UNLOCKED not activating.

Hi,
I have purchased two iPhones 4 from the UK checked the model number it is MC605B/A & MC603/A which is are unlocked models
I inserted the sim and connected it to iTunes it says that the sim is not accepted and is asking me to get a sim from a carrier which supports the iPhone. I am currently out of UK and wont be back for a very long time.
What can I do ??

I have same problem with my IPhone. I have purchased iPhone 4 SIM-free and one iPad (with O2 pay&go sim for Internet) from Apple Store, Churchill Square, UK. Model number iPhone is MC603B/A. When I was in UK I activated my iPhone with sim from iPad (I can't call anywhere with this sim) because I needed to use my iPhone with wifi and wanted try new iPhone. But now I can't use my iPhone with another carrier in my country.

I purchased a membership online last week and went to my local Best Buy on Sunday to activate my membership. I was told to wait up until 24 hours for it to update online but it has been over 48 hours now and I am still unable to use the discount on any game. Can someone help me with this please?

MIke, I am having an identical issue. Bought the Gamers Club on 7/10 as part of an online order and activated it in store on 7/28. When I tried ordering online today it is not showing the discount and I also I never recieveed the welcome coupons vis email. After spending WAY too long on the phone with someone and getting nowhere(although he told me that he checked with someone who confirmed it was activated in the system) I came upon this post. Thanks in advance for any assistance. P.S. Why do they mail the card out and make you come in to activate instaed of just adding it to the account when it is purchased online...It's 2015 after all. I'd advise you to bring the card back to your local store. They'll need to activate the card and make sure that they process a transaction for a new video game to see the benefits added. If they're unable to attach the membership to your My Best Buy account, then they'll need to exchange the card at the store.
I apologize again for the inconvenience and please keep me in the loop on how it goes at the store.

Did you follow the instructions AT&T provided when they informed you the device had been approved for unlocking?

Contact AppleCare (or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
I'm not exactly sure what procedures are in place for such events but Apple can assist in such cases, but it may take a while and you may need to provide a death certificate and a note from the executor that the iPad has been willed to yourself, along with an original proof of purchase.

Only the Carrier it is Locked to can Unlock it.
Contact the Carrier.

Gamers Club Unlocked - Not showing up as activated

I preordered several Disney Infinity items back on 7/21 along with a My Gamers Club Unlocked card. The 20% discount was applied to everything in my order. The card itself came directly to my house a couple of days later. I took the card to my local Best Buy store to have it activated. Like many others on this message board, the cashiers were confused and had to call over a manager. They apparently activated it, but it then charged me $30 again...they processed that as a store discount. The manager basically said she didn't have time to figure it all out so she was just processing it as a store credit. They did ask me for My Best Buy membership information so I figured it was all set. That was on August 1st. I still can't see the card on my online account. I am looking to preorder several other games, but won't until this problem is resolved. I requested help via email and was just directed to call an 800 number. Any help would be appreciated. I saw where several people on this message board had the store ring up a game when the card was activated, but no one did for me in the store. I figured it was working when the discount was applied to my online order. Thanks in advance for the help. rumrunner25

There seems to be an issue with the stores process and how it's communicated. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience you've experienced with getting your Gamers Club Unlocked membership activated.
The stores management team should be able to resolve this issue and I personally apologize for the manager’s behavior. We never want our customers to feel this way.
It does appear that you were given the wrong card. I'd advise you to return to the store and have them attempt to activate it again. Make sure that they add your My Best Buy account information to the transaction and ring-up a new game purchase before leaving the store.
If they're unable to active your current card, then they'll need to exchange it. Please note that the card shouldn't have "Gifting" on it or on your purchase receipt. If it does, then this is the wrong card.

Gamers Club Unlocked not showing as activated

On July 21st, I preordered some PS4 games online and also purchased the Gamers Club Unlocked. It applied the 20% discount to my online order with no problem.
On July 26th, I took the Gamers Club Unlocked card I received in the mail to my local store and also purchased a game. They scanned the bar code under the sticker and rang up my game purchase. The game was 20% off, so I figured the Gamers Club Unlocked membership was activated correctly.
However, when I go to purchase a game online, I am not getting the 20% off. I looked up my in store purchase from July 26th online and it looks like it should've activated my membership:

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Sounds like your phone was hacked to work with any network. Doing the update re-locked it to the original carrier. All you can do now is contact the carrier it is locked to to see if they have an unlocking policy. Note that if it's AT&T they do not offer unlocking. otherwise find an un-activated sim for the original carrier and you can use it as an iPod.

Your iPhone was not officially unlocked and has now relocked to the original cell carrier. Call AppleCare, give them the model and serial number of your iPhone and find out which cell carrier it is locked with. Next contact that cell carrier and see what their unlock process is and if you qualify.

This is normally part of a message that indicates the Iphone was jailbroken or unlocked by someone other than the carrier.
If so, we cannot help you here and you need to work with your carrier.
