2 different phones, see below).

wait a bit till the page is populated and choose you particular need (you did not list in your profile the
phone company).
After you have the right device driver for Version 2647 hit download and store the handheld software
also known as the 'device driver' to a temporary location on your hard drive (remember it so you can go
there later).
When you get later an error it is not called ‘Device Application Loader Wizard’ but ‘Handheld Application
Loader Wizard’ (OK… semantic…. so we muggle users should not get the proper hint ...?..…that why
they call it a wizard...I guess...Potter wake up...).
Leave your DTM as is (no reinstall required), then install the new downloaded software on your
computer via double-clicking at the filename in the location where you stored your download. This
handheld software will later update the software on your BlackBerry Wireless Handheld, e.g. Bold9780
and is the ‘glue’ between the DTM and your phone.
If you get later a ‘Handheld Application Loader Wizard’ error message search for ‘Handheld’ on the BB
support page and find my posting there.
Now it appears you have an issue with the second phone, the Bold 9650. I guess you need an
additional entry for the second phone, i.e. have to install another driver for the Bold 9650 smart phone
and the line would then read after the installation in 'Add or Remove Programs':
BlackBerry Device Software v6.0.0 for BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone
I am sure the DTM can sort out which driver to select according to the USB connected phone model if
the drivers are present.
Since I am a muggle and write too much stuff (?) you wizards can have a LOL for free... -
Issue syncing Bold 9650 and Entourage Calendar using Desktop Manager
I'm trying to sync calendar items in Entourage residing on my MacBook Pro with calendar items on my BB Bold 9650 and noticed that "Entourage" is no longer offered as a calendar choice with which to sync (I've been a BB and Entourage user for 2 years and this is a new issue - Entourage used to be offered as a choice). I tried to fix by uninstalling Desktop Manager and reinstalling with newest version - no change - problem persists. Calendar items are not syncing between BB and Entourage - any idea how to fix?

If you click on Calendar in BlackBerry Desktop Software does it list more than 1 calendar?
Also you're saying in Contacts does it just list entourage?
Also open up iCal on the Mac, do you see an entourage calendar listed?
