Unlocked iPhone 5 help please!

I am currently on at@t with the atrix 4g. I know that you cannot buy an unlocked iPhone 5 off contract yet from apple. I am new to the unlocked phone world and wondering how it will work. When the unlocked iPhone 5 off contract, does come out from apple will I just be able to go in store and buy it? Because I am currently using my atrix I do not have a micro sim, will at@t give me one? I only have a 3G sim because technically I only get hspa+ data speeds from at@t, since the new iPhone takes advantage of Lte, do I have to get a Lte sim? If you guys could just walk me through the process I would greatly appreciate it.

At the time that that you purchase an unlocked iPhone from Apple iit will most likely not include a SIM. This has been the case with the 4 and 4S. You will have to provide your own, depending on what carrier you choose. If you decide to swictch your ATT contract to the iPhone they should provide you with a SIM.
Plus you will be able to canccel your iPhone ATT contract at anytime since you are providing your own iPhone.

for the whole day my network has been 'Searching...'
i have tried airplane mode on and off, turning my phone on and off and network reset and taking sim in and out.
so i backed up my phone and restored to factory settings as i don't think i did the option of choosing manually select a carrier.

If this is a new iPhone then you will have free access, as all iPhones come with it, to Apple support. I would have them take care of an issue like this.

GIve it time. Yahoo has been have persistently random issues in past weeks. If you don't want to wait, you can try deleting and readding your account info.
The issue is on yahoo's end and all their updates/upgrades.

Unlocking Iphone 3G-- Help

How do I unlock IPhone 3G. I was using the phone in the US for a year and cancelled the connection when returning to India. I have heard that Apple provides a patch using which I can get the phone unlocked through ITunes and continue to upgrade the OS.
Please let me know a viable solution as I need to use the phone with my provider here in India.

Unlocking has to be done via the original iPhone provider. If you bought it from AT&T in the US, then I'm afraid you are stuck, as AT&T do not offer unlocking.
You'll have to sell your current iPhone and buy another for use in India.

If your iPad was work provided there may be options that they locked out. For example, a privately owned device can be set to never auto lock (last I knew anyway) but it's not uncommon for work or school provided devices to not have the 'never' option.

Hi im alex, about 1 week ago i dropped my iphone 5s and when i picked it up there was no cracks on the front facing lcd but when tried to unlock my phone i noticed that the whole screen was black with colored lines except 1/8 of the screen. i could still recieve calls listen to music and use my phone but was extremely hard due to the fact that i can only see through 1/8. the next day i took my phone to apple and they tried to swindle me into replacing my screen but i decided to check other places before i did anything so i waited. today i was going to go get it fixed since i had time but when i tried to back up my iphone my computer was not recognizing my phone i tried using various computers and i still had no luck. my touchscreen is no longer working i can only see black and and colored lines. i if i try to call myself my iphone will send it voicemail...my ringer stopped working today too.. will replacing the screen fix the problem or is it more serious

'Swindle you'? More like they tried to offer you an option to pay less than the value of the device ($549 USD + tax) or the normal out-of-warranty fee ($269 USD + tax), and instead offered the less expensive screen replacement ($129 USD + tax).
But now that you've opened it, you've voided the two less expensive of those options. Now, you'll either be finding an unauthorized third-party shop to try and help, and you'll have to hope they don't swindle you, especially since they won't have legitimate or legal parts, or spend at least $549 USD + tax to get another iPhone 5S.
Oh, and be advised, Apple doesn't sell parts to anyone, so any repair shop with a 'replacement' screen is either providing you with A) a screen salvaged from another device, B) a counterfeit screen or C) a stolen part.

Bought a blocked iphone need help please?

I bought a iphone 4 off gum tree and when I went to pick up the phone was dead, I took it home and charged it only to find out that the iphone is blocked and has a 4 digit pin that I can't unlock. How can I over come this issue and how much would it cost. I saved my iTunes library to my external hard drive right before my old mac laptop died and then tried to transfer it to my new iMac. Now when I try to play my old music it skips like a scratched cd. Also, now I can't add any music to my iPhone unless it was purchased recently through itunes and downloaded through icloud. I tried to "Organize" my library in hopes of correcting the problem but my iMac just ejects my external harddrive part way through. Please help!

Of what did your old Mac die?
It sounds to me like you have some file corruption somewhere. Either in the transfer of your library to the external or the external itself is flaky if it keeps ejecting.
